Great service, great food, great overall experience.From the moment I walked in the door I was given an exceptional level of service. All staff members were very friendly. My table was attended to perfectly, drinks were refilled consistently, and all requests were tended to in a timely manner.The food just bolstered this experience even further. Started with the Cream Cheese Wontons and BBQ Pork, both of which had amazing flavor. The wontons were crunchy with a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The BBQ Pork was one of the best Char Siu style pork dishes Ive had. I would keep coming back just to enjoy this dish again and again.My entree was the Mandarin pork lunch special which provided a plentiful amount of food and left me feeling full and satisfied. The soup to start was amazing by itself. That could definitely be worth a return trip by itself. The Mandarin pork and vegetables with abundant sides of fried rice, lo mein noodles, fried wontons and an egg roll presented a variety of great flavors, amazing textures, and one of the best Chinese food experiences Ive ever had.Honestly, there are a lot of places to enjoy Chinese food in Escondido, but this one should definitely be towards the top of any and everybodys list with such great, attentive service and food that is nothing short of amazing! Please try the place out!Highly recommend!

I got the combination platter for $18, and it is quite a value. It includes an entree from a list of 10, soup, noodles,egg roll,chicken wing fish cake, and fried rice.I got the sizchuan pork and the hot and sour soup. Very good. Typical large Chinese food menu with lots of beef chicken pork and lots of other entrees also. Very good service.

I have never had teriyaki chicken with a red sauce poured over it. The sauce appeared to be the same red sauce as a dip for the fried noodles appetizer. There also seemed to be chicken liver and other parts among the dark meat chicken. I bit into a an egg roll whose flavor & consistency made it inedible to me. The noodles with the lunch were tasty.

First time coming here but wont be last. Food was amazing, servers were very attentive and polite, and the vibe was relaxing. The price for the combo plate is amazing considering everything you get. We did not dislike anything we ordered but the Orange chicken, chow mein and hot sour soup were the top notch! Cant wait to visit again and try other items.

From the moment you walk in, your dining experience begins. There are two aquariums with beautiful goldfish in them. The decor is vintage and reminiscent of Chinese restaurants from my youth in New York City.The people working here are warm and friendly. The menu offers both Mandarin and Cantonese style Chinese food. There is something for everyone on this well-thought-out menu Including vegetarian and American options. The two standouts for me were the sizzling rice jubilee and the best cream cheese wontons Ive ever had.We spoke with the owner on the way out. He told us the place has been there for 37 years and its family owned.We will be regulars here. It was a very enjoyable dining experience.By the way, another reviewer stated CANTONESE AND MANDARIN FOOD!!!! Not Chinese! Cantonese and Mandarin ARE both types of Chinese food.

The food has gone downhill in the past few years, which is very sad because Ive been eating here since the 80s. I ordered teriyaki chicken and the sauce was sweet and sour with some soy sauce added, yuck! I brought it back and they replaced it with sweet and sour pork, but the fryer oil needs to be changed.

This is hands down our favorite Chinese food restaurant in Escondido. Every time we come they are incredibly friendly, their pick up timeline is 100% accurate and their pricing cant be beat. The food is delicious, all your favorite things have a ton of the good stuff in them. Fried Rice...tons of egg....gyoza...tons of filling....ask for sweet and sour sauce...well you get the idea. Again, hands down the best in Escondido. I have no problem tipping $25-$40 when I pick it up. Every last bite gets eaten everytime.

Very good. Ordered two combination plates for two people, the mandarin beef and broccoli beef. It was a TON of food. We had four meals from the food we received!I dont know why I did not try this place earlier because the food really was terrific. I had driven by many times and finally placed an order, and I am happy I did. I will definitely order more food in the future.

Very friendly/hospitable. The host set an air tight by our table so a cool breeze was flowing and the white noise was perfect. Very home like feel. The chow mein was perfect, from seasoning to the texture, and most notable, not covered in grease. The egg rolls were fresh yet crispy and the side of fried noodles were the perfect touch. The fried rice was crispy but not dry.Stopped by on the way back from visiting the SD Safari Zoo, will make the 1.5 hr drive again just for the dining experience. Definitely recommend. Best service weve had in a good while.

We were warmly greeted and promptly seated. We were glad to see the menu was also Cantonese. The service was quick and the food was served hot and fresh. We could tell the meats were good quality known by the sight and taste of the pork used in the Mongolian pork. The won ton soup was also very good. When in the area we will always stop here for a really good Chinese dinner.

It is our favorite for Chinese in Escondido.In business for 35 years, they have to be doing something right.Cilantro chicken medium spicy is our go to dish.Great food, good prices, the people are super nice.Had to remove one star for ambiance. The food I tried was very good. The sizzling rice soup was stuffed with nice selection of meats and vegetables. The Szechuan shrimp had a really nice taste. The cilantro chicken was something I never tried before and I wasnt disappointed. Dont be off put by it being next to a liquor store. The wait staff is very friendly and the food was good.

Got delivery during COVD-19. The chicken fried rice was standard good fried rice, the egg rolls were good, but the BBQ duck and walnut shrimp were to die for. The duck was perfectly crispy and not too salty. Really solid place and I highly recommend it.

It has always been my favorite Chinese food restaurant for over 20yrs. Im from Boston where you get great authentic Chinese food. Out here in California they want to put peas and carrots in your fried rice, ugh! But with this restaurant you will get the real deal. Pork fried rice is amazing, huge portions. I really love their Shrimp Szechuan and they ask how much heat you want, so its customized. My kids, who are all adults now still love the Gigi chicken. Which is a better sweet n sour chicken with sesame seeds and a wonderful sauce. All orders are specially made fresh. If you dine in the atmosphere is simple Chinese decor with soup and hot tea included. The fish in the aquarium are a little spooky though, hahaha!

Love this place! I been coming here for over 15 years. I used to live in Escondido and came here often now I moved about 3 citys North even though I have moved away, still worth the drive! love coming here with out the kiddos and take some time off. Really relaxing when almost no kids and or crowded. Love there food and portion size and even thought I cant communicate thats well with staff, I still get my word across just fine and my needs meet. My boys also love and enjoy there food even thought for them its TO-GO :) for this specific location.

Familys been coming here for 8 years and the food is delicious and the ladies who work here are always so pleasant. Recently my family went back but was kicked out before they went in by someMan who works here and yelled at them that it was a family restaurant and they didnt want the kids in the restaurant.Still come here for the orange chicken and bamboo house noodle, really upset that the last time I came here the lady snatched my moms debit card out of her hand because she thought I was going to pay with a gift card when it was actually my Disney debit card. She really didn’t have to snatch it out of her hand and it just seems like they are becoming all of a sudden rude every time we come here.

Quintessential Chinese restaurant straight from my childhood memories.The atmosphere is really cool, the service is so far above par I cant describe it, they heard my kids complaining about being thirsty and had Waters waiting for them at the table. After all that the food turned out to be fantastic, just short of epic. We walked out with two picky eaters with full bellies and their parents were quite happy with our meals.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give the place a rating somewhere between a 5- and 6+, if it were not for the soup my rating would be lower . With this being me and my wife’s first visit that we thought the atmosphere was appropriate, but our opinion soon changed after we were seated. We were served a tea pot (that we were told was tea), but to our shock it was full of something resembling beef or dirty chicken broth, it was also very salty. We sent it back and was brought a new pot which did contain tea. What disappointed us the most is that the waitress wouldn’t fess up and say they made a mistake, throughout the night she kept saying it was some form of tea that was maybe meant for someone else. I think how they handled that was pretty unforgivable... based on just that I won’t go back.So we started with eggrolls and all we got was the standard deep fried cabbage rolls, I felt they were a bit greasy and I don’t know what to say about the sauce they served, which was 100% ketchup. The mustard sauce I requested was good, but the sweet sauce I requested really needed a lot of work, it tasted almost citrus.We split a bowl of wonton soup, it was fairly delicious, but lacked scallions. Our main course was beef with pea pods, which we found to be very salty tasting and lacking in anything memorable (such as a sauce) that would make it stand out from any other similar dish. We also ordered shrimp fried rice, it consisted of brown rice and shrimp, with a sliver of egg and zero scallion. Teamed up with the shrimp it was very salty tasting. Ending on a positive note, our water glasses were kept full of cold water.

Top Notch Experience for a classic Chinese food restaurant! You start out with waters, fresh brewed green tea and wonton sticks with sweet and sour and spicy mustard. They have generous family style dining food options starting at 9.55 a person for the less elaborate but still immensely satisfying meal to 14.55 which is dining like a King/Queen with plenty of options and likely leftovers. The decor is very Chinese traditional with fish tanks and Chinese style wood carved moldings. It surely is an experience that I suggest you try out for yourself but assure you that you wont be disappointed.

A friend took me to this place 10yrs ago and i thought it was good but alot of time passed i was in escondido today with family and decided to try something other than the usuall chain places. we revisited bamboo. the plates they served us were staged as if a professional chef in a high end resturant everything looked perfect and large porportions. the food was prepaired perfectly the chicken was fresh and melted in your mouth seasoning was great, honestly the best dining experience i have had this year too bad they are an hour from our home. a bonus this place was cheap about the same price as panda express. anyone giving this resturant a bad review must be mental. we tipped the server and cook....good job

I arrived at 2:55 used restroom washed hands and sat down. I was asked if I needed a menu, I explained just my regular please. The lady said no lunch for you! I said what? She said you are late! Late for what? Lunch over 3:00. What time is it? It is now 3:04. Im sorry no lunch for you!! I looked around to see if I was being punked by my friends. Are you serious there is no one in the restaurant. Im serious she said no lunch for you! I drove 25 minutes back to my office and had a soda for lunch what a waste of my time.
