Open and well presented interior. Adobada meat was flavorful however the corn tortilla was thick, doughy and soggy. The Carne Asada quesadilla had little cheese on it and again the tortilla was a total let down; missing that flaky, good flavor that you expect. Sadly will not be coming back

What a fun entrance to this most delicious Mexican Food establishment. Google maps didnt lead us wrong. We enjoyed every bite we took. We ended up getting the bad hombres burrito wrapped in a cheese quesadilla. Fantastic!!! We also got the 2 red taco plate and potato rolled tacos. We took about half home as portions were large. The personnel here were quite friendly. We will be back to try the street corn and the machacca tacos soon. Oh, Im sure we will try more than that. Go check this place out!!!

We absolutely LOVE the food here. We have only been a few times so far but have tried a variety of different menu items and have loved everything. The only complaint is that when I made a phone order one time and online order another time— the food took 30-40 minutes to be finished even tho they said 10-15. It’s definitely a super popular and busy place but it shouldn’t take 20 plus minutes to complete an order versus the promised time. If they could work on that discrepancy there would be no complaints :). Otherwise, like I said the food is AMAZING!

The Surf and Tutf Fries was everything 🙌 😋. Big portion size and shareable. I also had birria ramen and red tacos. I was coming in for my sons graduation, so I looked for places to eat. I saw Bad Hombres on tiktok and Im glad I stopped by twice while I was there. The restaurant and bathroom were very clean. Workers pleasant and nice. When Im back, I will definitely come back.

The food is excellent and really tasty. The green and the red salsa are both really good. We got the bad hombre tacos, surf and turf taco and the shredded beef rolled tacos. All them were fresh, really enjoyable and stuffed well. I think you will really enjoy the food and go back. The only negative thing is the young kids working could be more attentive, there was spilled water at the entrance, I mention it to the kid, he acknowledged it and did nothing and let people walk all over it

My family and I tried this place for the first time. Simple menu but delicious food. I had the Birria Ramen and my husband had the Campechana (Angus beef and Adobada) fries. The portion size is just enough if youre really hungry or just enough if youre hoping to save some for later. The ramen was not too spicy and very flavorful and my husband enjoyed his fries. Price is also very decent, we spent $25 for both of us.

These so-called Bad Hombres are really the best people and theyre serving up some really good Mexican food down in #santee !Weve been wanting to try @badhombresgoodmexicanfood for awhile now, and they did not disappoint. They have nitro cold brew, so we got our caffeine fix while waiting for our food.We each got one of their famous Red tacos - a crunchy birria taco with cheese. These tacos are loaded with meat, cheese, and crunchy onions and soaked in their delicious broth. The flavor is just unreal! And they have a really good salsa specifically for birria. I think we have a new winner for our favorite birria taco in the whole of SD county 😍😍😍We also shared a birria ramen. The consome/broth is so good I wanted to take home a bucket of it 😂 Its really rich and slightly spicy, and adding some lime and their special birria salsa just kicked it up a notch above perfection. They give a lot of meat and noodles too, so it was perfect for sharing.They do have an extensive menu including breakfast items, so we will have to go back and try more.

Dined in here on 6/25/23 at 1600 hrs.. This was my choice after I walked out of Mr. Birria Taco Shop because their menu print was too small to see and read. Ordered their Shrimp Burrito and it was perfect. Not over or underdone. Dining area had a clean floor, windows and the tables were wiped clean and the fans were in use to cool off the diners from the warm temperature outside. Their motto is Good Mexican Food, and based on my second experience there, I agree.Message to management: Keep up the good work. If you maintain your high quality overall, I will be a return customer.

Quite possibly one of the tastiest taco shops around. I got a surf & turf burrito combo with cheesy rice and frijoles de la olla as my sides. Nothing I tasted was less than perfect. So delicious! All three salsas taste good, which I loved because theres nothing worse than bad salsa at a taco shop.

Great food, Great staff.I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience here. A while back my wife was having a bad day and went through the drive-in, the lady added a small note to her bag and brightened up her entire day. The line at the drive through can get prettying long at times, but now that the dining room is open, it can be quicker to park and run inside. The kids menu gives me a laugh every time I see it. Highly recommend.

The BEST customer service around! This place cares about their customers and it shows! Some of the delicious items are potato rolled tacos, quesadillas with white cheese, and their rice. The burritos and food here is huge! I got the surf and turf and the shrimp was amazing! Like amazing. With that being said, Im not a fan of spicy food and i definitely dont have a high spice tolerance. I tried the surf and turf, the beans and rice, and the ramen here and both the entrees were definitely on the spicer side. I would get the burrito again so definitely not super spicy, but it totally bummed me out that everything I tried seemed to be a bit too spicy for me. Perhaps it was just the menu items I chose though.The whole family loved the massive portions here as well and we will definitely be back.

I wanted to like this place, after all they have Mario on the side of the building. However, I have to say its a pass. The burrito lacked flavor, everyone I was with had to completely soak their burritos in red or green just to get some resemblanceof flavor. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Dont waste your money in the potato tacos. The potato had no seasoning. My sister said, “I think I can taste pepper”. My sister liked the rest of her food though. The potato tacos rely completely on the cheese for flavor. They don’t put guacamole on them either. I was so disappointed. My sister and nephew liked their food. Went here on the recommendation of my coworkers. So far Ive had the same thing every time...the Super Cali burrito. Very tasty with some extreme heft to it! Tonight (my 4th trip there in a month!) I got another recommendation from a coworker...make it a quesarito. For $3 bucks more you can have your burrito wrapped in a quesadilla. First time in my life I had to eat half and take half home, or Id have been USELESS after my lunch break! If the one burrito Ive tried is that good, Im sure everything else has got to be! My first time eating here and I have to say the food is extremely delicious!The service is excellent! They are friendly and welcoming. I have to mention that my wifes tacos tortilla was soggy and we asked for another tortilla to replace. Instead of replacing the tortilla they wanted to make us a whole new taco instead. This place is NOTORIOUS for messing up orders. It happens just about every other time we come here. If you are ordering vegetarian options, be warned, they quite frequently put meat instead of potato. Its gotten to the point where we will no longer be eating here. Fantastic food! They use angus steak for their Carne Asada and you can really tell the difference. All the ingredients taste fresh as well. The food is pretty good in my opinion. I usually get Campechana Fries and add Chipotle Cream, you cannot go wrong with that combo. Ive never had any issue with the service, staff is always very polite and respectful. Now, the one thing I do say that your meal could do without, is the salsa. Anyone who says or is saying that the salsa is good, does not know what good salsa is. Im Hispanic so yes I know what good salsa is and thats not it. If the salsa was good, Id be willing to give it the 5 stars. Theres nothing worse than bad salsa ruining your tacos. Other than that, the place is great and I would recommend to all my friends and family to try out, just dont ask for salsa.

I had to edit my review. They were amazing in the beginning, but they are now just ok. They are inconsistent. Some of the best shredded beef tacos and rolled tacos in town. I keep ordering the quesadilla and have yet to get one that hasnt been overly cooked. Ill continue to go to Cotijas for my quesadilla fix. Would love a greater chicken mix in the options, like rolled tacos, but their current offering will keep us coming back. If youre looking for some quick Mexican comfort food, Bad Hombres is a must to visit. If you do not feel like getting off your vehicle, they have a drive thru that you can go to. The location is pretty easy to get into, but you might have a hard time getting out, only if you go there during busy hours.This is out go-to place when it comes to shrimp tacos. Me and my aunt loves their shrimp tacos because they add tiny bits of bacon and the sauce that they add on it is phenomenal! I would definitely suggest getting their corn on the cob, Elote, if you are feeling like it. I know it might be a bit pricey, but trust me, it is worth it. They add enough spices on it and would definitely satisfy your cravings. What I would normally do is warm it up more in the microwave, just so its more satisfying to eat. But you dont need to do that all, just a little tip. I would also try to get their Hotchata just so you can have that extra taste!I would definitely recommend this to other Yelpers out there who loves good food!

Edit: I may not return. On two separate occasions, Ive had a long black hair in my food. One was in a drink, Im not even sure how that happens, the second it was in the middle of my burrito. We had the 5 rolled taco and the California burrito. Both were average at best. There is nothing that sets it apart from the rest of the fast food restaurants between Santee and Clairemont.Having a lot of food rolled into tortilla does not make a great burrito or taco. It is the flavor and textures of the tortilla. It is the combinations of spices and sauces mixed into the preparation of the meat that makes the food memorable. This applies to a fast food restaurant to a 5 star elegant sit down restaurant.The people at Bad Hombres memorable. With the long line and wait time to order and receive the food they are cheerful and helpful. I give them top marks dealing with so much of the public and still keep a great attitude.

Just ate here for the first time, huge Mexican food lover and just moved to the area. New spot with flashy signage I was ready to give it a try but didn’t necessarily have high expectations.But dang.First of all portions are huge, my carne asada burrito was absolutely packed and the meat was super juicy and fresh tasting. The red and green sauces were real tasty and we were given plenty of each. Also got a bowl of the ramen which I was hesitant about. Loaded w meat and noodles. The broth of which I’m debating baptizing my 3 year old in, it was so good. Went from a “hey why not let’s just try it” to lifelong customers.

I have been here about 5 times in the last 2 weeks. I am hooked. I don’t have to go Humbertos at 25th st. for my carne asada fries, roll tacos or carne asada burritos. Some call me a food critic at work since i am always trash talking other places. This just became my spot near home. Anyways the roll tacos 8/10 minus the fact that they dont have alot of guacamole or cheese like at humbertos (#1 im my book) or it would be a 10/10 but still great. The carne asada burritos and surf and turf 10/10. Carne asada fries 9/10. Birria is a 7/10 not impressed i prefer tj birrieria 664.Overall a 9/10 better than the other local spots here.One last thing line can get long and take around 30 minutes i would suggest ordering online. If you are headed to LAX or just want the best Mexican stop here. The ceviche is zesty and fresh - I was so full but kept eating it. The shrimp taco was crunchy with fresh cabbage and sauce. Both I would order again. My husband had the platter with rice beans and tacos. He said the rice is some of the best he has ever had.He said the carne asada and carnitas were both exceptional.I may become a LAX shuttle driver just to eat here when I want.It is the kind of place that you always at once and can’t wait to go back.

My husband ordered the shredded beef taco and it was good. We ordered the cheesy rice, and I was picturing the cheesy rice at Jimboys in Nevada, but this was weird. Overcooked white rice with cotija cheese and what looked like pieces of poblano pepper. I did not like it. Hit and miss, so you try it, and see if you like it!
