Baldies Cafe in Union City

Over all loved the atmosphere, staff, and cleanliness.. Me and my husband both got steaks and they where cooked perfectly. They where tender and so juicy.. the only thing that I would change is to seasion the steak a little more. But overall I would definitely recommend this place it was great.

This was my 1st time here. The place was packed, but we only had to wait no more than 10 min. The owner, Peter was very polite and gave me future ideas for dinner. The staff are attentive. I had ribeye n eggs with country potatoes. Omg!!!! This ribeye was incredible!!!! Cooked to perfection, medium of course!;)Cant wait to come back. And mind you, my face n head are covered with tattoos, yet the staff was so professional and helpful. Ive been to places where i feel they judge you. So ty Peter, you have excellant staff!!!!

I came here for breakfast with my family. We all were impressed. The restaurant was clean and well-lighted. We were promptly seated. The menu has a good variety. We ordered and received our food quickly. Everything we ordered was exceptional. We will definitely return!

Hearty menu with old school diner vibe. I love this place! The waitresses are always friendly and the staff are quick and attentive. We have only been here for breakfast and lunch, but I’m sure the dinners are just as filling and delicious. I highly recommend Baldie’s!

Restaurant was clean! Bathroom was clean! Good people and good service! Besides burnt garlic bread, food overall was delicious. Love the environment with jazz music!

A little bit of mixed feelings because the people here are fantastic. Everyone is nice and its a really old-school family feel that makes you welcome. Its neighborhood comfort food. Probably wont blow your socks off. Its not innovative or trendy, but its done well with good intent. And honestly, you could do worse than your favorite shirt and cozy jeans.

Cozy little cafe with great service! The portions are really big and they serve quick. You can’t go wrong with the daily specials. I got the Greek chicken, which came with a soup as well!

A small, friendly diner with small, friendly diner vibes. Its perfect. Ive been away from the Bay Area, and I couldnt be happier to see one my favorite places to dine still here. Its all good, whatever you want to order.

Had bad dinner experience today at Baldie’s cafe. The business hour from Yelp and sign of their glass door is dinner till 9pm. Once I walked in the old lady standing at the counter and told me they will close at 8:30 and you need to finish by 8:30. I was like what the heck ?! I was sitting there and waited almost 15 mins and no one come and take order for me. I was thinking how can I finish dinner by 8:30 ? I ordered coke and fresh Veal with Mariana sauce . The sauce was like from canned tomato sauce and meat was not fresh. While I was eating the woman staring at me and I realized she want me to pack the food and go home right away. I was very disappointed about this and she gave me attitude. I definitely will Not go back again!
