Always a good time at Bamboo Cafe. Took my son out to lunch there today for his 21st birthday. He ordered Pho & me & the wife got Bahn Mis. Everything was good. Fast. Fresh. Love the remodel too. More tables & the interior is brighter & more modern.

Food here has always been pretty good but since the pandemic hit, they’ve raised their prices a lot (much like everywhere else) and I don’t feel like the quality matches the price anymore. Egg rolls are always a good choice and the vermicelli noodle bowls are crisp and tasty so if you’re here give them a try, especially their fish option

Im surprised I havent rated this place yet. Broth is always spot on and flavorful, staff is very friendly and attentive, many great selections and the meat is always fresh. Very good pho in Simi Valley.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is so welcoming. They recently remodeled and I was very sad they were closed for far longer than they planned. We had dinner there as soon as they reopened. My favorite item is the pho3 (I belive) the small version of the pho1 which is a mixed beef soup. It has brisket, tripe, tendon, and tenderloin in the most flavorful broth. We also love to get the combination spring rolls with either the beef or pork, both are excellent.

Food is still great after re-opening but the service is terrible now. I went here two times in the last week and both times the service was less than desirable. Both times no one came to take our order we had to get up to ask them to take our order, and it wasn’t super busy. On one occasion we told them we where in a bit of a rush do to lunch time constraints and we still had to get up to get the check and go to the counter to order our boba to go. There where other little things… Make sure you have plenty of time if your going to order in.

What can I say. A gem in Simi. Super clean, super FAST even at peak lunch hour, super nice staff- NO GREASE. This food is so clean and flavorful as you eat it, healthy with tons of flavour. Spacious inside with sports (soccer too!) and nice theme. Just awesome.

Tender meats, savory broth and noodles just right describes the quality at Bamboo cafe. I am thankful to have quality Pho right down the street from work. This place has the best pho in Ventura county. Don’t believe me? Try it yourself! I always get the rare steak (filet mignon pho) and egg rolls. Sooo good. Make sure to use the Vietnamese basil, bean sprouts, Sriracha, and lime.

Been coming here for years. Since my girls were babies. The owner and staff are always friendly. They know us by name and what we order by heart. Weve left messes of rice from when they were babies and they were always welcoming and accommodating. Is one of our favorite go tos in town.

SO good if youre looking for vegetarian and plant-based options! I got the vegetarian pho and vegetarian egg rolls and they were amazing. My kids got the kids meals which came with chicken, rice, and egg rolls. My 1 year old loved it and it was his first time having Vietnamese food. The 5 of us also got a mango boba smoothie to share and we loved it. The kid menu is a bit costly compared to other places, but it was a fun experience and the service was amazing. We will definitely return!

Open canopy available with good seating for couples and families, each table having hand sanitizer. Quick and prompt service from wonderful staff. Fare was Gỏi Cuốn Tôm. A traditional Vietnamese favorite salad roll with steamed shrimp, lettuce, mint, bean sprouts, vermicelli noodles, wrapped in rice paper, served with peanut-hoisin sauce. Cơm Gà Cà Ri. Vietnamese curry with chicken, sweet potato, carrots & coconut milk.All very pleasant and really lived up to its cultural aesthetic. Many thanks to the kitchen and other staff members for providing an excellent service and dining experience. Mmm.... Service was so different today... I wish I can mean it in a good way. I order one plate for me and a side of rice for my daughter. And a drink with boba. The food arrive to the table when I noticed no extra side of rice or the boba on my drink.I didnt say anything I shared the rice with my daughter.When they bring my bill it charged a side of rice a never got and is charging my drink with boba that was made without it. I toll the server all he said is let me fix it and just removed the items I didnt get from the receipt. He never said sorry for not getting my order right the first time. I am disappointed and there was no manager around to talk to.I will think about it before to come back here.

I really wanted to love this place. And really, there is a lot to like. The food is freshly prepared and presented beautifully. The issue I had was much of it tastes the same, using the same fish-style table sauce and similar meat marinades in many different dishes. Many of these dishes are served on a base of either vermicelli or rice. The spring rolls are basically the same vegetable components of the dinner item is wrapped up in a soft spring roll. Now I didnt try the pho which appears to be very popular. And as we left I saw a couple of diners eating what looked to be a large fried half chicken or whole chicken which look very appealing, but I didnt see it on the menu. The appetizer wings were good, wish the portion was bigger. That said, the prices were reasonable overall. Theyre just wasnt enough to make me want to return.

As a vegan and not consuming meat for 10 years my one star review was due to the fact I was serviced meat. Incredibly disappointed since I called ahead to confirm their menu had vegan options and a 45 mins drive.The server was nice about everything who offered to correct the error but I got instantly nauseous and had to threw up in the parking lot.So embarrassing.The purpose of my post was the manger was unavailable not in person or by phone. Due to the fact I suggest this can be a training opportunity for best practices for those with food allergies considering peoples health and well being to be considered to run and effective business.

Went here a few weeks ago and ordered food to-go for my entire family. Waited over 40 minutes for it and they forgot to include one of the meals we ordered. I called them back up and they said their chef forgot to make it and I could either drive back in and pick it up or they could take my name down and I could get it the next time I eat there. I went back in 2 weeks later and they have forgotten about me, could not find my name or information regarding this, and refused to offer the food that I had paid for but never received. They even had the audacity to ask me to prove it to them.. my family will never eat here again. There are better alternatives in the same area.

Food is decent, honestly. The service is less than ideal. Ordered an app for dinner, not hungry, and one to split with wife and she got an entree. My app came first, then the one to split, then her meal. Soon as they took the plates, dropped a check. Did not ask if we wanted anything else, yet not like get out either. This is my favorite Asian restaurant in Simi Valley. It is always clean. They seat you right away. The staff is always keeping an eye on everyone to make sure their water is filled and the food is served promptly. The Pho is very good but I also like several of their other dishes such as lemongrass chicken, chicken wings, beef dishes, etc. I forgot to mention their prices are very reasonable. (low)

My family and I have eaten here several times and I tried quite a few dishes before submitting a review. Everything is fresh and delicious! Beef Pho, Beef Banh Mi, the Filet Mignon platter with fried rice and the Spring Rolls, all delicious. This place is spotless clean, all veggies and presentation are fresh. The staff is very friendly and they pour this delicious water from pitchers with fresh sliced fruit in it. Honestly, I hate to give out the secret and see it get overcrowded but the owner(s) deserves a huge following, they are doing it right there.

Ok, my wife was raised in Vietnam and she says this food is amazing. I have had egg rolls here, sandwiches, pho and rice dishes. It has all been amazing. So much so that when I come here and order food its hard for me to pick what I want because its Sooooo good. They use fresh ingredients in everything. The pho here was good. The sliced beef was very tender, and the broth was delicious. The noodles, however, left something to be desired. They were soggy, like theyd been sitting in the broth too long. The service was passable. The young waiter performed his duties perfunctorily and without joy. But, we did receive our meal quickly. That being said, I think the banh mi sandwiches are by far my favorite; the rice bowls looked and smelled delicious, too.Every time Ive been here the service has been friendly and attentive; its a small place, but weve celebrated several office birthdays there, and the staff always accommodates our parties of 10-12 people. Good price for tasty, fresh Vietnamese food. The service is always fast and friendly. You cant go wrong with the egg rolls, the Tenderloin plate with rice, Chicken or spicy beef Pho, and Grilled Pork or Beef Vermicelli which are our favorites. The Banh Mi sandwiches are good, but sometimes the bread is stale. Also portions can vary. Of course none of this shouldnt deter anyone from going to Bamboo Cafe.

Tonight we ordered two pho meals Online for pick up from Bamboo Cafe. The seafood pho came with 4 shrimp, one small piece of crab meat and 3 of some kind of balls cut in half (not sure what they stared out as but they ended up like cardboard), semi raw noodles, a few bean sprouts and basil. The Pho liquid was ok. The second meal also had semi raw noodles. In these tough times I really want to support local business but expect a half way to decent meal in return.

Ordered an entree and appetizers to eat in restaurant, and ordered a sandwich to-go for my spouse at home. The short of it is that it took an hour after I ate my entree for the to-go sandwich to appear. Not only that, I was given back the someone elses credit card when I paid for my check. The restaurant was not busy, maybe one staff to two or three tables, and yet there was no urgency to make the moment right with me regarding my order.

I dont normally post reviews, except for the off chance that I find something truly terrible or come across a diamond in the rough. Bamboo is the latter. A true diamond amongst a strip mall full of mediocrity... I stumbled upon this place by chance and reading reviews and I cannot tell you how wonderful their pho is. I had the beef bowl, #2 I believe. Their broth is incredible, served with a hearty portion of noodles and a side dish of bean sprouts, lime and other such usual fixings. They hastily provided me with onion upon request and kept my water full. Will return come the opportunity rise, again. 😀😀
