I’ve been going here for over 10 years, the quality and service hasn’t skipped a beat. Always fresh and delicious. Rice is always cooked perfectly. Can’t go wrong with any choice you make here. Pictured is the Sacramento and volcanic. Always my first recommendation for sushi in Roseville.

Amazing sushi, best chicken karaage anywhere, nice ambience.I have been to this place a couple of times but this time the service was poor. The food is amazing so Im sad to say that our waitress was not only rude, she was impatient and not helpful. My brother was trying to get a box from her but she was actively ignoring him.Bad service is one thing, but she brought out our check while we were still eating. 45 minutes till close. I have worked in restaurants and even after close we do not bring checks until the guests are done and have requested the bill.I will be coming back, the food is too good to not but I expect better service next time around.

I didn’t want to do this as this was one of my favorite sushi places to eat at but I have to make sure this happens to no one else!I went here for my birthday enjoying my food here I am one roll in enjoying myself and my food, I go for the second roll and this what drops out !!! THIS IS CHICKEN BY THE WAY! I was shocked and disappointed ☹️ I’m not even sure if that was in my first roll!! I reported this to the waiter and they were able to give me my money back for the 2nd roll but this spoiled my appetite and I was afraid that I was going to get food poisoning! Just a heads up scan your food before eating it!

Amazing Sushi! Took the family up here to eat during our vacation! 3 of us had the teriyaki beef and myself and my son had sushi. The staff are amazing and the vibes are on point. Super friendly customer service and all the best sushi rolls you can think of!

Ive been here a few times before and I had decent experience with the restaurant so I decided to do an online order to pick up. I couldnt hear the front desk lady too well since it was busy and when I misheard her, she repeated her question with an attitude while slapping her hand and she still had an attitude throughout the whole interaction.Its a shame I wont come again since Im not gonna deal with some rude lady that has an attitude of a high schooler.The food was still good though so thats why this is a 2 star review.

Ordered and picked up BBQ Albacore from Roseville location, and it was all raw inside. Last time we dined in, it was cooked well but unfortunately it was all raw this time. I keep calling the store and they never answer the phone, however, will get hold of management soon.

Attentive service if not a little rushed. Great miso soup, and the beef teriyaki was tasty. The fish was presented well, but probably wasn’t as fresh as I was expecting for California. And the sushi rice was slightly bland. But for the price it was a decent meal.

This is a nice little restaurant. My daughter and I went for lunch and I had a Lucky 7 and a Lion King roll. My daughter got bento lunch box. Both delicious, my only complaint was we were seated and we did not have our order taken until 20 minutes later. Other customers came in after us and they were ordering way before us. I think they forgot about us?? Besides that the food was great and we would go back.

Update 02/11/23: don’t get the seafood udon noodle. Broth tasty nasty like salty fish water. No other flavor in it. Veggies excessively softNot my first time here. Service is on and off, sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s just horrible. Food is usually consistently good. Today was a good day with service and food. Don’t recommend going when they’re busy because that’s when service is likely to be unfavorable. Terrible food quality and terrible service for a sushi place.My wife, little toddler, and I came here on a Sunday around 3:50pm. They wouldn’t honor the lunch special which is only good until 4:00pm. First red flag.Service was non existent here. A waiter took our order and never came back to check on us. I’m not sure who our actual waiter/waitress was. I had to flag someone down to get our check and to go box.I ordered the sashimi and my wife ordered the steamed pot sticker and we got the chicken Terriyaki for our toddler.Steamed pot sticker was gross. Soggy lettuce was placed at the bottom which messed up the taste and flavor.Chicken Terriyaki was dry and slightly burnt. No flavor to it.My sashimi tasted okay but was expensive for what I got. 9 pieces for $20.00. I wouldn’t been better off going to a sushi buffet to get my sashimi fix. I ordered a green tea and it was warm closer to being cold.Listen to the yelp reviews, this place doesn’t deserve to be in business. We don’t plan on coming back here as there are a lot of other sushi places available around the area.

Both kids in the bathroom feeling terrible after their supposedly fully cooked Golden California roll. (Which by the way was 9.50 in September when we came in and today the 3rd of Nov it’s 20.50.)I can now understand why at 9pm on a Friday night it’s totally empty with only one other table taken. I couldn’t understand in beginning why they had zero customers. After kids were stuck in bathroom with terrible tummy aches, I now understand. I won’t even say anything about how unprofessional and disgusting and disrespectful they are when I tried speaking to them. They think laughing it off with their entire kitchen crew and speaking their ku-ku-Fu-k-uuu language makes them look legit. Never ever will I land foot there again.Their only respectful employee is the server guy who seems to be new and they be working his butt off while standing gossiping “how dare she say her child is stuck in bathroom because of our spoiled & raw products.” (Btw, when they’re empty they price your order differently. Walked in and was seated right away. Looking around the dining room was Id say half full. Clean from top to bottom I sat down. Looking over the extended menu, decided on the 3 item bento box. Chicken teriyaki, California roll, and Tempura mix. Everything was fresh. My chicken was moist with a slight char taste. Tempura fresh and crispy. Noticed my piece is shrimp was huge! California roll firm, slightly chilled, and had a velvety smooth texture. Service was good the staff stopped by three times. Recommend eat there instead of take out...your food will taste fresher.

My friend and I ordered 4 rolls, the firefly, tear drop, lucky 7, and viva Sacramento. Each roll was about 10 bucks and they were decently sized. We also had the spicy edamame for an appetizer which was about 7 bucks. All the rolls tasted great, and the spicy edamame was superb. The servers were courteous and the wait time for the food was minimal. I also went to the restroom and I appreciate the cleanliness. I had to give this place five stars after seeing that review where someone complained the servers werent chatting with them. The servers were nice, prompt, and did their job. I dont know why someone feels the server needs to stop doing there job to sit there and chat. The reason you dine is for fresh food, nice presentation, a good atmosphere, and servers that make sure the customers are taken care of. This restaurant did everything fine so its five stars from me.

Thursday, October 13 @ ~9pm. I was unsure whether to give this restaurant 2 or 3 stars. It was mainly because of the hospitality. The food was great except my mothers sushi wasnt wrapped properly. I got (from left to right), Aloha, Double Spicy, and the Maui. We were celebrating my brothers football game and my mother being in town and we felt rushed. I understand we came late but my brother had a high-school football game which ended at 8pm and we wanted sushi. Regardless of what time we got there, we should be treated with the same hospitality as the very first customers. We felt rushed to order, the server repeatedly put hot food in front of my 9 month old, and didnt tell us that the kitchen was closing. We wouldve ordered more food and drinks had we known when the kitchen was closing. The server didnt care. Asked us if we wanted boxes and the bill when we werent done. Was not happy with the service

This place is not as good as the Arden one. A lot of older people working here for a place that tries to be hip. The food still tasted like its half off 🤣 the cooked salmon roll I got was over cooked, which shouldnt happen at a place that primarily serves fish. It was good to see Arigatos open for inside, limited, but inside seating. We ordered to go so it was pretty quick in and out.. we went a little crazy today and ordered a little bit of everything. 🤤 we had asorted sashimi (tuna, yellow tail and salmon) Shrek, super Mario, lion king, California roll, lucky 7, aloha, double spicy, James bond, spicy crunch....and everything was yummy, kinda was disappointed that the names werent written on the boxes but we tried our best to guess which was which. Service was so rude, lady was being really short with us and gave us 3 menus for 6 people. She was acting like we were an inconvenience to her the whole time. The people are rude and unfriendly.We were not greeted, but treated as if our presence “spending $$” in this restaurant was a burden to our waitress.-Small and crowded ( ? Not sure why the crowds)- Small portions- overcooked tempura (how do you do that)?- edamame was reused!! “probably” multiple times by the looks of this picture.- terrible customer service.- Impatient Treatment - felt very uncomfortableOur waitress did not earn one single dime. I love coming here. I will say that the food here will not be the #1 sushi place you will go to, but they are really good. The number one thing that keeps me going here are their unique rolls that they have. My favorites here are the Super Mario, lucky 7, hungry, and Sakura rolls. My daughter had mentioned this restaurant to us several times - so last night we went there to celebrate her 25th Birthday. The place was crowded (which is a good sign).All of their rolls are 50% off. They range in price from $13 - $20 but remember- 50% off. The food was great along with the service. The wait staff is very good.The Bento Boxes are $19.50 but you get a log of food (3 main selections) with Rice, Miso Soup and Salad. Basically the same price of 2 rolls. Long story short our bill was $150 for 10 Rolls, 1 hand roll, 1 Bento Box and 2 iced teas and 1 Pepsi.We will be going back here again.

My daughter was asking for katsudon, so my husband and I decided to give this place another chance because it’s down the street, OMG... I laughed so hard when we returned home with our take out order, for $17 plus tax for katsudon I was kind of expecting a little more then tough fried pork that was not even pound it out and a scoop of white rice on the side, not to mention my husband and I ordered the same two sushi rolls and one of them was good size but the other one was lacking everything... you will be disappointed if you are a big sushi eater like myself.

Came here on a Saturday around 3. We(me and my boyfriend) were sat right away. There was only a handful of tables taken in the place. I got a yummy yummy roll. This roll is HUGE. But so good. Minus one star cuz the servers don’t talk to you. We had two different servers cuz the first one went on her break. Which she seemed more talkative than the second. If I wanted food without talking to someone I would’ve gotten takeout.

This place has a comfortable setting and can be a place to go with your friends. The waitress that served me gave me attitude even though I was courteous. I asked for lemons for my drink I didn’t get a reply. So I try asking a second time and she just turned around and said,” I heard you, okay.” I was surprised and I said ok. I ordered the Lunch Bento Box with Beef Teriyaki and Mixed Tempura. The Beef Teriyaki was as tough as shoe leather. I sent it back and it was replaced with rubbery Chicken Teriyaki. The Tempura portion was reduced from my last visit. And my Miso Soup was lukewarm. And the service is weak. Nobody was in the restaurant, but a few patrons. That says a lot about its food. The food here was very good about a year ago. Not anymore. I wont return.

The worst service I have ever received at a Sushi Restaurant. I will never go back! The food was good enough to bump up the stars but when you are paying sushi prices you could at least check on us for drinks/refills once before the meal is over. We had been eating for 40 minutes before any check-in had happened. Over half the place was empty but it was a struggle to get someone and when we let the lady at the front know we had been waiting she walked away and it took another 15 minutes to get anything at our table. I will not be returning but you should avoid this place if possible. If service is important find somewhere else that will take your money.

The house special is to serve a roll sliced in huge parts. Some rolls people have to eat using his hands directly. Absolutely incredible and there is no salmon temaki there. I ordered a roll one and it came with two slices of salmon and the size is considered small, not medium. I also tried gyoza and I realized that they change the traditional gyoza sauce to another sauce. Wrong decision. Caution: it is very spicy. If you dont like spicy, dont order it. My bill came before to finish my dinner.Last: If you are alone: DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. It is boring.

Downgrading to 1 star. Once good sushi restaurant became one of bad quality sushi restaurants. Came with another person, they all placed sushi ordered were placed on 1 plate instead of separate plates as any normal sushi restaurant does; bad sitting locations also, placed on disabled location, then when asked to get different table, placed next to garbage cans; then when I asked a question aboit certain sushi, instead of explaining she took off serving another table. We have been to this restaurant in the past and it was good. Tonight we went again. This time we ordered 3 rolls and then another quickly after. The last roll we ordered actually came quite quickly in about 20 mins. Then we waited for 85 minutes!!! We asked the waiter three times if he knew where our food was, he had no answer. We were at the restaurant for 2 hours and we left right after we ate. It’s ridiculous! On top of all that the rolls were not very good. One was bitter and another was dried out, the rice felt and tasted like it had been sitting for awhile. There were shrimp peels in several bites, the whole experience was very disappointing. The waiter never said he was sorry for the wait or any kind of gesture to make the situation better. There were three couples who actually were seated after us and got all of their food before us. Shameful!

The service here is great, the rolls were all visually appealing and equally as tasty.There is a large selection of rolls to choose from, and the gyoza is a fantastic side.My favorite rolls are any of them that have any spice marks next to them. Small space. While waiting for a seat, there is no simple front door presentation. It seemed to be a to- go restaurant. Any waiting that you must occur has to be outside. No reservations first come first serve. Food was okay and Im being charitable. We will not return unless they get it organized or moved to another location. Staff was rude all around when asking questions about the menu items that were not shown on the qr menu they said to scan. Definitely not worth the $100 my family of 4 spent here. Never once asked us if we wanted refills on drinks or if there was anything else we needed. Tried to flag a staff down multiple times for napkins and extra silverware and plates and we were ignored. Definitely not eating here again. Not to mention food was undercooked and when I asked if they could fix it they just made eye contact and walked away. Not to mention the container for hand sanitizer was completely empty so they are just giving the appearances that they are following orders and are not. Can I get a refund? I still have the receipt

I was very disappointed and shocked when I received my check and saw that I was charged $20.95 for the same meal. I came here 2 days in a row, and yesterday I would have given 5 stars, but today, the service was honestly a 1! The food was about a 3.5/4 today, but the service was terrible from our server in particular.First, if you have extra items that you add to a dish, like Bonito (fish flakes), the menu should say so; my niece ordered Agadashi Tofu which came very late (was supposed to be an appetizer) and was covered in Bonito flakes which she doesnt eat. We asked them to redo it and the manager tried to show me that the fish flakes were mentioned on the menu, instead of just removing and remaking the dish. She realized as she was trying to show me I was wrong, that they were not mentioned in the description, and that she was wrong. When the dish came back, the tofu was not crunchy and had a weird sticky film around it. It was really pretty gross and my niece didnt care for it. The garlic edamame came out late and was also lukewarm, is was also a bit blegh and not very tasty. We asked them to reheat it and it was better when it came back out hot, but either the server forgot to bring it when it was ready or it was not heated enough initially. There was also not enough garlic on it and we had asked for extra garlic when we ordered. The server forgot our miso soup and when we asked her if she forgot the soup she told us they were remaking it or it wasnt ready but surprisingly when we reminded her, it suddenly appeared. The other issue is that my daughters soup spoon had a sticker on the bottom. She had to peel it off but who knows how much of the paper or adhesive had come off into her soup, again, eeew!The sushi was fine, and the cucumber salad was delicious, but the service and attention to detail just brought down the whole experience. Our server was not friendly and was in fact rather rude in how she ignored us and disappeared for long periods of time, and either she was new of just had no idea how to wait tables or serve. Trash and dirty dishes piled up in front of us and not a single server took the plates away. They sat in front of us for most of the meal and I couldnt understand why. Isnt this like serving 101, and younremove dirty dishes from the table when they are obviously finished?!We had to ask for a number of things that our server should have been asking us if we needed. Extra plates, napkins, ginger, additional food, and on and on. It was one of the weirdest dining experiences I have ever had and the owners really need to instruct their servers to ask customers what they need as they go, as well as to work together as a team to remove dirty dishes and napkins from the tables, even if the tables arent theirs. That sort of thing brings the whole restaurant down.

Lion King roll is very nasty and very salty, I thought I was eating sauces. The soft shall crab portion is very small and not crunchy and not fresh. Chirashi is okey, but the scallops is totally lose the flavor and taste like chewing gum.When I was enjoying my chirashi, I saw a very huge cockroach, yes!!! flying by me almost landing on my food. What an AMAZING experience.The whole business has gone down so bad. I wouldn’t go back again and recommend to anyone.

Price is cheap for sushi... Its 50%off. Everything else is pricey... Service is really bad... You get what you paid for. Hardly anyone speaks in English. Its hard to communicate with the servers. Theres always an error on our orders and the server we got tonight was really rude and unwilling to assist.

Arigatos is affordable and delicious. The rolls are creative and flavorful, the service is fast and friendly. I have only ordered a mix drink from here once, a mojito, and it was not good, tasted like it came from a mix, super artificial flavor. I guess a sushi restaurant may not be the most promising place for a proper mojito, but the Saki is great!

Yesterday had the worst experience at this place. Came in with a group of people, some of them were visiting from a different country, and the service was the rudest I have ever seen. The staff looked tired and angry, did not even try to please us. First we had to wait over 45 min to get in, and thats understanding because it was Sunday night, except that we were told the wait is 30 min. Next, the guy in glasses, who seemed to be some sort of manager was very angry all the time and did not made any effort to seat us together, was saying no to every suggestion we made. When we finally sat down, noone was offered drinks, they just assumed that everyone shall have water. Half of the orders were mixed up and again waiters looked really tired and annoyed by us, costomers. 10 min before closing time they took away our plates, finished or not, we had to ask for to go boxes, as we felt really unwanted there, next they started gathering our glasses, I asked for a refill of water, they brought me a half full glass and threw in on the table, that some of it spilled out of the glass. Then the cleaning dude just stood at the head of table looking at us and holding a rag, ready to clean after us. And finaly, exactly at 11:30(their closing time) the man in glasses told uswere closed, you have to leave now, goodbye. This used to be one of our go to places, especially on nights out with friends, well not anymore!!! We are not coming back here!

Service was HORRIBLE. We actually got up and left and went to Blue Nami instead. We were seated and didn’t get spoken too or asked what we wanted to drink for over 15 minutes. Yet 2 women were sat, given drinks, and had ordered food by the time we got asked “you ready to order” and that’s when I said “we haven’t even been asked what drinks we would like” and she proceeds to say “that’s what I’m doing right now, clearly we’re busy.” This women had attitude the entire time. We started ordering our drinks and edamame and she proceeded to write VERY dramatically on her pad of paper. No apology or anything from her. Won’t be returning here.

I am usually a person that never gives negative reviews, but I have never liked coming here. I have gone here many times and I never come here by myself or if its always my choice, I will never choose this sushi place.I always find it that the staff is very rude, and they always get my order wrong or someone elses that I know. Dont get me wrong, the food is great, I just find the atmosphere is not very friendly, and they seem to be in their own world. Very disappointed. Got my sushi and one of them looked like a burrito, if I wanted a burrito I would have gone to Chipotle. The roll was incorrect it was suppose to be the Spicy Crunch- didn’t have any crunch, and the deep fried jalapeño wasn’t fried and they added cream cheese which doesn’t even come with cream cheese. The other roll I got was the incredible, there was no jalapeño when I got the roll so she gave me some in a container, and there wasn’t anything in the roll but rice, I wanted the tuna and the avocado but no shrimp or crab. So the roll was just rice and tuna and avo on top. It’s not that difficult to make a roll. I won’t be going back in a while. Should have gone to mikunis....always get my orders right.

This restaurant is pretty much the same as the other 2 Arigato Sushis in Sacramento: wonderful sushi rolls for a bargain price.It has a permanent 50% of rolls price (just like the permanent sales at Macys or your local furniture store). Service usually takes 10-20 minutes when its not full. But its usually packed around dinner. Fortunately, its one of the few restaurants that conveniently closes between 11pm-12am, so you can always rely on it for a late meal.Despite the price, they dont skimp on the rolls. These are medium-high quality rolls (unlike the cheap-quality ones in nearby sushi buffets).My favorites are the:Maui: A delicious mango, avocado, unagi, tuna, roll topped with more mango sauce. Also has shrimp and crab meat.Manhattan: Another excellent mango, avocado, unagi roll. Also has shrimp and crab meat. I think the difference between this one and that Maui is that the Manhattan uses salmon instead of tuna.Sweet Mango Roll: Yet another delicious mango, avocado, unagi roll, but topped with some lightly-spicy sauce. (Yeah, I love mango rolls)Lucky seven. A sweet and creamy roll. Its delicious and not spicy (unlike the description)Lion King: A mouth-watering, baked salmon roll. I remember the first time my wife and I slipped into Arigato Sushi a couple of years ago. The place had a very edgy feel. It was hip. The music was current; a kind of industrial new age sound. The lighting was great, and I always loved how sports was on the projectors with no sound. It was like you could watch it if you had to, but why? There were so many other interesting things to look at. Like the people: There was many a weekend night that we waited forty-five minutes to get a seat. Arigato was popular.I’m pretty sure we contributed to that crowd. I think we told everyone we knew about Arigato Sushi. We met friends there for dinner many times. All told, I’m guessing that we ate dinner there at least 5o or 60 times over a couple of years. And we probably called in for take out at least a dozen more. We were regulars. We even had a waitress that knew us by name, and we always asked to sit in Gina’s section.Oh, the food! The one thing that I always told our friends, which had not been to Arigato before was that, although they could get “half priced” sushi rolls just about everywhere, Arigato did not scrimp on quality. While other places were cutting back on the portions of fish and even avocado, Arigato always had generous portions and the plating was top notch.I guess it’s true that all good things must end. Over the last few times that we had been there, we noticed that the projectors were fading out, the music had changed and most importantly the quality of the sushi was definitely falling off. It looked like the crowd was too. But we kept coming because Arigato was like an old friend, a place we had made so many memories in. We went there for birthdays, anniversaries or any other reason to celebrate. Most nights we left there with a tab approaching $100, and sometimes more.Friday, December 6, 2013 was the last time. My wife and I made it in there to have a quick dinner before heading out to the Kings game. As we sat there, we realized that “our” Arigato was no more. Gone were the dimmed lights and games on the projectors. Gone was the edgy music. It had been replaced with old-fashioned Christmas music. Horrible! There were even those gross tacky icicle lights hanging over the bar. The place had been transformed into Wal-Mart! When we asked for our waitress, Gina, they said she didn’t work there anymore. Pity, she was a hard worker! Our sushi rolls were what they had been the last few times; small slices of fish, very light on the avocado (we love avocado), and no fancy plating with sauce decorating the plate. Overall it was below average.So, this is goodbye. We hope to find a really cool sushi place in the near future that we can begin going to. When we do, we’ll be inviting our friends to join us. In the meantime, we’ll be spreading the word that Arigato just isn’t the cool place it once was. I turned into average. It’s too bad. But I hope that someone will read this: Someone with the business sense and the power to make change. Because it is always sad to drive by a place that is closed and say; “Oh, I remember that place…too bad it’s gone”.
