2022-11-07 01:21:44Food was definitely a let down based on what Ive seen in other reviews. The large menu has pictures of each dish and the actual dish comes out a very pathetic version of what was pictures on the menu. We ordered the chicken protein plate for $21 and the Huarache for $13.50. the chicken protein plate had about 3oz of very thinly sliced chicken, meager amount of grilled veggies and 3 tiny shriveled asparagus. The side salad was very standard fare and nothing about this plate was memorable. I mentioned to the server about the very small portion of meat on the protein plate and he said it was 8.5oz of chicken, the portion for a normal human, it was most definitely not more than 3.5 oz. She did bring more chicken to help compensate after she reviewed what was shown on the menu. A favor she would make sure to not let me forget as she mentioned it several times including when I was paying and selecting a tip amount. The Huarache was below average and very very hard, you needed a steak knife to cut through the corn. It was very forgetful and would not recommend. All and all, this was not a good value for the average food that was eaten here. Would not come back

2021-05-07 01:53:05Really excellent fresh food. The restaurant smelled very clean, and the server was friendly. All of the fried food was cooked to perfection- crispy and hot. The pesto fries and charbroiled chicken kebab were standout dishes. The onion rings and churros were also delicious. The chipotle and jalapeño sauces were very spicy, so proceed with caution. The non-spicy sauces had lots of flavor. Highly recommend this restaurant!

2022-07-31 01:12:11First time here, but not the last. We had the Mexico City (Chilango) dog and the Quesabirria Taco plate. Both were tasty but the tacos were the clear winner. I cant wait to taste some of the other Mexican specialties, like the chankla and the pibil (we had a small pibil taster taco and it was obviously their specialty).Prices seemed a bit high, but the portions are really big so we took home leftovers, making the whole thing feel reasonable. Service was so friendly that I felt like a regular on my first visit. Its off the beaten track, but worth the trip.

2019-09-21 22:00:56Found this 5 star rated BBQ place and totally agree with the 5 star rating on their food. We loved their signature Carribbean style roast pork. Definitely need to order that. The kabobs and tacos were also great.Didnt expect the milkshakes on the menu, but they are totally worth it, well made and enjoyable. We were seated promptly, order was taken shortly after, and food came out pretty quickly. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. The only let down on the whole experience was being forgotten and overlooked at the end when we didnt get the check and had a difficult time flagging down wait staff for the bill, which still took longer than expected to finally reach the table.Id go again for the food, but would let staff know if the check is needed soon after foods is received. Food gets 5 stars while service gets 3 stars.

2023-03-28 23:35:47Place was empty at 4:30 on a weekday, but I’m so glad I trusted the reviews. This was one of the best blends of Southern and Northern American food. Located In a no frills plaza, the portions are huge and delicious.Barria quesadilla & side of fried plantains

2021-08-21 21:11:57It’s rare that a place known for its meat treats its vegetarian dishes with the same love, and Azalo’s veggie kabobs definitely taste divine. There is genuine love for flavors infused into all their dishes - and the sauces! I could write a review for the sauces alone, they’re so good! I’ve only been here twice but they’ve welcomed me like family visiting their home for lunch every time. They will feed you well, and you and your taste buds will leave happy. I wish them luck and prosperity for years to come!

2023-06-03 00:52:41Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Pretty quiet little place. Food was decent, not great. My plate was supposed to come with pickled onion but it was left off. Which really took away from the plate. It needed that crunch and some sour. Without it it was kind of like well spiced slop. The flavor was alright, just not great texture or balance. Service was fair, but nothing special. Overall it was fine. Not really what I was hoping for though. A little pricey for the quality. Probably wont be back.

2021-10-21 20:51:14I am so impressed by this restaurant! There are many reasons why it has so many great reviews. Its mouth watering delicious! My favorite menu items are the Cochinita Pibil and the Birria. You can get it as a combo place, tacos, quesadilla, and chanclas. Im new to the area and this is the restaurant Ive enjoyed most since moving here. Cant wait to go back! And the people working there are very kind which makes it even better!
