I’ve been here several times over the past few years and can say the quality of this place has gone down hill. The first couple times I’d come here, I would have told you it was my favorite local Korean bbq, but now I’d say you can get better elsewhere. Their prices continue to go up and the quality of the food has decreased exponentially. It’s a bummer

Ok place for Korean bbq. After sampling several of their meats, I was not blown away. The basil chicken for example after cooked tasted relatively bland. The grills at this location also seem to burn half of the meat ordered. The drunken noodles were also good although not as spicy as one might think. Would probably recommend coming with a large appetite or with big meat eaters. Also note that certain meats ie shrimp are restrained to a certain number of orders per customer. In terms of ambience, it’s really loud and a bit hard to make conversation

Our visit here was fantastic. We were greeted once entered. Once assigned a place to sit. Our server continously checked up on us. Occasionally asking if everything was okay, or if wed like more to drink. Made our whole visit a lot better.Now the food is quite flavorful. We enjoyed everything on the menu except the spicy noodles, they needed a bit more flavor to them, maybe even a bit of salt. Their shrimp dumplings were delicious! Try them out!The special drinks are what you expect at a restaurant. Beers (IPA) $7, a mojito $17.There is also a section for pinball, quite the choices in there to play and wait the alcohol out. $.50 a game. A nice little touch.Overall our experience was great, it is on the pricey side and there is a 18% additional charge for parties of 6+.We will occasionally be returning.

The server was great.We had to wait 45-60 minutes to sit down.The food was great.I would go there again without the kids.They charge for kids $10 less if they are over 40 inches. Which means $29 per kid.Kids don’t really eat much.

Definitely coming back here as much as possible!!! The food is FANTASTIC and so is the service. Apple Pork and the Kalbi (short rib) are by far the most superior items on the menu. Definitely try that, because its probably the only thing you should order. A close second would be the black pepper beef, which was recommended to me by our sever--it was so good, but apple pork and Kalbi are to die for!! The glass noodles, chicken fried rice, and spicy ramen are also something you should get, but one order of each for 2 people is more than enough--you gotta save room for the meat! :) I also really like all of the little sides that come before the food, like the fish patties that are made of soy, but taste soo good, and the little sides of bean sprouts. Also, dont forget to order some kimchi to fry up--it goes so good with your meal. You should definitely come here, it is worth every penny (But before 3pm is almost $10 cheaper per person, so maybe come for lunch!) :)

Banchan selection is odd. Meats are ok, but again, odd selections. Service is inconsistent, servers are always nice when you catch them. Very loud, messes with the possible enjoyment of the food. Smelled of cleaning products.Not worth the price for me, I can only recommend you get the garlic beef because that was delicious.

I could not have been any happier with my time at this restaurant. Ive been to many bbq places on both the east and west coast and this place is by far one of the best. Service was impeccable and quick. As soon as we finished a plate of meat, it was taken off our table. Side dishes were delicious and abundant.You can order up to 4 meats at a time and they come out quick. They are also very well portioned. Multiple staff were quick to notice if we needed to change grill tops. We got a couple rounds of the kalbi, brisket, pork belly, and bulgogi. To top it off, a small frozen yogurt at the end of your meal which was so delicious and refreshing. Definitely need to come back here again.

We decided to get dinner here because we were intrigued by the combination of KBBQ and pinball machines. It was a good experience, but theres definitely better quality KBBQ out there.The positives of our experience:- Our server was very attentive and we never had to wait long for a grill change.- The bulgogi and kalbi were marinated well and we liked the japchae a lot!- There was a good selection of menu items to choose from for all you can eat option.The negatives of our experience:- The meat quality was alright. It tasted fine, but it felt like the marinade masked the quality of the meat. The brisket we ordered was bland after it was cooked, when usually brisket has a subtle flavor to it.- The spicy pork belly was also very bland after being cooked. Despite it being marinated, the flavors of the marinade did not absorb into it.- The tofu soup that was on the all you can eat menu lacked tofu - the main ingredient of the soup...- Overall, there were just inconsistencies in the meat and marinade quality.This was definitely an interesting experience, but I would try other options with better meat quality.

Food was great. Service was a bit off. We got someone elses food. Sent it back so it could get to right people. Took FOREVER for server to come to table (15-20 minutes after we were seated). Once the server changed everything was perfect. Exhaust fans not powerful enough, kept getting smoke in our faces. Very loud inside. Need some soft surfaces to dampen sound a bit.

The food quality is really good but their service is trash we always come here and last time we came we order 4 orders of fried rice and the server only brought 3, when I asked her for the other one she said the portion was big and we could share it, I went today and they would let us go in they said they were closed, when we asked for a manager he said they were closing early “because it was slow” I don’t think that’s professional. If you go late you’ll 100% get bad service it’s like they’re rushing their costumers and the servers are really rude.

Food is mid at best. The best option is the bulgogi/kalbi. Service was good and waiter checked on us multiple times.I ordered a pitcher of Sapporo with 5 of my buddies and when we got it, the pitcher was extremely flat and had definitely been sitting out for hours. I asked the server for another bottled beer and it was also flat. Not their fault but I would avoid ordering beer here.The server also poured the beer from our cups back into the pitcher, which makes me think they couldve served it to another guest 🤮.There’s also a mandatory 18% service charge that acts as the “tip” when you have a party of 5 or more. The service charge is split between the restaurant and the entire staff.

Great Korean BBQ! Definitely our favorite Korean BBQ place since moving to the valley a few years ago. Havent tried them all yet but were working on it. This is the part where it would be good if I could mention a couple items off the menu that are particularly good but honestly I have no idea what Im eating. Wife and kids order a bunch of things, I put them in my face, and Im happy. Oh and they have deep fried Oreos and pinball machines! Go there, put the yummy food in your face, be happy. Went here on a Sunday around noon and did not have to wait long for a table. The tables are far apart from each other and sanitized after each party leaves. Our server was very efficient, kind, and helpful. The food was great and surprisingly it was not too hot underneath the tent that theyve set up in the parking lot.

We loved this place normaly, we go to the one on van nuys. However our party was bigger 8+ so we knew the wait at Van Nuys would be longer. We winged it and drove out to this location. Best local Korean BBQ restaurant! Tables have plexiglass separation, and no smoke (I was worried about that, since youre BBQ-ing inside.) Absolutely try their beef kalbi soup (awesome!). Favorites are kalbi beef, bulgogi beef, lemon chicken. Get the Japjae noodles, too. This takes some getting used to, coordinating the tongs in one hand and the sheers in the other, but youll get the knack. A must try place in West Hills in the ever-expanding Fallbrook Mall!

This place is new and very disappointing. The portion of the food is very limited. Everything here is very small portions. Check out the meat I ordered and the meat my brother and his girlfriend got. Big difference. No seasoning, no salt, no taste on the miso soup. Rasberry drink was deluted no flavor. You do not eat as you think you will. All you can eat menu is not what you expect.

Loved the many banchan options. Meat came quickly. Service was attentive. Food was DELICIOUS. From the fish cake banchan to the beef belly to the fried rice to the shrimp thats already peeled to the frozen yogurt they give you for dessert. It was AMAZING. If we had one of these in Ventura- it would kill Gen BBQ. Ill drive 37 miles for this place any day.

For the price this place should be better. The decor is sparse, the meats were not bad, just not great, the service was good, not great, the side dishes we meagher. I have had a lot of korean bbq, love it as I am a carnivore. GEN is better, cheaper and service is just as good. If you want to stay local and have to drive to GEN, and are willing to pay a little more for a little less, then try this place. The good thing is fried rice and other bowls are included in the all you can eat price (this is a plus) but you go to korean bbq for the meat, the bullgogi (which is not bad here) and the side dishes (which are sparse here). Try it once and make your own judgement of whether it is worth it or not.

Stopped by to dine outside on a beautiful October evening. The wait was short and the service was very good with three servers stopping by frequently to see if we were ready for another portion of tasty meat to grill up.The only downside to their re-envisioned social distancing friendly setup is/was the fact that the pinball machines, which are also set up outside under a tent like the dining is, are only in operation from Wednesday to Sunday... and of course we were there on a Tuesday.

It is a fairly decent Korean BBQ restaurant. The food is great and the atmosphere is fine despite the loudness of the restaurant. The staff is friendly and usually very attentive, but do struggle when the restaurant is very busy, which is over the weekend in the evenings. Their always out of something and they change the Ingredients to their cheese corn, Kimchi, salad. HONESTLY THEIR ARE BETTER KBBQ RESTAURANTS NEAR HERE. I didnt realize pinball and kbbq was such a great combo. Good job, executed brilliantly. I liked how you could go and play pinball while waiting for your table. This made the experience much more enjoyable.The table is worth the wait, as the quality and choices of meat are 10/10 and the price is remarkably good considering the area. Sides are tasty and plentiful, and you can always order more. The waiters are a bit abrupt and quick to take your order and hurry along, but dont worry, they will be back soon.Highly recommended as a solid casual kbbq with the added pinball machine gimmick. Good stuff!

Our servers name was Eliza and she took amazing care of my family and me. Im not the type to usually write reviews but I felt that she needed to be acknowledged for how attentive she is to her customers. Although all the servers there are good at their jobs, I just had to point out that I think Eliza was my favorite and you should try to request her if you can. The food is very deliciously marinated and you will enjoy cooking on their grills. Make sure to ask for a side of kimchi, rice paper, cheese corn, raw garlic, and onions to throw on the grill!

This was my first time eating at an AYCE GOGI location. We arrived around 5PM on a Saturday and we were sat quickly (for context we were a party of 5). I was impressed but also granted we basically arrived right before the dinner rush. We were attended to at first very quickly, but as our time there progressed, it felt harder to get ahold of our server to order more food. I also wish there was a broader selection of meat options, like lamb for example, but I’m biased. Overall a decent experience and servers/staff were extremely friendly.

Im teetering between 2 & 3 stars.Everything was just OK.Table wait times were about 90 minutes on a Saturday during dinner time as expected.Food drink and side refill/ rounds were about 15 minutes.Food taste and quality was ok nothing great but nothing to complain about.The couple things are on the bothersome side are the size of the tables. Theyre small. Like really small. They really didnt consider that the plates sides drinks and meats take up space. I sat alone on 1 side while my 2 friends sat side by side and we had no space. We didnt even grab many sides or meats at once, so considering that I cant imagine how cramped it would be if we actually got all the sides we wanted to try at once.Ohh and the chairs. They are absolutely godawful. Cold hard metal chairs with an odd design for the backrest. Its designed in a way where u cant actually lean back because the metal tubes push into your lower back. Insanely uncomfortable.Considering the mediocre food and horrible seats and tables Id rather go somewhere else. Especially if it is closer.

We do understand that theres a wait time for us to be able to get a table for a party of 7. However when it was our time to order our meat oe food it took forever. We waited approximately 30mins again for the meat to be served. Ive never experienced that from a Kbbq Restaurant.They just gave us some sides which is great but how can you enjoy the Kbbq if you eat a lot of sides already because you were starving and waiting., it was our first time to be there. And the experience is not great. Our server keeps on forgetting our orders. I wont come back here and my friends didnt even like the experience either.

I had similar and even better experience at a lower quality place such as castle.Our server was amazing and attentive but the host that took our name and was suppose to sit us down made us wait for over 45 min and when we asked what happened she lied saying she called our names which she didnt because we sat literally a few feet from away facing her. She the said she will get back to me in 5 min and 10 min later she was just chatting with coworkers and chilling and when I approached she responded with how can I help you?Neither to say what took others 20 min of wait time it took us over an hour.Im not saying all this so no one goes but if you go make sure to constantly bug the host in case its the same person as she clearly was more focused on other matters and go during lunch time to save on $$$

Didn’t quite live up to the hype. Service could have been better. I have been to other Korean BBQ and they would bring out the dipping sauce and rice without you even asking. Here I have to ask for everything.There was five of us but they would only allow us to order 4 dishes at a time and the portion is small. There are more of us shouldn’t we be able to order more food? I wouldn’t mind much if we weren’t on a timer of 90 minutes. And they won’t let us place new order until all of the meat is on the grill. There was 2 span of time about 20 minutes where we wait for food to come. At the end some of us walk out not feeling full. I feel that service should have been better given we were charged a mandatory 18% for gratuity.

Indoor dining is open again, and the seats are all separated by a big plastic divider. It was quite busy, but I never had trouble flagging down a server for refills. The food selection is great, and food comes out fast. Great spot. Love that it is only a quarter to play pinball. Lots of them to choose from. Service was on point during the pandemic and even today was spot on. Seats are metal chairs that are a bit unconfertable but Im sure thats on purpose to keep you being there a long time. It is all you can eat. Has decent choices of protein options. Good selection of beer on tap. Few things were blan like, The corn and cheese, garlic chicken .Spicy pork belly was barely a 2 on the spice level. Bulgogi beef was awesome and kimchee Korean sausage was great as well. The kimchee itself was amazing. Best I have had in a long time. Easy to get too lots of parking. All and all 4 out of 5 been here at least 6 times and they have been consistently good.

From the service, to the food it was all bland.It all started when I had to get up and get the utensils for our party of 7. Not only that we only had one burner to cook everything.We didn’t get plates, tongs or anything. When all the food arrived, if I didn’t get up to at least get some chopsticks for the table we would of been staring at the food as if we were reading J. R. R. Tolkien Lord of the Rings Trilogy.The japchea was just covered in oil and bland and instantly raised my cholesterol to unsafe levels once I ate it.I will give them a kudos on the kimchi fried rice though that was actually good and so was the spicy beef soup. But still a right doesn’t make up for a wrong.To be quite frank I do not know how this place has 4.4stars, it really does baffle me. I’ve eaten at a plethora Korean restaurant, this place just left me upset and disappointed just like 2020.When I ordered the spicy pork, I was extremely excited but I was flabbergasted at how dry, dull and flavorless it was. It truly broke my heart, it hurt more than my divorce to be honest.Save your $$ and go somewhere else.
