B - Vietnamese Street Food & Comfort Food in Los Angeles

I love Vietnamese food, and pretty much all other cuisines from Asia - they put other parts of the world to shame with their bold and layered flavors.The Banh Mi was one of the better that I have had. I thought the meat was just a tad dry and I would have preferred more pickled veg to cut thru everything else.But if Im back in LA, Id be happy to return.

Im a big fan of Banh Mi sandwiches and yesterday was the day when I craved for one. We ended up ordering two Banh Mis with Pork at Bé Ù. And although they understand the flavor complexity of ingredients and importance of a fresh and crispy baguette, the pork was indeed on a dry side, which is sad.So, if I may to make a suggestion on how to make your pork Banh Mi a perfect well-rounded full of flavor gastronomy masterpiece, I would recommend to use a fatty and succulent pork belly as a protein. You can never go wrong with pork belly for such dish as Banh Mi. Just make sure to not overcook it. And if you decide to go this route, please let me know, Id be happy to come back and taste it.I mean, there is a good chance that you can make your sandwiches worth to be craved for with such a small change.

Wow, one of the best pork Banh Mis Ive ever had. So good, and great price too. The vegetables are packed in there with the pork (which wasnt too dry like some of the reviews are saying), and the baguette is perfectly soft and crispy. The girl who took my order was really nice too. 👍

It’s actually 3.5 but I’m rounding up because I want to try them one more timeWe ordered the tofu banh mi and both me and my husband thought that there was too much bread and little flavor. It was dry and hard to chew and swallow. The little flavor that was there was delicious though, I wish there was more of it and less of the bread. I give the vegan banh mi a 3 stars unfortunately.We also got the summer rolls with mushrooms and avocado and these were delicious! I highly recommend them.

Amazing little spot. Staff is welcoming upon arrival. Menu is easy to read. We got most of the classics and some new ones like the Bahn mi and Rau Ma ( blended leaf drink ). My favorite was everything with the Carmelized pork & egg on the bottom. There’s no dine in, it’s all take out. I would definitely come back. Hands down.

I had the noodle plate with lemongrass chicken and it was amazing! Really fresh and tasty flavours from the mint added. The porridge is great too! Very similar to congee. I recommend both! 5/5

Bé Ù is a fantastic casual pickup spot. Dont let the informal setting or lack of dine-in fool you, a meal here will be so flavorful and satisfying thatn youll have to come back. The staff is always incredibly friendly and Ive never had a bad experience here.

Super cute, walk-up window in Virgil Village serving Vietnamese dishes with eco-friendly principles and great service! Their food is super fresh, served to-go in sustainable packaging, and they recycle and compost! Not to mention the food is amazing. Super fresh and healthy with many protein options. Keto and vegan friendly with no compromise. Highly recommend the summer rolls and noodle bowl with lemongrass pork. Thanks Diva ;)

Ate so fast I forgot to take picture.Yum rice noodle salad w tender tasty beef dressed perfectly,popcorn fried chicken was cooked well, very tasty and crunchy, the aioli was too thick for me but tastyQuick,clean,yum food !Update:Ive been eating here for a month and its better every time!Egg Banh Mi is a beautiful sandwich as is the frickin chickenProtein Green salad ! Look at it!

Stopped by here for the first time today and got the Protein Greens with chicken and a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Food was a large portion and the coffee was a bit small but perfect. Both were really good and everything came out quickly! Would definitely come back.
