This is our second home. Im not even kidding. We come here almost every day. The owners Sher and Mark are the kindest people and treat us like family. They take special requests to another level. My man Robert has crazy requests and Sher named it the RM Bowl. We love it here. The back patio is a little oasis within Santa Monica and it seems not many know about it yet. Yet ! And not to forget Jimmy the Parrot hangs out next door in the patio from the Pet Store

Delicious VEGAN food, as well as great coffee. The staff were also super friendly and thats always a plus. We got the pizza and meatball panini, pictured with this review. Even non vegans can find something they like here.

Had the Go To India wrap. As noted, a bit pricey, but the food was fresh, fast, and delicious. Im vegan, so it is nice to be able to choose from ANYTHING on the menu rather than having to search out the 1 or 2 items that are vegan pretending to be something else. It would be nice if they were open for dinner, but understand that they are in a business park that is focused on the lunch crowd.

Great food and friendly service!One of the few all-vegan cafes in the area, and it does not disappoint.They have a good number of selections on the menu.I especially enjoy their paninis, salads, and shakes. (Their Avo club panini is pretty amazing!)They have outdoor seating in the back.We will definitely be returning here!

First time ordering from Avo at the Carlsbad location, so glad I did! Thank you for the Birthday discount thru Toast. I ordered the Tuna Salad; tuna made from jackfruit. I eat a vegan diet (since 1992) it is so challenging, even these days, to find a fully vegan restaurant. I am definitely going back with friends and family! Customer service, though very brief, was great! So kind! Thank you !

AVO café which stands for All Vegan Organic (the quality food the café serves) is situated within The Island food court in Carlsbad. If you are looking for a vast display of healthy, vegan options, look no further because this place has everything you’ll need to satisfy your palate. From bowls to salads to smoothies to coffee’s and the heartiest option of all, paninis, there is so much to chose from and try, that it will leave you craving for more. The island is closed on weekends, but AVO is a great place to stop if you are heading home from work and you want to grab a bite that will leave you satisfied and feeling good!

Stopped in for some yummy nutritious food! Had the wraps and they were densely packed veggie goodness. I had no problem with getting delicious nut-free vegan food here. Healthy worth stopping in!Food court patio seating with overhead covers make it pleasant on sunny/cloudy days.Bathroom available walking distance/ easy to access. Parking was abundant during a lunch weekday. Location is in industrial area.

Just found this little gem! I got a bunch of goodies and I can’t wait to try the food! So far the avocado toast was AMAZING the bread was so fresh. The salads and bowls are phenomenal. I have been craving nothing but fresh food with healthy ingredients, this hit the spot. I also love how they have treats and snacks that are sugar free but sweetened in other ways. I am pretty sure I was lucky enough to either talk to the owner or manager, I wish I got her name…she is super attentive and extremely kind. I have had a rough few years with terrible customer service and it’s so refreshing to FINALLY receive good food with a big smile. I’ll be stopping by bi weekly (at least) and telling all the locals about this hidden gem! Thanks again for the healthy food option. It’s so hard to find good ceagan food or gluten free options ❤️❤️❤️❤️she even let me try one of their fresh baked items…it was so delicious 🤤

My husband and I were in Carlsbad last week and stopped by the AVO Cafe for lunch. We are not vegans but we decided to try this cafe as it was highly recommended. Without exception the food and the service were exceptional. I ordered a Greek salad and my husband avocado toast We also had the soup and pastries for dessert. The food was home made and very fresh. The BLA panini is long but thin and skimpy. Its also pretty tasty (which is why i gave a 3 star instead of 2) I also ordered cauliflower tater tots which was interesting. I dont think its worth 7 bucks though. They only give like 7-10 little pieces and it looked like they werent even cooked all the way. They were really mushy like dough. I had to cook them again at home. Not sure if i want to come here again and spend 20 dollars. Edit: costco has the exact same cauliflower tots for 7 dollars and its a 3lb bag.

I ordered their AVO elixir with almond milk and it was delicious. Not too sweet and temperature was perfect...I asked them to make it extra warm. Their paninis are popular but I havent had one because I eat gluten free. I will have to go back and order 1 of their bowls. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is spacious outdoor seating in the back.

Tried the AVO elixir, blueberry oat muffin disk, and the chicken pesto panini. 100% delicious, family-friendly. There’s also a super beautiful patio in the back! Perfect for a date or to bring your friends/family.

When I travel to a new city, sometimes I find one restaurant that I wish I could take home with me.And this is one of them.Ive only gone twice during my trip to Santa Monica, unfortunately, but I love this place.The backyard is such a relaxing place to eat, I kept forgetting I was in the middle of the city.The owners and staff are super friendly, and the food is creative and delicious.I will definitely, definitely come back when I can. I miss it already.

I like that it seems to be a nice small business and I wanted it to be a new favorite but sadly it was skimpy on actual food volume, especially the breakfast burrito. If you want a small tasty bite, good, but if you’re hungry, there are many other more affordable choices.

Loved this place. Has a really nice outdoor seating area in the back. And the food is lovingly and perfectly prepared. Super nice owner too! I loved it and Im not a vegetarian. My 10-year-old kid even liked it, so thats saying a lot.

We can’t decide what’s better—the lovely staff or the delicious food! Sher+Mark welcomed us with warmth and expressed real care about our opinions on the food. We will come back to Avo every time we’re in Santa Monica.Mock Chicken Pesto, BLT, and breakfast burrito—would get them all again. My favorite is the BLT and my girlfriend’s is the Chicken Pesto. And try their smoothies!! You will be delighted!

Really amazing tasting, fresh, quick, & healthy food. The service is great, the vibe is awesome, and the food is delicious. Im addicted to the chaga latte topped with cacao, cinnamon, & the perfect amount of froth. The paninis are so good, the baguette is nice and fresh. Lots of gluten free options too...especially desserts! They even have quick bites to grab if youre in a hurry. Love this place.

They go above and beyond for their customers, and the food is absolutely delicious! It was raining outside and when it stopped, they wiped down the benches and laid towels out for us to sit on. So sweet! We had the BLA panini (yum, the sauce is awesome), and the caesar salad with tofu chicken. I bet a meat-eater wouldnt be able to tell the salad was vegan. Loved this place! If we lived in LA wed come often.

The staff is courteous and the cafe is clean. I ordered a chai latte with soy milk. It was okay, but I prefer the chai lattes that come from other vendors. The price is a bit higher than other places in the area. I will probably try something else on the menu another time. I wish the owners of the cafe well in this venture.

Avo Cafe has just opened up around the corner from my apartment and Im very happy about it! Just a couple of blocks from the beach and a 10 minute walk from Downtown Santa Monica, its a great place to grab a late breakfast or lunch.Ive been by a couple of times now; its not been too busy and theres lots of seating on the patio outside in the back (which is dog friendly). The first time I went I got the the Mediterranean Panini and a Jam Dot which was delicious. The second time we split an Avo Pizza and a delicious slice of chocolate cake. I also grabbed a bagel with plant cheese to have from breakfast the next morning. They have a great selection of grab and go stuff, so if youre on your way down to the beach and are looking for a great plant based lunch, this would be a great place to stop off. I havent tried everything yet but I intend to stop by regularly and try the whole menu.Its great to have a new vegan cafe in town! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Everything is very fresh and healthy and delicious. They use high quality ingredients. Establishment is clean, peaceful and staff is friendly. And theres a macaw in the neighbors backyard that adds interesting noises to your lunch.

I went to a #fakemovent event here a few weeks ago to support my friend who was a designer there. I tried the hot chocolate but since I am not vegan, it wasn’t the best for me but I do love what the Cafe stands for! Very clean environment and very spacious in the back!

This is the best food in LA if you are looking for vegan organic options that are made Gluten free most dishes on the menu can be made gluten free my favorite things to eat there are the Bowls I like the Meatball bowl and the Gone to India the best great flavor not bland the owners Mark and Cher know what they are doing and the food is consistently Excellent.
