The dimsum was great, it was very traditional. The employees were very kind. I think the dinner was not as good as the dimsum.
It was delicious n shared with great company. Long was very helpful n gave us a wonderful dessert. Want to return n try other dishes.
A very good place for a gathering of Cantonese friends. The food are great and very authentic Cantonese style. Not much salty and sweet. Would be a great place for those who likes 清淡
In general, the food is four out of five stars. I can recommend the soup of the day. It is definitely authentic Chinese favor. But the dim sum is only okay. But this is forgivable since they serve them all day, not just at a certain time like other dim sum restaurants.

This restaurant was recently changed ownership. It’s Dim Sum menu was complete because the Dim Sum chief worked previously at Koi Palace and probably has part of the ownership. We visited for weekend lunch and it was great. We visited weekday for Cantonese dinner but the printed menu only had the regular dishes like broccoli beef and etc. The waiter said that menu was in progress. We ended up with good food for dishes not on the menu. One of them was spotty shrimp 花蝦 (live before cooking) lightly seasoned with soy sauce, priced by weight. $28/lb as of 10/25/22. Seafood price fluctuated. Supermarket price is usually around $18/lb so $10 mark up is reasonable. I gave 5 stars because of average price with good quality and services. Nowadays dining out is not cheap.
Omg order the baked pork buns if you want something so close to Tim Ho Wans pork buns. Service was A1. The price is quite high but the menu has a wide array of selections and it was worth it. I enjoyed the dimsum very much.

Food was so so. Service was slow. They do not pay attention to their guests, and even made a mistake giving my take out to someone else. When I asked for the check I was told to wait and they never got back to me.Update: 2 months later. The service definitely improved. Faster and friendlier atmosphere. However, they are not willing to rectify their mistakes they make on your order.

The place is relatively new at the time of this review, as it had its opening on the 7th. Im happy to say that its a place I early anticipate going back to. Of the 5 menu items I had tonight, they were all made exceptionally well. All.Compliments to the chefs. They absolutely deserve high praise. Once I visit two more times to check for consistency and try different items, Ill update the review to contain better details. As for now, I cant wait until next time.
Delicious, freshly made dim sum! However, do not come after 2pm. They dont have the same full menu after. Best to come for lunch around noon.

Was just ok. New opening but was former sports bar and still had they old decor up. Food was just good..kinda bland. Had the ribs, it would have been better without the whipped cream on top. Maybe more of an afterthought rather than some sort of garnish. Was a but expensive so if your on a budget and want a bang for your buck its not here. For a young restaurant they need to get their act together and decide the flavors of their food. Will maybe nice it another chance.
We got delivery and it was soooooo good. The style is American-Asian fusion. The szechuan style spare ribs were TO DIE FOR and arent to be missed. The big boss fried rice was far more than just some fried rice -- everything they add has great texture and flavor. The bbq pork buns showed a lot of promise, but were a little too cold when they arrived. The Mongolian beef was tender and delicious, but plain compared to the other mouthwatering options. Would recommend this place to anyone!
They currently have a 20% discount for takeout. Our favorite dishes were the Chinese broccoli, chicken lettuce wraps and the Peking duck buns. Their XLB although tasty did not have the silky texture with soup that exploded when eaten...though no other places can match Din Tai Fung. Its more like a regular dumpling.The food tasted fresh and flavors were on point. Well be ordering from Bamboo Steamer again when a dim sum craving hits.
Honestly, as a Cantonese, for the dim sum, I think the food is just okay, Ill leave 2 stars, but the services are excellent, so I add one more star on it. Anyway, the espresso ribs are cool!
I love this place, it has the best service and delicious food....highly recommend the bbq fired rice, crab rolls, and Mongolian beef. Everything I got was great...the owner is a delight so friendly, the whole crew makes you feel like family.
Hidden gem in Hayward! Wonderful service with great precautions for Covid. High quality dumplings, generous portions on entrees, and the desserts are must order! I will keep coming back here.

FAR FROM 5 STARSI ordered ice tea they gave me a can of half lemon half ice tea.! Really an Asian restaurant that can’t even brew a cup of ice tea. Food was ok but sign on roof said “dim sum” and could not find any on menu.
We stopped by here on a whim because we happened to be at the auto parts store. Such an amazing find! My boyfriend and I eat a lot of dim sum but this was some of the best we’ve had. Fresh, tasted natural (I don’t get the sense that they use MSG). We got the xiao long bao, shumai, crab egg rolls and Chinese pan seared broccoli. I’m NOT a shumai person but theirs is DELISH. They’re offering 20% off takeout orders during covid, support them so they can stay afloat!!!

Food was amazing. The service was great. Good for small to large groups. Environment is welcoming. There are vegetarian options, I tried most of them, all very well done. Theres something for everyone.

The waiter that was attempting to take my to.go order had never heard of har gow or pork chow fun dim sum. He did know what pork siumai was. As I was glancing at the menu to see if I could find something else, I asked if there were Shanghai dumplings,,(I found.it.on the menu and it said $10. Thats when I said thank you, Ill come back some other time and left. Im sorry but if you are going to call the place a dim sum restaurant, you should have more dim sum.on the menu. Tin pot on Jackson is 100x better.and has better prices. Very disappointed with my first impressions. Maybe im.just spoiled growing up in san francisco.

This place makes the best dumplings and buns including the duck buns, the fried rice is amazing so as all the drinks and desserts on the menu, highly recommended I eat there at least once a week

2023-12-07 23:37:12Really great eating experience. We got a variety of the dim sum options on the menu as well as some noodles and meat dishes. I liked that the restaurant offered both so that you could get a little bit of everything from your dining experience. I was really impressed with their buns, especially the steamed yolk bun which was honestly incredible, and their chicken feet were huge, well spiced, and delicious. The service was really great and prompt. The place has a bar too which actually is such a cool idea to get some dim sum and a drink lol. Will be back.

Their king crab was delicious, the green beans were tasteful and perfectly cooked and the duck was to die for. The only negative was it took a little long for our food to come out but to be fair, we ordered a lot.Definitely worth trying!

The portions are big but a little pricey - we just did not expect that in Hayward, but overall the food quality is good, we enjoyed the food and the service. We would for sure go back next time to try the dim sum.

2023-05-01 04:11:22Im sad I didnt discover this place sooner. I lived in Hayward for a while and this location always had huge turn over of establishments but I think bamboo steamer is here to stay. Their quality of food is there and tasty.I took to go honey walnut shrimp which was crispy good amount of sauce and walnuts. The xio long bao (soup dumpling) was tasty and good texture. The siu mai had good flavor and size.Will surely order there again!

We arrived at 10:30am right when they opened.We were seated quickly and informed the worker that I made reservations via Yelp. We looked at the menu and its not huge and placed our orders.Due to COVID they still serve their food on foam plates and other restaurants are already serving their dishes on regular plates. 2023-10-21 03:06:52Food is not tasty at all comparing to other HongKong style restaurants. The shrimp dumpling filling is awful. Only shrimp plus overwhelmed white pepper. The dim sum contains no soup inside at all. All the food on menu is expensive comparing to its quality. Would not recommend this restaurant.

We ordered a fried shrimp plate with their in home sauce-super flovorful, boss rice, some dumplings and shrimp wonton stuff. All four platers were above and beyond great taste!
