I absolutely love trying Thai food wherever I travel in the States, and this restaurant won me over with every single bite! Their dishes are genuinely authentic street food, incredibly tasty, served in generous portions, and all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

If we were passing through Bakersfield again I’d definitely want to come back. Sad that the 2 of us couldn’t order more dishes.Small space, but wonderfully prompt and efficient host/ server.The squid laarb was so perfect, limy and spicy and aromatic; the cooked squid had the perfect bounce and bite.Eggplant with crisp, golden tofu and sautéed veggies rounded out our meal; these two were also perfectly done, the eggplant meltingly silky but with its shape/ form; sauce pleasantly sweet without being cloying. Sautéed veggies had Nameko (beech) mushrooms and were so comforting after a month of food on the road.

This place has great food, soups and drinks.Their Tom yum soup is our favorite go to along with the stuffed wantons, salt & pepper fish and chicken pad thai. I highly recommend the stuffed wantons.I’m glad we found this hole in the wall.Definitely our go to spot.

Upon walking in ambience is nice, greeted right away, seated and given menus. Food came out quickly and efficiently! Our waitress answered our questions and had a toddler friendly option. We ordered drunken noodles, spring rolls, and pad Thai. Everything literally was delicious. I have 0 complaints about this place.

I was lucky to have stumbled upon this restaurant. Everything we ordered was so delicious! I am not familiar with this area but definitely did not expect to find any good Thai food (or any Asian food) here. We ordered pad-see-ew, pineapple fried rice, eggplants, chicken satay, tom kha soup, and mango sticky rice. I cannot decide which was my favorite because they were all cooked so well. I would definitely come back again next time Im in the area.

Was craving Tom yum soup and saw the reviews so we decided to try it. Together we rate this place a 4.5 overall. The chicken saytay was delicious and the sauce was excellent despite the negative reviews I saw. Loved the atmosphere. Disappointed on the Tom yum but had not only high expectations but a high bar due to my love of thia kitchens Tom yum. Will return to try it veggie style as well as the duck. The gf loved the banana puff and we both enjoyed our smoothies!

Will def. go again. Appetizers, we got the Chicken Satay (perfectly cooked, seasoned just right, and sauces on the side were flavorful), I got the Shrimp Soup with Vermicelli (for me, added Hoisen, Chili Sauce, & lime). All was washed down with their Tai Tea w/boba. My man got the Chicken Green Curry (spicy but an explosion of flavor).

It was my first time eating here and I was amazed on how well the food tasted! There ice tea was delicious too. Shout out to the cooks and the 1 server who greeted people, led them to their table with menus, took there orders, delivered there orders, billed the order and cleaned up. She was very busy and with all that happening, she still had a pleasant attitude!

Holy moley, this place was amazing. We were driving from death valley to yosemite and wanted something yummy but close to the highway. I AM SO GLAD THAT WE FOUND THIS PLACE. The flavors were amazing. We had the pork jerky and the tamarind sauce was to die-for.Also had the pad mee and Bangkok pad thai. Great portions and flawless flavor.I wish we lived in the area just to eat here.GO AND TRY IT!

Quick and correct. They could improve the consistency of their spice level. Two items ordered with the same spice level had different end products.This time the spice level was better. More consistent across dishes. The owner can be a little more friendly, too stressed and scolding employees.

Food was good, service was a little slow, and the food portions were on a bit smaller side. The waitress forgot a couple of things we requested, but thats not entirely her fault as she was the only person in the hall serving multiple tables. We usually go to Thai House which in my opinion is the best in town. But this place isnt bad at all. Id probably try them again in the future.

If you want Thai food this is the right place. They gatekeep the actual hot sauce which I really enjoy, so if you feel your food lacks that authentic Thai kick, then just ask and theyll bring out their hard hitters ranging from sour hotness, all the way to hellish red hot. Its not a disgusting spiciness/hotness like ghost pepper sauces. Its a belly full of fire type of hot that will MESS YOU UP, but taste so delicious at the same time.Even with my iron belly I felt it for a few days, which was a nice change of pace from cheap out hot sauce. Only real problem I had was pricing for some items which is why its not a perfect star. Will definitely come again, and maybe on my own next time. Its that good.

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. My go to is the drunken noodles with tofu and the green curry with tofu. They are delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant is kept clean.

Normally, I like to cook at home, but was not feeling up to doing it this evening as I was tired. Ordered some Tom Kha soup along with some fried rice. Fried rice was good for takeout fried rice, but had some issue with the soup. It’s edible but out of balance with a slight strong fish sauce taste to it. Also, they left whole leaves of basil, as well as inch long shards of lemongrass, and galangal which are fibrous and difficult to eat. These are normally taken out at the end of the cooking prior to presenting, but they chose to leave them all in. No one wants to have to spit out food into their hand because it’s not edible. Also, I asked for spicy and I couldn’t taste any heat at all in my soup. Maybe I’m too tolerant, and their idea of spice is different from mine. Other than being a little sweet for my taste, which I also find often in their pad Thai. It was an acceptable soup minus the bits that should’ve been taken out.

#1 Thai food restaurant to go eat at.There’s a reason this restaurant was in the newspaper.Every time my wife and I go here, we leave with our stomachs happy.The flavors of the dishes make us salivate just sitting there. We get the same Tom Yum seafood hot pot and it’s delicious. Every. Single. Time.There’s never been a disappointment in this place. My fiancé and I will forever go here and bring our kids, and our kids will bring their kids.10/10. 5 stars.

The ladies here are very friendly and will happily offer information about their menu items to help you choose the meal you want. The food is cooked fresh, so there is a little wait. But it is worth the wait. Their restaurant has a cool atmosphere. The food is great! The veggie egg rolls are served with sweet and sour sauce that is delicious, and the yellow curry is very good. Tasty but not overwhelming. I do recommend stopping by to give them a try.

Authentic Thai food, that I can vouch for as a half Thai. Tastes just like my mom made it. Service was excellent!!!! Everytime my water was empty it was only empty for 30 seconds and the server came and filled it up. I wat eating som tam (papaya salad) so my water was gone fast! Our food came very quick like 15 minutes max I believe.

My wife and I had a terrible experience here. We ordered food and waited for its arrival. While waiting; 2 other couples had arrived and seated. Still waiting for our food, we noticed that other people’s food had arrived before ours. We asked our waitress what was going on! She said that the ticket for the order was lost inside the kitchen. What really happen was she forgot to turn in the ticket to the cook. We had been waiting over 35 minutes already. She should have been honest about her mistake. She didn’t offer an Apology or a Free appetizer! She said the food would be out in about 5 minutes. We waited an additional 10 minutes. No food! We walked out! We will never return!

Finally starting to turn to fall and comfort food time and just did not feel like making dinner. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food here. The chicken satay had the right amount and char and the rich peanut sauce was balanced with the pickled vegetables. The papaya salad was refreshing with the right amount of heat (ordered medium). Same with the drunken noodles with beef really enjoyed the texture of the noodles with the perfect amount of heat. Will definitely come back.

Not sure if it was cooked in a pan that had just been used for some kind of fish, but would get some bites with strong fish taste. Now i like fish, but not the tadte in something i didnt order it in. We recently came here for the first time. As a family of 4 that all eat differently, there were delicious options for all of us. My vegan husband had lots to choose from and really enjoyed the Pho. They have the best fried rice! The seafood Pho was also amazing! I would recommend this place as there is something for everyone and the food and service is quick and awesome!

Solid food and great service. Have only had to-go but has always been solid. Pad Thai is solid and equally good the next day. They crispy tofu makes the dish pop. The green curry shrimp is good but could have a used maybe a couple more shrimp. Always go for the pork jerky which is a tasty app - we always add some peanut sauce for more flavor.

I had the yellow curry and fried banana puff for dessert. I also had a few bites of my girlfriends peanut chicken. Both were very flavorful and had a perfect amount of heat (spice). The dessert was flaky and had a honey drizzle served with whipped cream on the side. I left very full and pleased with my experience. If you enjoy Thai dining, this is a small but nice atmosphere. We will be returning again to try more of the dishes.

Bangkok Street Food was recommended to me as unique restaurant in Bakersfield to try out. And it really was a good choice.The inside is quite comfortable, but the restaurant and location lend to a more order and go feel. There are 15 tables so about 30 people can sit comfortably inside the restaurant. It feels almost like eating at your grandmas house: cozy and relaxing, and waiting for some really good food.Being a Thai restaurant, there is one dish you can use to compare restaurants: Drunken Noodles. This place hits all the right notes: spicy chili, minty basil, juicy meat. The noodles did clump together, but it kind of made it a bit easier to eat. Maybe it was the atmosphere, but I found myself enjoying this place a lot more than Chefs Choice Downtown.It might be a bit hard to get a parking spot here, but you can just as easily order for pick up. This is definitely a place to try.

I was reccomeded by a friend and holy wow am I glad I followed through. I ordered the yellow curry with pork and rice and the dumplings (fried). I was a bit concerned that the dumplings were going to be over fried and they werent, still soft with a bit of crunch.Now for the curry; Im actually still eating it as I type this review! It is so good that I just had to stop and express how amazing this is. Theres a bit of sweetness and an underlying spice level to it that may not be noticeable at first, but its there. The curry includes onions and potatoes and whatever meat you choose but, while both of those ingredients dont really add to the overall flavor, it does help it to become a heartier meal.I will definitely be ordering from here again soon and often, you guys have a fan.

We have no idea why this place is not overly crowded. Its really hard to find authentic and good tasting Asian food in a small City like bakersfield. But alas we have found it! The Thai food restaurant is a place to make a destination on your travels or if youre a local you should certainly take time to come here yourself. You have not ever experienced spice until you have tried any of their spicy food. For a spice lover my spouse had the medium and was about in tears! We love to the vibe that the restaurant itself procured from the declarations and the music going on in the background. Once again very surprised that we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. They had quite a few takeout orders coming in. Our service was actually very quick, he believed this is because they put their sit down customers above takeout customers. This is something to value in todays restaurant industry. We hate it when we have to go into a restaurant and sit there for 2 hours when the takeout would have only taken 15 minutes. The service was above par with the friendly staff who was not overbearing.

This is my go-to Thai restaurant since I moved to Bakersfield. My favorite here is pork jerky with sticky rice (the dipping sauce is so good), Thai chicken salad, chicken coconut soup, and papaya salad. I stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for an authentic Thai food and the name caught my eyes.

This is definitely my favorite Thai restaurant in town. The standard Thai dishes I usually order, such as Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Drunken Noodles are on par with some other Thai places in Bakersfield, however, what really sets this place apart is some of their more unique dishes. The Bangkok Pad Thai is amazingly delicious and different from the standard Pad Thai. It focuses more on a chili and lime flavor than a sweet peanut one. The Tom Yum Noodle Soup is one of the best things I have ever eaten and keeps me coming back for more weekly. It is a super delicious spicy and sour/sweet broth with noodles, soft boiled egg, fish balls, and super tasty pork. I HIGHLY recommend this place and will choose it over any other Thai place in Bakersfield.

Third time eating here. I found this place by accident. At first glance it appears to be a franchise its branded so well but its not. Its a LOCAL family owned joint.
