Pretty solid Thai food. Came here for a late lunch (after 230pm). It didnt seem too crowded. However, the service was noticeably slow. Maybe the staff was new or short staffed this particular day. Not certain. 🤔The food was decently flavored with nice condiments. Ordered the drunken noodles, 7 seafood fried rice, and seafood soup. The soup came out timely. All was seasoned nicely. Liked the spicy condiments.The menu had a decent selection of seafood and veggies. Portion is a nice size. I ordered some food to go as well.The decor was clean, airy, and modern. Would come back again.

The fried rice here is good. The continental fried rice.There are a bunch of different flavors that youll be able to find here. From noodles to meats to rices. Great Thai cuisine with other ethnic flavors.Eggplant is good. The crying pig (funny/sad) name is good. Seafood curry is good.Parking is easy with a private lot but there are a bunch restaurants in the plaza.Service is good here. They remodeled so the inside looks great.Overall: will return for Thai food.

I dont like to leave negative reviews, but i have to be honest. The food, and the place were ok, but the service had a lot to desire. The greeter at the front desk was busy, handling two phones at the same time and it took her about 5mn before we were greeted. When we finally sat down at a table, nobody came to talk to us right away. It wasnt until a few more minutes until a server showed up. They were not even busy. Half of the place was empty. Food took a while to come out. Nobody came to check whether we needed anything during the whole meal. Our water glasses were never refilled. This place has the potential to receive better reviews when they improve their service.

A great place for casual gatherings. They have a wide variety of selections for appetizers, entrees, desserts and coffee/tea with reasonable prices.But there’s not enough servers for the size of place. All the servers look tired and our server did not check back with us once, not even to refill waters.

I will give 4.5 stars for its foods and ambience. The reason for not giving 5 stars because I want to come back to try the traditional Thai Foods in the menu before giving my final decision.I ordered some kind of mixed cuisine meals for my first time and it was great. The seasoned and the sauce were fantastic.Cant wait to come back for another adventure.

First off, this restaurant is amazing. I recommend it 10 out of 10. The food is exceptionally flavorful. The drinks were delicious. Had some Thai tea and coconut drink to start off. We also had the squid fried and the crab nuggets which were devoured by the time I could snap a pic. But I did manage to get a small piece for reference. It was delicious! Then we ordered some Tom kha soup worh sole fish! And Tom yum seafood with a side of continental fried rice and last but not least the crispy salmon cha chee if Im not mistaken. But that salmon omg it was so good and creamy and woth some steam, rice yum! Oh I truly think anyone who comes here will enjoy at least 1 dish! It was busy and so instead of the original egg rolls for appetizers we got the squid. But I didnt complain that sht was good! I would go back there again! And again.

Amazing Thai food place. Great indoor with ample seating available perfectly maintaining social distancing. Good hospitality and the pricing is very reasonable. My recommendations would be pad Thai, Pad see ew and their spicy minced chicken with mint and rice.The restaurant is inside a complex hence finding parking won’t be an issue.Asian food lovers should definitely try this place.

I’m 1/2 thai so trust me this place is awesome!Best thai food I’ve had in a while. Great flavors and even better prices.Everything was perfectly in balance: salty sour, sweet, spicy and crunchy!The house dom yum was to die for! It had ground pork, sliced pork, crispy wonton, soft look fun noodles, chili, lime, and even the dried sliced turnips you use in pad Thai. And guess what??? It was $9 for a massive bowl.Wow 😮Added the check in here to show you how affordable it was. I got 6 dishes for $60.

Came around 8:30pm for Dinner. Wait was about 21 min. with about 8 Parties ahead of us, after Signing In on the Wait List pad.It was pretty cool. Enter your name into the Pad and Phone Number and they send you a text when your table is ready. It also connects to your YELP App but, theres sometimes a delay on letting one know each time a Party who came before you gets a seat on the App.Sometimes the notification chimed with a sound, not always.So the place is very clean and has a cool Asian/ Japanese/ Chinese/ South East Asian/ Modern decor.Staff was very busy. I believe it the pretty Host even came to Bus, Clean and Bring Drinks to Tables. Servers always busy and trying to do their jobs.If they werent busy, Im sure they would have been more attentive than they were and worked for their Tips and we tipped them handsomely.Prices are very reasonable for the quality and deliciousness of their amazing food. This place is definitely a gem of a place for Thai Food. You aint going to find anything better in the area that wont cost you an arm & a leg in prices.I was Satisfied with what I paid for such a great Dinner.Our Food came out rather quickly and tasted superb! Great food with reasonable price. The amount of food is acceptable with the price too. The staffs are always busy but they are nice and helpful. However, the hot pot is not worth. Be prepared to wait for long time if you come at dinner or lunch time.

I ordered Tom-Ka-Gai (Coconut Chicken), I think I was served chicken butt (see my posted photos). Looks like parts of the chicken that a kitchen would discard and make sausages with. Ended up eating only the veggies and broth. By the way, the broth taste was off, Im Thai I would know! But it doesnt taste so bad and the color was close. You might get slices of chicken with your luck, not with mine. The staff were friendly and good looking is why the 3 stars. Still tipped over 20% cash.

I had the pad see ew and it was just mediocre. Also I had the Thai coffee and it was small and unimpressive. I was hoping for more of an authentic taste, perhaps with stronger flavor profile. This place just felt safe. Id only come here again if nothing else is open in the plaza. Ive had better and cheaper Thai food elsewhere.

Amazing food for an amazing price!! We got the fried squid, house tom yum, pad kee mao, Thai fried rice, mango sticky rice, 2 Thai iced teas, and a Coke. All for under $60. Portions, including drinks, are large and everything tasted high quality. The biggest bang for your buck Thai restaurant Ive ever been to. Wait staff is also very friendly and eager to help.

I love Banana Bay for many reasons, the main reason being the quality and price of the food. If you go to any restaurant, youll end up paying about $20 per person, but here, meals cost between $10-$15 per person. The food has always tasted good and the serving sizes are pretty large.It can get pretty busy after 7, so be prepared to wait in line for at least 30 minutes. Thankfully you can kill time by shopping around at the TJ Maxx or Daiso in the plaza.

Stumbled upon this place with my out-of-town guest and had a really nice experience with it. We didnt come with a lot of expectation and ended up really like the food here. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, Thai BBQ chicken and tom yum noodle soup. After the meal, we had room for dessert and ordered Thai tea creme brûlée and banana rolls. Everything was delicious and my friends were happy. I will definitely come back here again. Parking was not a problem for us and the service was quite friendly.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant!!It is a super authentic Thai restaurant with flavors that always meet your expectations.I’ve been here about 5 times now and each time the quality is great. The only thing lacking is their service. We always eat outside because we have our dog with us. I’m not sure if that’s why, but they never check on our table.But it’s okay because their food makes up for it. Their spice level isn’t as spicy as I’d want. Usually, a medium would have a kick (papaya salad, for example) but I could’ve gone more spicy here.Their mint ground beef (add bamboo and green beans), Kai yang and moo yang are a few of my faves!

I was so disappointed with the quality & authenticity of Thai food here! This site rated this restaurant 4 star 1/2 but to me it was only worth 2 stars! I have been traveling to Thailand twice (4/2019 & 3/2023 recently. For these 2 trips, I stayed at Bangkok total 9 nights, Phuket 3 nights & Koh Samui 2 nights & also traveled to Ayutthaya for one day. I ate Thai foods at many well-known night markets, good Thai restaurants & stayed at resort in Karon Beach, Phuket and Phuket historic town. The Thai foods served here today were not flavorful, very bland, & didn’t seem to be authentic to me!!! I ordered Tom Yum, Pineapple Fried Rice & Sticky Rice with mango, all for me & my husband. The soup didn’t have Tom Yum flavor, very bland (good that it was not salty though) & kind of not hot enough to be good! Pineapple Fried Rice was not good either! And sticky rice was not good in the rice, not flavored by natural coconut condensed milk. Only positive things were portions were pretty generous, & prices were affordable. Probably that was why this place might be satisfying to diners who would like their stomach to be full with affordable price but a total disappointment to people who expect some quality food and authentic Thai. Service was not attentive & servers & waitresses were not friendly.

This is the only Thai restaurant opens for outdoor dining in the San Gabriel Valley. Lunch special dishes are good value. For under $10, you can get your favorite Thai dish here. For a couple of bucks more, You can get a combination for lunch with a main dish, a drink and an appetizer.Our usual Thai dishes to order here are pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Tom Yum soup noodle and Mango Sweet rice. The flavors of these dishes are very authentic and genuine. The portion is average. Service here is not too bad considered the COVID-19 situation.Take out orders here are very popular. We saw a long line for take out while we were dining here today. Hence, it’s bit hard to get the attention of the waiters as they have only two waiters working there during lunch time.For drinks, order their Thai ice tea and cold fresh coconut to quench your thirst with these hot California days.Outdoor seatings are plenty which occupied most of the parking spaces in front of the restaurant.

Ive been to the one with live bands, Sports cast, Snacks, X rated drinks hello, and had a few dishes. There is mirth in such atmosphere as here that evokes the tropics, sipping a drink, an exotic oasis in the middle of Temple City or Colima, under Banana Trees, swinging on vines and dancing away like a monkey which I did do with free abandon. Service here is great when others are closed, so Im thankful that they tend us with mutual beneficial customers in mind. With decor as festive, where you can bring minors, its a great family outing, date night out, for any occasion.

Crispy Salmon Choo Chee: Salty, thin piece of fish covered with strong sauce…sent it back. Not at all like it was pictured in menu!Pad Se Ew: Everything was Gray, cooked in dirty pan. Even eggs were gray! Manager said, “That’s the way we cook it.”Rad Na Noodles: My all time FAV! Horrible. Beef looked boiled and was tasteless, sauce was extremely salty, with one sprig of Chinese Broccoli. So glad this one opened closer to my parents house. Now I know whenever Im in LA visiting, we can stop by and enjoy some Thai food. They have lunch specials and the Thai Iced Tea is only a $1 during lunch! Thats amazing! I started eating before remembering to take pics of each dish. It was all so good. I got my cravings fulfilled. You can never go wrong with meat, spicy sauce, and sticky rice. The crying tiger is amazing and the namtok pork salad was great! The only thing.. I wish they had Nam Khao Tod salad like the other Banana Bay does. Love that dish! Service was great, very friendly. Very pretty interior decor. Bathrooms were clean!

Love eating here! The waitresses are all so sweet and the lunch specials are yummy, reasonable priced, and good portions. The atmosphere is positive and I really enjoy the service. My friends from work took me here for my birthday lunch last week. Parking in this plaza is a bit of a nightmare. Service was a bit slow at the beginning and we sat at our table ready to order and trying to call someone over. It took a while to figure out who our server was. The interior is bright, spacious and modern.We decided to go family style so we could all share and try multiple dishes. We ordered from both the lunch and regular menu.Ordered: Pad See Ew, Pad Thai with chicken, Chicken Curry, Thai Jerky (beef), Eggplant Mint Leaves, Broccoli Gravy Sauce (w/ mushrooms & tofu) and Mango Sweet Sticky Rice for dessert.Once we ordered, the food didnt take that long to come up and service started to improve. The food itself was really good and had lots of flavor. Their Pad See Ew was a bit on the sweeter side. Some of the jerky was a bit tough to bite through. They refilled our teas with hot water frequently, took plates away, and even gave us extra paper plates/utensils for the cake one of my friends brought. Overall, left the restaurant content and satisfied. ;)

I ordered the spicy fried rice w beef. A good portion (had leftovers). Make sure to ask for the sauces if you ordered to go, and wanna mention that the chili oil was a great addition to the rice. It was actually spicy and I enjoyed it. Has to be best fried rice ive had in a long time. I ordered my thai ice tea without ice and it was not filled all the way. However i was pleasantly surprised that the sweetness was just right for me, and ordering without ice is great since flavor wont be altered if it were to have ice and melt. Definitely will go again and recommend to friends :)

Review is only on the food I ordered NOT the restaurant. The restaurant is clean and the service good. They do get pretty busy place.Onto the review about the dish I ordered: yellow chicken curry. I wasnt expecting the curry to be so watery in texture. It would be more appropriate to call it yellow chicken curry broth, if that makes sense. They should add or maybe add more coconut milk to make it flavorful.On a good note: Fried squid is yummy.Would I go back? Yes, but I wont order their yellow chicken curry though. I did see a crispy Hainan chicken dish that looks delicious. Ill probably try that next time.

This is my go to place for weekday lunch specials, with 99 cents Thai Ice Tea or Coffee. The lunch specials taste great. The layout of the restaurant and its high ceilings give it an airy spacious feel. It is quite comfortable to sit and enjoy your meals. I think it is better than the Banana Bay in Rowland Heights.

Good quality food and great prices, but needs to improve on ordering system for pickup. Waiter put me on hold when I called in and I waited almost 20 minutes and still haven’t gotten to ordering my food. Online ordering system doesn’t reflect lunch specials, so phone orders are the only option. It would be great if they would just take the order on the phone after they have the customer on hold for less than 10 minutes instead of having them wait 20 minutes to order and another 20 minutes minimum for the food to be made.

There is no better Thai restaurant! Absolutely love this establishment. There is a reason why they are always and consistently busy. The level of service and food is legit and always on point. But on the off chance you have an issue they gladly fix any issue you may have. If you have the chance the lunch specials with There 1.50 thai tea/coffee is a steal in this economy. This place has good food, its just that they need to make time for the people that are already seated instead of running around trying to sit new customers. i was there last Tuesday for a graduation dinner and we had ordered a few items and we started eating. 30 minutes past and we still didnt have a full meal. when we were done the guy comes back and gives us the check and charged us for a full meal even thought we didnt receive like 2 items, but he was nice and respectfull and he apologized for over charging. i do recomend this place just not when its packed.

The best best best best Thai food in California! Ive yet to find anywhere from Northern California, the bay area or SoCal that could even be good enough as Banana Bay. I had Green curry which is ok, does not stand out too much but all the other food items, Papaya Salad, crying pig, fried squid are amazing. Recommend salted fish fried rice if you are looking for a unique experience. The pungent umami flavor of the salted really makes it a uniquely amazing dish.Service is attentive, they have a new type of service buttons with 3 options, call server, ask for check, and cancel which makes it very convenient.Atmosphere reminds me of eating at a hotel lobby hahaha, take that opinion as you will.The price of the food is also very cheap compared to typical Thai food restaurants. Wow, have I been missing out!When they were still doing outdoor dining, my friend and I stopped by for a quick late-night meal right before they closed. Food was tasty, service was good, and we were in and out in under thirty minutes.Tried the House Tom Yum noodle soup ($8.99) which came in a pretty large bowl with a ton of ingredients. Besides the fried wonton chip, there was ground pork, peanuts, fish balls, fish cake, etc. with enough rice noodle to feed two people. Flavor of the soup was on point and had a good acidity to it.And of course, had to try their mango sweet sticky rice ($7.99). This is a seasonal dessert, and if youre able to order it while its in season, definitely do because it was super delicious! Im not a big sticky rice fan, but I thought the flavors were good and not too sweet. Pair that with the super ripe and sweet mango and youll have magic in your mouth!After that visit, we came back a few weeks later to order take-out. Had to try the popular Crispy Hainan Chicken rice ($9.49). Wow, I can see why so many people like this dish! The chicken was not only tasty, but super crispy and flavorful. While there were a few parts of the chicken that were a little fat, I was able to easily cut that off and continue eating. If youre a fan of crispy chicken (fried chicken for that matter), youll likely enjoy this dish as well. The sauce that comes with it is the perfect match with the rice and chicken. And its offered as one of the lunch specials on weekdays if you want to pair it with soup and salad.Theyre located in the TJ Maxx plaza - plenty of parking but some days you might have to drive around or park at a further spot. I love how they introduced lunch specials because theirs so much competition these days from surrounding restaurants in Temple City. Their lunch specials arent that bad either and for an extra $1, you can get their Thai Iced Tea with your lunch. If Im not mistaken, they have lunch specials all week but dinner is just the regular menu. If you do end up here, request to sit at a booth because I find their regular tables to be very uncomfortable because the chair is either too low or the table is too high.

Ive only been here once. I was with 4 other people. Three of us ordered pad tai. The other ordered a grilled chicken plate. The grilled chicken came out first, and the rest of our plates came out 20 minutes after. My friend was trying to be polite and wait, but we insisted he start eating before his food gets any colder. Overall, it took 35 minutes from order to table. We had to rush to eat because we had to get back to work. They also messed up one of our plates so she had to wait another 10 minutes to get her food.
