This morning, I was in the mood for French toast with some fruit. So we went online to see what restaurants were close by. Bads Diner was one of four restaurants in the area near the water in Suisun. When we got there, we saw a sign on the door that said no dogs were allowed. However, I have a service dog, and the staff didnt have any issues with that. When we were seated, we had to wait a long time to receive the menu and water. The servers were all really busy, so I understand the delay, but thats why I didnt give the restaurant five stars.Fortunately, Cassey was absolutely amazing and took care of us once she was done serving the other tables. She was very friendly and pleasant to talk to.The food was amazing! I loved the French toast and will definitely come back for more.

Nice American diner with many breakfast options. Our food was delicious. Our waitress was friendly. We went on a busy weekend so had to wait awhile, but there’s chairs and shades, nice view to look at so it wasn’t bad. Reasonable price for the quantity. The only that bugged me was the number of flies flying around. Plenty of parking available.

Service very slow with very few customers in the diner at 1pm. Flies, and I hate flies when Im eating! Food was average. Expensive for just average food and service. Potatoes were greasy and stayed with me for hours afterwards.

This nice spot had a great diner experience. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, which I wondered if this would happen since we were outside. It was very busy and still had enough places inside and out with a short wait on a Sunday morning. Very pleasant being right by the water with boats and the local lighthouse in view. My blueberry pancakes were made with fresh blueberries and coffee was refreshed as needed. Id go back to Babs next time Im in the area :)

Absolutely a wonderful visit, each time we go to eat we are greeted right away and have friendly service throughout the entire meal. I am going to try each item on the menu as there are many! Bills Omlet and the Spanish Omlet are delicious. The biscuits and gravy are amazing, the rice had me thinking about coming back all week to get more rice! Beautiful location right on the water, cant wait for summer weather to sit and eat outside, during winter there are outdoor heaters in the covered patio.

What an amazing find in this little town! A must visit!Was visiting and had a few hours to kill so decided to come here for breakfast. It was still not too busy when I walked in around 8:30….but was packed as I was leaving, so this place is no secret! 😀The people are extremely friendly!! The food is delicious, plentiful and very fairly priced!The coffee is quite good, and they provide flavored creamers as well.The chicken fried steak was soft and deliciously cooked.Only place I know that offered fried rice as an option instead of (or in addition to) potatoes! Must try! The potatoes were not generic hash browns or country potatoes, but deliciously seasoned scalloped potatoes pan fried!I am definitely coming back here next time I am in town!

Food was amazing, quite genuinely the best breakfast place Ive ever been to, left so full and satisfied. The prices felt so reasonable for all that we got. It took the waiter a while to find us, we were sitting for about 10 minutes before she asked if we would like water and the restaurant cant control the flies however maybe if they bussed tables more immediately there would be less for the flies to settle on 😅Place still gets 5 stars for the food alone, maybe just order togo so you can avoid the service

Highly recommend this place. Be ready to wait if you are coming on a weekend. In the summer they have a nice open patio seating and in the fall they cover it so you can still sit outside and look at the Suisun marina. Portions are large and their famous fried rice can be eaten instead of breakfast potatoes. Very good food.

I harp frequently about service Babs has this down to an art. Kristy was the server, I have no idea how many times she refilled my cup, but it never was lower than an inch. The food was served very fast. So I ordered the French Toast Combo, and this was something new for me, their French Toast is made with sourdough bread. I found it rather unique, and liked it. It doesnt have an over the top flavor, its there and subtle but good. I liked it. The eggs were cooked perfect. The bacon had good flavor but was a little thin. The coffees flavor seemed light, not even medium but after drinking my never draining cup I got use to the light flavor. Overall a good experience. Parking is easy if you arrive early; there is a lot right in front of the building with about 40 slots. Street parking is all over the area as well. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Out door has a nice view of the Marina. Indoor has a bar for eating seats about 8 folks. Large groups should make reservations.

The food was incredible. However, either the owner. Or some manger of sorts. (Asian lady) Pressed/Harassed me for a tip. Which made me and my friend really uncomfortable especially when we had hospital tags on our shirts. Waiting for his mom to get out of the hospital. Which ruined my experience as a whole. Great food but seems quite cash hungry.

Been here a few times and food and service are consistently good. Love the ambiance of the waterfront. We choose to sit outdoors during the nice weather days. But be prepared for a wait as it can be get busy at certain days and times. They take no reservations so you’ll have to be on a waitlist where you are given a number and your number will be called over the outside loud speakers which is nice because at least you aren’t forced to be stuck to stay at the restaurant. We usually walk around the waterfront or you can layout a picnic blanket and they have a pretty sizable area with grass underneath a row of trees which is so cooling since you are under the shade. And you can just relax there while you wait to be called. On a busy day and time looking for parking can be hard but there is parking across if you don’t the extra walk.

Server’s were nice, you can tell they are very busy, and don’t have a lot of time to interact with the customer.But the food wasn’t good! at all!!what we ordered was dry, overcooked or over seasoned and unseasoned. We are very surprised at how many good reviews this place has.We also noticed that the place really…does need a good deep cleaning. The table was sat at was sticky everything was getting stuck onto the wooden table. The location is great. But definitely needs some much needed updating.

Local place, really good food. It just seems like the wate staff is off. Nice people, dont get me wrong. But organizational needs help. Take a section and work the section. By bouncing all the way across the restaurant people get lost in the mix. Example wate time for food to come out. As well wate time to get the check and cash out. If that were sped up table turn over would be quicker.

Must stop and try if you havent already! We have been wanting to try for some time. Babs was worth the wait. Everything was good. Sat inside. Love all the windows and great water front view. We were immediately seated inside. It was full outside and filled up inside.Tried the chicken fajita omelet, good! 👍🏽 comes with salsa and sour cream on the side. Tried the half fried rice and half potatoes. What a great combo! Try it!Got Rods Special, corn beef hash. Went to Babs Delta Diner on a Sunday around noon. Short wait 15-20 mins. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. My table had the eggs Benedict, corn beef hash, and French toast. All three were solid. The diner is right on the inlet so there is a nice view of the water right outside.

In town on a family vacation and this was my choice for birthday brunch based on reviews. Babs exceeded my expectations. Great! ServiceFriendly playful staff. Massive portions and everyone loved their food including the kids. Babs is now our choice for great diner food. Fried rice 👍👍 thanks Babs3/23. Tried Babs again as we were in town. Portions, portions, portions! Wow, for the price that you pay, Babs does NOT play. I was very surprised at how plentiful the plate was, especially since the sausage patty I ordered was unexpectedly HUGE and reminiscent of a smash burger 🍔 The fried rice option also took me by surprise and I opted to try; it did not disappoint.If youre ever in Suisun and stuck between deciding where to grab breakfast/brunch/lunch, this is a wonderful place to go. Shout-out to the awesome server we had as well, as she graciously accommodated for our large party of 13 with ease.

On a whim on our way back to Chico from San Francisco we stopped off at Babs Delta Diner for breakfast. It was 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning so there is a bit of a wait when we arrived. We were given a number then sat and watch the hustle and bustle as we waited. We were seated within 10 to 15 minutes and were greeted with a smile by our server. From the number of dishes I saw coming out of the kitchen I was quite excited to eat. I ordered the ham and eggs but instead of the classic potato side there was a rice option that I went for. Breakfast was delicious! The service was prompt and friendly. We are looking forward to stopping off at Babs again in the future. Try the rice with your breakfast dish youll be glad you did.

They tryed to throw my service animal out I WONT be back. I had to send my pork tenderloin back because it had NO flavor. I was told my waitress would be written up for not informing me that it would be tough and flavorless / absolute trash the owner some of the employees and the food. The COOK Should be the one responsible for flavor.

I love this place the staff is great and the food is always amazing. I usually order the Rods special and they special make the fried rice for me with no onions. They make everything special order here. They don’t have pre made packaged food. I also love the view from the patio and you can take a nice walk afterwards alone the Delta.

First time here, grabbing a Saturday lunch after bicycling here from Martinez. Decent cheeseburger, lovely fries, soda with refills. Popular brunch spot, waited a little for seating, lots of people getting breakfast options that looked really good. This is a great restaurant. I highly recommend going during the week as the weekends this place is insane. My only complaint would be the biscuits and gravy which are just blah. The gravy seems to be flour and water, no seasoning whatsoever and they’re just like chewing on nothing. Seems like that there is no attempt to make them tasty. Other than that the wait staff was wonderful, we had Shelby and she was just on top of things. So I highly recommend the place, maybe just don’t get the biscuits and gravy.

Quaint and cozy location right next to the waterfront in Suisun City, adjacent to Fairfield/Vacaville. About 10 minutes from highway 80.There was a minor wait due to the busy Sunday crowd (this was around 1pm). This was not too big of an issue as the surrounding area is nice, park like area with benches etc. to pass the time.The breakfast options are what you might expect from the typical choices. I had a sourdough french toast, while my associate had blueberry hotcakes.The French Toast was quite delicious, and came with butter and powdered sugar as you might expect.I had a side of 2 eggs (scrambled) and bacon, which were both similarly solid in taste in presentation.The restaurant has a down home feel, with lots of excited locals eager to dive into the generous portions and relaxed setting.The service was excellent, although we did sit at the counter so I suppose it would be hard to miss with fast service and friendly staff.If you have some time to kill and are in the area or traveling through, be sure to give this one a look even if it is a minor detour. Your taste buds and friends/family will thank you!

I guarantee you wont leave this place hungry. Its fresh food, made to order ...and ALOT of it.I ordered a small biscuits and gravy thinking it would be one biscuit cut in half. What i got was 2 full sized biscuits ( bigger then normal ) taking up a whole plate. They were obviously made in house fresh and the gravy was among the best Ive tasted. I orded a side dish of ham as well and got a full slice of fresh ham steak. I will be eating the rest another day.Servers are friendly, but very busy.. they dont believe in empty coffee cups. I was refilled every few minutes without even asking.They are only open for breakfast and lunch. They do it WELL! I will be returning sometime to try the lunch menu

Fresh ingredients, ambience and huge portions define this lovely waterfront diner in Suisun City. Potatoes come with or without onions and you get free refills on coffee or iced tea. Pretty standard fare. Wait staff is very nice and willing to answer any questions you may have. I took one star off because the iced tea was too bitter to drink and they dont have alternatives to milk so you are stuck with water if you are avoiding sugar. Finally, cross contamination of wheat and other allergens is a thing here, so avoid this place if you are celiac or allergic to anything.

Ive been going to Babs for 20+ years, never been disappointed. Just recently had breakfast, the omelet was perfectly cooked and the potatoes, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive. Love this place, highly recommend!!

One of the best breakfasts We’ve ever had. My husband and I loved everything about this experience. We both ordered “Rod’s Special”, which is: Corned beef hash with cheddar cheese, poached eggs, potatoes, and toast. We also both chose to have our potatoes “with onions”, and we both chose rye toast. Everything was perfectly cooked. The potatoes were cut in thin slices and many were crispy. They were topped with a mixture of caramelized and green onions, which was delicious. The hash was homemade and fabulous, and the poached eggs were just right. The rye bread that the toast was made from, seemed to be freshly baked. The amount of food was more than generous, neither of us could finish everything. Our server was exceptionally professional and friendly. We dined outside near the water, which was especially appreciated, given the pandemic. I highly recommend this restaurant.

3 stars because the food is always delicious. However, Im not sure what happened today. I am a former server/bartender (over 15 years) AND still a Suisun resident. I walk to Babs for breakfast. I came in and asked to be sat, table for 2. My mother was coming also. I was told my WHOLE party had to be here to be sat, so one other person had to show up to be sat. There were about 4 or 5 completely empty tables, but really no issue, I know restaurants have their rules. Ok, Ill wait. I go outside and a woman walks in by herself, I think nothing of it really, then car after car drives up, of course, its BABS! About 10 minutes later another woman walks up solo, and that grabs my attention. I wait, she never comes out. Hmmmmm....I walk in and she is sitting at a table with the first woman I saw walk up after me, ALONE, and there are 3 water cups on their table. Now I have an issue! I think, wasnt that woman waiting for her whole party? I stand by the door and no one says a thing to me until I finally say, to the same girl, Since theyre waiting for their whole party, can I sit down?Oh, yeah, sure. grab a tableI go and find my own table, no one seating me. For HER to be irritated with ME was surprising. Please train the people who greet guests to treat everyone the same.What was the point of that? If you are slammed and in the weeds, I completely understand waiting. But to let the very next person walk in, sit and wait for a party of 3 to show up? I should also mention the 2 men sitting solo when I came in again, who were waiting for their guests. I was a bit confused with this situation. That was not a great experience and Ive been coming here for years!

Good country breakfast and lunch menu with a wide variety to choose from. Homemade corn beef, simply delicious. The service was great the entire staff is very customer focused. Everything was hot, well prepared and tasted great. At first glance you might think it is too crowded, but not so, they are fast to seat your party, at the bar, inside table or out. Overall really great experience definitely one of my new favorite places!

They evidently have a service charge for larger parties (we were 8 at 2 tables) of 20%. We feel that is an outrageous amount and we were not apprised of this. A delightfully delicious experience all round. We sat at the bar for immediate and very good service. The biscuit was a little dry after too long in the oven, but had good flavor and the excellent sausage gravy solved the dry problem nicely. Perfectly cooked, over medium eggs and big juicy sausages. I like to first recognize Christie, by far the best server at this establishment. She anticipates our needs ahead of time, in fact, while setting our table she places my husband’s favorite orange marmalade without asking. The breakfast also comes with two poached eggs and your choice of toast. Every breakfast is delicious but this is a favorite that you must try at least once. You will not be disappointed. Took 20+ mins to get a table and then took 68-70 minutes to get our food after sitting down. This is THE place to eat for breakfast/brunch in the Fairfield/Suisun City area. I lived in the area for about a year and would come here every sunday that i could. Excellent diner atmosphere and a staff that was always friendly and helpful. All of their omelettes are great, and I love that they come with fried rice. Many of the other dishes are great as well. Definitely not over priced, and a great location by the marina. Sometimes you will have to wait, and that is when it is nice to walk around the marina and look at the boats. I have since moved away, but this was one of my favorites when I did live in the area, I would highly recommend.

Was very disappointed on our service today. As a party of 2 it took over an hour to be seated. This didnt seam right so I went to the front desk to see how much longer only to find out we were skipped over about 6 people ago. I think the problem is they were not announcing the seating numbers inside, only on the speaker outside so never heard my number. Once seated the server never once refilled my coffee. Did not ask if I wanted onions on my potatoes. Someone else brought our food. So didnt really so our server until the end. The to go order I placed with our dine in order took another 30 min after we were finished eating. Basically forced to leave the table we were sitting at to wait for my to go order. The lady manager is definitely not very friendly. I noticed this during my 2 and half hour stay not only toward myself but also to other customers. I realize they were busy and to wait is to be expected but I did not feel like the service should have been this poor. No matter how busy they were. Very disappointing and frustrating indeed.

Babs is a treat for my wife and I any time we come out to visit family. My wife absolutely craves their fluffy, just slightly sweet pancakes. My favorite is the French toast made from sourdough bread. Service is always top-notch and second to none.

Sitting outside on the patio on this lovely July morning. Its 80 degrees out here and there are lots of flies. They have cool fly shooaway fans on the table to keep the flies off of our food. Have a good corned beef breakfast, good french toast, good chicken fried steak and many other great choices. I also like the Reuben sandwich.

Always tempted to drive two hours just to go here, its that good. First went to Babs around six years ago and have been raving and recommending it since then. Large portions, good prices, and a beautiful place to walk around.

Never a bad experience at Babs! Love their coffee and the food is always delicious and huge in proportions. We never leave here hungry. Also, the wait staff are always friendly and prompt.

Waitress was good but hostess was rude. Big portions, but not that great of food. Seating outside was awful due to the chairs being uncomfortable, hard and the back made it seem like you were laying down. Second time Ive ever been there, not impressed.

Nice little Diner on the Marina. Great food and very friendly service. Drove from Sacramento just to take my Beautiful, Wonderful Wife out for brunch. Great place just to take it easy and enjoy a quiet afternoon.

Great food, great service! Even though it was busy, the food came fast and the wait staff were attentive. There was a line out the door as we left so go early.

This was the first time I visited Babs since 1995 or so. I was 15 and it was nearly the same as I remember it. Back then it was new to the Marina. The restaurant sits right on the water near the boats. While on vacation in California, I stopped by my home town and I just had to get some Babs!Babs has a story-- its on the menu, and Ive met the owner, Bab, when I was a teen. She doesnt work there too much these days and her daughter is the manager now.Enough about all that-- the most important part that you all want to know--- THE FOOD!Well, honestly its very good. My brother in law and boyfriend both got the Chicken Fried Steak. They both said that it was the best theyve ever had. They both get CFS nearly every time we go out for breakfast-- so thats saying a lot. I got an omelet and salad and it was an omelet... nothing special, but nothing bad to say at all. I ordered a Spanish omelet, but they were out but going to run to the store but I was 100% OK without it-- just added bell pepper.Good portions and good home cookin!

If you ever visit the Suisun waterfront, this place is a must! Two words, fried rice! Yes! Pair up any breakfast favorites, such as bacon, sausages, corned beef, chicken fried steak! You wont regret the combination of flavors that will satisfy you to the fullest (pun intended).

The food is very good. I love that they have fried rice if you want instead of potatoes. The staff is super friendly and the outdoor seating has a great view of the Suisun waterfront.

Food is Bland, had the biscuits with gravy the gravy was freaking nothing but pepper disgusting gravy the biscuits well they werent Buttermilk Biscuits like Im used to at Fremont Diner they spoil you rotten. Add a side of corn beef hash which was okay yeah the chairs sit back and feel like youre lounging instead of sitting at a table to eat really crowded noizy I dont know what the whole hype is all about it sucks the only thing that was good was the fried rice. Also my coffee tasted like ground up cigarette butts. Of course I didnt complain you know you live you learn, we heard all about it and didnt live up to its hype! Not coming back fir sure! Good luck

We usually a breakfast burrito, corn beef hash breakfast, an omelette and some sort of pancake breakfast and let me tell you, we are never disappointed. Service was incredible, thank you Kristy, for always being so awesome.

DONT GO HERE!!!!!!! . FROM THE START THIS LADY WAS VERY RUDE ABOUT THE WAIT TIME . We waited 35min BECAUSE THATS WHAT WE WERE TOLD THEN COME TO FIND OUT . We waited ANOTHER 15min AND WAS TOLD TO WAIT THAT 15min RUDELY …We waited to be seated, then another 20min FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE OUR ORDER …after waiting almost nearly AN HOUR TO RECEIVE OUR FOOD and asking Several times about our food and how much longer . I was approached by the SAME RUDE LADY (OWNER) she got in my face and told me my food was going to take another 20min after my waiter told me it should be coming out any time . She was VERY RUSE AND TOLD ME I COULD LEAVE . I had came here with my family and my kids were HUNGRY !!! DONT GO HERE go to joy of eating across the street . MUCH BETTER CUSTOEMR SERVICE AND KID FRIENDLY
