No frills Japanese restaurant. I kind of expected more but got less. I ordered chicken udon and a ito en cold green tea. The udon broth was too intense for my taste. I was completely disappointed by the udon. You can tell from the picture that the sauce is off. Service was ok. They have ample parking in front.

I have been going to this restaurant for 35 years. The food continues to be consistently good. The owner Japanese Chef works in the kitchen . The best tempura for me! I love the salmon sashimi rice! They use chicken without antibiotics. They use good ingredients that’s the reason why chicken tastes so good.

What a gem in our city! This Japanese spot has been running for 38 years with the owners still there.. working and cooking behind the counter. The mini bowl is filling and delicious, I also had their Gyozas & Yakitori which were both good appetizers. Would come back

Great place for take out or dine in. I enjoy their tempura and chicken teriyaki. Nice folks working there. My only minor complaint is that their to-go soft drink cups are very small and there is only one size. Recommended.

My friend and I tried about 4 items and everything was a hit! The curry is on point!! So much flavor without burning your mouth. Good quality, amazing taste. My friend said their curry was just the same as he would get in Japan!Their hot soba was delicious, gyoza, Yakiyori bowl. Everything delicious and flavorful. Prices are really good for the quality and quantity, especially compared to other places

Very disappointed with service and treatment received . I walked into this restaurant thi afternoon. There were two younger personnel standing behind the counter /cashier. I said hi to both of them the first time, but both refused to speak. Therefore, i said hi a second time. both looked at me and still refused to speak. I’m not sure why this form of rudeness had happened that caused an unwelcome feeling. Prior to date I‘ve witnessed the female attendant on another occasion refusing to speak. No harm on my behalf was ever meant to greet them and was just attempting to be cordial or friendly. The food was decent. In no manner do I appreciate rudeness, bad customer service.

Decent food. Friendly staff. Good vibe. I had the seaweed salad and a roll (that had coconut sprinkles) on it. The first half was good but as I ate on I kinda grew sick of them due to the lack of variety. Definitely should go with others so you could order several types.

From the outside, this place wont reveal much, but the food was very good. The tempura batter is light and crispy, the terriyaki is not Soy flavor/salt heavy and the place is nicely decorated.

I love this place! The food is always great, I’ve never been disappointed. The staff is great too. They are quick and efficient. I like the lay out and how they use walls and art to make the space bigger and flow nicely, the ambiance is great! The t.v. Is nice too they typically plays sporting events on it so you can catch turns day night football if you’re grabbing dinner. My favorite dish is the shoyu ramen with egg and chashu. And I enjoy the albacore roll 🤤🤤🤤. I’ve been going here for 6 years or so and will definitely keep going.

Great service, amazing food. Very clean. Went around 6pm on a Wednesday night, no waiting. I had the gyoza and the chicken udon. Both were fantastic. Friend had the spicy Ramen and said it was very spicy, which she was pleasantly surprised about! Happy hour on some items...prices were great with or without happy hour...definitely recommend!

Never knew there was another Japanese Restaurant that I live near. Miso Ramen taste great and sushi was big and good for around $3 for four pieces. The price was reasonable other Japanese restaurants charge more for sushi. Customer Service was nice 😁 Ill be coming back here for the Ramen 😋

Really solid teriyaki. I have had a hard time finding a good spot in LA after having amazing teriyaki in Seattle for a couple years and this place really brought back some great memories. The plates are put together with a lot of attention to detail and the food is great quality and portions. The prices are very reasonable. The service was fast and friendly.

Its hard having kids with food allergies, so we have to be selective when we go out.We came here and my wife explained the allergies to the staff. They did a great job.Space is pretty decent (though I an imagine how filled up it can get when it gets busy). Parking was good, but also shared with neighboring stores, maybe tough when busy.Food was great! Ramen, bowls and chicken on stick for my little one (with the request of no soy sauce).Service was great! Food was hot and brought to our table right away.Price wasnt too bad, but I was happy with the food and service.Overall, a great experience!

I have been going to Teri house for years. It’s a nice stop while in the area. The food is flavorful, well made, and reasonably priced. I’m very glad it has survived the Covid mess. FYI, the calamari is great when you eat it there ( does not fare well in travel) the super bowl is a great deal and all the sushi has always been fresh and flavorful. It’s top five LB teriyaki chicken spot!

My family and I love this place. My dad started bringing me here as a young girl when the restaurant was half the size it is now. You will more often than not see the owners here working alongside their employees. The food is good, atmosphere is nice and staff is friendly. I just started going to this place since moving to Long Beach a few months ago. The food here is good. The cashier with glasses is utterly awesome. Very friendly, courteous, and quite pretty...she is a true highlight of the establishment. This place has been in business for 32 years.

Ive had this little restaurant recommended by many peers but never tried it. Its in a little strip mall near a busy intersection. On this trip I finally joined the group and went along... And was delightfully surprised. I had the Salmon Suriyaki Bowl (which was so good I returned a few days later to have it again): good salmon, crabmeat, julienned vegetables, sticky rice-- so good and nourishing! Portion is just right for a light midday meal. Great value too.

Went on a Tuesday so it was Tempura Tuesday! If you love Tempura its not bad for the price. 2.50 for a mixed set (2 shrimp and 2 vegetable). I also had the shoyu ramen, which was decent for the price (started at 7.95, but got more expensive as you added extras). If I hadnt added pork and egg it might have been lacking and could have used more noodles, but overall it was good. The service was fast and friendly as well.

Bamboo Teri House is amazing! Ive watched it grow and grow over the years. Everything here is delicious. They have multiple specials throughout the day and Tuesdays are the best because of Tempura Tuesdays! Were talking $3 Shrimp Tempura! A rarity these days - an actual Japanese owned (not Korean) Japanese restaurant. The taste and quality of ingredients will also reaffirm this. Originally a fast food Japanese take out place, it has over the years converted itself to a sit-down restaurant with proper selections of Japanese Sakes, among other finer details. Take-out orders however are still very much accepted. Always a good deal on lunch specials!

This is my whole familys official Sushi house, because the food is good and the prices are the best! Its around the corner from my house, but my mom drives all the way across Long Beach (and past the 20+ sushi houses on the way) just to eat here. They have ample parking, and its very accessible from the street. They often participate in First Fridays and do fundraisers.

I liked the food alright, but I felt like I didnt get much of it for the price.updated! I went back again with some different friends who wanted to go here anyway, and tried the curry. The ones that got some variation on the lunch special, as I had last time, pretty much agreed with me. I was smart and tried a different tactic - a curry - and dang. That was some tasty curry, for about the price youd expect for tasty curry. Im quite full now. So the moral of the story is: if youre at all hungry, dont get a lunch special, get a curry.

Love this local Japanese restaurant. The beef sukiyaki is my personal favorite, but have also enjoyed everything else we have tried.The rice is always great - not too dry or moist!. Udon is a semi-occasional love of mine too; the noodles are always SO good. Tempura is also amazing too! I mean, they celebrate it with a whole day of tempera specials: Tuesday.Happy hour used to be selective with a main seleciton of deals and some different specials depending on the day of the week. Now its more normalized with a consistent happy hour menu for each day they have it.

Food was great as usual. Walked in, the counter girl was on a personal phone call and she turned her back to finish the conversation. Moments later she addressed me. I asked questions and placed my order, also asking about tea and was told let me get this in first. I said ok Id like tea. I added miso soup, and salad. Went and sat down. She brought my food and coughed as she walked away. I finished and noticed an Asian female who came and sat down and they brought her hot tea. I thought, where is my damn tea?
