2023-09-20 01:00:51San Luis has long suffered from a lack of good Chinese food. No more! The food at Bamboo Bamboo was fresh and flavorful and wasn’t greasy. My wife had the Broccoli Beef and I had the Sweet and Sour Pork, and both dishes were great. The broccoli, carrots, pineapple, and other ingredients were clearly prepared fresh and the sauces weren’t heavy. Service was great and we’ll be back soon and often.

2023-11-06 06:38:35The food is excellent!!! The service is unparalleled. My family has eaten their food twice in a week and will have more soon. I have never witnessed a restaurant and staff go above and beyond like at Bamboo Bamboo. They tailored their dishes to accommodate all my food allergies. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

2023-11-21 15:07:23My Chicken Lo Mein was disappointing because it tasted mostly like garlic. It could have used more vegetables: it had mostly zucchini and a little bean sprouts and some cabbage. However, there was generous chicken breast and the food was served hot.

2023-11-15 19:28:18So glad to have a good American style Chinese food place back in SLO after mandarin gourmet closed. We got a big take out order which came in a lovely fabric reusable takeout bag. The spring rolls are crunchy and tasty even after 20 minutes in the car, nothing super special, but solid. If youre craving pork buns theyll scratch the itch, flavorful but not huge. The main dishes are what really shine. The sweet and sour chicken was tender and flavorful with no gristle and good veg. My kung Pao shrimp had sooo many perfectly cooked plump tail-less deveined shrimp, like a dozen and a half, good spice level lots of sauce, and crispy veg. The side chow mein is a real standout with a super simple awesome sauce on chewy, lovely wheat noodles, so great for $3. The veg fried rice was great and proper and the Sichuan chicken was a couple spice levels higher than Sriracha so not too spicy (theyd probably make it hotter if you insisted). 4 people well fed with enough leftovers for lunch for a little over $100. Looking forward to using it as my go to Chinese takeout, going to have to try the shrimp fried rice next.

2023-09-08 21:43:59We appreciate the quality of the vegetables and the amount of sauce on our orders. The staff smiled when they spoke to us and were attentive to refills of drinks. The tables were nicely spaced apart and the chairs were comfortable.
