Real deal Thai place. Serving Thai spice levels, not American spice levels. Lots of unique items on the menu. We got the duck curry and the starter sampler. All very tasty. The outdoor court area was a nice spot to dine as well

Second time attempting to place a to go order, 30-45 minute wait, so I left. Hire some additional staff, it shouldn’t take that long for a to go order from a Thai restaurant. Not to mention the staff is very inattentive. There was one individual in front of me placing an order by a female receptionist, a male receptionist pops out from the back and bypassed me to check out a person who came in after me for their carry out. Second visit update:I ordered the hot basil with chicken again. It was still delicious but again it wasnt spicy regardless of my request for spicy. This time I managed to get the attention of the staff and they brought me a couple containers of Thai chilis and bam, amazing food. I would give the food this visit a solid 5 stars, but service was less attentive than it should be. 4 stars is a fair rating to average the 5 star food and 3 star service.Original visit:My basil chicken was beautiful, but it wasnt spicy. The whole point of Thai food is to be spicy. Wait staff never came back so while I had wanted to give then a chance to correct it, they never gave themselves a chance.

Its hidden in a shopping Plaza. Has great lunch specials and yummy dishes. Service is fast. Ive never had a bad experience except last time I visited and the cashier asked if my friend wasnt tipping. Rude. Tipping is optional.

The atmosphere and dining options are decent. Food is good though appetizers came after the main course.But theres a huge red flag on how they operate.I was presented with the bill adding 18% gratuity decided by themselves. Upon questioning, they said for groups they add it and no one questions it. I asked them to show the rule which of course they didnt. I was planning to give decent tips anyways but had to call out this bad business practice. Beware of this.

Food was good. The crab starter was soggy and I felt the difference in taste compared to the last time.I was so surprised to learn that they consider a 3 year old an adult and counted her while presenting the bill.They added 18% gratuity on our bill without even asking us while in the bill tip suggestions was displayed.Upon asking they said its the norm which we challenged and our friend asked for the rule book which they were not able to show us.We were 4 adults and a 3 year old.They kept on arguing that a 3 year old is counted as an adult and thats ridiculous.We clearly stated that its up to us how much we want to leave on the table.We actually wanted to leave a very good tip but this malpractice ruined our experience.

The restaurant got nominated by the LA Times, and I agree that their food is really good. Congratulations!However, they advertised an 8.88% discount on online orders, but unfortunately, it wasnt applied to my order. When I asked the staff, they couldnt explain why or fix it.Very disappointing.

Friendly and efficient service. Ordered the pad Thai noodles which comes with a couple of shrimp and lots of meat (we ordered it with pork); Garlic green beans with beef and Just Fried Rice. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Highly recommend.

The food isnt fantastic, it doesnt have very much flavor at all, and they give you such small portions. I eat Thai Food all the time, everywhere I go, and this place is not good. We had the Pad See Ew and it was flavorless. We had the crab ragoons, and they didnt have very much flavor either, and the pastry they used was too thick and flavorless. The egg rolls were basically just cabbage, they were not good at all. We also had a side of peanut sauce that wasnt very good. We paid almost $40 for the food, and it was such a waste. There is an amazing thai food place right down Ventura, that is open until 2am, and it is so good, and has great prices, and large portions--go there instead. We will not be back to this place.

Came around 5pm on a weekday and it was nice and quiet, by the time we left it was getting packed. I normally stick to the easy dishes - fried rice, pad thai, yellow curry, etc. But I tried the sole fillet and loved it! Clean place with great service, I would definitely go back and try another specialty dish.

Reasonably priced and good service with friendly Hostess and waitress. I only gave it four stars because Ive only been there once as this was my first time for lunch. I had orange chicken which is not a traditional Thai Dish but I was happy to see it on the menu because I like it and it was delicious. The lunch specials come with salad and choice of white or brown rice I thought it was a good deal for $11.50 my two friends one had vegetarian Pad Thai and loved it and the other had chicken satay skewers. She said they were good and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the waitress. I will definitely be back.

Charming local Thai in shopping center. Ample parking. Every seat in house full. Reservations best as the small inside area First time ever visited. Was recommended by extended family. They had never tried some of our favorite dishes and they loved them!Perfectly balanced spices and seasoning, not too sweet or salty. The best Anger salad and eggplant basil. Excellent panang curry! Everything cooked perfectly.

I feel bad when I give two star but I have to share my experience. Staffs are nice but food didn’t taste great. Spice tray didn’t look fresh. I would not recommend this restaurant for Thai food, if you just want to try generic Asian food, you may visit.

I loved this place. I was working in Woodland for a couple of weeks and took my wifes advice to eat healthy while I was away. I looked for a Thai place and saw this one with good reviews and decided to give it a try, I wasnt disappointed. I ordered the Bangkok BBQ Pork it was grilled perfectly with a little bit of crispiness without being burnt. The subtle BBQ sauce was good also. Everything was fresh and the service was excellent. The homemade Ice Cream for desert topped the meal and I was a happy customer. I plan on returning before I return back to NorCal..

‘Thai style’ small portions, decent food, American prices $$, with authentically Thai/poor customer service. Web order was delivered incorrect 2 pad Thais and they refused to switch out 1 out for a different entree. Too many other Thai places nearby to deal with that type of disrespect for local customers. This place makes some really good Thai food. I ordered the crunchy veg rolls, eggplant lovers, California vegan curry and the vegetable fried rice. The veg fried rice was very flavorful and aromatic. My family and I have eaten here at least five times. Each time we have received high-quality delicious Thai cuisine.Our favorites include the Sampler Appetizer, Pad Thai, Spicy Basil Beef, Fried Rice and of course their Orange Chicken!I have eaten it all the Thai restaurants in Woodland Hills, West Hills, and Canoga Park and by far this is the best Thai food restaurant in the area.Online ordering is easy. Consistently Great food and friendly and helpful service. We love the Papaya salad and crab steamed dumplings to start. The thai BBq chicken is moist and flavorful. The filet with stringbeans features very tender beef and great sauce. Also loved the crab fried rice and Pha Thai is always delicious. And they have a 10 dollar corkage charge if you prefer to bring your own wine.

Normally I go to coco Thai but decided to try a new place. I went with good reviews when I chose Anantara on Ventura. Well it was a waste of money and time. First, I ordered on line for pick up (will never do it again) and had to provide my credit card. So I feel like they had me at already collected $100. When I went to pick up up the food. I was told “they are busy and it will take another 20 minutes”. I went to Trader Joe’s to pick up few things and returned 25 minutes later, only to find out I had to wait for another 20 because they were working on one more item. When I finally got the food, and put it on the plates, all the dishes were cold. My orange chicken was awful, cold, hard as a rock and heavily battered (I asked for lightly batter), other dishes had no flavor, no shrimp on pad Thai but shrimp on papaya salad (why writing notes and ordering protein when kitchen can’t read or follow direction), potstickers freezing, and other food was blend and cold. My family voted “awful disaster” so we are not going back. People seemed nice but they mismanaged our dinner and we are not going to make same mistake twice.

I love this place. I had my doubts just from the location and size but it is hands down the best Thai place in the valley. The food is always consistently delicious and the service is outstanding. My biggest compliment would have to go to how fresh the food always is. A lot of times Thai restaurants seem to be re-heating or serving food they’ve previously cooked but here the food is always made fresh and hot!

The owners would not allow my fiance and I to eat inside because I had my service dog with me. The employees were incredibly apologetic and tried to compromise with us by having us eat outside. It was very cold outside, and the last thing I want is for the employees to face the consequences of the owners ignorance and prejudice. I have filed a formal complaint with the ADA, and simply want to warn others with service dogs of the owners lack of accommodation.

The food and service are good. Pretty standard Thai fare with a reasonable lunch special. The specials come with a small salad with shredded carrots and beats with a nice Thai dressing. The lettuce and veggies were fresh and the dressing was just enough to mix in... Not drowning, just right! The dishes also come with brown or white rice. The rice was hot and just sticky enough. The chicken in our cashew chicken dish was all white meat, but it had way way too many onions! Almost half the bowl was onions! Next time have to order easy onions. Otherwise, good food and good value.

I just love this little Thai restaurant in my neighborhood. I order takeout, often, and have dined there, too, several times. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food is fantastic! I highly recommend the Garden Wraps. Ive taken them to parties and theyve been a huge hit! Also, the red curry and Papaya salad. Not something I would normally have ordered, but its so fresh and beautifully presented. When I was rehearsing for weeks for an upcoming shows, I always brought food from Anantra to the rehearsals because it was such a big hit with the band!

I had an unbelievable experience here, Cat was one of the most helpful and friendly people Ive ever interacted with in this area. She was extremely knowledgeable and informed about all the offerings and allowed me to take up all kinds of time while I was trying to make up my mind. She was totally professional and courteous the entire time and made my experience with this restaurant several times better. The service is always fast and friendly and the aroma/taste of the food is astounding. Both before and during COVID, the service was terrific and during the whole time, safety was carefully and rigorously followed to help keep everyone healthy. They have a very well put together online delivery service as well which helps streamline everything. I have never once been disappointed or dissatisfied with anything at this or their other locations. I am very happy to have them so closeby as well, right off Topanga & Ventura. They are located in a really convenient and comfortable section of this particular shopping area, their spot and the surroundings are vibrant and flourishing with all kinds of fun and cool things to experience. It is very easy to find, it has a beautiful front that can be seen next to the other well kept neighboring businesses. There is a large parking lot with many spots so parking shouldnt be a concern at all. There are so many options to choose from, a wide-ranging list of offerings. Every order Ive had with them has been completely accurate and exact, getting all the details correct. Although I really enjoy and savor the Thai food from all the places Ive been to, especially in The Valley, Anantras is at the top of the list and everyone should try it at least once. The most recent item I ordered was their chicken salad and it was one of the best that Ive had in a long time, it was perfectly prepared and seasoned. It was hot, fresh, and nothing was leaking or dripping which is a definite plus. I found their pricing to be very reasonable and sensible, you dont need to break the bank when coming here. I really loved their ambiance and atmosphere, it had a great feel to it when youre there. The layout also works out really well, with the tables and seating arranged just right to allow comfortable seating for everyone inside. Everything is also extremely clean and spotless inside as well. If youre in the area during lunch, make sure to check out their lunch specials too, theyre really good and you get a lot of value for your money. This is one of those places that you can dine in or take it out and still everything is on point. For those who are vegan, there are plenty of options here as well that would be feasible to order. Another thing I like is that the portions are very hearty and everything seems to still taste amazing if having them as leftovers later on. Another cool thing is that they have/had a dog-friendly patio, so you can bring them along for the experience. I cant think of anything to criticize about this restaurant or the service Cat provided, it was all such a good experience with such helpful people, am looking forward to visiting again and spreading the word to people I know.

I rarely give a negative review. Although this one takes the cake. 7pm on a Saturday night. Not a sole in the restaurant. Ordered pad see ew. Was told it would be 20 minutes. Looked around and no customers in sight. I counted 6 employees. After being told to sit at the entrance and waiting only 15 minutes. I drove2 minutes to my home. This was the worst food I have ever received from a restaurant. Horrible service. Horrible food. Live and learn. I will never return and will gladly tell friends what I think.

I love their pad see you I also love their pineapple fried rice! Definitely order either a Thai iced tea or Thai iced coffee cause it is worth it! Sometimes it gets really busy for lunch time, occasion alae they may get your order wrong but the food is so good in their very sweet in fixing it, even though you still have to pay whatever the menu item you were trying to order wasnt put in when you 1st asked for it. All in all if they were a little more attentive and fixing this small mistakes they do, I would give them 5 stars. Definite 5 stars on the food!

This is the second time I have visited this restaurant, for take out this time only because I liked the food when I have dined in earlier. But I was very dissapointed with the food this time. We have ordered a couple of items. Only the spicy fried rice tasted good but Rest of the food was tasting very dull. Looks like for take out they don’t focus on the quality. What was worst is I left them a terrible review on yelp and they wouldnt care to acknowledge let alone do anything about it. Decent Food, though not the best, and certainly not good enough to make up for the bad service and rude staff. In a not very busy restaurant, we were largely ignored. My boyfriend felt the lack of service had something to do with race because others seemed to receive better. He would know, I suppose. He is a man of color. I have also in the past felt they were rude to LGBT diners. In hindsight, I suppose that makes sense because the staff simply looked the other way as we existed. I usually say thank you and good bye, but I could not make eye contact. How unfortunate in this day and age.

Most of the dishes are about $10-12 each.Portion size per dish is a tad shy of the sized dishes you might find at other spots. BUT, perfect for 4 ladies to split. Horrible experience!!! Artived with starving kids at 7pm on Sunday evening. After an hour wait, our soup arrived. No food for the kids yet! After 10 more minutes one main course arrived. We asked what happened to the 2 other main dishes and were told itll take more time. After 1.5 hrs, 1 crying and hungry kid, we asked to cancel the 2 orders. Apparently they still havent made it since there is only 1 men on the walk ( ridiculous!!). No discount or compensation were offered. We left frustrated and hungry. Anantra has delicious food, with a great variety of selections. I have eaten at their nice, newer restaurant (both inside & out on the custom-built porch area Great service no matter where you sit). Plus, they are handicap-accessible & are happy move tables if necessary to accomodate for my walker or wheelchair. Plus, their delivery service is fast as possible, reliable, contains everything as ordered, & they use thick, paper containers that do not leak when possible, which are eco-friendly/recyclable. This is our go to carry-out spot (but we have dined in, too). Very good curry (red & yellows are our faves); a solid pad-ze-ew. We only order veggie and tofu versions in our family, so can only speak to meat free options, but we have been satisfied with every order. Hot, delicious and the level of spice always is as requested.Added bonus that you can order online and track process of your carry out (or delivery, if you are lucky enough to live nearby).Parking lot can be a zoo, but not dinging them for that—it’s just that typical SoCal strip mall thing!

Whenever I am craving Thai food, I go to Anantra. I am obsessed with their Tom Kha. Every time I get it, it is made perfectly with just the right spice. They are also very helpful when it comes to takeout. They look over the receipt with you to make sure everything in your order is correct and always have it ready within 20 minutes. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Came here for a quick bite after trying on bridesmaids dresses at Pebbles Bridal. Its a Thai restaurant geared toward the American crowd living in Woodland Hills. My friend and I had Tom Yom Soup and a Chicken Coconut base curry. Both were A-OK. The Tom Yom needed more of a kick and was laking the stong tangyness(like I menioned, geared for the Woodland Hills crowd). The curry had the same situation. It was very mild. Both of us were pretty hungry so we didnt want to send back anything to add more heat.I would reccomend for only a quick eat and those that cannot handle heat. Very mild, very Americanized. I would pass coming here again.
