A low-key, no nonsense shop serving up some of the best curry Ive had in my life. So good that I ate here twice before leaving LA. Do yourself a favor and pick up their Karaage & Curry with a 5 piece to go. You wont regret it.

Tasty fried chicken better known as karaage in Japanese. The crust is very flavorful with seasoning. I like the karaage burger best with the jalapeño ranch aioli. Fries are seasoned. What is really great is that there is ample parking in the lot next door, which is really key in the Sawtelle neighborhood.

Ive been meaning to try this chicken since late 2019 and I finally had an opportunity yesterday afternoon. The only reason I did is because the local Udon place was packed and I didnt feel like waiting or eating around too many people at the time.The chicken is great and has its own unique flavor compared to other karaage Ive had in my lifetime. I love the location and how its tucked away from all the other eateries in Sawtelle Japantown. The eating area is also nice and peaceful.I will definitely be back to try the burgers and dogs in the future. 🍛

First visit and I love this place. Perfectly cooked karaage. Crispy and juicy. You can just inhale them. I also had the cheese burger which I was a little skeptical of, but I really wanted a cheese burger. Was not disappointed one bit. Was not dry at all which was my biggest fear. Instead it was a juicy burger on a soft fresh bun with fresh lettuce and tomato, caramelized onions and a tasty sauce. My go to for now will probably be a burger and a 5 piece karrage. The teriyaki burger also sounded bomb, especially now knowing that I can trust the decision to get a burger! Ill probably give those hotdogs a try too at some point.Do note that its very limited seating out front of an almost hard to see hole in the wall with a small window you order from.

I ordered the grilled chicken salad. The grilled chicken is warm, well-seasoned without being salty, and chopped into bite-size pieces. Also comes with grape tomato and corn. The lettuce looks like green leaf, rather than the ubiquitous iceberg, which is a plus. The sesame dressing is very thick, and you get more than enough. It will spread well with the heat of the chicken. I just wish they had more seating here.Great value and flavor, especially for the price!

Karaage city! Great reputation well deserved. Tiny storefront perfect for takeout, but fried chicken is better fresh from the fryer. 🍋 I love to max out lemon and ponzu but that is my prefrenece. The creamy sauces are too much with fried foods IMHO. Curry is pretty good too, but the chicken... The chicken is why you drive all this way to the Westside! Service is prompt no fuss easy going.

The fried chicken is simple yet so juicy, crispy, and flavorful. Anzu has one specialty and it’s so good you won’t need or want anything else. I recommend the sriracha aioli as a dipping sauce. If you love karaage you do not want to pass this place by.
