Th hotel is decent, but except the amazing person John, the staff are not really helpful or welcoming.Few things they can do from ownership spirit point of view to make the customer experience better.Please also leave water bottles in the room, its not costy but makes different.. imagine if the customer wake up at middle of the night thuresty, and he need to go downstairs to by water bottle!
Overall my stay was wonderful but when I got into my room on Friday evening about 10:30pm it was like an icebox because the air conditioning was on full blast.The other issue I had was when I purchased an ice cream Saturday night. It was horrible. I couldnt eat it because there was ice on the cone & there was no flavor. Not sure if it was your freezer or it had been in there way too long.
Overall was a good stay. Two things worth mentioning:1.We had asked for a quiet room upon arriving at the reception desk. We were given a room on the 4th floor that faced the parking lot and the intersection of Brookhurst and a cross road. In the early morning we would awake to the road noises (motorcycles, cars) 2. Breakfast was disorganized and there were paper plates in use. There were guest taking 3or 4 stacked plates and drinks back to their rooms while there were staff present and even opened the door for them. It just made for an unpleasant experience. We only went to breakfast once in our 6 days stay at this property.

The rooms were clean, the bed and pillows comfy.We went to a family gathering in Huntington Beach and got back very late and only found out then that the toilet wasnt working properly. When we checked out the next morning I notified the desk clerk. She was very concerned and professional. She said they would have changed our room immediately had they known. Good to know! Believe me, if we hadnt gotten in so late we would have changed rooms!
Very clean hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast is always good too. They provide several different options of food, drinks etc and change the hot food choices daily. Room is spacious and clean. Good water pressure and convenient location and free parking is a great!
Positive: The hotel is in a good, but not great location. There is, however, immediate access to the 405 freeway. The room was larger than expected, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is free parking and complimentary hot breakfast. Negative: There was nothing particularly wrong with the hotel. My wife and I have stayed here before and will likely stay again.
This hotel is so well run. The staff are courteous the manager is attentive. The hotel was built recently, and was well designed, solid bathroom door (i hate when hotels have a glass slider for the bathroom door). Privacy for the sleeper while partner showers. The windows are quadruple pane! Super quiet. When you ask management to take a look at something at this hotel they do in the next time you show up the issue is fixed. I love this place.
Breakfast was very good. Did wait until after 9 for room to empty a bit. But staff worked hard to keep up.Too many outside sources go for the reservation. Unless you are familiar with the site this is very confusing.

The reason of my 2 is because the mattress and pillows. Were so so bad. The mattress when you sat on the bed you literally went went so down. It was a very uncomfortable bed. Then when I put my head on the pillow,it felt like a had no pillow. Im sorry but I thought the gal at check out would ask me how was your stay .but she did not ask me. I did love your breakfast. I hope you look into this. Thank you.
Hotel just newly build, look luxury, and very pretty, but AC & Heat system is very poor. AC system of Motel not Hotel. So loud and noisy, I was so surprised and so disappointed and that is the major negative.

Staff is amazingly courteous - I question the unavailability of Maintenance after 5pm. Do things only breakdown between the hours of 8a-5p? We had to move rooms because of a broken AC unit. a Real inconvenience.
I called the hotel directly to make my reservation instead of going through a third party website. This allowed me to ask questions, place a special request, and receive a AAA discount. All Ayres employees who assisted me by phone and in person were friendly, professional, and efficient. The hotel common areas and our room were clean and seemed fresh and new. My husband and I could not have been more pleased with the Fountain Valley Ayres Hotel and their employees. I fully recommend this location.
The hotel stay was just what we needed. It is centrally located to many of the places that we wanted to go to. The front desk employees were friendly and promptly checked us in. I was disappointed there wasnt porridge for breakfast in the morning because I was looking forward to that. The hotel was clean, ac worked well, and beds were decently comfortable.

Very nice accommodation in Fountain Valley just right off 405. The Fountain Valley Police Station is next door to the hotel so it feels super safe. City Hall is just a few hundred feet away with adjacent library. Could have been 5 star if parking is more adequate. And the door slamming non stop at night (the hotel laundry was across the hall and the electrical room was next door)...

One of the most incredible hotels Ive ever been in the people were very nice weeding actually didnt stay there we just stopped to use the restrooms unfortunately theres no restrooms at any of the gas stations in that town they were nice enough to not only let me and my wife in to use the restrooms they gave us a key and just such lovely people I cant wait to come up here again and stay at that hotel Im sure its just nothing but first-rate God bless you all and have a great day
Location is great and rooms were cleaned and well stocked the buffet was great as well as the free parking. One of the washing machines was broken when I was there with no signs indicating this the GM was great and offered to refund me 12$ because I had to swipe my card 3 times. Points off because I was only refunded 8 out of the 12$ other than that would come back

Stayed there for a three day business visit. A most delightful experience. Simple but elegant. Clean, Amazing staff. The Manager remember my name (not an easy task) and greeted me every time by name. They made my room DAILY! What a refreshing change from other hotels where the covid excuse is still being used and abused.
Great location = right off the freeway, but quiet and well-appointed! Very friendly staff - great happy hour and breakfast options! Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Would be a great stay for business, a stay-cation or if you want to be short drive to the theme parks or the beach.
This was the perfect location for visiting our family in Huntington Beach. Breakfast is always good at all of there locations. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. My only complaint is that the king bed was too soft. Woke up with a back ache and so did my wife.
Fantastic stay. Everything was clean and rooms were well-appointed. Always had room to park, too. Everything was just great! I didnt get to visit the pool area, but it looked like a nice, relaxing area.

A/C was loud and in window. Thermostat on wall didnt work. Had to use one on unit itself. Parking was tight and limited. I drive a Toyota Tundra and had to park quite a distance due to limited spaces. Doors slamming on first floor till after 10pm and the wooden floors made the noise louder with the echoing. Person above us was up before 6am walking around and we heard everything. In fact I am sitting here now in my room and the level of noise is too much. Only one single USB plug in the entire room and was on the alarm clock One and done at this particular Ayers. Others are nicer. Too much $$ for the quality and location. Disappointing because we like Ayers.
Went for disneyland and had a better time at my hotel the staff is nice and it is so clean oh and the food is great.
This was my first time staying at an Ayres hotel and I was impressed. The hotel is very well kept…the hotel is nice and clean, staff was friendly, the restaurant had delicious food and their complementary breakfast was tasty! Only thing I would change would be the complementary coffee….I’m not a picky coffee drinker but the coffee was hard to drink. But other than that I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend to others.
This hotel is always very clean! All of the staff from front desk to the breakfast staff is so friendly and the free breakfast and parking make for a great value. We always stay here when visiting family and have always had a good experience.

Clean and modern. We had an issue with our AC unit on night 1 of 3 making a strange sound all night, but the staff had maintenance come fix it almost as soon as I mentioned the issue. The restaurant and bar were great, and its’ employees were all super fun helpful. Pool and hot tub are outside with extra towels so you don’t need to remember to bring one. If we are in the area again I will seek this hotel out!

We stayed in a suite with 2 bedrooms, a living room, and full kitchen. Everything we needed was there, it was quiet, the breakfast was nutritious and had plenty of options,It was super-clean. We stayed for 2 weeks and it felt like home. I highly recommend it!
This hotel is run so well. It looks and feels high end without the high end price. The rooms were very clean, quite spacious (we had a 1-king room). The shower was double wide which felt luxurious. The free breakfast was good both days, lots of options for both hot and cold breakfast. The staff were always kind, like you were fast friends anytime you ran into them. I generally dislike hotel stays - nothing is as good as your own bed - but I’d stay here again without hesitation.
We stayed at Ayres Fountain Valley for a medical procedure. We found the positive reviews for this to be spot on. Complimentary parking adds to the value of this hotel. The hotel lobby looks to be recently remodeled. The hallway carpet was clean and new looking. The room was quiet, comfortable, and clean. The hotel staff was very excellent. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
We stayed here a few times. The hotel looks nice and clean. Love the friendly breakfast staff. They offer hot breakfast and free parking, which is a plus even though we don’t eat breakfast every day. On our most recent stay, we had issues with the bathtub stopper not working and had asked them to fix it. We return late to find it wasn’t fix and dirty tub from their shoes. It was such a disappointment since my girls was wanting a bath and I had cleaned the tub for nothing. We will probably stay here again. Hopefully without any issues next time.
We booked a block of rooms for a wedding in Huntington Beach and truly had a wonderful experience with this hotel. The staff was professional and extremely gracious and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the restaurant and, best of all, the outside seating / firepit space which became our end-of-the-evening meeting spot for all of the wedding guests staying at the hotel.The restaurant, which (I think) is run by a separate entity, was very good (reasonable prices!), and the Manager could not have been more accommodating. The only area where there is room for improvement would be the complimentary breakfast, which was pretty basic but still fresh and pretty good.I would recommend this hotel to anyone!!
Positive: Clean, new, good location Negative: Not up to ayres standards. Service is somewhat poor. For example the breakfast does not have enough seating yet they explicitly prohibit you from bringing food up to your room. Why?
The hotel looks exactly like the photos which is rare, and it exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff were polite and accommodating to my ask for hypoallergenic pillows and informative about how long I may need to wait which was not long at all. They offered assistance on where the local pharmacy was and helped me understand the directions easily. The hotel restaurant staff deserve a high five and a raise, they were amazing! I cant wait to return!

John and his staff are always working diligently to make my stay a great experience whether I am here for business or on vacation. This trip was no exception. The property is clean, safe and very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is very good and the staff are accommodating. My family really enjoyed our visit. The location is ideal to Little Saigon and all its wonderful restaurants. Its also very convenient to the Costa Mesa Mall and major freeways. This is a four star level hotel in many ways. Highly recommend!!
The whole experience was really nice for staying at a hotel from making the reservations to showing up the staff is really professional and kind everyone was really nice the grounds are always kept really clean and the morning breakfast is a nice way to start the day did I mention I feel safe when I stay here also since I do come down to see doctors I need plenty of rest and relaxation literally no stress thats why I really like this place

I would only suggest keeping closer watch on having pool towels available outside, or provide one per guest in the room. We had an excellent stay and will stay again. Highly recommend.

Very well thought out, well run hotel. Check-in is quick and easy, as is check-out. Breakfast is included and there is a casual restaurant/bar (Spoons) available in the evening. The restaurant team is exceptional. They are friendly and attentive (much more than you might expect at a hotel).Guest rooms are spacious and comfortable. You will appreciate the shower/bath located in a separate room from the vanity, reducing mirror fog after shower. Rooms come with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The A/C works well, but is quite noisy. The thermostat makes two loud clicks before the A/C turns on, then the A/C kicks on and is loud. If you are a light sleeper, keep this in mind. This is why I took one star off an otherwise 5 star rating.The Ayres Hotel Fountain Valley is a really nice hotel with a great location, exceptional team, and comfortable rooms. Definitely worth a stay.
We greatly enjoyed our stay! The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We really appreciated all of the amenities like free parking, free breakfast and the spacious mini fridge and microwave in our room. The location was perfect for us to visit nearby family and the staff was very friendly. The only thing lacking for us was the quality of the supplied shampoo and soap, but we were able to procure our own so it all worked out. Thanks for a great stay!
This hotel was extremely cozy the lobby was wonderful.. I love the fireplace and the fountain in addition .everything was extremely clean the hallways seemed fresh and new. When i arrived the receptionist was extremely professional and helpful. Checking in was a quick breeze . The beds were very comfortable also. The breakfast was tasty and fresh..way beyond the average continental breakfast. The overall stay was awesome. I will definitely be coming back soon .

I am going to begin my review with a con, the only con, because it might be important to you. Both my wife and I need stability in the shower and we were aghast that there was not one bar to hold on to. However, when I went to the front desk and requested a handicap room my request was immediately fulfilled. Now, for the reason that I gave this hotel five stars is because it fulfilled every need that we had and the staff was so friendly. They offer a free breakfast from the Spoons Restaurant that is in the hotel and that breakfast was delicious every day. We also dined at this restaurant two times and found the food to be excellent and the prices to be extremely reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly to anyone. There is no doubt that the next time we visit our children here in Fountain Valley this is the hotel of choice.

This property is very nice, the staff is extremely courteous and attentive and the rooms are well appointed. From the raised panel doors, to the crown molding, recessed lighting, furniture and fixtures, it appears much thought was given to the finest details until, that is, you consider the low sitting toilet. It seemed glaringly out of place surrounded by the other fixtures. My only suggestion for improvement: replace the low toilets with chair height toilets with soft close lids.
It was an AMAZING experience, the bartender and cook at spoon was amazing. The front desk staff as well as housekeeping and the breakfast staff was amazing. It was only a 15 min drive to the beach and cost me about 7 bucks in an Lyft. There’s not enough I could say about this place. I was there for 5 days and each day was amazing. You definitely get a lot for your money. Me and the hubby will definitely be back.
Only stayed one night. Love the lobby, free breakfast but dont expect over the top. Its free and thats wonderful. Nice people and overall nice rooms. My first Ayres but not my last. I do recommend

Everything was super clean. The breakfast was average but satisfactory. The pool area could use more chairs. Overall it was a very good experience for 2 nights. There was no housekeeping Between the 2 nights. It would certainly be helpful if someone could come in and empty the trash everyday at least.

We truly enjoyed our stay! We were in town for a wedding and the brides family had reserved a block of rooms. The room was very clean, had all the necessary amenities, but my favorite part was the service. Their team did an exceptional job! From the staff at the front desk that was incredibly helpful to the lovely person that cleaned our room. She was a ray of sunshine! Because we could only stay one evening (the day before) but had family coming for the wedding, their staff arranged it so that they could check into our particular room. This allowed us to stay late and get ready for the 4pm wedding and family to come early to get ready as well. We couldnt be happier with our stay! Fusion Bites was equally as delightful...the food and the service was superb!

I had no complaints about the service or food or your employees. The only problem I had was spendingtoo much time trying to figure out the electricity. I understand now why it works this way and how itworks which is an energy saver for the hotel. I just needed a better understanding of how to get itto turn on. Now I know for next time. Other than that, I have no complaints about the hotel. I hada marvelous time.
We were pleasantly surprised with our first stay at this hotel. All staff members we met were courteous and so helpful. Very clean hotel. The first person we met at front desk at check in remembered our reason for visiting and inquired daily about our family. Very impressed. The free morning breakfasts were made to order and well done. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool and the patio area. Could use some music outside.The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable! The microwave and fridge in the room are very nice amenities.Location was perfect for us and walkable to the park and to a few establishments.We would definitely stay again.
We stayed here for just 1 night for a wedding 12.11.21 for 175/night. Very nice check-in area. Its not the Four Seasons but its very beautiful for its value. The room is big and cozy and has a decent area for the coffee table and sleeper couch. It has a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. It appears to be recently updated so the room looks bright and smells good. Definitely going back next time.
They say it was a king size room but room was small. No conditioner or shampoo. A/c wasn’t working so it was hot in the room. Window didn’t open all the way and the tv wouldn’t turn off when I used the remote so I have to turn it off with a button behind the tv. Horrible experience. Never again.

Great hotel, clean (thats my main thing when it comes to hotels) found a hair, disgusting, but overlooked it. Nice location, a little pricey, but its nice. Staff really nice.2 weeks later, stayed again. Beautiful room, amazing service. Since my dad is hospitalized, they were able to give me a better rate for next stay, almost half of what I was going to pay. Theyre really nice and helpful with everything. Thats why Im changing it to 5 🌟. Ayres, please take care of your employees, theyre really great, all of them.
The children love this hotel! They had a little yet exemplary pool that the children appreciate a lot of our visit here. They had some good times and it was protected with them since they were lifeguards working the entire day. Their rooms were extremely large and had the most agreeable beddings than some other lodgings in the city.
Extremely impressed! Ayers became our home away from home during our stay. The hotel is designed so that everything is easily accessible, so its a quick trip from the car to the room, or the room to the pool. Our room was spacious and kept up to date with its furniture and appliances. The beds were very comfortable and the double windows helped with keeping the room nice and quiet. There is a quaint courtyard area along with a pool and jacuzzi that I enjoyed spending time at. I also started my day with a hot cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast plate that was provided by the hotel. The absolute best part of my stay was the staff! Everyone was friendly and professional. It is rare to find a place where the staff is kind, polite, helpful, and professional. My days were honestly happier because of the kindness and helpfulness that the staff members had shown to me. The hotel was always clean too. There was always a fresh clean smell and someone going around checking to make sure things were cleaned and restocked. Thank you Ayers staff! They were able to arrange early check in even though they were full. Room was clean and did not have any funny or dirty odors which is much appreciated, cleanliness above average. Unfortunately the TV and the WiFi did not work the first night and I could not get the front desk on the phone either as the front desk button put you through to messages or something else. Also the coffee in the breakfast area was absolutely terrible. We did not receive any credit or discount for the lacking services.

The Ayres Hotel, Fountain Valley is an oasis of comfort, safety and stellar service. I had a small crisis (my car broke down) and they bent over backwards to help me including offering me an early check in and extended check out time, storing my luggage after check out so I could secure a form of transportation.In addition, the room was extremely comfortable beautifully decorated. I am a very light sleeper and very picky it is very important for me to have this. The bed was amazingly comfortable including pillows.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be pampered and treated like a special person!

The Hotel is very clean, no wierd smells, quiet and comfortable. Spoons Grill and Bar located on the main floor has great food, and a relaxing environment. Love everything about this place. The best hotel in this area for the price point. Impressively clean and rooms are comfortable. Staff are outstanding. Spoons restaurant is a shell of what it once was however this specific Spoons has everything one needs to suffice someone whos been on the road or in transit. Parking is plentiful. Pool is clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!
The room cleanliness is not as clean as my previous trips. The hallway and elevators were smelling marijuanas very badly every time we used/passing by (starting on our second day until the night before checking out). We also were in the same elevator with guests with that smell.
The staff was awesome the entire stay. The chicken wings in the bar were super good. Nice, safe location. Within walking distance to 2 gas stations. Only downsides...back door didnt work late at night one night, phones dont ring to front desk. That being said, I still give it a 5!
Listen...you dont stay in fountain Valley because you love the ocean views. This hotel had a kind staff. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms were clean. The pool is quite small but also Clean. Thr outdoor patio is spacious. Breakfast isnt amazing but its free.I was there on an extremely busy weekend and every single staff member went above and beyond for me!
Stayed here for 2 night when my son was getting married. Room was very clean. Huge bathtub/shower, which was so nice to have room for shampoo bottles, soap, razor, etc.... Nice sink and bar area. I loved having a couch and table. The bed was a little hard, but we can never have the bed we have at home when we travel. All of the employees we talked too were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast in the morning had the usual things, but the eggs were really good, so were the potatoes. Nice selection of teas too. We ate at the Spoons restaurant the night before (same place where the breakfast is) it isnt real large but the food and service were great! I asked if they had Sangria and the server said no but that she could make me one. It was delicious! I believe her name was Paula. Housekeeping was great. The 4 girls for the wedding got ready in a room there and it got pretty messy as you can imagine. The staff had it all cleaned before the bride and groom arrived back that night. It was a great stay there and I will definitely stay at an Ayres Hotel again.
5 stars! Excellent rooms, quality furnishings and great value! I stay here several times a year. Front desk staff always available, courteous & kind. Kudos to Sandra @ front desk who was so helpful with my late check in. Staying here again in the summer.

The Hotel ( Ayres, Fountain Valley ) setting is beautiful and amazing INSIDE AND OUT.It was very enjoyable to stay coupe nights from October 2 and 3.All staffs were friendly, professional and greeted us with a big smile.Thank you all. Love your hotel. Always clean and staff is always friendly. John, the manager is a great asset to this location. Rooms are big and very quite. Breakfast is fresh with lots of choices. Spoons bar and grill is a great place for a nightcap or dinner. The house made chips and salsa was very good. I will be back!
Ayres hotel at Fountain Valley, CA is the best hotel. Front desk Staffs were nice. Check-in was fast. Breakfast were excellent. Free Parking. Hotel is very nice and clean. Stayed at this hotel twice this year.
First time at Ayres property. This is a beautifully kept hotel. The room was immaculate. The bed is comfortable the furnishings were in great shape. ( I always have the yuk factor about hotel furnishings). The staff is friendly and accommodating. Ive been traveling last few months this by far is the best hotel Ive stayed at. Highly recommend.
The Expedia reviews for this establishment are spot-on. The place smells refreshingly clean, the staff is professional and the biggest perk of all is that they figured out a way to still deliver the complimentary hot breakfast. The price does not reflect how good of a value this hotel is. Give it a try. You wont be disappointed!

I was extremely impressed with this hotel. Its very nice, modern, and most importantly, CLEAN! The rooms, bathroom were extremely spacious, and made for a very comfortable stay here. I was sad to leave. The beds were also very clean and comfortable. We had a bad experience at a different hotel on our trip, so staying here was like a breath of fresh air! The rooms were great. Loved the extra large oval tub, it made the shower big. I liked the fridge and wet bar in the room. Beds were comfortable.
When booking I looked at all these 5-star reviews and comments about John the manager I had to wonder if they were legit. After my stay there, Ive decided they are. Clean and quiet. Staff very friendly. Ayres has a good one in John.Breakfast was good. Location was nice, only ten minutes to get to Huntington Beach. Would definitely stay here again.
We arrived early and asked for the earliest check-in because our toddler had fallen ill on the flight. Melody was able to get us a the first room available just before 12pm which was very accommodating. I really like the sized of the shower tub.Overall the hotel was modern and had all the amenities one would except the star rating. The rooms were clean but one thing that did stand out was the noise from the roads could be heard in the rooms.
The experience was excellent. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Area is quiet but easy access to venues and events. I thoroughly enjoy staying here.
Great location. Very clean. Plenty of complimentary parking. Friendly and professional staff. I dont recommend Spoons, but in morning complimentary breakfast is great. With excellence service and very, very clean. Which is priority to me. My only issue with this hotel is that the bed could have been better. It just wasnt comfortable for me. Overall however, I would/will definitely stay here again. Maybe request a room with a newer bed.
The facility and my room were very clean. The facility is a notch above comparable hotels in the area.The mattress was very comfortable, and the linens were of good quality. I was greeted with a smile and usually a pleasant comment from the front desk personnel each morning and whenever I returned to the hotel. The room service personnel were courteous.The complementary breakfast selections should be improved. My breakfast would consist of one piece of fruit, dry toast and coffee. The other choices were not appropriate for a health-conscious diet. In my case, whole grains and a variety of fresh fruit, and nuts would have been appropriate. This is essentially a plant based, whole grain, non-dairy diet. The coffee was very good, and I enjoyed setting outside in the peaceful patio area.When I return to visit my immediate family in Fountain Valley, I will plan to stay at the Ayres Hotel.
My stay at the Ayres Hotel in Fountain Valley was truly a delight. The location is centrally located to many destinations, including SNA. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. My room was very clean, super quiet and well stocked with all of my needs. The hot and cold breakfast assortment/abundance will certainly please any guest.
This was by far the best room and hotel of our entire trip. Large beautiful rooms. The layout was well thought out. Having the bathroom area somewhat apart from the beds afforded some privacy. Comfortable beds, temperature control, shower or tub. Excellent breakfast. Breakfast ended a little earlier than other hotels but it wasnt a big deal. The hotel staff was also the friendliest by far. The two gentleman at the desk seemed to genuinely care about our every need. The only problem is that the Ayres Hotels are only in California. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

Another excellent stay at Ayres. Staff was friendly and remembered my family from our last stay. The rooms are so clean and beds comfortable. Its not often I get a good night sleep away from home but at Ayres that is not the case. Very nice amenities, fitness center, pool and hot tub. Spoons restaurant was not only convenient but tasted great, and very good service. And the free breakfast is probably the best Ive experienced anywhere. We will be staying there again in the future, for sure.

Easy access to the highway and in premise parkingGreat breakfast that changed throughout the week. Extremely clean and up to date, our room had a good sized bath in it. This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. This is the first time I have stayed in an Ayres Hotel. The staff was very accomodating in giving me the room I wanted on the top floor. The rooms were very clean and very functional. I highly recommend you stay at the Ayres Hotel
The hotel itself was really nice. But what really stood out was the staff. They were so friendly and smiling. Always saying hi as they passed you. But John stood out from everyone. What a shining star and perfect example of exactly what customer service should be. I called and asked if it was possible for an early check in. John answered and said to come right over. When we walked in he remembered talking with me, made check in easy, answered all our questions, made suggestions on where to eat, and was just so nice and pleasant. And when we got back from eating he asked how our was and if everything was OK. The next morning we just missed the breakfast cutoff but John walked us in and made sure we got taken care of. He also seemed to have a great rapport with the other staff. Oh and the bed and pillows were so comfortable too.
I have been here many times. I just think the staff is very kind and supportive. I appreciate all the work that goes into making my stay an enjoyable one. From the woman that checked me in, to the man that checks our conference room to make sure there is enough ice, everyone is warm and welcoming. Great hotel!
This was our 1st time booking this Hotel. We booked because our son had a soccer tournament and the hotel was excellent service. The front desk was very clean and very friendly. The beds were super comfortable we wish we could stay a couple more days. The rooms are very clean and most importantly the towels were soft, very white and very clean. The breakfast was delicious very good quality and the service over all was wonderful. I defiantly would return to this Hotel and would recommend to my friends and family.
Our Airbnb was double booked and we needed 5 rooms for a week on short notice. Ayers staff was amazing in accommodating our group. The hotel was great and the rooms were very nice. Breakfast was good all week, and we enjoyed our time at Spoons. There was a nice covered area by the pool that was great for working outside. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place first.
Everything was great except a delay in getting into our room upon arrival. It was not ready until 4:30. The hotel was very clean and new. The fireplace in the lobby way cozy. The breakfast was very good. The bartender was very friendly. Everyone was very nice. Would stay again.

This hotel provides very comfortable and functional accommodations. The rooms are big and clean. They have all the basics you need when you are traveling. Breakfast has a lot of options and is good quality. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My bed was in the a bit soft but it didnt interfere with my sleep.
We had never stayed at your hotel, but based on the Trip Adviser reviews, we cancelled our reservation at the Courtyard and booked with Ayres. All I can say is this was a brilliant move on our part! We found the staff, the room, the facilities, and the restaurant to be far above our expectations. Each and every staff member we spoke to was friendly and efficient.The room was large, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had everything necessary. We would definitely stay again and will recommend to all our friends.

This hotel is in an excellent location close to the 405 easy access to Disney, LA, Universal and San Diego. The rooms are clean and large with excellent facilities and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices. The pool area has lots of seating and is very clean. My only negative would be Spoons the in house restaurant needs attention to both its staff and it’s menu
Found this lovely hotel by chance, so glad I did. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The staff and service are excellent and so friendly. The free parking and free breakfast were a wonderful bonus. Easy access to restaurants, beaches and shopping. Had a relaxing time winding down our day on the outdoor patio by fire. Completely enjoying our stay!
This hotel was one of the best Ive stayed in for traveling for work. The hotel is beautiful. The lobby had a fire place and water fall and looked brand new. Every one one so friendly. And the room was the best room I ever stayed in! So much space and room. The bath room area was so nice. Enough space for two people to have their stuff out and share the space. There was a fridge and microwave and cofee. A couch and coffee table. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were amazing. I have a big thing about hotel pillows. Some are hard like a rock. I never sleep when I travel. But I slept like a baby and was ready for my work presenation the next morning. We got a complimentary breakfast and sat outisde near the pool. Such a cute outdoor area by the fire pit and the pool was very nice too. I would come back here always and definetly reccommend staying here.
This privately own hotel is really good. Usually I stay in big chain hotels, but this time I have decided to try something different. The stay was very comfortable in terms of bed, sleep... staff was very helpfulThe only thing that needs improvement is the restaurant. Breakfast with disposable silverware no-no for me. Also having cooking being done basically in the restaurant room without a proper a fume extractions doesn’t help.
We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed the place. Convenient location, ample free parking and well kept grounds. Rooms were very spacious. We were not a fan of the breakfast but it was complimentary so no real complaints! Ive noticed that many other hotels have started adding a variety of healthy options to their breakfast, maybe something to consider?
I found this hotel very clean with the amenities I look for when traveling - including a microwave oven and mini refrigerator. There were plenty of outlets for charging devices, the bedside lamps had easy to use switches on the bottom and the overall room lighting was very good. The shower was spacious and easy to get in and out since it wasnt a bath/shower combination.
Wonderful efficient staff. Rooms very nice and cleanly appointed. Pool warm and outdoor hot tub very nice useable til 10pm. Daily breakfast really nice and great for whole family. Best hotel for family and business in the local area. The last minute items for purchase at front desk very reasonable priced.
Everyone was hospitable, the food in the restaurant was good and the room was clean. Very convenient to beaches, shopping and restaurants. The manager checked me in 3 hours early with no questions asked and offered me directions and ideas for different places. He also gave my daughter a box of chocolates upon our departure, which made her day!The only frustration were lack of staffing in restaurant and not being able to work the tvs at most tables and one in the fitness room.I would recommend this hotel and would stay again!
My room was King Studio suite. Its spacious and clean. Bed is good. Good location. Though, its not easy to see the white box to put the key card in to turn on power. There must be some sign to make the box easy to see. Breakfast is good too. The staff is friendly. I had pleasant experience with this hotel. Ill be back again.
We were very pleased with our 3 day stay. Every employee was very friendly and courteous. The only problem was with my room key. I dont know what was happening but it kept demagnetizing (3 times). The staff was very helpful and pleasant. will definitely be back.
Nice hotel to stay at when in the area for a baseball tournament. Having breakfast every morning was convenient. Not the best choices of food yet served its purpose. There was always a smell of burnt plastic in the walkways. The pool was well maintained and was fun for the kids. I would stay here again if in the area.
The Aryes Hotel name is a reliable name in the travel/vacation industry. The Fountain Valley property is no exception. Conveniently located by the 405 Freeway and major surface streets, this site offers quick access to many nearby Orange County attractions. As a bonus the hotel features a full service Spoons restaurant and bar. The hotel spacious lobby is elegantly but invitingly decorated with ample sitting areas. A well-secured pool and hot tub are surrounded by a secondary sitting area with a fountain and gas fire pit. A tasty made-to-order breakfast and free-parking made our overnight stay a good start to our Catalina Island Ferry leaving out of nearby Newport Beach. Did I mention the spotless rooms and modern walk in shower? Enjoy!
Nice, clean, quiet. Bed was a bit too soft for my back. The shower is very, very tall. No way to adjust shower head. Likely great, if youre taller than 6ft.
Excellent service. Very kind employees. Clean. Accommodating. Food was good. 1 star taken away due to the amount of exterior noise within the room. Most obvious in the morning time. Also, no dark currents to make room dark. We stayed 5 nights. That should have been considered when they provided us the room. Otherwise, excellent stay. Pool is very nice along with the nice jacuzzi.
The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is the paper plates and plastic utensils at breakfast. reusable items would be more earth-friendly.
Great place to stay, the Manager and his team was amazing. My Wife and I was spoken to every time we were coming or going. The cleanliness of the room, lobby, cafeteria etc. was great, kept up to par for their guests. Happy with this choice. Will def. stay there again when ever in the area. We were very happy with the peace and quiet this hotel offers. The hotel was sold out and it is located next to a freeway but the noise level was almost imperceptible. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable with a good choice of foods for the buffet breakfast. We had the opportunity to interact with the manager and we could see his hands on approach to keep this hotel functioning at its best. Our best hotel stay in California!

Its decor is recent (the hotel is only 2 years old), the rooms are exceptionally clean and fresh smelling (no smoking and no pets) and provide all the amenities expected for upscale lodging.The staff is very friendly. A complementary breakfast is provided that offers a lot of variety. Would definitely recommend this place for discerning travelers.
Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee in the lobby is nice, flavored creamer would make it nicer 😉. The only thing I would ask is that you change out the all-in-one shampoo/conditioner. That stuff works for no one. I think I lost half my hair trying to work out the tangles. Dont cut corners on your toiletries, you are a nice HOTEL not a cheap motel.
We find ourselves here a few time a year and always enjoy our stay. It’s not the fanciest if hotels but it is consistently very clean and comfortable; much more so than some of the bigger brand hotels. The lobby is warm and inviting with ample places to relax. Parking is free and a quality breakfast buffet is included. The location is also great - right off the 405 and just a few blocks away from other lunch and dinner options. The staff is very nice and has always proven to be very accommodating. They have a small “store” with the essentials and a few snack options as well.
Hotel is clean however a little overpriced. Bathtub stopper was not working in my room, and I was not able to take a bath. Ate happy hour at spoons and service took a long time and there was only one other person there. Was convenient however for the price paid I would expect everything in working order. Plus point... hotel was very clean, minus the chair in my room was very dirty looking, needs to be cleaned or replaced.
On vacation we stayed at the Ayres and it was an amazing experience. My family and I really enjoyed it. It was a very nice, clean facility and the staff was really pleasant. Also the gentleman at their restaurant spoons are really nice amazing people.
A beautifully appointed hotel from the lobby to our particular room. The housekeeping staff was among the friendliest I have ever encountered. The front counter folks were responsive and knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet was tasty and varied enough to justify eating there most mornings. Overall a very pleasant extended stay for the 3 of us.

Had a regular room with a king bed. Room was very spacious, included a pull out sofa as well. Bathroom was very clean and everything worked perfect. The location of the hotel was a little past the exit off the 405 freeway, however this wasnt a big issue with noise or traffic.
I was having surgery the next morning early. To save the 2 hr drive, we figured we could find a hotel close to the Fountain Valley Regional Hospital 1.2 miles away from Hotel.There were a few choices. We are absolutely glad we chose Ayers Fountain Valley. The check in crew were great in explaining all and very courteousThe next day we were granted late checkout, and it gets better. While getting surgery. They let my Girlfriend stay in TV room for a couple of hrs after late check out. Such Fabulous generosity.Across the street is Silky Sullivans restaurant and full bar. Delicious food. A plug for them also. 👍
Ayres hotels have now become my favorite hotel chain. Hands down, the best pillows of any hotel i have ever stayed at. From the cleanliness of the rooms to the professionalism of the staff. No one does it better.
Our family stayed there for 8 days and it was nothing but amazing. Clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was really good, and the pool was very clean. 25min. From Disney and about 12min.from the beach. Cant wait to visit next year.
We stayed at your Hotel for 2 nights and were very pleased with our stay. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, fitness center, and had one of the best complimentary breakfast buffets around! Clean hotel, friendly staff, no issues encountered at any point during a 3 night stay. The hotel is pleasantly updated, and we always found parking. It is also appreciated that the nightly rate included parking, breakfast, WiFi, and other amenities that some hotels find ways to charge for. Breakfast was a bit lacking, due to Covid, the offerings were still hot but limited. No opportunity for pancakes, french toast, or waffles on any of the three occasions we ate breakfast. What was served was always tasty though and included scrambled eggs, toast, yogurt, juice, and sausage.
Had a good stay here at this hotel. The property is clean and well kept. Staff was helpful and kind. Could have used more towels in the room, but thats about my biggest complaint. The Ayres chain of hotels is new to me but have stayed at 3 now and am impressed with the quality of my stays overall.
The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and quiet. We are a family of 3 and stayed only 1 night, but will defiantly book here again. The room and whole hotel is beautifully decorated. Beds and sheets are comfy, and room was very clean. The check in and check out staff was very friendly and helpful.
We loved the hotel. Great service from the staff, nice breakfast and clean.Sorry to say, we hated the musty brown carper in the room. When we entered the room, it had a foul musty smell. You want to keep the A/C down but with this carpet, it requires constant ventilation.Its beyond my understanding to put a ugly musty carper in such a nice and modern hotel. Replace it with hardwood and you have a top notch place.

Amazing experience. My room was very clean. And the complementary breakfast was delicious! One thing is that I wish they would have had sepperate shampoo and conditioner bottles instead of the two in one. Over all, I highly recommend this hotel for future stays.

He is very visible to either welcoming and talking with his guests or his team members helping them, giving a helpful hand either at delicious breakfast time or front desk!!! I have not seen yet such an amazing hotel manager! He deserves a big promotion and bonus this summer!!! I have started to recommend this hotel to many. It reads everywhere it is a 3 star hotel.No, John and his team make it definitely a 4.5!! I have been to a 5 that it was much less than the 3stars of Ayres Huntington!!!
This was my first stay in an Ayres property and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my stay. The property was very well maintained and nicely designed and furnished. The staff was competent, professional, and in a good mood. Before I left, I happened across the Ayres family story, near the lobby, and there I discovered the explanation for the high level of service and the very nice property - clearly, this comes from a good family that has been providing good products and services for over one hundred years. Ayres will be our first choice from now on. Thank you!
Wonderful, local hotel with beautiful foyer. Well maintained. Clean. Hand sanitizing stations throughout. Masks appreciated signs (and everyone I saw in compliance). Rooms were tidy and clean. Great wifi. Front desk team members were friendly and helpful. Cleaning team too! Lovely in-house breakfast by friendly cooks and servers. Beautiful patio for outside dining. Plenty of handicap parking spaces.
The hotel was awesome and the staff was friendly knowledgeable and always helpful. The lobby was top notch and the rooms matched the same quality as the lobby. Breakfast every morning was wonderful and the eating space never seemed crowded always had an empty spot to eat at.Pool was relaxing and the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the California sun.Will definitely stay here again next year
It was so clean and quiet! And the desk attendants were very courteous on check in and departure. However the bed and pillows were a little too soft for me and my friends liking; I wish we could have gotten pillow options. Also the curtains were hard to figure out and it wasnt til the day we checked out that we were able to figure out how to make the blackout shades work.
One of the nicest hotels Ive stayed at in a long time. The staff was helpful from the start. Incredible rooms. Very large with everything you could need in them. The pool outside is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and a shade canopy with firepits. They have a large gym, computer room and a free breakfast in the morning thats enormous. They have everything and anything you can think if to eat. All and all this was one of the nicest stays Ive ever had. I highly recommend it for staying the night in this area.
My family and I came to California from North Carolina. We saw the reviews online and decided to check them out. We were not disappointed. They surely took care of my family during our stay as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would truly stay here or any of their hotels in the future.
Beautiful hotel. Staff very nice. Rooms spacious and clean. Breakfast not continental the staff was always out of things when I came down. And ac wasnt consistent. But overall happy with my stay there.
Hotel is amazing. I cant think of any negative feedback yet. My family still has to stay here some more days, but it will be hard to find a better hotel. Everything is in great condition. The food is great. The service is great. The gym is equiped enough to get a good workout if you do not have a membership at 24 fitness down the street. I cant speak on the pool because I wont go swimming. But everything else has been amazing.
Very nice property and rooms. Excellent and friendly staff. Very helpful with any questions we had. Our team (which included 17 athletes) was very complementary of the breakfast. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

I felt like they had fairly reasonable prices compared to other hotels in the area and the hotel was very clean as well as well kept and pretty. Hot tub and pool were both clean. Breakfast had indoor and outdoor seating(outdoor seating was very nice). The rooms were spacious and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely go back to this hotel!

One suggestion to the checking in process is to please verbally explain that in order to turn on the lights inside the room the hotel door card has to be inserted into the slot on the wall. We couldnt figure out why none of our lights would turn on and we were stumbling around in the dark using our cell phone lighting to try and figure out what was going on. Later I saw you had a little display on the front desk counter that explained the situation, but I didnt notice that when I checked in, nor did they bring it to my attention. Other than that minor issue our stay was very nice!

2023-07-25 14:13:18The Ayres in Fountain Valley has well-appointed rooms. They are clean, updated and well-maintained. The rooms and common areas contain a lot of nice amenities that I appreciate. Service during my stay was prompt and friendly. The breakfast provided by Spoons inside the hotel featured a large variety of offerings. Service was terrific and I always saw 2 or 3 employees making sure all areas were kept clean and refreshed. Everything in the dining room was easily accessible. Quality of food was average and what you would expect from grocery-store items. Scrambled eggs were pretty good and available every day. I would have preferred bacon, which was not offered during my 3 day-stay. It was always some kind of sausage, which was substandard, in my opinion. That is my only complaint for the entire stay! I always try to get a room here when I am visiting family.

2023-10-14 01:37:17Excellent hotel and a great location. I came into town for a wedding and it was so nice to return in the evenings to a comfortable room. The rooms are quiet and clean. The breakfast is ok. I particularly enjoyed my coffee in the patio area. Don’t hesitate to stay! Can’t beat the value.

2023-11-18 20:38:24We were made to feel so welcome, always a good way to begin a stay. Its so nice to return to Ayers in Fountain Valley. We met our granddaughter for a shopping trip. Then dinner and then we returned to the hotel for a great nights sleep, good mattress.

The only disappointment was breakfast, the hotel got cheap on the breakfast, you use to have a great breakfast in previous years. Negative: Breakfast, the only good thing was you had eggs, what about real potatoes for breakfast.

2023-09-04 23:57:12The hotel is pretty new and very clean. The lobby has nice furniture and decorations. We had two king bedrooms which were very spacious. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Ms. Summer, the Assistant General Manager, was very sweet and kind when she helped us check in and also suggested a few places to go.There were plenty of parking spaces (front, back, and around the hotel). My parents liked the complimentary breakfast.This hotel is located 15 minutes from John Wayne Airport and from the Vietnamese (Asian) town (West Westminster & Bolsa). The city hall is walking distance and the police station is literally right next to the hotel, so rest assure you are safe.Overall, my family and I had a really good experience here.
