2023-01-19 21:11:54Came across an LA Times article recently that there was Burmese food being sold at this market. Not sure why its difficult to find Burmese food in LA - its pretty ubiquitous up North. Anyway, decided to check it out on a recent trip to SGV. This review is primarily on my experience with their Burmese food selection & pricing. Generally, the store seemed well kept, clean, mid size with assortment of various Asian goods/grocery, decent parking lot & there was only one cashier (though it was not a busy time). It looked like there was a counter called Asia Food Express advertising Burmese food in addition to sushi, teriyaki & poke bowl. It was not operational when I visited & the cashier couldnt give me any info (probably a language barrier - my Chinese is non existent & she may have been speaking Burmese). She did point me to a cooler/table area where some pre-packaged Burmese food was sold. I found two types of Burmese noodle (Shan noodle salad with a little bit of chicken & rice noodle salad with lots of fried garlic) which seemed prepared fresh to be sold for the day. There was yellow tofu with sauce which is a popular Burmese dish. There was also an assortment of dessert & side dishes (dried shrimp with chili, pickled tea leaves, dried anchovy, etc). There was also bags of fried fritters sold at the cashier. I self helped myself & picked up two of the noodle dishes ($ 9.99 each), dried shrimp with chili ($ 5.99 & $ 9.99), a bag of fritters ($ 10 - I keep it in freezer for future use) and two bags of dessert (similar to cendol, $ 3 each). Enjoyed them when I got home. The food was fresh, tasty & authentic. It was a fun discovery but thought the pricing was on the high side.

2022-05-09 16:47:43Good selection of stuff but not as much variety as the larger stores in the area like H Mart, but the prices are better here! Nice place to grab essentials if this is your local area. It was kind of surprising to see Biryani as a to go meal

2023-07-16 05:52:34You can have Burmese groceries such as tea leaves, dried fish, dried shrimp, Burmese preserved foods, sour leaves, fried fish paste, assorted Burmese curry cans. Overall, it is a great place to shop. You can also have fresh sushi. You can have biriyani on weekend. They have sushi special discount on Friday evening.

2023-06-14 20:38:10One of my all-time favorite neighborhood stores. With the same crew for decades, I am not surprised they all live under the same roof, like an orchestra, the whole team is humming along seamlessly. From picking up a newspaper, childhood snacks, produce, poultry, anything, even using their restroom. Especially the register ladies, are always accommodating as an auntie next door. I am not surprised this place may keep going for many years to come, as long as the loyal followers are alive.

2019-07-22 05:01:39A very small grocery store. I barely can find anything I need here. The reason why I came was to find knives. Fruits are cheaper here.

2022-08-28 17:31:24Lots and lots of products too choose from at a very reasonable price. I wish I lived near this store because of the verities of products, fresh vegetables to so many others imported items from many parts of the world specifically Thailand. Its a pretty big, clean store with storefront parking. If you like to cook Thai food, this is a must। visit store for you.

2023-02-09 17:08:34Don’t shop here! The Chinese lady named Shumin L is a cashier here and she swiped my card on her own. She used a skimming device and stole over $500 of my money from my card. It’s crazy don’t come here because they hire thief employees who steal customer money and buy stuff online
