We have been eating here for over 20 years. It has always been a treat! The sweet and sour pork is my favorite. My family loves the beef broccoli and the fried rice is delicious. This is hands down our favorite Chinese Restaurant. We always get take out so I dont have any info about the service but the food is delicious.

Didnt even get a chance to order. Husband was asking her (owner?) Whats the most popular dishes as we wanted to try something new. She just kept saying its all popular. She was extremely rude in her delivery so my husband said never mind and continued to walk out the door when she then tried to kick him out . He was already leaving. Guess we shouldve read reviews first. Apparently looks like this lady has a permanent stick up where the sun dont shine. Wont ever try to give her business again.

Your classic Chinese restaurant, so happy we have this here in town.The restaurant gets 5 stars for what it is. Dont go there thinking youre going to get gluten free, floral infused noddles. You are going to get what you expect from an old classic Chinese restaurant, greasy good food probablyfull of MSG, it was delicious. The lady that helped us (lol) was quick, somewhat soupman-esc (Freinds reference) but nice. To top it off the prices are great! Check out their lunch and dinner specials. 5 well earned stars!

Service can be horrible, they will tell you its 30 minutes for pick up, end up waiting over an hour. Dont dine in if 4 or 5 tables are occupied. They don’t have enough help. The girl with glasses does a good job serving, there’s only one of her. Sad to see the owners dont care if you wait. Their Lucky its the best tasting Chinese food in Gilroy.

4.0 stars what a joke ! Got a family package and since i seen the reviews i thought itd be something nice/ new to eat . Needless to say my fried rice was dark and so greasy. Asked to get no spicy food since i had my kids lolll literally feel like they gave me leftovers of what they werent selling... Super nasty and no flavor . I paid 70 for something i didnt even take home because thats how gross it was . Shouldve just went to chilis . :( NO STARTS on my part .

If you like Panda Express, think 2 levels up. Ive experienced good, decent and poor food at Bamboo V. I think they may use old or burnt oil while cooking their rice.Maderian Gourmet is 3 levels better...Delicious!!

The food may be sweet, but the service is sour...I had trouble figuring out how to order a dinner combo, and the waitress (owner?) was very curt and impatient as she explained it to me. This is the sort of place where you feel like youre inconveniencing the waiters just by breathing. And sorry, I refuse to shrug and chalk this up to cultural differences.Eating at Bamboo Village was a childhood treat 30 years ago. Ill treasure those good times, but will stick to Golden House (friendly and delicious Chinese restaurant in San Jose) instead.

Ordered food for the 1st time here person taking phone ordered RUDE,RUDE,RUDE!!!! Food took longer than 30 min I waited 45min and when I asked how much longer the lady responded to me I cant make promises how long it will take. After waiting patiently for 50 min she finally bring out my order slams it on counter and says your food is here. I then asked for a refund due to her rude attitude she then refuses to refund my money and calls me UGLY multiple times and that I want free food,and Im causing problems.I have never been to a restaurant with a worker so Rude. Finally another worker from the back apologized and refunded me!

I love this place! This is my favorite Chinese food place in all of Gilroy, Morgan Hill and even San Jose. Its very reasonably priced the food always comes out fast and I have always had good experiences with the staff. I know some other reviewers have mentioned before that they dont always get the most pleasurable experience from the staff but the only time I can ever see getting maybe subpar service was one of the swamped.Anyways I always order their combos whether its the lunch or the dinner specials. And I always have plenty of food to take home. Their food is always super hot and Super Fresh and I can honestly say I enjoy most things on their menu. If I were to suggest anything it would be there sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup and potstickers! The potstickers are like none Ive ever had. You should definitely give this place to try its well worth it.

Even though the service can be terrible at times and the restuarant looks like a hole in the wall, the food is pretty good. The honey walnut shrimp is a must every time I eat there. Sadly, they dont do take out anymore from the last time I checked. Overall the place is decent

I’ve been ordering food from this place a few times throughout this year. Food is so-so. The ready time takes longer than what they say. The person who answers the phone is SO RUDE and with Attitude! I would have given them a Zero star. And I am done consuming from this business

The staff is pretty rough with your orders: whether on the phone or in person. But other than that little obstacle, the service is superb and the food is beyond excellent. I have been eating here since I was a little girl.

Food super greasy and I dont recommend anyone coming here. I ordered vegetarian FRIED rice and asked for no egg and they gave me steamed rice with vegetables had no flavor it tasted like they threw water on the rice and added veggies super nasty couldnt eat it and when I complained she told me because they have the fried rice premade with egg and since I asked for no egg they gave me steamed rice... wow didnt even offer to take off bill but that wasnt it I ordered egg rolls and they spilled the sweat and sour sauce on them my kids dont eat them with sauce I still cant believe they gave them to me like that ... we ordered fanta sodas more like 7up with fanta mixed together we returned them NOT WORTH IT DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY they dont have a baby changing table either place is dirty and service sucked they had one waitress for the whole restaurant and to go orders yeah we got the food super separate and some came cold

Bamboo Village has great tasty Chinese food! My opinion they have the best potstickers in Gilroy! There BBQ pork chow mein is delicious too! They have good pricing and lots of food I highly suggest going there and checking it out.

Best Chinese in Gilroy. Wait...this only because Leyons and Dragon Phoenix are long gone. Bamboo Village has (and always has had) very quick service. Good food. Sizzling Rice Soup is good. Sweet & Sour Pork is good. Pot Stickers...yum. Itll never be GREAT. But for gilroy, its very good.

I will never go there again. The worst service ever. I was told my food would be done in 15 minutes and I did not get my until 45 minutes. I was being ignored by the staff and when I finally said I want to cancel my order, they go to the back and go get my food. When I got home I had to reheat my food because it was not hot.
