So we recently moved from Torrance to the Midwest over a year ago. Im pleased to announce that the food at this particular location is still great. I really love the meat quality. However, I think its under new management because the decor is different and the number of side dishes you get has lessened. We used to get that Korean pancake dish as a side and potato salad, but none of that was present. Also, we used to get more dipping sauce for the meat. I believe the price increased as well. So we got less but we paid more. Im not angry because its still delicious and I will come back anytime Im in the area.

Ordered the mixed $80 beef set. Portion could feed 2-3 pax. It was served with various refillable sides and rice. My favourite was the rice sheets. It included soup and salad. Staff were very attentive and helpful in cooking the meats. The steam egg was awesome 👌 . Over stove ventilation suction was good as I didnt smell of bbq when I left 👏

The main reason this place caught my eye was for the cheese corn and egg on the outer part or the grill. It did not disappoint. The meats were good quality and are sold in combos with two different sizes (small or large) - I got the Hodong’s Favorite Combo in a small & for the size it’s enough for two people. When ordering the combo you also get onions, kimchi, beef brisket soybean paste stew or kimchi stew. They also give you so many other sides to start off with. It was recommended to try the cass beer - refreshing taste to drink with the meats. The service was very good and attentive to cook the meats for you.

It was a fun and delightful experience to have lunch at Badkjeong. We had marinated beef rib and it was amazing. The service was awesome. She knew exactly what she was doing. She was super fast and knowledgeable. Thanks, Heather. Unfortunately, the large intestine was not our favorite. Kimchi chigae was so delicious. I could have finished a bowl of rice just with the kimchi soup. Just need to try it again next time to get used to. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

Came here for the first time with my friends and we all loved it. The food was delicious, the marinate on the meats were very tasty. You don’t have to worry about cooking since the servers take care of that for you. Our server had multiple tables but was still very attentive of us. We enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t mind coming back.

Meat lovers rejoice! Everything was delicious here and the service was top notch. My friends and I came here for lunch on a Sunday and it was not crowded at all. We went through so many types of meat and I can’t pick out a single one that I didn’t like. Our server was also very kind to help us grill, even though the smoke was making him tear up (poor guy). Overall a great KBBQ experience!

The place is amazing and packed. Even though its packed they are fast, efficient and most of all welcoming. The manager came by to say hello and to welcome us. The restaurant has their servers do the cooking that way the food is cooked correctly and to enhance the flavor and the experience. Everyone is professional.

Honestly, it was overpriced. Also our waitress was rude and unpleasant. Anything we ask for, aside from the meat, we kept having to ask for and never received. She burnt our meat, and I was very close to just grabbing the tongs and doing it myself. I know you can grab the meat yourself, but she kept instructing us to not touch it yet. I understand paying more for the food if the service was great. Its a cool concept place, and I may try it again and hope for better service next time, so I will leave it at 3 stars for now.

Awesome food!!! Seafood pancake with a crunch, thats something different, usually its just the veggies, meat n batter. But whatever noodle texture they added on the top, gave it an extra plus plus for me. It was way more than enough food just for the two of us. Lol expect some takeout boxes! Our steam eggs was a little over cooker just a tad, cus normally its still have that moisture and jiggy to it, but this was just ok. Other than that, grills meats was great, customer services was awesome since they keep on checking on you. A++ guys! Keep up the great work!

First time coming to the restaurant, and wait time was fair, order and that is where the issues happen. Order multiple items, and at some point, had 3 different servers. Some items were not serve, and for the price, the servings are not worth the cost.The Loud music made it harder to comunicate with servers, and it was a bit annoying having to speak loud among ourselfs. Waiters were amazing, but felt a bit rush to clear the table. For a party of 4, the servings were not enough.To top it off, we got Kimchi soup, and were unable to serve ourselfes because we were never given spoons. Such a waste.

Got here at 9:30pm. No wait. Food was on the pricier-side, got the Beef Combo S, but it was totally worth it cuz the quality of meat was excellent, and the service was great. The Kimchi soup is hella spicy btw, but you can ask for no serranos. The beef tartar comes frozen and is on the sweeter side, but its strangely good. We also got the kimchi rice w/cheese, but it came bathed in cheese - will pass on that next time.

Very good Korean experience. The side dishes are on the table before you sit. The very specialty side dish I really like is the rice wrap. You can use it to wrap the BBQs along with some of the side dishes, its delicious. We ordered the Beef combo for 7 of us, that has enough food. Oh, dont forget to try the premium pork belly, its really good. It is a busy place so they will rush you out as soon as you are done, understandable. If you want quick seating, go before 6 or youll need to wait. Hihky recommend this place to anyone in the Torrance area.

I’ve been to this location and the location in Korea town and I have to say the Korea town restaurant is my favorite. On the other hand, this location has the cheaper prices. The small meat combo is $70 here and at least $90 in ktown. The sides were different here, ktown having the better of the two. If you have to option got to ktown for the more exciting experience but stay here for the better prices

Great quality sides & meats - this place has the best quality of meat Ive ever had at K bbq and its worth it! We loved our waiter, Julian (he was training and did a terrific job). They cook for you, which is great. Loved the vibe and atmosphere! Got here at 7:30 on a Saturday. They said the wait would be 30-45 min but it was only 20! We got the beef combo with kimchi stew. Some of the beef cuts were too fatty where it was kind of hard to chew.Really like that the servers will cook the meat for you, but it depends on who you get. The first server was really helpful and did a great job and then the second server was really sloppy. The raw meat actually went flying off the grill at one point because she was being careless and working way too fast and it landed on our egg. We didn’t finish the egg after that because we didn’t want to take any chances. Also she cooked the meat too fast and it was uncooked in the middle so we had to ask someone to turn the flame back on and we finished cooking it ourselves.

This is my favorite Korean BBQ place in the South Bay. The meat quality is so much better than the standard all you can eat KBBQ places. What can I say.. Anyone who knows korean food and LA will know to come here. The restaurant is part of a Seoul-based chain run by comedian and former wrestler Kang Ho Dong.There are no reservations so I recommend coming early however as we went on a weekday, there was not your typical line up (thankfully). This is great place to start your night before heading to karaoke or a drinking lounge.We ordered the pork combo but I can tell you it doesnt matter what you order because you will leave satisfied! Being an authentic quality BBQ joint, it lives up to its expectations and the ambiance is what youd expect to have a good time as the servers were very attentive and accommodating.As its located in chapman plaza, parking can get busy so I recommend taking an uber or lyft as Im sure you wont be leaving sober.In my opinion, this place is a must go anytime Im in ktown and I would highly recommend them to any friends visiting!

If possible I would give this place a 0/5 stars. At the start we waited around 30 mins when they said it would only take 20 and there was still no call or text so we decided to go to a different place. On the way there we finally got the text and decided to turn around but they said they would only give us a 4 minute grace period. We were seated and everything was going nice till the food arrived. This place is known for having the servers cook for you. The table that was connected to us had a server cooking for them at all times but for some reason no one would do it for us. We ended up cooking it ourselves and eating it. What made us even more angry was that the lady finally came over to cook our very last cut of meat but as she was cooking ours her eyes only went to the table next to us. Causing our meat to burn. She called a different server over to help the table next to us which enraged us because when we were cooking on our own and she noticed she would just walk by and pretend nothing happened. After we paid we left a 0 dollar tip and as soon as she saw that she walked by slammed our receipt on the table and left without even saying goodbye or thank you for eating here. Honestly I don’t know how they could expect a tip after giving us that horrible service. Don’t plan on coming here ever again.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I came here because it had a ton of good reviews on Google. I’ve also seen it as I was driving past it before. One day I was looking for Korean barbecue and remembered this place I went. The wait was pretty long, about 30 minutes, even though when I got inside there were over 10 tables available. We didn’t get enough service, but what we did get was good. I the food was really expensive. That is my biggest complaint about this place. My second complaint is that the food is hit or miss. There were definitely some dishes that were good, but they were not worth writing home about AT ALL. To make matters worse some of the food was bland compared to other Korean barbecue places that I’ve gone to. The price that I have paid here, I’ve paid elsewhere for all you can eat Korean barbecue. The customer service however, from the manager or head chef, was incredible. He alone made our experience what it was. But again, the food wasn’t that good so I absolutely never will come back. Especially at that price.

The B health rating should tell you everything you need to know. The service was terrible - our server would disappear for long stretches of time while cooking our food, leaving it burning or the grill off. This is a popular KBBQ spot. We usually share the small beef combo and it’s more than enough for 2 people, especially if you refill the side dishes. Good quality meats. I first went there on the 1st week of June to celebrate a friends bday. Customer service was superb and the meats and side dishes were amazing. It was at around 12 noon. I was so impressed that I brought my husband and kid 2 weeks later to celebrate his bday. This was around 1 pm. I was disappointed with the service. There were 2 male servers that time, I recognized the other one from our previous visit. The resto was not full but they were clearing out tables. Our server was the other guy. I have to ask for another plate for my kid, have to ask for drinking water. He left the meats on the grill it almost burned. Maybe too tired and wants to go home? The sides that day were not as good as my first visit. Bottom line, customer service and sides are a hit and miss. Depends on the staff on duty and maybe at the time of day. Price is on the high end, they should at least be consistent on customer service.

I created an account just to let you all know how terrible this place is. Hope this statement shows how disappointed I am. I’m not sure how this has 4 stars. Meat is AYCE level / sub par. I found a leaf bug crawling inside the salad towards the end. Thank god I did not eat that. Service was disappointing. I’m giving the server a benefit of the doubt that it was a long day. However, we should not be served with plastic utensils, missing drinks and rice for 20 minutes, and a forgetful server. Come with extremely low expectations and it still won’t be worth it lmao.

We love to go to Korean BBQ and have tried at least a hundred different restaurants. The service here was abysmal. We came here on a slow Tuesday evening before the dinner rush. The girl at the front desk was very rude and seemed annoyed to greet us when we arrived.Our grill was set so hot that the corn cheese and egg side dishes started burning brown before the meat even came to the table.If you advertise as full service it should be full service. Otherwise we would have had a better meal had we cooked the food ourselves. Our waiter was so hurried and just threw the tongs on the grill after turning the meat. The meat was burned black on one side before the waiter made it back to our table. We sat there awkwardly realizing that there was no way he could cook for us properly and ended up cooking the food ourselves. Not enough staff and poorly trained in service. I felt bad for the couple next to us who seemed less experienced with KBBQ. The meal ended up feeling very rushed.Please beware that not all Baekjeong locations are equal. A few years ago we went to Baekjeong Buena Vista on a Disneyland trip and had a much better experience. At the time we remember asking the waitress about cooking technique and learned that the staff go through extensive training on cooking the meat. We were wowed by her skill and learned a lot watching her cook. This recent visit at Torrance was a huge disappointment. I saw on the website that the restaurant chain is expanding and new locations are opening. Sadly it seems that the quality cannot be maintained with new locations.In total we spent over $200 for two people. For that price, the service we received was unacceptable. There are much better places you can go that are much less expensive.

A friend recommended this K BBQ spot and we had a great experience. We cam at 5:15pm on a Friday with 5 people and had no wait time. Our server explained the process and menu since we had never been there and are not Korean. Everyone is out !! That’s when my temper literally went to level defcom! I yelled at him and said, you want a baby and my wife to sit outside for 15 seconds, just to prove you’re the manager ?? The meat is not refillable and not that much but when you eat it with the sides you get super full. Roomier and cleaner than its Koreatown and Buena Park branches. Staff was friendly and the food quality was top-notch. As a Torrance resident, I am glad we finally have a decent, legitimate KBBQ venue in town.

Ive been to the Ktown location, which Is listed as the Top Korean BBQ places, which i agree. But this location holds the same title. so if you are looking for a top notch Korean BBQ place in the southbay or do not want to make the trip to the heart of Ktown. This is it.

I love this place!!!!! Last time I was there they totally took care of me! The food is amazing, the service is amazing, the people are great, the atmosphere is terrific, and its amazingly closer than Ktown!!!!! Pro tip: Uber there! LOL You will want to drink soju and beer with your food!!!! :D

Not much of a selection new host trainee doesnt like his job they could cook the meat longer not every one likes there meat medium rare...if you dont like what you do get another job go down the street on Sepulveda Blvd much better meats and prices never again with this place its sad to be unpleasant with a meal
