One of the best Korean barbecues!! Love the beef stew, soooo good. All the food even the sides is fresh. I love the steamed egg, cooked to perfection.The staff were very friendly and accommodating!

The service we had was absolutely top-notch! It made our whole experience there simply delightful. You know whats even better? The portion sizes were just spot on for our group, so we didnt have any leftovers going to waste. But you know what really stood out? Our server was so attentive and friendly, always there when we needed anything, and making sure we were having a great time. It truly made the whole dining experience feel so special and enjoyable. We were genuinely blown away by how everything came together - the service, the ambiance, and of course, the delicious food! Cant wait to go back there again!

Im giving them 5 Star hereI know I would never give an chain store 5 star but when youre happy with your meal.. I was completely satisfied 😊We arrived at 7 pm on November 1st.2023 ...10 minutes wait just to clear us an table.it was packed already with turn over.most diner were Korean....the table next to us made me feel like I was in an Korean drama... drinking beer shots...I wanted to join them!Thats the great atmosphere..fun 😁The staff as you walk in greeted you with a warm welcome..the waiter staff who BBQ my meat.. were friendly..even they were very busy..all hands on deck..The prime beef they use is an other reason they got an 5 star enjoy it to the max ..Ill definitely be back

Overall really solid Korean BBQ with good pricing. We thought that other locations of baekjeong have a bit better meat as one we got was not marinated enough. Service was spotty at best, but overall this baekjeong is pretty good.

We come here one time each time were in the L.A. area for our short vacations, 5-6 times so far. Food quality is generally consistent, but maybe things are changing. It seemed like the beef wasnt as high quality as on our previous trips, a bit chewy. I still recommend it.

I used to love coming to Baekjeong and even gave them a five-star review on Yelp before. But my visit back in June turned into a nightmare when there was a sharp particle in a corn cheese side dish that severely injured my gum and morale. I was so patient and waited my case to be solved by Baekjeong for the past 4 months, but nothing has been solved as they either ignore my emails or keep making excuses. I am so disappointed in their lack of responsibilities and I am still traumatized by the experience that I had to go through that night at the restaurant. I was being very patient, but apparently being patient doesn’t solve anything as they haven’t solved my case yet until now. I spat out so much blood and one of my morales was partially broken.

Overall,love the meat quality and the service. This is NOT AYCE kbbq so the wait wasnt crazy for Friday night (5-10 mins wait). We ordered Beef Combo (large) for 2 adults and 3 kids (brisket, marinated short ribs and Rib eye steak) and an extra order of Abomasum (for garlic cloves werent cooked through as should)Ban-chan are ok, good but same as others.Total including tax and tips come out to about $208.Will come back, once in a while 😄.

Once you find the cooking kkbq, you cant go back to the AYCE bbq.I was complaining to friend, man if we are paying $30 a person, we shouldnt cook. Someone should cook for us! Then she remember a spot and look it up, we got here!I cant go back to the AYCE because this here is top notch. For 2 ppl, small beef, we were full. Its pricey compared to other places but food does taste fresher and specially service are above other places. Our server was amazing, he cooked all our meat, cut it and changed the grills. Didnt know there were different types of grills. We ordered a combo for two and it was great to taste the different meats. Will order by plate next time. We were served egg and corn cheese which cooked on the side of our grill. Not super kid friendly but they were really accommodating to a toddler and a baby in carseat

Our family loves coming here and been here several times. Ordering a la carte is so much better than all you can eat at times. You get what you pay for because it is more pricy but the quality is so much better.What’s even better is that the server cooks for you! I love all the sides that they offer which is unlimited and the corn cheese and egg that surrounds the grill. The fried rice lunch box is also must. It comes in a tin box that they shake and all the flavors mix so well.This place is always crowded and the parking lot is tight with small spaces. The key is to get there before they open to be one of the first to dine.

Went here for an early dinner midweek to enjoy no wait. We ordered a small beef combo and beef tartar for appetizer. To drink we had some soju to wash down the perfectly cooked beef cuts. This place is great. Lively atmosphere. Periscope extraction fans keep the smoke unnoticeable. Food was great as was the service. We had the small beef/pork combo(for 2 people). So good. The soup that came with the combo was also delish. Very pleasurable experience. Highly recommend trying it out.

Our family enjoy this restaurant, but the staffs are to pushy, seems like theyre trying to rush us to finish our meal so they could serve another table of customers. Our steak got rolling out of the grill, and the waiter just put them back to the grill without asking us! I dont think thats proper!

Best Korean bbq and hefty portions. Was filled to the brim. Staff are also COVID responsible. They take your temperature going in and wear masks. I ordered a bowl and my partner ordered the authentic BBQ experience. The staff grill the meats for you on the grill in front of you and you have a continued supply of side dishes like kimchi or pickled radish. Was a great time and the food was amazing.

Went on late Sunday afternoon and no waiting which was a score and ordered large beef combo($124+tax) and beef tartar(19+tax) for 2 adults and 2 teens.We chose ribeye/short rib/ brisket and the portion seemed kinda small for the price they charge.Beef tartar wasnt like Wow, this is the best but it was alright for something tasted frozen. Def will never order again.Service wasnt bad either but there werent a lot of people dinning in.+ mask isnt required and even some of the servers dont wear mask.

Came to check out this place after a friend invited me to buy me dinner for my birthday. The place was great, the service was top notch and the food was varied and delicious. We were sat outside and the servers gave us the option of grilling the meat for us and then bringing it to our table, which I think makes the whole experience more clean and hygienic, especially during these COVID-19 times. I deducted one star because the prices are truly out of this world, and I guess youd have to check for yourself and see. Maybe the meat is more authentic in this place? Maybe its directly imported from S. Korea? Either way, not a bad place but I wouldnt have gone, had I not been invited. Truly out of a comfortable price range for me (I have the money, I just wouldnt choose to spend it here, when there are cheaper options for seemingly similar quality)

Fantastic service. Pricey menu but it is all about the quality meat and experience. Was served by Devin from wait staff. Devin is very cheerful and helpful. So attentive!Small beef combo came with brisket, plain boneless short rib meat, and marinated boneless short rib meat. The marinated short rib was a bit too sweet. Devin said it is garlic herb but I didnt taste much garlic. It just tasted like fancier bulgogi flavor lol. The combo also came with a soup and he highly recommended the kim chi stew which we were not a fan of. A bit too spicy and it is just soup with kimchi and some bits of pork belly. Bleh. I much rather have had the soy bean paste stew.Beef combo is great for first timers. Combo was $80. Has a little of everything but really just 2 meats and 3rd you can choose your own plus a soup. Next time if I come back, I rather select a meat a la carte. The other stuff seems just fluff.It was a nice experience. Not your typical kbbq where it is AYCE so I appreciated the difference. It is elevated in comparison but I do think it is silly to serve iceberg lettuce when you are promoting quality there lol. Iceberg is definitely not quality lettuce!

Decided to take family here for my birthday dinner, making it my second time. While food was consistent, service really isn’t the best. Not recommended if your planning to do a family celebration thing. They were unwilling to provide knife to cut birthday cake or provide clean plates. They really rush you to get you out but make you wait an hour to get seated. We made the mistake of paying the bill before we were completely done. Service was not the same when I first went there. For the price we spent, would rather go to a elegant restaurant. My experience was more like fast food dining. It wasn’t a great birthday experience for me.

Place is pricey and it’s not your all you can eat Korean bbq spot. It’s a la carte or choose combos. It’s not about quantity here it’s more about quality. The servers cook the food for you and you just enjoy the flavor, food and sides. It is pricey but maybe worth it for a date night or something special otherwise if you are expecting the all you can eat Korean bbq experience you will be disappointed. I gave it 4 stars because the quality of the meat was really good. The experience was different but we still enjoyed it. Marinated short rib meat was the best 👌🏾

This place has got some quality meats and is really best suited for a date or a small group of people. My favorites are the porkbelly or short ribs, but you cant go wrong with the meats.Keep in mind parking is minimal during peak hours and dont expect to leave overwhelming full. This is a pay by plate place and they charge you in full for both meat and service. Everything is cooked for you to a medium rare.Expect to wait about half an hour to an hour and spend at least $40 a person.

I frequent this place when the first open a few years back. The meat quality has gone down but still reasonable. There was a group of 5, we ordered small beef meal plus an order of jowel (pork cheek/jaw). If you havent tried the jowel, its to dir for! Perfect combo of fat and meat!This meal we felt a bit rushed, they cooked our meats so fast that we ate it cold!! I had to ask them to slow down, but they didnt last long. Theres an Irvine location that is opening soon.Overall, service could be better slowing down on through cooking so we wont feel rushed. Meat quality is ok, used to be great.

Limited everything. Not all you can eat and they grill for you. Everything is overpriced. The tables are cleaned but you can still smell the rotten egg lingering as no disinfectants are used. Waiters use gloves but touch every surface, then the food to tables. Didnt pick up our tab so we waited up front another 10 mins for someone to ring us up while every employee just saw us standing there. Very unattentive staff.

The items are pricey but quality is on point. The menu offers delicious dishes of pork, beef to intestines combos. The marinated beef and pork are awesome. Dont worry about how to grill because the staff will help you. Also, this place is squeaky clean compared with other KBBQ places. We walked out without the smell of grilled meat. I love Korean BBQ and this place does not disappoint. From the staff to of course quality of the meat, this location gets top marks all the way around.The nice thing here is they take the time to cook it for you in front of you, so there is little work on your end. Quality has gone downhill, slow service, and price has gone up. We havent been there for four months and we wouldnt come back. We were seated fairly fast for a Sunday. We ordered the small beef almost $80 before tax now. The meat was overly marinated. They also changed their salad to mostly iceberg lettuce. It was also hard to flag someone down to refill sides. The egg was very very dry. It took a while for each meat to be cooked. We waited five minutes in between each with an empty grill no meat cooking. Definitely would not come back. It use to be our favorite spot.

Friendly and helpful service. Fresh ingredients and they cook the meat dishes for you! That was a new experience for me, Im used to cooking my own food. We got a combo that came with brisket, short rib, pork belly and marinated pork; this is in addition to all the sides they serve with the meats and soup. We have been to this place many times and have enjoyed our meals. With the recent inflation and costs here have gone up and quality has gone down. The boneless short rib was very good, but not $55 for 6-8 ounces good. The pork belly was $36 for what looked like 75% of a normal portion size and was dry and just not good. I hope this place makes some changes. If you’re going to charge premium prices, you better have premium meats and really good side dishes, which were also mediocre. For such a nice place and good location, this place needs to rethink things.

Came here with a party of 8 on a Wed night and we had to wait for over an hour and 20 min to be sat. Had to talk them into seating us in an open table because another large party was not leaving and they are a bit short staffed. Once we got sat the food came fast and furious. I liked that they did the cooking, so I could focus on stuffing myself with all the meat and banchan there was to offer. Our server did a great job of getting us anything we needed and asked for and we were a fairly demanding group. I will say it aint cheap, but it was a great time and worth the cost.

Amazing Korean BBQ. Highly recommend their marinated kalbi, kkotsal (flower meat), and their pork jowls (particularly dipped into the melted cheese and corn). Lots of nice little touches like wasabi with the dipping sauce, an amazing ahl-jjim (steamed egg), and a delicious daenjang jigae (fermented soybean soup). Not cheap, not all you can eat, but totally worth it.

This restaurant’s service was spot-on and the food was delicious! Everyone came to us quickly whenever we ordered a new dish. We had the marinated Korean barbecue and some kimchijigae. The Korean barbecue was so soft and moist and it put smiles on all of our faces! Today was a big opportunity to try a few new dishes that we had never heard of before. Our waiter, Ethan, was really quick and kind to us and helped us when we were in need of aid. I really recommend this place and we all enjoyed it because of the amazing food and service. Best Korean barbecue experience ever. Wait staff and service was phenomenal, the food was even better. Our first time here in the waiter explained everything in great detail which made our experience so much more enjoyable. Flavors and quality of the food were top notch. I would recommend coming whether you have experienced Korean barbecue or not. Be sure to get here early for dinner as there’s usually an hour minimum wait time for a table. One star for service only. We were served by a shorter, chubbier asian guy (sorry I dont know his name). The front desk lady and the other staff were nice, but our waiter seemed to want to rush everything. We had a timer because we needed to leave at a certain time but we noticed that he cooked each meat in less than 2 mins each. The grill was literally on fire (like some of the flames were past the grill itself) so the meat was burned on some sides.Our waiter also did not even ask us how we would like our meats cooked. In total he cooked all our meats in less than 10 minutes. He never once made eye contact with us, even when we made requests for things, and seemed very avoidant on approach. We never had our water refilled or asked if we needed anything. We always had to ask for things to get things done.When his hot lady friends came by, he gave them 100% attentive service and was at their table the whole time. But keep in mind, they are traditional Korean restaurant and the server will cook food for you.The old problem is the restaurant is super busy and there are different servers that cook food for you. Covid edition- They currently have outdoor seating which was compliant with the 6 ft apart with mask on for all servers as well as sanitizers and temperature check before being seated. Tables are far apart. Only thing would be nice if they could put individual sanitizers near the table where people are seated otherwise meat is still 🔥 yes its super high quality as always. The food here is pretty good. They use better quality meat than most of their nearby competitors, and they have interesting (if limited) banchan. What really sets them apart, in my opinion, is their service. They have plenty of servers, and as a result none of them has too many tables to handle even when theyre busy (which they always are). You wont have trouble getting your servers attention, and in fact that usually seem to anticipate your needs. They also do most of the work cooking the meat for you. This is probably partly to increase turnover, but it is nice to not have the inevitable one person in your party doing all the work on the grill while everyone else eats.The only drawback is that the wait here can be horrendous and it is on the expensive side. The meat was so chewy and tasteless i couldn’t believe they would charge those prices. Im SHOCKED at the reviews. The patrons must have all been highly intoxicated. Im writing this review 24 hours after dinner here and my stomach is still rumbling with bouts of #3 aka liquid brown.First of all, the seating arrangement is extremely cramped. My entire family is EXTREMELY thin. Im pregnant, but a size 2. We are very tall. The seating layout is perfect for Preschool children. I compared it to 100 year old restraunts in Japan.The variety of side dishes is limited and very unflavorful. The kimchi is sweet and just bland-nasty. Kimchi stew was overly spicy. ALL the beef cuts were terrible and the saturated in High Fructose corn syrup. Which is why the meat cooks way too fast and sticks to the grill. They burn the meat every time. I had to constantly ask for more tea, as the liter bottle they give you isnt enough for 5 adults. The servers are extremely inattentive.When ordering additional meat, it will take longer than 30 minutes. If you order any additional items, they will take 30 minutes and come out cold. The food left me very unsatisfied. I felt like I was hungry the whole time waiting for food.The food tastes nothing like Korean BBQ or traditional Korean food. Food is overpriced for the quality.In the time it took to drive home (8miles), my husband ran into the bathroom with an explosion! It took me 24 hours of feeling TERRIBLE! Now I feel even worse!I would recommend this place to anyone who isnt an alcoholic. Its great for tennis who are short and have a high metabolism. I would definitely or bring any dates. I was here last night and was greeted by a friendly girl. But as soon as I sat down with my company our waiter was really rude. I had asked for an extra plate and he just went to my table and toss it without any word. After that our meal is suppose to come with rice and they didnt notify us before we order and they didnt apologize so instead I asked if we can subtitude since they didnt have the rice that was suppose to come with our meal (include price)Instead they kicked us out and said that I was rude my taping my plate with chops sticks which i never did. It was really difficult to get an employee to notice us. When we did then we would have to ask a couple times for items. We also had to ask for water after 15 minuets of sitting there. The food was pretty good. I wish that I would have known that it was not an all you can eat situation before we went. It was the only time i left a kbbq not full. I thought it was a horrible experience since I paid $130 dollars for the large meat portion and they served my family a very small portion of meat. It was my daughters birthday and they still didnt bring her a piece of dessert to sing her happy birthday after I asked if they did. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Definitely order the Beef Menu or at least the marinated short ribs! They cook everything for you in style, and corn cheese and steamed egg is integrated in the grill. I love that they offer kimchi stew with the package menus and the bowl of thinly sliced green onions and bean sprouts. Expect long waits, even on weekdays, but you can put your number down and explore the other shops in the area. Super fare pricing, never went back to AYCE after what this place offers.

This place is delicious and step above your average Korean Bbq joint. Reason one you dont know what this place is called because the name is in Korean. Yeah I know on google you will find an English version but good luck finding the restaurant because the sign is in korean only. This restaurant is on the corner at the entrance of the plaza near the signal. The sign is in red writing and there is a Korean guy cardboard cutout inside. Reason two you dont have to cook. I dont mind bbq because Im a dude and thats how we do and yes Im calling out the girlie men. For some of my friends that grew up with an Asian mom dont know how to cook so this is the place for you. Dont be ashamed be lucky you live at home not paying rent and have moms cooking. You show still learn to bbq.The quality is better. I really like the marinate on the bulgogi and kalbi. A lot of other Korean bbq places will give you meat similar to the grocery store but if you are paying good money I would expect more. I shared a beef combo in a party of four. Everyone was stuffed but me. Its okay we gotta keep our figure right? You either be like a skinny Korean girl or over eating non Korean girls. You pick. I had the right amount of food but I prefer all you can eat. With a beer and the combo we paid about 28 dollars person. I still prefer shik do rak for 18 dollars but thats just me. Sometimes you got to live a little.The service was good but more about the food. Took a few minutes to get seated. With half the restaurant empty I didnt understand why. Maybe there isnt a formal host. Dont be an Unami Burger and keep me waiting for no reason.I recommend this place if you are sick of all you can eat and you want the best quality. They also change out the grill based on meat type. So standard grill for marinated meat and wired grill for steak. And you get charcoal for extra flavor. This is a close second to Road to Soul in LA. I will not come back here because it in an area I am never around. I usually stick to Irvine, Tustin, and Garden Grove but I will go again if I find myself nearby. I still need to try Gen because I hear its the best but I dont do long waits so maybe someday when the hype dies.

One of the best Korean bbq Ive ever had! They text you when the table is ready, you can walk around to the Korean mart or Daiso while waiting for the table.The whole dining experience was awesome! A bunch of usmet up over the weekend at the Buena Park location of Kang Hodong Baekjeong KBBQ for a post Thanksgiving meal. I have been to the KTown location before so I knew what I was in for. Kang Hodong is one of the best places to KBBQ in SoCal. Chris C. organized the whole thing and we were settled in the back of the restaurant with 2 tables and 4 grills. We arrived before the busy fray of dinnertime customers but were still met with excellent service. We ordered the large beef but received some cuts that were off menu as well. Let me just say that do not come here for AYCE. You wont find it. Everything here is purchased a la carte.They have combinations that are well worth the money and so are the cuts of meat. Its quality over quantity and youll definitely find it here. They have two different types of grill plates along with charcoal in with the gas burner to give the meat a chargrilled aroma. Everything was delicious. We had brisket, boneless short rib, marinated beef, and a few sides brought out. The japchae was steaming hot from the kitchen and oh-so-good. We even tried the beef tatare with Asian pear. That was the best! It was tender and delicious with the pear. I would not have thought to eat it that way but Im a believer now. Our servers were fantastic. Kudos to Isaac and our other servers who I did not catch the names of. The meal was pretty gut-busting but well worth it. I still think the cheesy egg and cheesy corn are weird additions to KBBQ but it makes people happy. Thanks for showing us a good time.

Id seen their original location in LAs ktown and their CRAZY lines so Id always steered clear, but when a friend invited me to this location and mentioned the times werent as bad, I decided to give it a go. We met up there at 8pm with a couple of more friends, and all told, we probably waited about 30 minutes or so, which isnt too bad, but we were all VERY hungry and totally ready to mow by the time we got seated. We decided to get the Beef Combo and the Pork Combo since we were so hungry, but by the meals end we ended up taking much of the pork combo home, because we were that full. They may not be AYCE, but they dont skimp on the portions! They also cook it for you and can cook it to your liking, especially for things like the rib eye. We got the bonus of having one of the managers help out our table, and he gave us some helpful hints, like if we hadnt tried their boneless short ribs (we hadnt) we should really try them. He gave us a few pieces to sample and OH MY GOD--rich, marbled goodness like Id never experienced before. My favorite beef cuts were the brisket and the boneless short rib.We were starting to get pretty full at the end of the Beef Combo, but the Pork Combo was still coming! My favorites from this combo were the spicy pork (which they cook in the kitchen and bring out) and the pork belly--so, so good. Their banchan is good too, and a little different from the traditional places. They give you cut red radish instead of the white ones, and they dont give you the little rice cake sheets. The dip for the cooked meats is a little different too, but they give you like three different kinds of salad and that was really good. The way they do the steamed egg is interesting and different also: instead of bringing it out in a little stone bowl like they do at most other places, they pour the egg mixture from a kettle into curved narrow pans placed along the edge of the grill, letting the egg cook slowly over the course of the meal. I dont know what they put in that egg mixture, but its like Korean Krack, lol. We asked for two helpings of that stuff. At the end of the meal we all agreed that 2 combos for four was a little too much--it wouldve been perfect with six people, we thought. But Im glad we got to sample as many different things as we could!

My family was a biggest fan of kang ho dong, but nowadays when we turn on the tv and we see kang ho dong we just flip the channel.During a previous los angelas trip we wanted to go to kang ho dongs restaurant Baek jung for dinner. After standing in a line for about 20 minutes we finally got seated at a table.The server brought a grill set up ready for cooking some meat. I told the server that we just wanted to order different dishes other than meat. Then he told us that if we dont order meat we have to leave. Once before we went there and had japchae and squid and it was no problem so i dont know when the new rule started. So my mom, myself, and my american boyfriend left the restaurant with great embarrassment. The restaurant was full of customers plus the people in line saw that we were kicked out from the restaurant. Why dont they have a sign thay said non meat eater are not welcome and i would not have my unhealthy mother stand in line for such a long time. My mother really liked baek jungs japchae. My mother who is from the south so she was a biggest fan of him. Since that happened around 2 years ago and now my mom passed away every time i pass by beck jung i think about kang ho dongs beck jung restaurant.

Great place to go if its your first time or hundredth time.They do offer whats called doshirahk it translate to lunch box. We celebrated my grandson s Birthday today.5/3/18. I would give it a better rating, but our original server Peter took off( must have went on break) and another server took his place. And thats when issues started. The replacement server was wearing a black sweat shirt, and he was sweating and sniffling like crazy,, sweat was running down he face, we mention this situation to him, he just smiled( I dont think he unstud us) he left, then came came back again, and started cutting up the meat. This time he was dripping on the bowls under him. We tried to tell him, he just left, later our original server Peter came back, tried to explain what just happen he just smiled, we asked him to replace the contaminated bowls. And whelich he did.We usually go the location in Rowland Heights, I will think twice about coming back.

We all know that the KBBQ food was delicious, but these guys are making it cool again. From the cheesy corn & egg moat surrounding the grill to the prime cuts of meat and the entree options, the food here is fun and interesting. The Thinly sliced brisket (cha dol) is the most popular basic cut. The pride and joy is the Prime boneless short rib (kot sal): just dab a little salt on the short rib and eat it. The tender meat just melts in your mouth as the flavors explode sending your taste buds into euphoria. Not to be overlooked are the stews (both soybean & kimchi), the dongchimi noodles, and the lunch box. They are all fantastic extras.

Average food. The servers cook and cut the meat for you, which takes away from the experience of Korean BBQ. Our particular waiter kept cutting the meat on my end of the table and his elbow was constantly in my face. Probably wont go back.
