Been wanting to try this place for a nice outing while on lunch from work. Walked in, was seated immediately. Was offered a beverage and took my order. My food was hot, it did take a minute to eat but everything was made to order, even the dumplings. The salt and pepper fish & shrimp was really good, although it wasnt cod like usual. I think it was tilapia.. but all in all it was good. Would definitely go back for the lunch special.

First time at Bamboo, tried and liked the Wor Won Ton soup, and a bowl of rice,, nice n big full won tons, fresh snow peas and carrot, tasted like made to order, took 15mins, very fresh, very good 👍cant wait to try the other dishes. Updated 7-14-21, 4th time here now, tried and liked it everything so far, the Mongolian beef, Lemongrass beef, and had to have the Wor wonton soup again and again 😋! updated 01-20-22 delicious garlic noodles!01-21-22 Thai style fish and shrimp hot and sour udon! Oh yeah!04-29-22 Absolutely hooked on the garlic noodles with chicken, been back soo many times now just for that one dish 👍

Disappointed by the food... Sausage fried rice was bland and barely had any sausage. Soup dumplings were stuck together so they broke when you picked them up (and not very tasty). Pork buns had a lot of gristle in them.

Ignore the bad reviews: they come from before the place changed owners. This is the best Chinese food delivery Ive found in Oakland so far.The pesto chow mien was amazing. It sounds weird but its not like Italian basil pesto, its different and delicious. Peppercorn beef was also really good.Good spread of vegetarian options and the meat was good quality too.

First off, I want to say that despite some of the negative reviews I read, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered my food over the phone for pick up as its only a half mile away from me. The lady was helpful with answering my questions about the food. My order was done in 15 minutes, was hot, and absolutely delicious. This is the third restaurant that I have ordered Chinese food from in this area and its by far the best. Will definitely be ordering again.

New ownership and new decor! Much better than the old China Garlic. I had the Garlic Noodles, Sesame Beef, Veggie Pot Stickers and Salt and Pepper Wings. All were perfectly executed; very delicious. I think next time I will try Cilantro Tofu Salad and Peanut Beef! Can’t wait!

I really got excited when I found out there was dim sum on piedmont ave! Sadly, it did not meet any of my expectations. The most of the dim sum was average, but the steamed shrimp dumplings were very fishy and had a strange consistency. The main issue was the fact that the doorbell sensor kept going off throughout our ENTIRE MEAL. The owner refused to turn it off which made the whole experience very unpleasant. Hopefully I will have a better experience here in the future.

I wish that I can give this restaurant a 0 star review. Typically, I do not leave reviews for restaurants but this was absolutely necessary. This is, by far, the worst Chinese food I had in my entire life! All the food that I ordered was lousy, lackluster and not even suitable to eat. After taking only a few bites, I immediately felt sick and had to throw the entire order away. Not authentic Chinese food! We had to fight with you all to get a refund. We regret running across your restaurant in the first place.

Not a promising start for this new location. The food sounded great on paper so we ordered it for lunch. We ordered ahead and were told 15 minutes. We arrive on time and are told an additional 10 minutes. Ok so we take a walk and come back in 15... another 5 minutes were told... now were frustrated but we finally get our food and it looks great. It was some of the most bland and lackluster food Ive eaten. So disappointing because it looked delicious. May try them again eventually once theyre more established. Ill update my review if its better but for now it was a major let down.

I came with my family in a sunday for lunch. The food was good and the service too. We were greeted by the server and seated immediately.there was just one more table busy so we had the restaurant to ourselves. (I believe they just open not sure) We order the following:1. Combination fried rice and the jumbo shrimp fried rice. Both were excellent!! And yummy!2. Honey shrimp was really good sweet and spicy perfection.3. Mongolian beef was great too very nice spicy flavor with onions together with the fried rice 💖 is 💣💣💣4. Wor won ton soup was good too just missing a little tiny bit of salt but it was good wontons all the veggies were great!!5. The crispy noodles were excellent too the texture and flavor awesome, broccoli was delicious!!6. The soup dumplings some were missing soup inside some were not so maybe work on consistency but the filling inside was good i ate like 3!!The portion were perfect for sharing with the family we left super full and even with food for the next day 🙊🙊. Bathrooms were clean! I wish they could play some music but thats just me. Overall the experience was great, this restaurant definitely is in my top 3 of Chinese food together with chef chus is los Altos, and china live in san Francisco. All are great in their own way. I will definitely will come back here. Oh and it was easy to find parking we got a spot right in front.

Have come here twice on a weekday night with a large group and while the staff have been busy handling orders and deliveries, they have always been friendly and very accommodating! Food comes out fast and portions are great for sharing with groups. The team loved the Szechuan chicken both times, but also the stir fried noodles. We will be back again. Price is very reasonable also.

This place is straight bomb.period. just walk in and tell him that you were there or you might get missed but order a dinner special and theyll load you up at 3 solid helpings of some deliciousness with some perfectly priced booze. this is looking at four dollar beers and between 5 and $7 glasses o wine, you cant go wrong. And we had the sweetest little waitress I cant complain about anything. Oh and the outdoor seating is in like a greenhouse with a great atmosphere. Just try it

Food was completely disgusting and inedible, when I called to complain and ask for a refund the so-called owner was much more concerned that I would no longer qualify for free delivery instead of making sure that I was a satisfied customer who just completely wasted $25. My first and last time with this awful place and their sick food. You’ve been warned, this place is horrible, not even for the most desperate in quarantine.

I’ve been coming here for years, bringing my family spending money consistently. Tonight my order was delivered wrong, when I asked for my money to be refunded I was met with a lack of accountability, and hostility. I was told the delivery driver went home for the night and there was nothing that could be done. I brought in the incorrect order, no exchange was offered and the owner didn’t even speak to me. No wonder this place is struggling, three new establishments just popped up next to this place, I’d much rather give them my hard earned money. I will never come here again, ever.

So, I work nearby and I was ordering something for lunch for all my co-workers, a few months ago. I did happen to place my order a little bit late and was really concerned that we wouldnt get the food in time for lunch; however, they really did me a solid and was able to get everything in time for our gathering. Not only that, the food was really delicious and affordable. Im looking forward to going back after work and having a nice meal with my friends and family.

It’s asparagus season - so anything with that is good. The BBQ pork fried rice was old: old rice and old pork. The Mongolian beef - actually had a good sauce but the cuts of beef were not desirable. One step down from the other Chinese restaurant further up.

This Sunday I asked a friend to order for a gathering and I would pay long behold food came smelled funny only after I asked I was told it came from here I only had 3 bits spent $71 dollars and all ended up with FOOD POISONING this place needs to be shut down I called to complain the first thing outta the womans mouth was you need to talk to my insurance company which lets me know this happened on a regular STAY AWAY horrible

The worst Wonton soup I ever had! The Wontons were not round like meatballs they were flat with little meat and the Bok Choy was not cut small it was whole leaf and huge! The Mongolian beef with brocoli was good but brocoli was not chopped small it was big as well! Take the extra step to make the bite smaller! Grew up going to Chinatown and this place blows!

I normally order the large wor wong tong soup and Its usually exceptible. Today I decided to try the sea food soup and not only was I disappointed, I was furious. I had two containers full of broth and all the way on the bottom was a few spoon full of tofu, peas & snow peas, zucchini & mushrooms. These items only occupied the bottom inch of the container and again the rest was broth that had absolutely no flavor basically water. After stirring soup a few time a shrimp floated to the top, Yep a shrimp with tiny rimnets of squid. It was so bland and very disapointing. I feel like my $12 was just took from me.

This place is not the same. I dont know if it changed ownership, but now it is just horrible. I was a customer there for years. They made my order wrong and when I called to complain the lady who answered the phone was not only super rude and unprofessional, she said that after speaking to the chef she determined I was at fault and that if I wanted a replacement it was going to take 3 hours. She also refused to issue me a refund for the the item they cooked wrong. Unbeilievable.

Not my fault your website says it comes with white rice even if it doesnt. No need to be rude and argue with a customer for 10 minutes. Learn respect and listen to your customer. I work at Highland Hospital in the ER and today my coworkers and I decided to order Chinese food for our lunch. We placed an order here online through Eat24 to have delivered to the triage desk and ordered $55.00 worth of food. Well after ordering I get an email from Eat24 stating the delivery driver is waiting outside the door to deliver, Ive been standing at triage since ordering and there is no delivery person in site. I then leave my assignment and walk to the front entrance of the hospital and still no delivery person in site. I then receive another email instructing me to call the restaurant stating that the driver wasnt able to contact me. I immediately call the restaurant to inquire about the food and a Chinese woman gets on the phone and proceeds to scream at me. Not talk, not even yell, literally scream at me. She tells me that she called the phone number listed and waited 5 minutes and I didnt come out quick enough for her so she left and will not be coming back to deliver my food until after 1:00. I explain to her that the number she called is my work phone and that I was most likely on it talking to a patient or another department and that since we paid extra money to have her walk inside the hospital to the ER she should have gotten out of her car and delivered it like she was supposed to. I attempt to give her an additional phone number which she refuses to take down and hangs up on me. Wow, needless to say Im stunned how this has transpired. So I call back and demand that she refund our money or deliver the food like planned. She proceeds to tell me thats shes to busy! And that you might get your food you might not! If you want your food you call after 1:00 and may I come back or maybe not! She then leaves the phone off the hook and walks away so I cannot reply or call back to talk to another person! Luckily I contacted Eat24 and the very nice customer service agent refunded me and my coworkers money and gave us a $5.00 credit to use for our next purchase. Incidentally Eat24s manager had to intervene and is now investigating this incident due to how psychotic this woman was behaving. I do not recommend ordering from this restaurant especially online because once they have your money they will not deliver! Theres a lot of great Chinese restaurants in Oakland and this is not one of them.

Never have I found a place to compare to childhood Chinese restaurant haunt that closed many a year ago. They had the best wor wonton which we got every time we went. Last night we happened to go to this restaurant really hungry after a medical procedure. That bowl of wor wonton was like a bowl of rare nostalgic happiness. the flavor profile is dead on and perfectly balanced. My boyfriends beef broccoli was excellent as well. We will now be going here for our Chinese when in the area.
