Great food and friendly staff! Simon is really cool, and David was most hospitable. Get his recommendations on what to order!! We had the Banh Uot Cha Lau and Hoanh Thanh Soup. Everything was delicious. We even picked up a couple prepared items to bring back home to Indiana. Bo De is Bodhi in Vietnamese, means enlightenment. They’re only open 6 hours a day. Those who know, go.

The owners/servers are very friendly, nice and knowledgeable. The foods are amazing. The atmosphere and the decorations are very cozy. We’ll definitely visit this restaurant when we come back to California.

Plenty of parking space. Located on the southeast corner of McFadden and Ward St.Inside the restaurant is very roomy and doesnt feel very crowded. Owner is friendly and recommended the dishes because it was our first time there. We ordered the Bo Bia with peanut sauce, Pho, and stir fried beef steak on top of fresh salad with rice. Food tasted very delicious and freshly made. Good recommendations from the owner. Prices are good and reasonable. Will return again to try the other dishes.

This place has delicious food! My favorite is the Mi Xao Gion (crispy noodles stir fry). I think this vegetarian version tastes superior to other non-vegetarian restaurants because of the recipe they have here and the way they cook the noodles (very crispy but not oily at all). Even if you dont usually go vegetarian you should try the food here, Im sure you will like it!

I cant say enough good things about this place. This is easily my favorite restaurant with incredibly flavorful and fresh food. I ordered the kung pao green beans and fried egg rolls. Both dishes Ive had at other restaurants but they dont taste anything like this. The service was perfect, very positive atmosphere with long time customers for obvious reasons. I cant recommend this place enough. Its a hidden gem that I will be visiting frequently!

The food here is AMAZING! So full of flavor. I cant wait to try every single food on the menu. Ive been here only twice and ordered different dishes every time. The owner is also very friendly and the entire staff too. If youre here for the first time or youre planning to come, dont hesitate like I did for a long time. Just do it! If you are vegetarian, you like Vietnamese food, you like to eat, and you like flavors, this place wont disappoint. Eating here is like an adventure. I love it. PS. This place is cash only.

We had a wonderful experience here! Food was delicious and David, one of the owners, was the nicest man. We were visiting from out of state, and he treated us like a local. He greeted everyone who walked in, and we saw so many regular repeat customers. Best experience!

Stoked to have found this spot on an OC trip. Its like an express version of the famous Bồ Đề Tịnh Tâm Chay! They have an impressive range of Vietnamese food from multiple regions and everything I had was tasty. They also have some food to go like intestines made from yuba skins and stuffed tofu. Big portions, great prices.

Hit or miss on the food, ex north Vietnamese noodles was delish, the jicama-carrot-mushroom was mushy yucky. The fried mushroom w/basil good but Vietnamese hot pot was a $28 disappointment--several pieces of tofu in a slightly sour pineapple-lemon grass soup with raw veggies is a hot pot? First and last time ordering that. Service last week OK, this week zero follow up.

The pho ap Chao is really good here. Highly recommend coming for just this dish. Honestly better than many other pho ap Chao Ive tried with meat.

THE best place to eat vegetarian food in OC. My partner and I have vegetarian for 6 years and Bo De Vegetarian Food really hits the spot for us. Other vegetarian restaurants can lack flavor, but this place (although it can be salty at times) has so much variety in taste. I love their vege fish and other to-go foods when Im in a rush-- quick in and out! So quick and so tasty; the workers there are also so nice and friendly, even those not vegetarian!

This is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I have been to. I felt like I had known the owners, David and Vince, for a lifetime. They are most hospitable and take the time to engage with the customers about the menu items. The food is beyond outstanding and definitely a treat for vegetarians, but more importantly for those who want an excellent Vietnamese vegetarian culinary experience. Great place for vegetarian food. The Pad Thai and Phở Áp Chảo (fried Pho) were incredible. The food was drenched with sauce which I really liked. Everything is flavorful but not overwhelming, so is just right. The server went above and beyond by asking to accommodate us on every little thing, which was heartwarming. I just wish it closes a but later so I can stop by more.

We enjoy this place. Originally, we found this restaurant simply on a whim. Coming from San Diego, we just didnt know where to go to find good vegetarian food. Remarkably, we found ourselves in paradise with so many great plates. On our first visit, Dave the owner showed extra care with our order, had us sample new dishes and drinks. From now on, if we are in OC, Bode is in the itinerary and we enjoy talking with Dave!

They used to be located next to the Asian Garden Mall.Their new location here is better as way easier to find parking.I came on a Saturday noon time, most of their ready cooked food were sold out. I ordered 3 of the ready cooked items (bitter mellon, Tofu with lemongrass and Sour Soup), and from their menu I ordered the spring roll and Ban Xeo.I enjoyed all their 5 dishes thoroughly. 🥰Will definately be back for more at a earlier time next time.😋

One of the best Vietnamese vegetarian restaurants in the area (Little Saigon). We love to go there because we are a big fan of those dishes and in addition its cheap as well! Owner is also a waiter and speaks English as hes white.

Love, love, love Bo De! David and Vince, the owners are super awesome and come up to you personally to see how youre doing and give you recommendations on dishes, if youre indecisive about what to get. The Kung Pao chicken is our absolute favorite! The shaken beef with the watercress salad is our second favorite dish. They also have a little to go area. The lemongrass curry tofu is delicious and worth a try!

I wasnt expecting a restaurant in a mall to have such good food. Their vegetarian take on traditional Vietnamese food was very well done. Even if you arent vegetarian you will be happy.The owner was very hospitable and as soon as we walked in he quickly cleared a table and brought menus.The service was fast and the food presentation was excellent.

The food is super delicious! The owner is super sweet and caring and always makes sure you are enjoying your food. I recommend trying the pho thap cam, it’s sooooo good! And they have this special where if you are a student in school, if you have a 4.00 GPA by the end of the semester, you can get a free meal! That’s so cool!

It was my first time trying vegetarian Vietnamese food. I was hesitant and not sure what to think. I got number 19 i believe, bird net. I call in my order, the guy to answer my was nice. When i got there, the employees were super friendly and talkative. They make me feel welcome ( I was stand off-ish). The girl at register ask if i been there before, what other vietnamese places i been to, if wanted a cup of water. I was very happy with my experience. OMG it was time to eat! Just looking at it was unsure what to think, but once I try it. I was sold!! It was sssssoooo good!!!! Rich in flavor. Everything compliment each other. I like the new location as there is ample parking lot and the restaurant is bigger than its old place but it still feel cozy!I love hot pot lẩu mắm & rau. The appetizers we ordered was hoành thắng chiên giòn & nấm chiên giòn, they are tasty and the sauce is awesome, sweet and sour taste just perfect!

The food are amazing. Ordered lemon grass tofu to eat them while watching Netflix at home. I highly recommend trying the Pad Thai dish and the lemon grass tofu as appetizers. Definitely coming back!
