Its important to have a car at this location even though there are a couple of restaurants nearby you have to cross a road to get to on foot. The place is generally clean with polite staff.
The room itself was very nice, however I discovered a lot of bugs. Ants and gnats mostly and contained to the bathroom for the most part.
Comparable price to nearby hotels. Breakfast is included and offers a variety of options. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Front desk staff amazing. Completely helped us with our parking situation. We hauled our Harley with us.
Positive: The French Provincial decor didn¿t make you feel that you were at a hotel. The fireplace was lit as we entered was charming. Breakfast was more than I expected and the staff was accommodating and nice. They had smiles and conversed easily with us.
Will stay here again when in Seal Beach for work. Personnel were great, clean room and nice breakfast to start the day.
Location was great. Friendly staff. Free parking is convenient. Pretty clean but the chemical they use are very strong and you can smell them inside the room. Breakfast was awful and the room they serve it is like a small conference room. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and pillows were very hard. I would not recommend this hotel. There are way better options for the price!
The experience at Ayers was great. The staff was excellent specially at the front desk. Special thanks to Kasia, she was very attentive and friendly. She recommended some local places and made us gay guys feel welcome.
The hotel was clean for the most part and very energy efficient. Unfortunately every morning and night stomping and doors closing heavily can be heard. Not for light sleepers for sure. Also it is right off the freeway and a few places are within walking distance.
Beautiful little hotel. Plenty of parking, well lit all around. Roomy and so convenient. Next to everything-Shopping, drugstore, gas, restaurants, beach (10 minutes). Beautiful lobby and quick customer service. I needed to request linens for the pull out couch for the kiddo and they sent it right over. Free breakfast with cook on site with option of indoor dining or patio dining. The carpet could probably use a good steam clean, but I imagine the foot traffic from their pool and the nearby beach makes it hard to maintain. Overall, a great stay and would love to stay here again.
Absolutely stunning hotel! The staff were so friendly, the workout room was clean and had lots of options! The rooms were large, well-maintained, and quiet!Just be aware, for the beds, they use a spring mattress so its SUPER bouncy. The air conditioning unit is pretty quiet. Also, breakfast is included and they were a little slow getting food out and ready for guests, but there is a lovely outdoor area to eat and relax!Well definitely use this location again!
Positive: Front desk was a gentleman who checked us in. He was really service minded, accommodating, and helpful. Very welcoming. Negative: Pool is being redone. You should say that on the local website. You should tell people online that the pool is closed. Also, our room 138 was directly in front of the pool and early Sunday morning they started working in the pool waking us up.
This was a great hotel. Its clean, in a great location. Close to a lot of restaurants and right off of the interstate. The airport is also close by. Breakfast was excellent. Jose, the chef, made some delicious eggs, and he was very nice, respectful, and friendly. This was the best breakfast I had ever had at an hotel. I will definitely choose this hotel when I return to Long Beach.
Stayed 2 nights for house termite tenting. Very surprisingly quiet considering the location. TV channels dont match the guide, so that was annoying.The only real downside were breakfasts. We had 2 rooms for 2 nights one for me and one for daughter and her boyfriend. We all agreed they were the worst eggs ever! They are obviously made from a dry mix but, the taste was disgusting. Other breakfast items were so-so. They ran out of coffee creamer and never refill ed it even though it was brought to their attention by a few guests.Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay and conveniently located.
Great Hotel. I like how it is tucked away but also the highway is close to it. My stay was great. The beds are the comfiest in a hotel that I have been at. We stayed on the 3rd floor so we had high ceilings and the room was very nice and it smelled good. Their breakfast was sooooo good! So much food and variety of pastries, cereals, drinks and food. For the price this place is great. I plan on staying here when I am on business in the Long Beach area.

I was in town for work and I stayed at the Ayres Hotel Seal Beach for two weeks.Pros:• Consistent Excellent Front Desk Customer Service - Very Professional• Actual Breakfast is made every morning• Rooms Can be Cleaned Every Day (Optional)• Good Enough Gym thats very clean• Clean Rooms (minus the carpets)• Safe Area - I saw a couple homeless folks in the parking lot one day but didnt see them after that first day• Hot Tub and Pool in working order• Cute Courtyard and Lobby• Free Parking• Plenty of Restaurants in the areaCons:• The Carpets in the rooms are old and dirty. Additionally, looks like they havent been vacuumed in a while.• Loud AC/Heater Unit in my Room. Itd wake me up with a boom sound whenever itd turn on. I ended up keeping it off at night.• Loud Doors - but luckily guests werent up too late.• No Bar :-)Overall, this way a great stay. The front desk Customer Service made a huge difference.
Very nice hotel work accommodating staff, comfortable rooms, and decent amenities. The only issue we had was with the eggs at the buffet, which werent cooked. Runny, wet eggs are not appetizing. But the rest is the food was good and we had as lovely stay.
Rooms are large and nice, the beds are comfortable. I have worked in the room for a bit every day with no complaints. Staff is friendly and helpful and the location is also quite good, conveniently off the 405.However, one deduction: The breakfast buffet is a little lackluster and unappealing to the eye, even if the food is mostly OK. The breakfast room smells of frying oil as the food is prepared in the same room, and the smell gets into your clothes. The breakfast selection could be improved.

Monse at the front desk was able to get me an early check in due to a cancelled flight. She was super friendly, understanding, and considerate. Being the first point of contact, she absolutely nailed it and made me feel right at home here at Ayres. So far, so good! 👍🙌

Pretty nice overall. However it’s advertised as a non-smoking hotel and people still smoke weed in the rooms. Front desk clerk didn’t seem to think it was a big deal but did move me. Won’t be staying here again.
Enjoyed our stay here! I wish they would have let us check in 30 minutes early as I was trying to get ready for my Xmas party for work, but thats my only complaint. Room was beautiful and breakfast was yummy!
Spacious rooms with a nice, high ceiling over bed. Old world charm with dark, carved wood accents mingled with contemporary furniture. Quiet. Clean. Classy. Pool, hot tub, breakfast… what more could u want?! Maybe an earlier check in? Had to kill some time before 4:00 pm

Me and my husband just spent three nights and everything was great, BUT during breakfast we were able to meet the wonderful Belinda, one of the kindest human being I have ever known. She was patient and attentive with all guests and her coworkers and she is absolutely the reason I am leaving this review. Thank you Kasia at the front desk too!

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and spacious. Had a mini refrigerator and a microwave in the room along with a coffee maker. However the breakfast was the best. On site chef that made my morning. Super friendly and had excellent conversations with my 6 and 10 year old. Made for a wonderful way to start the day. Coffee was delish and fresh! The gym was well equipped with dumbbells, machine weights, a stationary recumbent bike, elliptical and 2 treadmills. Multiple TVs as well if you chose to watch TV ( I listened to music) pool and spa were both open. Was close to everything in Seal Beach. Would stay there again!

Stayed here on business. Close to airport. Really close to restaurants and shopping center. If your staying here they offer a breakfast buffet style every morning between 6am to 9am. Friendly staff. Easy check in and out. Rooms are nice. They have a queen bed, desk, small dining table, sofa and microwave oven in your room. Be prepared to insert your key card into a device on the wall to get your electricity. Lots of parking.

My husband and travel a lot, and I can honestly say this is 1 of maybe three of a hotel I can rave about and weve stayed in some high scale places at times and they didnt compare. From the west coast to east coast to halfway around the world. The staff are absolutely professional, personable, kind, smiles on their faces from security, housekeeping, chief yes a cheif and front desk! I am not booshey in any way, but I love a clean room. I inspect everything. I walked and didnt even feel like I needed to, I did either way and spotless. Thank you for a phenomenal nights rest after weeks of planning my daughters wedding at the beautiful The Grand Long Beach, we could not have found a better place to stay.

Very nice experience here! Clean, comfortable room and bed. Great pillows! Helpful and attentive staff. Pool, patio and hot tub area are great. (Quite a bit of chlorine in hot tub, but may be to ensure cleanliness, especially with COVID) Full breakfast included fresh bagels, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and French toast!They have a little Pantry that you can buy items, including water, wine, beer and snacks. They also have a rewards program. I will definitely be back!

Checked in yesterday and Ive been taken aback by the exemplary service received so far!!!!!Front desk has been absolutely amazing.Housekeeping is excellent.Accomodations are comfortable and relaxing.Both the pool and jacuzzi are devine. And having patio door access to the patio and to breakfast is so stress free.Highly recommend this room. But every room is great.More to come when we check out!!!!!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The complimentary breakfast each morning was the best I have ever had at a hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary happy hour each evening was awesome and very relaxing out in the courtyard. The rooms were recently updated and were roomy, clean, and very nice! Awesome hotel and definitely plan to stay here again the next time we travel to the area!

Great place to stay. The staff is great, the young lady who checked us in this last Saturday night was on point, professional courteous and was super insightful on dinner spots.The halls and lobby were clean and smelled amazing. The room was huge, and spacious, clean and orderly. Bed was comfy, but the only downside were the pillows, not soo comfy. Change the pillows up and this place would be perfect.Oh and parking was easy too. Book it, its a Great place!
Stayed 2 nights. Large rooms. Everything was clean. Outdated ? Nope. Breakfast was good, hot and fresh. There was a big rush this morning and they keep their cool and was very nice to everyone. I would definitely stay here again if I ever need to.
Our stay was pleasant throughout. The check in staff was very accommodating to our requests and super friendly. The rest of the staff provided exceptional service from the bell staff to the breakfast staff. The breakfast selection was very good and always hot and fresh. Despite being near the freeway, our room was quiet. Great experience, we would definitely stay again.
It is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, well maintained, and clean. The front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately, we couldnt do early check-in Other than that, the service was excellent. The complimentary cooked breakfast was delicious. The only thing missing was fat free milk or soy milk. There is a gym, but it is rather small, and It doesnt have a free weight area. It has a treadmill, stationary bike and nautilus type workout machine. I enjoyed a pleasant stay. The staff was excellent! Especially housekeeping that did a wonderful job. The only unpleasant experience was the individual staying in the room directly above my room who systematically pounded on the floor for 20 minutes each evening at 6pm. Im assuming some kind of workout routine? if it lasted over 30 minutes I would have called the front desk. However the staff was unaware of this. Overall, excellent quality of accommodations for the price. Very clean and friendly staff!

I love the European vibe and everything seems so clean. Extremely professional and helpful staff as well.
Great location and easy to access. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a great spread. Getting French toast with boysenberry syrup was a pleasant surprise. Definitely a great place to stay in the Seal Beach area, access to everything in the area is easy.

Room is good. Not overly modern but well decorated and maintained. Pool area is nice. Front desk is nice. Icing on the cake is the breakfast cook/attendant. She is the most positive person Ive ever met and goes out of her way to ensure everyone has a great morning. Quality of food is great . Each stay, breakfast is my favorite part by far!
Lovely hotel! They were prompt on bringing a crib after requested, which is the first of all the hotels on our trip (and they were nice about it). Room was quiet. Had a nice desk in addition which was a nice amenity I havent seen before. Breakfast (free) was very good. Supposedly they have a free happy hour in the same location in the early afternoon! 10/10 would stay here again given the opportunity.
Old on the inside, older room decor,reminded me of an old Las Vegas room. If your room faces the freeway, you will hear traffic noise all night. Not great and definately not worth 170 a night
We had a very nice experience at your hotel. Your customer service was very good and it was enjoyable staying there. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only thing that was a little bothersome was the toilet when flushed is very loud and you can hear it from the adjoining room (at least it was in our room). But, overall a very pleasurable experience. We will be back!
Our room was super clean, well furnished, easy to control temperature, and overall very nice. Water was hot when I took a shower in the morning and the towels were comfortable. The provided breakfast was very good, with everything being fresh and clean when I arrived about two hours into the breakfast time! Very impressed and pleased with my stay, I will for sure stay here again when I come to to area.
Great find for hotel in Seal Beach/Long Beach area. 10 minutes from Ling Beach airport.Large rooms, comfy beds, powerful A/C (but a bit loud). Fitness center good and open (no reservations bit masking required), dumbbells, multi stack gym, mixed cardio, had sanitation station. Doing hot breakfast, nice assortment of options and well executed. Hotel public areas and room very clean. Has an issue with quoted one night rate but it was resolved. Customer service 5/5 well done. Would definitely come back. Parking and Wifi free.Some freeway noise so would suggest requesting room facing away from freeway.Easy access into property, good parking spaces.

This is my families favorite hotel in the area! We stay a few times a year! Clean rooms, close to the beach, friendly staff and best of all the chef for breakfast is hands down the best! She’s so friendly and attentive to everyone! Not to mention the breakfast is delicious!
It is nice and clean place. Staff are awesome. Night auditor and manager is one of the great guy I ever met. Muhammad is a awesome guy. Always smile. Welcome guest no matter what time they arrive. Front look very elegant. All over the hotel is nice quite no one make noise or loud music. Its a true quite place all the time. People with family and kids love to join them because of exceptional service. Morning they have excellent breakfast.

The breakfast here was killer.There was an awesome shirt order cool soo g eggs to order.Fresh pancakes and French toast on the griddle.Turkey and pork sausage.And the best bacon I’ve ever had in a hotel.The best was a little on the soft side for my taste.The coffee cups at breakfast were a little too small as well.Overall this is a high quality place to stay with a great breakfast service.They don’t have a restaurant for evening time though.
The morning breakfast was good. However, the menu was the same everyday. Was expecting a variety with the eggs. On a few days the bacon was over cooked.Overall the hotel is excellent. The bed and pillows were excellent, comforting and relaxing. The place was exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend it to others

The room was very spacious, clean, and even better than expected. The grounds are immaculate and the staff are friendly. The breakfast was seriously one of the best at a hotel we have seen. There were so many options (French toast, pancakes, rolls, etc and several meats).
Being unfamiliar with the hotel or the area and making a last minute reservation, we were a bit nervous about what to expect. Now we can say the hotel was very nice, the staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The hotel and our large room were well appointed and comfortable. The room was clean and well prepared for our visit, the bed was comfy and the room was quiet. Dont know what more we could ask ... wed stay there again. Thanks.
Great Hotel. No issues. Somewhat clean. The pull out couch is filthy. It needs to be replaced. It has stains, etc on it. We used some sheets on the bed to cover the mattress. Late 12PM Check out. Everything was close and convenient.
Very nice. Very comfortable and pleasant. Staff very professional and congenial. The breakfast buffet superb. The only thing that I think could be improved upon was that the vanity area outside the bathroom was a bit dark making it rather difficult to apply makeup or style hair. The lighting simply wasnt bright enough. Otherwise, our stay was lovely. We will return.
The room was clean and spacious. It is close the freeway so easy access to different attractions. My safe wouldnt open on my last day and the front desk sent someone up right away to open up the safe for me. Everyone was nice and helpful in the hotel. I would easily stay there again and would recommend it to anyone staying in this part of Southern California.
Room was clean and had a wonderful hot breakfast. Was able to check in early upon arrival. Pool was filthy and we asked for a couple red bulls from the pantry for compensation and were denied. Air conditioners in room 117 and 140 did notwork and Danny said early check in during our second stay was not possible, which it was upon arrival. Girlfriend fractured her foot in Cabo and the hotel does not have wheelchairs. Had to wheel her around in a luggage cart. I would recommend Hotel Varden or Hotel Maya instead.
I reserved and paid for a king bed with courtyard view and stayed in a room with a queen bed and parking lot view. If you dont have a courtyard view maybe you should not offer it as a choice and charge a little extra for it.Our room was very comfortable and clean. That is the most important thing.The staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast looked amazing, I did not eat as I had a family obligation that morning but everything look delicious.Overall we were very happy with our stay and we will be back.
Great rooms. Great breakfast. I would give a 4.5 instead of 4 because my only feedback and recommendation is to have a change machine or accept cc for the washing machine and dryer. When we asked for change at the front desk, they informed us that they couldnt give change until the morning and we were leaving the next day.My other feedback, would be for the front desk clerk to let me know that the access code for the internet was on the back of the card given to me at check in. Overall an excellent stay.
Room was very nice. Staff were all friendly. The lady that cooks and prepares the breakfast food was great. The food was always excellent and fresh, and she always greeted me with a good morning and smile. One morning when it was slow, she insisted on cooking fried eggs for a colleague and I. She rocks!
This was my first time at an Ayres hotel and it was lovely! The rooms were generous in size and appeared clean. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Staff was very friendly. As a frequent business traveler though, a fitness center is crucial and for such a nice hotel I was surprised that the gym was lacking to say the least. Not only was it tiny with few equipment (1 treadmill, 1 bike, 1 weight machine) but it was awfully hot in there. If you’re not planning to hit the gym then I highly recommend this place!

My first visit was impressive and a room was available after 1 am. Room was clean in great condition and personnel was very helpful without being asked. Full breakfast was included and not just fruit and cereal like I have experienced in other hotels. Eggs, French toast, sausage links and patties, fruit, yogurt, what ever there is to offer they accommodated. Very happy with our visit.
Great location. Super breakfast. Nice rooms. HOWEVER, conveniently forgot to mention thatwith the Covid they are only servicing rooms after 3 or 4 days. I think its a way to cut expenses. Not happy about it and it would have made me reconsider this for a weeks stay. Also got a little attitude from desk when I inquired as to why our suite had not been serviced.

Early check-in was verbally approved over the phone a week in advance. Upon arrival after a cross country flight we were advised that nothing was available nor guaranteed for early check-in despite assurances to the contrary a week prior. Waited in the lobby for two hours as several other parties were given rooms.First and last visit.
Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The hot tub is nice and a good way to relax under the stars after a long day of consulting with business associates. The breakfasts are generous and prepared next to the buffet with much love from the exuberantly friendly staff. Easy pick-up from uber and walking distance from decent salads at Ralphs and Sprouts.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! The staff was very kind and helpful. Very nice amenities in the hotel and surrounding area. Breakfast had plenty of selections and was delicious!Our only complaint was the under-window AC unit in the room. The noisy cycling on and off throughout the night made it very difficult to sleep. Our daughters in the room across the hall had an over-the-doorway AC unit in their room, which they said was quiet. Wed love to stay at the Ayres again, but next time well ask for a room with the doorway AC unit.
Ive stayed at a number of Ayres hotels across California. All are pretty consistent. Clean and comfortable. Ecclectic art and decorations. This locations front desk staff has at least one less than great team member. Overheard one telling a guest that asked for bottled water to drink from the sink. And the front desk staff seems to be unable to get the same rates as their web site. So book online first and dont expect to be able to extend at the web site rate. This locations breakfast Chef is a gem. Great breakfasts!
This hotel was great. While it seemed slightly older, it was updated and clean. The portraits hanging on the walls were creepy and odd, but other than that, I enjoyed the other aspects of the hotel. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast Ive ever had. There was a chef making all of the food and it was very delicious!
This hotel is exceptional. Our experience was extremely positive in all aspects. The rooms were beautifully decorated and quite spacious. We appreciate the fact that the hotel accommodated our personal needs welcomed our business for hosting a family reunion. While this hotel is a bit more expensive than what we generally spend, we found it to be worth every dime. We would definitely stay at another Ayres Hotel if presented the opportunity in the future.
I was happy with the size and comfort of the room. Ayres staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was 5-star and the best I have had at a hotel for free. No complaints. Also, I would mention that I left 2 important books in the room that were for my career in fire fighting that I desperately needed. Housekeeping broke legs to find it. I am happy they did that. I got my books next day. Thanks again Ayres. I would return again after 5-star customer service from both front desk and housekeeping.
Every thing was great. The desk clerk changed our room assignments when he realized my son was in a wheelchair. This had been noted when we made the reservation but it was not at the local site and message did not get communicated. My son was very pleased with the layout of the bathroom in particular and believes the room was the one of the best accessible rooms he has stayed in. We had a pleasant stay.
The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The proximity to restaurants in walking distance is a plus. The breakfast was delicious and well prepared. My pet peeve is bad coffee and your coffee was delicious and I very much appreciate pressed cardboard cups as opposed to styrofoam. I also appreciated the USA Today newspaper which was available very early am.
In the negative column: the bed was fairly uncomfortable for two people (sagged in the middle so that it was hard for both not to roll into the middle) and the water pressure in the shower was non-existent (had to use a cup from bathroom filled with tub water to get conditioner out of my hair). The abysmal water pressure thing will make it unlikely I would stay again, I was in a rush to get ready in the morning and it probably took me twice as long to shower as normal.In the plus column: The breakfast was good and the room was very nice (large too) and it was clean. All staff that was encountered was very nice. Overall hotel lobby and appearance of hotel was also good.
We are always excited to stay here. This is our second time and we will definitely be back. This time, my husband left his wallet and when we called and returned, the staff had found it and secured it for us. Definitely made us feel wonderful and safe with an honest staff. Oh, and the cookies and continental breakfast are the best. Love the pool, Jacuzzi, gym. Cant think of anything bad.
The only reason I did not rate your hotel as very good is because you can easily hear the people walking around in the room above you; to the point that it can wake you up. Otherwise the room was quiet.The hotel is nice and in good condition. The staff were friendly and helpful. The interior courtyard to eat breakfast in was nice. The room was well appointed although the bath tub was slow to drain. It was conveniently located to shopping and the beaches.I would recommend it to others.
I heard about this location from a cousin who stayed while undergoing renovations at her home. She was very pleased and so were we. The hotel was nicely appointed, the complimentary breakfast was good. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed our stay.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only issue was one day when the sheets were changed they felt very stiff and the detergent they were washed in smelt very strong. Im sure if I would have asked the front desk to change them out - they would have. Maybe use a cleaner on the sheets that is not so strong. Besides this, everything was great and I would definitely stay here again!
Very clean and has a nice feeling about the hotel that makes your stay comfortable. The maids were very nice to refill our towels daily without having to clean our room each day. The morning breakfast was just enough to get you going however, the ladies were not as pleasant as most of the staff at the hotel. They would close the kitchen area 15 minutes prior to the actual closing time leaving no food out for those last minute guests who wanted to grab a quick bit to eat. If you close at 10 then stop serving at 10 and clean up after that. Dont tell people you close in 10 minutes and therefore will not be making any more food.The rates were really great for the 7 days we stayed there and it was an overall good experience.I would definitely stay at another Ayres hotel again.
We really enjoy staying at the Ayres. This is our second stay and have to say we enjoy being close to our friends at the Leisure World. The rooms were tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Though there was heavy traffic on the motor way, the room was very well sound proofed. We would highly recommend your hotel to everyone wanting to stay at Seal Beach. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast had everything one could want. I love, love, love the Ayres Hotel. I have stayed here before and it continued to exceed my expectations. The staff were excellent, particularly Nancy at the front desk. I understand that shes been with Ayres for twenty-two years, so it speaks highly for both her customer service skills and knowledge of your organization. Also, Housekeeping staff were excellent - Letty and Antoinette and a gentleman whose name I didnt get. The King Room with patio was lovely and very comfortable. The location is great and easily accessible to the 405 fwy and shopping. I had several friends who visited me at the hotel and they were also equally impressed with the hotel.P.S. Having Enterprise car rental on the property is also very convenient.
The morning breakfast cook was amazingly sweet. She made sure every single person was acknowledged and had everything they needed. That’s what made my stay here, everything else was okay, but waking up and walking down there I felt a burst of energy with her pleasant presence! Keep it up, I wish I would have gotten her name. But I’m sure if you’ve stayed here you already know lol she has a really short haircut.
Third floor room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Decor was tasteful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Staff was very accommodating to helping me book two rooms next to each other. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was top notch! This was our second time staying at an Ayres property and the second time we were blown away by the experience compared to the price. Excellent!
Excellent hotel with good facility of pool and terraceThe room was fabulous; good size and I liked the idea of the vanity basin separate from the toilet & shower roomI wish the hotel had some facility for dining or room service and a bar.The fridge at reception was stocked with wine and beer but I would’ve preferred a bar with more stock and also snacks. When you arrive late it’s always nice to have refreshments and a drink at the end of a hard day!
My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel staff is very friendly and responded quickly on every item we asked about. The room and facility is very clean, and comfortable. I have stayed at Ayres before and feel the quality is excellent. Keep up the great work, we will be staying at Ayres whenever possible on our travels.
I do a lot of travel and the Ayers by far is one of my favorite hotels to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a touch of class. The staff and customer service I have consistently received is what has won me over time and time again; always friendly, courteous and professional. The only con I can say is the fitness room albeit nice is minimal but you can get a workout in. I look forward to future stays.
I love your hotel!! The staff is always so nice and helpful. I upgraded to a room off the courtyard this stay and totally enjoyed the room. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in while I am away from home. Rooms are always clean, and Housekeeping always does good work. The pool, spa, gym, and free breakfast are awesome perqs!! I come to California to visit my aging Dad. It is just really nice to have an elegant yet homey and friendly environment to stay in while I am helping Dad with errands and such. Keep selling beer and wine, too!! Being able to get beer and wine at the hotel is wonderful convenience. I will be coming back :)
I was impressed with the rooms for the price we paid. The hotel lobby was warm and inviting. The rooms were clean and updated with nice LED TVs. Very comfortable mattresses. We stayed here the night before we cruised and it was close to the Long Beach Carnival Cruise Port. Id stay here again next time were cruising.
Enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Ayers Hotel in Seal Beach, CA, this past weekend. The hotel was nicely decorated and most importantly, it was very clean. The staff were efficient, and customer service friendly. The daily breakfast includes a wide variety of foods to select from. My selections were tasty. I would absolutely stay there again. I highly recommend this hotel.

Grounds and building clean and welcoming. Updated fun nautical design. Parking free and convenient access. Four EV chargers. Room updated AMD clean. Comfortable mattress. Sofa bed mattress tired and could use upgrade. Hands down the BEST breakfast ever to be included with stay. It was a one person show. She prepared everything- eggs, egg whites with spinach, French toast, pancakes, links and patties, thick cut bacon and hashbrowns. Coffee was premium taste. Most importantly she was friendly and happy.Pool was perfect temp and clean.
Really a very nice hotel with a nice, comfortable courtyard to hang out in. The full breakfast was good and the rooms are a very nice size. About my only complaint would be that the bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked. The review required an answer on the condition of the fitness center which I never saw or used - so satisfactory is all I can say.
Very nice hotel. Check in process was efficient. Room was spacious and nice. Beds comfortable and yet pillows too bulky and not easy on the neck. Breakfast very good with lots of delicious choices. Would recommend staying here. We will stay again in the future.

Staff is very polite and helpful, the blonde am chef is so fun,nice sweet and will cook yoy whatever she can with ingredients she has. The buffet breakfast is very good in itself. Maids dont speak english so is a bit hard to request things. They have happy hour m-w with few snacks,drinks,beer and wine for 1 hr each of those days. We stayed for 2 weeks my only concern was we had to ask for sheets to be changed and the bathroom wasnt actually cleaned during our stay. The pool and hot tub area is nice, the water had some debris but it had been not great weather. Overall i would definitely stay here again.
Located about 15 minute drive in relatively clear traffic from the airport. Beautiful hotel that felt really cozy with the small fire place with places to sit around it by the front desk. The front desk agents were very friendly and professional. The rooms were fairly large with a small area between the bed and the bathroom that had a small couch and coffee table. Nice large tv, comfortable bed and big soft pillows. The bathroom itself was kind of small but right outside the door was the sink with a large counter. If you turned around was a shelf with a mini fridge and microwave with a coffee maker on the shelf. Really nice hotel, would definitely want to stay here again.
Nice quality breakfast. Very clean quiet rooms.A bit disappointed the living room suite didnt have more seating. Weve stayed there many times in years past, and remember better furniture seating in the living room. We just had sofa and desk chair.
Excellent Hotel! The service was great since the moment we checked in. The front desk personnel greeted us with a smile and were very helpful and informative. They answered our questions before we even asked. We were impressed with the over all service and attention to detail. We loved that the Hotel sent a text asking if we needed anything! Wow, talk about great service! We only asked for 2 extra pillows and they were in our room when we arrived! The staff is great! Thank you for making our stay a memorable one!
Great Rooms and decor. The breakfast scrambled eggs were dry and did not feel freshly made. They should have been regularly stirred by the help. I would have liked a tray to take food up to my wife, who was not feeling well. The gym equipement was very limited.
We appreciate the gracious attitude of every staff member from breakfast staff up to the manager on duty at the desk. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable--its actually nice to spend quality time in the room! And when travelling in a group, socializing on a comfy sofa with snacks from the room fridge or microwave make the experience of being away from home more comfortable than one normally expects. Beds are great; lots of pillows a really good idea.
Lovely, spacious rooms. The lighting with the door keys took a second to figure out. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and filling with 2 different types of eggs, sausage patties and links, bacon, assorted cereals, yogurts, and juices, and pancakes. It was all self serve. There is a pool and jacuzzi. There is a mini convenience booth located next to the front desk where you can buy candy, ramen, juice, and even beer and champagne.
Very nice hotel. Everything was clean and modern. The bathroom was the only disappointment as the tolilet and the shower were in the same closet! It was very small and not what you would expect from a hotel this nice and for the price paid. The price per night might have me consider finding another hotel next time.
Stayed here for one night and boy I wish I could have stayed longer. This is a nice, quiet and quaint hotel even though it sits right off the freeway. I had a room on the 2nd floor. It was clean and stocked and probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at. I felt safe and comfortable. The continental breakfast was made to order per say, plentiful and very delicious. Enough variety everyone can enjoy. There is complimentary cookies and water throughout the day. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definately stay again.
The hotel is clean and appears well maintained. Its not quite as elegant as it appears on the website, which was a bit of a disappointment. There was an amenity basket in the room, but no information on if the snacks were for purchase or complimentary so we left it alone. There is complimentary breakfast in the mornings with both indoor and outdoor seating, which we very much enjoyed. I had noted in the reservation that we were there celebrating a birthday, but there was no acknowledgement of our celebration which was also a bit disappointing. Having a rental car was helpful as the hotel isnt near very much in terms of site seeing, but parking is complimentary which is a plus. Overall, its a basic property that suits your needs for a few nights stay. Not sure I stay at the Seal Beach location again, as Id rather be close to the water, but I would absolutely consider using another Ayres property in the future.
Very nice hotel with antique look and decorations. Rooms are clean, and staff is attentive and friendly. Their house keeping is amazing!Their breakfast is OK, they had all continental breakfast components with the exception of bacon. I saw a stove, so cook to order items might be possible, but I did no try it.The hotel has a small gym, and swimming pool. It is conveniently located near CA-22, and I-405, both of which are very, very busy, but I digress.Highly recommended.
A newer old style hotel; clean, large rooms with modern services. The best complimentary breakfast I have ever eaten. Keurig in the lobby 24/7.
We really enjoy staying here. The rooms are very nice. The breakfast is always delicious & the staff is always friendly & helpful!Our only complaint is the water pressure doesn’t provide for a very good shower.
Our phone didnt work, the iron didnt work, took about 20 min to get a new working one. We had noisy people on top of us and was told that they would check to see if we could move on the following day since we couldnt move that night (hotel sold out) and nothing else was said about that.The shower next door is very loud and sounds like they were in our room.I think the breakfast was good but the cook needed help as he was very busy, not enough food at times because of the amount of people as the hotel was booked.
Everything was really nice although renovations were being done. That is a plus! With the amenities in the guest rooms they should consider having a couple bottles of water. Most hotels have this as a convenience. We were disappointed not to find water in our rooms; complimentary or for purchase. Other than this, everything was great!
Had a pleasant stay. From early check in, to quiet comfortable room and fantastic breakfast and dependable wifi. Front desk was helpful at getting me checked in as quickly as possible, and providing a duplicate key when I left mine in the room. Great breakfast!
The location of the Ayers in Seal Beach was perfect for us. Close to the beaches and tons of restaurants. Breakfast in the morning was great. Id love to see coffee available all day - but Im a coffee junkie! The service from staff was great. I love the rooms - everything was just right. We will be back!
All was great with the hotel. My only complaint is: we had a fairly large group staying there for my nieces wedding. We all stayed for two nights. (Stinson Wedding) with that being said, I had 7 of my young grand children with us. Your hotel manager was less than accepting of three of my grand daughters eating breakfast outside in the patio Friday morning. He made a comment to my daughter in law, please keep your children under control, we have had many complaints. It was 8:00 and not many others around them . I think this is a family hotel and you do have children coming to stay. I believe that could have been said with more tact. Maybe some training in that aspect would be good.Thank you,Janice Pack

Ive never stayed at an Ayres hotel before. The hotel and rooms were very nice. The rooms were spacious and had a refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot. The laundry facilities that were just down the hall were especially useful. The area surrounding the hotel was very nice and had nice sidewalks for a morning run.
WiFi did not work!! Hotel room was nice and clean. I had requested for a 4 person room. My room had a queen bed and a queen pull-out couch, which worked fine except for the fact that no bedsheet or blankets for the couch were in the room. When we called the front desk, they asked us to come down and get it! I thought that was very bad service. They shouldve had the extra sheets, pillows and blankets ready in the room. At 11 pm,I had to send my son to the front desk to bring everything up
The gentleman at the front desk was amazing, very helpful and extremely cheerful.. A true delight!The room was clean and nice, the bed was the only complaint I had, it was very soft and kind of sank in the middle. But other that that I was very pleased overall .
Ayres Seal Beach is probably the most thoughtful hotel Ive stayed in! The manager was friendly and fast, another front desk employee was able to get me some plastic fork and knives after the dining room was closed, and the room service respected my privacy when the note was placed in the card holder! And they even had good, soft cookies out front! Oh, and they even thought of putting extra towels in the fitness center. A bunch of insignificant things, but made the difference! You can tell the manager is thinking of the customer and not just the dollar sign or himself.
I have stayed here multiple times for work and the stay has always been enjoyable. The rooms are clean, the staff is professional and the breakfast is great! Also, dont forget about their happy hour!

We stay here whenever were in the area. This hotel has a feeling of old world elegance while providing every modern convenience. The staff makes you feel like they really care and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is unsurpassed in variety and quality.
1st time staying here at the recommendation of my front office manager at a Best Western Plus here in AZ . Great service . Very good breakfast and your rates compared to other hotels was excellent for a Friday night at the last minute . Definitely would recommend you guys to my family and friends . Also, would definitely plan on staying there again the next time Im in the Long Beach area with my family .
This is a lovely hotel! The furnishings are first class, clean and quite comfortable. The service is also top notch with helpful and friendly staff. The only cons that come to mind are: there is no safe in the room for valuables and they charge you for early check-in.
Loved the place because of the attention to details. Enjoyed the greenery around the hotel front. Pleasant and helpful staff at the desk, quiet and artistic lobby, spacious outdoor area in the back with outdoor pool, first floor hallway with historical Long Beach black and white pictures. Rooms were great. Orchestral music station playing in the elevator. Close to the highway but not too close that it was noisy. Masseuse a couple store fronts away and a Kobe Japanese Steakhouse across the street. Plenty of other places to eat not too far away.
Second stay at this hotel, because the service previously was exemplar. Unfortunately lightening doesnt strike twice. The last night of my stay the power went out and continued to flicker, and my calls to the front desk werent answered. After going to the lobby I was nonchalantly told to take the stairs and wasnt given an explanation to the power fluctuations. On another note, I usually get a late check-out and asked for a check out at 1pm. I was told by the front desk attendant, Adam, that the room was booked for the night and that the latest they could checkout was 12:30 pm. It is absolutely ridiculous that they couldnt extend the checkout for an extra 30 minutes. Ive stayed at his hotel for over 8 nights. They have lost my future business.
Our room was quite spacious with a sofa for relaxing. The breakfast was as usual extensive and good. The decor tends to be old world plush. The bathroom sink is conveniently located in front of the tub area.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Ayres Seal Beach Hotel, the room was spacious and really clean. The bed was so comfortable, and the room was overlooking the courtyard. I got a great nights rest, the room was nice and quiet, I couldnt hear any traffic noise from the street below. I would definitely stay here again
Overall stay was very nice. We asked to change rooms because the first room we were given was next to the freeway. The front desk quickly accomomadted us with a better location. The breakfast was ok. We have stayed here many times before and have had a better breakfast. That is the only reason I rated a 4 this time. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again.
We had an amazing stay at Ayres Hotel Seal Beach! This was my first time at an Ayres Hotel and I was just there for one night. The rate was absolutely worth it for the stay! I was able to easily book it online. The room was beautiful and spacious, with everything that my boyfriend and I could have needed. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of cold and hot options! Staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. And location was very convenient to stores, restaurants, and Seal Beach! Loved the stay very much and wish there were Ayres Hotels on the east coast (where we live) but dont believe there are! Thanks :)
Our visit to the Seal Beach Blvd. Ayers was very good. The breakfast was fantastic. Best we have had in a hotel which provides breakfast. The food handlers were very hard workers that kept up with a hectic Sunday morning holiday. Enjoyable visit. Thanks for remaining consistent. J Hanson
Rooms are spacious, a little elegant, and functional. Our 2 Queen room had a large working desk, with lamp and outlets at desk level, as well as a two person round table with chairs. There is a large vanity sink, just outside the bathroom proper (toilet and shower). There is also a microwave and mini-refrigerator. Breakfast was a full breakfast: Two kinds of omelet eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, cold cereal, oatmeal, pastries. The breakfast room is large and airy, just off the lobby. Location is convenient: very near I-405, with fairly easy access on and off in both directions, but just far enough away that you are not aware of the freeway while in the hotel itself. Staff was professional and always very helpful. Wifi worked perfectly with minimal hassle.
Stayed here twice with a friend. The rooms are gorgeous. Very comfy and QUIET. The shower pressure could use work and my only real big complaint is both times at 8am the maid comes knocking on the door. Even with the privacy card in. And the last time she opened the door then left. Thats unacceptable. I was gonnna do 3 stars but since the hotel is so nice k did 4. But please of you have paying guests and check out is not until 12 noon dont rush to clean the rooms until they officially check out soo annoying. Other then that its a nice place.

Great Stay... Ayres Hotel Seal Beach was our pick for a weekend soccer tournament in the area. From the very beginning allowing us to have an early check in to a late check out - the staff was very helpful. The overall hotel was comfortable and quiet. Will visit again next tournament season
Any time we go to a show at Speghettini, this is where we stay. Convenient location and very clean and comfortable rooms. I pay the extra when available to get one of the patio rooms close to the pool. Good full breakfast and close to plenty of restaurants to choose from. Staff is friendly and responsive. Ayres has become one of my all time favorite hotels. It provides warmth and a coziness I need in order to relax from a stressful life. The breakfast, was a real breakfast with a variety of food to pick from. The employees were very professional, helpful, patient, and kind. For an awesome nightly price, I plan to make Ayres hotels my regular mini get away hotel.
We were only able to stay one night, but would love a return visit. The room above the court yard was spacious, clean and elegant. The little time we did have, we spent about 30-45 mins in the Hot tub and enjoyed the court yard at night. We requested towels and within minutes someone brought out a full cart quickly and was very pleasant. The grounds Security stopped in at 2145 to advise us that the area would be closing in about 15 mins. He apologized for disturbing us, which he didnt, but he was very polite about the information. We had some time in the morning to enjoy a brief breakfast and if it wasnt for the event we had to attend I would have love to have stayed much longer. I do believe we will be returning on one of our next trips down south.
Attractive facility, rooms clean, well kept, check in was fast and friendly. Breakfast service offered variety. Parking capacity immediately beside the hotel can be a bit short, but shopping center adjacent has plenty of space.

This is the first time I book with your hotel as we were to attend a 50th wedding anniversary at Old Ranch. It was very need and very convenient. Unfortunately, it fell on a long holiday weekend and rate was very expensive but it is understandable. It happen to all hotels. We were given a free early check-in time at 01:00 PM as my wife is disabled. Thank you! The continental breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed our stay no matter how short it was.

Ive stayed at this property several times over the years, and tend to choose this place when Im staying in the area. Despite being really close to the freeway(s) I find the hotel to be quiet and somewhat peaceful. I enjoy the evening reception and the proximity to Norms. :)
Comfortable rooms, the lack of food and bar service is a major deal breaker.Nice to offer the breakfast. Week day breakfast should be extended to 10 a.m.Was not aware of any hotel Van service. I had to walk alone late across the street to have dinner.It felt very unsafe and dangerous crossing the very busy street.

The Seal Beach property is in a great location, close to restaurants, shopping, freeway, and a short drive to the ocean. It has very comfortable beds, nice amenities, and pretty good complimentary breakfast selections. And the fresh chocolate chip cookies are quite yummy! Very good customer service too.
Your hotel staff is always very friendly and helpful. The room is always clean as well. The breakfast was even better this time with the scrambled eggs with spinach and veggies.
Ayres Hotel Seal beach is a hidden paradise. The hotel is smaller but very intimate. The staffs there are very nice and accommodating.There are 2 specific rooms in the hotel are my favorite.1. If you are lucky enough to snatch a deluxe king room with the patio access to the courtyard and swimming pool. You are all set to enjoy your stay!2. The deluxe king room with the courtyard view on the 3rd floor room number 328 and 330. These 2 rooms with very high ceilings due to the fact that they are at the highest point of the buildingOne of the best experience of the seal beach hotel is their complimentary Full breakfast served between 6am to 9am daily.coffee, tea, orange, apple juices, cold breakfast like cereals and yogurt and fresh fruit, Hot breakfast like scramble eggs, pancakes and french toast, bakery like pastry, bagels, bananas nut muffin blueberry muffin etc. it’s the best way to start your day !
Very nice hotel; located just feet from the freeway ramps its got great access but you can barely tell its so close, road noise is not an issue.Rooms are nice, well kept, but not flashy.Nice complimentary breakfast and free WiFi and parking is brilliant.Overall a great place to stay!
Quaint moderately sized hotel with an old school elegant & colonial feel. Check in was seamless and their texting option was great. Our early check in was easily accommodated. Affordable stay for a holiday week plus a grand breakfast spread with cooking right before your eyes...more on this later. We stayed in a double Queen room (on 3rd floor) that we were surprised was so big...the high ceilings surely helped. The beds were so comfortable, perfectly firm & soft, no sinking in and my legs didnt fall off the bed. Im not freakishly tall (59) but most beds in affordable hotels in Cali are too short for me. The light switch was interesting because you had to slide your room key into it for it to work... this proved better as we didnt misplace our room key! It was well lit with two large ceiling lamps, 3 smaller lamps on each night stand (3) and the desk. The night stands and dresser had a beautiful dark cherry wood finish that appeared to be continuously glassy. Flat screen TV on top of the dresser with a remote that fully functioned.There was a few pictures throughout the bedroom that were nice landscape paintings that perfectly complimented the white painted walls and dark cherry decor.The bathroom and kitchen that were across from each other, let me be clear the counters were across from each other. On the kitchenette counter there was a single cup coffee maker fully stocked with coffee, creamer, sugar, and a few packages of tea. There was also a microwave, and a small refrigerator. On the bottom shelf of that counter was a black bag and in the black bag was a fully functioning full size hair dryer.The bathroom sink was right across from the ferry I just described above... it had its own light switch that lit up the mirror in front of the sink, Along came a box of Kleenex, an extra roll of toilet paper, trial sized shampoo, conditioner and a few trial sized bars of soap (body & hand soap), along with 2 plastic cups and ample hand towels.The diagonally positioned door was the bathroom itself, complete with a toilet (obviously- LOL) another roll of toilet paper, and a full-sized bathtub and shower combination. Initially, I question the diagonally positioned but realize once I opened it that this was the best thing about the bathroom area because it was perfectly sized not too small and not too big.The breakfast spread here was great. You walk in and to the left you have a variety of beverages to choose from and International Delight creamers!!There is also a little refrigerated bin with multiple yogurt to choose from, fresh fruit nearby, an individual making fresh eggs, pancakes, french toast, bacon, hash browns, and Florentine eggs... To perfection I might add. As you proceed down the counter area youll find an array of condiments from salsa to catch up to maple syrup and sugar-free syrup. Further down youll find lots of morning pastries and once you get to the other counter space youll find four different cereal choices, whole milk or 2% milk, hot chocolate mix, oatmeal mix, and plastic ware or silverware.Definitely will be coming back sometime soon and will continue to recommend. Honestly, I was concerned as it was immediately off of the freeway wasnt sure if the sound would travel however there was some pretty good insulation as we were not disturbed by anything... including neighbors.Less than 5 minutes away from us and one direction are an array of stores, 10 minutes in the other direction is the beach. The beach is equally quaint, not as crowded as the more popular beaches and has a small playground. Parking is also a lot more affordable.
Just great as usual. I am spoiled by my sleep number bed at home. That was the only thing I missed. Always been a great stay. They dont have a DVD player available. The staff and other guests have always been friendly, interesting. A lot of out of US travelers. Lots of families with children.
The place is beautiful, and well kept! The employees at the front desk were SO helpful! The rooms are large and laid out really nicely...we were very happy with our whole experience there! Thank you!
Once again, very pleased with the hotel, although it would be nice if the breakfast service on weekdays would stay open just a bit later (say, 10:00). Also, the upholstered chair at the desk does not work well for laptop (too low, does not adjust). You need an ergonomic chair for these desks.
Lovely hotel. I would have lined a make up mirror in the bathroom area by the sink near the hair dryer. It was very difficult to apply makeup without such a mirrorA Laundry bag was not in the closetI found an extra pillow in the bottom dresser drawer, but did not find an extra blanket anywhere
The hotel is very pretty and comfortable. The rooms are large, clean and beds are comfortable.Breakfast was very good. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking fora place to stay in the area.
Great breakfast served until 10. Nice Victorian age feel. Gym and conference rooms. They have green technology and systems so you dont waste water or electricity, and a TV Guide printed in each room so you know what channels are what.
I usually do not write a review, so I will keep this simple. The ambiance of the Ayres hotel sets it apart from some many others. The cleanliness, the hospitality and the customer service is all second to none. From a weekend getaway to an overnight business trip, If there is a Ayrea Hotel nears, that is where I am staying.
I love Ayres!!! It is my top favorite hotel chain. There is a home away from home feeling every time I go there for a quick get away. I appreciate their friendly attitude and service. The decor is warm and welcoming. Ayres is definitely my favorite place away from home.
Overall we had a good experience and appreciated the help and support of the staff. The only problem we ran into was when trying to find delivery service for lunch during our meeting. If your staff could develop relationships with the local vendors that process might have been easier and more successful

I know it took me a long time to write a comment. We book our hotel on Jan 17, 2010 for our Honeymoon for one night before leaving town. The staff there was very rude and they never told us what time our check was after the maid walked into my room with out knocking. When I went to go drop off a key the woman there at the front counter was very rude to me. This was five years ago, I just never got around leaving a comment here. I will never do business with a bunch of rude and disrespectful employees. I let people know not to go there any more... Employees need to learn better customer service...
The staff was very kind and polite- excellent!The rooms were a bit outdated- no computer plugs/adapters etc.My room had a smell that was bad- I had to make coffee to change the odor-The TV had issues as well and no room service
Overall excellent all around. I live just a few miles away but stayed as my daughters wedding party was using the hotel for guests and pre wedding activities. Hard to get early check in which would have made the day a little less hectic but everything went well in the end.
In my current stays in other luxury Hotels I think I finally found affordabilty under $160.00 a night. They have amazing rooms nice outside balcony / patio space and the customer service is truly something that Id give a 13/10 3+ extra credit points for the pearly smiles on the whole staff. Beautiful clean hotel room with comfortable accommodations. Hotel needs to pay attention to the dirty elevators however. The floors and baseboard in elevators is more than noticeably dirty.We travel to southern CA from Idaho 4 times per year. We only stay at Ayres Hotels. Our favorites are Seal Beach, Orange and Fountain Valley. The hotel in Anaheim is older and not in great condition.
This hotel is so nicely decorated and clean. I loved the breakfast - spinach in the eggs - yay! It was quiet (on the courtyard side) and the location is conveniently located. I will definitely stay here again.

I would give a six or ten or one hundred if I could. My family fell in love with the hotel during our stay. My wife fell in love as soon as we walked into our room. Room 205. We stayed from Thurs Oct 20 through Mon Oct 24. We walked into our spacious, elegant room and felt such a relief. We are always nervous when trying out a new hotel. I assure you that we will be back. I have stayed at the W Hotels in Time Square and the Waldorf and Hyatt Regency hotels and Omni and so many others. You are doing everything right. Im still in shock that I couldnt find one speck of dust. I WOULD recommend giving some adjustable shower heads or adjustable shower head pressure or settings, but THATS it. Let everyone in your hotel know how great of a job everyone is doing from maintenance, to food and breakfast service, to parking and laundry, and of course the great folks at the front desk. Im not sure who we liked more....the times when two guys were working together (of about the same age) or the times the two girls were working (one older and one younger). We of course asked the ladies for the best shopping areas, 2nd street Belmont did not disappoint. And we asked the guys about eateries and directions (naturally because I am a guy, right!). Either way, FABULOUS work, great location, affordable prices, and A++ service. By the way, you should see a good review on Trip Advisor in the next day or two. Thanks so much. I did not use the hotel van, but I may next time just to make sure thats great too.....lol!Robby
Very friendly reception. Room was nice and clean. The cleaning/maintenance crew left a key card in the slot so lights and air conditioning were both on. Breakfast was delicious.

Hotel is very basic. Clean. Nice breakfast. Fitness center is very small and only 3-4 machines total (1 treadmill, 1 stationary bike, 1-2 weight machines) which is not adequate at all for the number of people.
Rooms are ok size. Get one on upper floor to avoid headlights in your window. Chef cooks with mask under his nose. Many people abandon masks at breakfast and crowd the juice and coffee stations.

Complimentary water or coffee near the check-in counter. To-go containers available for your convenience. Pool area opens at 8am. Decent gym for a traveling workout.

Zero complaints, highly recommend. Oh, another thing, its amazing how quiet our room was, considering we were right at the freeway. Thats a first for us.

2023-08-21 16:38:30I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the area was nice, walkable distance to a few restaurants, felt safe the whole time, their staff was very nice and accommodating, they constantly checked in with me to see if theres anything they could help with. The room was clean and nice, the bed was comfortable, the restaurant was decent, way better than other hotels that say they have continental breakfast but in reality all they have is pastries, this hotel has actual breakfast options. We had to leave a day earlier unfortunately due to the hurricane, and they were very flexible and allowed us to check out a day early with no problem, and refunded that night we didnt use. I will definitely stay with them in the future.

The customer service at the feont desk was great, I cant remember the ladies name that helped me, but she was amazing, and so was the woman making the free breakfast, I think she was the supervisor. The whole time I was there I saw the housekeepers cleaning everything and rooms. My room was clean and made up perfectly. 100% nosie free and dark room with no light coming in unless you want it to. They had a very nice little gym with a pretty good choice of equipment.Next time I stay in this area, Im making my way here.Across the street, there was a great hibachi place for dinner and a 5 minute walk down the road there was shopping.Im from Las Vegas and seen great, good and bad places to stay and this is with in my top 3 greatest.

2023-08-01 19:41:49Stayed here a few years ago. When I was checking in, they were dealing with a glitch in their systems so it took a while for them to check me in. Bit of delay, not a problem. The problem occurred when I was checking out. Apparently, due to the glitch in their system, I was given a room that was more expensive than what I paid for (I was there for business and didn’t think about which room I booked so I only found out about it at the checkout). And the reception dude blames me for not letting them know about being put in the more expensive room. All in all not a very pleasant experience and not a very good customer service. The room was fine for the purpose (sleeping the night before the conference…)

2023-06-18 21:54:14The Ayres in Seal Beach is, simply put, affordable luxury. The staff at the front desk were very professional and accommodating. The entire facility was very clean and well maintained. Rooms were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were always delicious and we particularly enjoyed the lady who supervised breakfast Belinda I think, was her name. The well maintained landscaping and the pool / patio area all made for a quiet, comfortable oasis. Thanks to all the professionals at Ayres for helping to make our vacation to Southern California such a pleasant experience. See you next year!!
