2023-07-09 22:55:14If I could do half stars this place would be a solid 3.5. The food is ok, nothing I ever eat here makes me say “Wow! That’s the best _____ I ever had!” So starting there, this place gives you an AWESOME bang for your buck. I posted photos from 2 separate trips - one set from dinner and another set from the breakfast menu.Dinner: We ordered 2 fried rice plates that no one could finish. Fried filet of sole that came with a big slab of fish and a side of mushroom gravy, filet mignon and chicken combo plate, filet mignon and shrimp pasta, lamb chops and beef plate and finally a spam and egg over instant noodle for the comfort food diner! The plates are definitely loaded with food. A few of us could have just shared each plate without packing all the leftovers afterwards. The meat is nicely cooked but it doesn’t taste like much other flavoring except salt and pepper. So as I mentioned, nothing special. Their rotisserie chicken is also nicely roasted and wasn’t dried out but you really do need side gravy to help the plates by adding a little flavor to everything.Breakfast - Breakfast is served until 11am so if you want to try their breakfast menu, be seated by 10:45am to avoid “missing” the golden time to order! That said, this place is packed for breakfast but don’t fear, they move people in and out quickly to turn over tables. Six of us arrived at 10:30am and were seated within 10 mins so be patient and don’t worry, they will seat you. The breakfast menu has a number of options available. We ordered grilled pork chops (comes with toast, eggs and coffee), porridge (comes with your option of a noodle), steak and eggs, instant noodle with spam and eggs as well as a fried chicken sandwich. My friends like this place because it’s such a good deal for breakfast but food is ok.Service - overall service is quick and efficient. The waiters are multi-dialect in Chinese and speak English as well. They will keep your never ending lemon ice tea filled as well as your milk tea. Once you clear a plate they’ll grab it to keep things moving. They also offer outdoor, tented seating but when it’s hot and sunny outside that can be a bit rough so we normally opt for indoor seating.

2023-08-15 06:23:54This is the perfect siu yeh place to come if you need to have a late dinner. No matter the occasion, Baccali is always on our radar. There are unlimited refills on most drinks and portions are gigantic so Im able to pack a ton of leftovers for the following day. I always order the combo with three meats: beef, pork, and chicken. It also comes with either pasta or rice, vegetables, and a sauce (I get the black pepper one). The menu is also very large and covers a wide range of siu yeh foods, from traditional dishes to various fusion dishes.

2022-01-30 07:00:59It’s rare enough to find a place with great affordability and quantity all in one. Except this place gives you great affordability, quantity, AND quality. I ordered their Triple Crown dish and for $22.95, I couldn’t even finish half of it and ended up taking it to-go!! I’ve posted an appropriate photo to show the size, but I’m a 6’1 male with a “decent-sized” fist. I think my photo shows a very impressive comparison.10/10

2022-03-19 05:25:23This place never disappoints me. This is one great Asian-style Western food available in LA or even in the US. Ive been to multiple Asian-style Western restaurants (Japanese ones, Korean ones, Cantonese ones) but this place is hand down the best I could find in LA so far. They got very juicy steak and lamb chop and their baked rice/pasta is definitely far above average. I have yet to try their royal chicken and other Cantonese food but I bet those must be legit. Id love to try their lobsters and other foods. They just have too many food choices that I have to go there more and more to try every food they have!

2019-11-08 17:56:56Typical Hong Kong/Western Cafe. Food is pretty good comparing to other nearby cafes. Service is actually not bad. Interestingly enough, the pasta that they serve is quite tasty. You can order a side of it & its $1.50. Not bad at all & the portion is pretty good. Lots of combinations to choose from.

2022-08-25 15:18:32Good food, big portion, but service could be better. The interior of the place is a bit messy with stuff being stored in the area visible to dine in customers. Well, you dont go to this kind of place for customer service or interior decor anyway.

2023-03-26 16:13:55I felt this restaurant was a little bit run down when I walked in. It has been in the same location for many years. But the food is amazing. Big portion, fast service and freshly made. Price was reasonable Lamb chop was good. Baccali chicken didnt impress me much. The club sandwich was surprisingly well made. This is one of the best Hong Kong style restaurants in town.

2021-07-25 04:32:32Hong Kong style cafe. They currently have indoor seating and outdoor seating with individual tents and tables with a clear screen to keep the wind away. Stopped on a Saturday evening and this place was busy both indoors and outdoors but we were able to get a table right away. The prices are a bit higher than some of the other similar restaurants but their dishes and portions are large and decent in quality.
