Large location with ample parking and lots of interior seating. The menu was diverse and they were open on Christmas and New Years Day. Staff was helpful with our catering order. Place looked clean and organized. The fried noodles were tasty and the egg rolls were great. They leftover egg rolls heated up nicely and were crisp the next day. Prices were good as well. We will be back again.

Four stars overall because of the good food, selection and price. And if you order the days special, you can have beef pho for $7.50 (yes, believe it). You should also know that baguette is baked on site, all day.

Start with parking. Very limited. Just hope someones leaving as u arrive, but no picky spot if u roll in a fancy car. Got all the typical Vietnamese snacks, basic soups, dishes, bread/ rolls, desserts, and drinks. Prices seem reasonable. Staff was not so friendly and pushy. My mom wanted some rice noodle roll freshly prepared, and cashier kept pushing the ones sitting on counter in front of her. Didnt come here for cold noodles.

There are so many Banh Mi Che Cali, somehow i like this place even my Daddy and my sister they like it too. I think Che ( desserts) are tasty and affordable. Foods are not supper good like in the restaurant, but they are okay, good price cleanse place. I like….i hope their services have improvements (: … just okay, not bad !

I went to this store 3 times(Sat, Sun, and picked up Tue)for my company’s party: the manage is so mean and rude, gave me attitude and yelled at me PAY ME PAY ME, by her Poor English only care about money and didn’t want to listen to me! I even wrote down my order nicely in the receipt about detailed items and pick up time 9:00am. I was here Tue 9:30am but NOTHING IS READY FOR ME! She never thought it’s her fault arguing why I’m here?! I had to waited for 1 hr to let them cooked/ prepared! She gave me another BAD ATTITUDE THAT REFUSED TO SEND ANYONE TO PUT THE 7 BIG/ HEAVY PARTY TRAYS IN MY CAR! I have pain and can’t use my both shoulders and I begged her to send anyone to help me again! I want to give her NEGATIVE 100 star! This place sucks. The service is terrible. Every time I make a phone order they never have it ready or even start making the food until I show up to pick it up. I ordered a baguette tray at 1 pm to be picked up at 4pm and they didnt have it ready nor had they even started on it. I hate this place and I will never order from here again.

Decent restaurant but the wait can be long. I recall more than once I went there with friends, there were no open seats! I understand that on the weekends they are busy, but the annoying fact was that no one even came over to acknowledge us! L ordered the shrimp soup noodles. The noodles is way too hard to chew, the shrimp smells strong, like it has been been the fridge for months. There are also a small insect in the soup. My wife and I come here a few times, she likes this place because seat down café. I dont really care much. The service is very slow because there is only one either man or woman show. The server has to clean table, take order, bring order out, and cashier; now add on top with 20 or more people came in. The food is good, the price is reasonable. I like deserts a lot, buy 2 get 1 free. I bought some deserts before, and left in refrigerator a few day, and foods are still good. The café needs a good power wash inside and outside store.

The go to spot if you need a banh mi sandwich or one of there other Vietnamese bakery. Food here is decent but the price is crazy cheap. They have raised the price a little I think its still an incredible deal. I got 6 x bang mi and two drinks for $19.00. before every climbing day trip I always end up here first... Cheaper than making your own sandwiches for the day.

Clean...decent table side service for a busy restaurant. Pretty much seat yourself and a waiter should help you. Can get extremely busy both the sit down and to-go line, but you will be able to stuff your pie hole in no time so just chill if you have to. The chicken curry is my favorite, though the flavor end to run a little more watery in the noodle version. I say go with the chicken curry with the side of bread and order another bread if need be. The milk tea is good as well plus its buy one get one.

I really think they deserve 5 stars for their own category. It is amazing in that it has great tasking food, and ridiculously low prices. $5 chicken noodle is very cheap for 2018. I have been on the east coast, west cost, and SE asia. This price is cheap. You have a clean atmosphere, hot tea came in styrofoam cup. Its a a great place for working people, students, and those who do not need an upscale appeals.

The all middle aged Vietnamese female crew are very grumpy and exhausted looking. Theyre not friendly to young and non-vietnamese speaking customer. I dont recommend this place.

I always love their quickness, food and prices.Ive ordered 4 drinks and forgot to ask for NO ICE. When i picked up my drink, I ask if they can take out the ice on 2 of the drink and the lady said NO.It was not busy. I just wanted them to peel off the top to fish out the ice, then seal it back up. I guess Im asking for too much. Therefore this is the reason why I am giving 3 stars.

This is my go-to staple for freshly made Vietnamese soups and bakery. Its all fresh and inexpensive. You get your moneys worth here every time. And theres so much to choose from, I always have a new experience. Also take try the green Pandan Cake. Its so squishy and delicious unlike anything Ive ever had.

My personal opinion, I don’t rate this’s store well because I couldn’t believe that I was spent $42.41 that was without tips yet. They only gave 2 slides of napkins and I asked some more they couldn’t gave to me. The management was there but he spoken his language. The restaurant supposed to open at 6:30 am, but front door still locked. Employees even saw me trying to open the front door at 7:00 am and just look at me. Also, for some reason nothing was ready for sale. Employees running around getting thing ready and not acknowledging customers are waiting. In the back area you can see employees preparing and packaging thing to sale. I thought when you are open you should have everything ready for sale. Also very bad customer service.

This Banh Mi Che Cali has the greatest Cap Chai and fried rice among other same names. Every staff is amazing but one lady. She happens to be always the person serving the food to our table every time we go there. She is a staff wihout smile and serves food without emotion and respect. The manager (maybe the boss) and the cashier at the egg roll counter are very nice and helpful. That lady should follow their footsteps.

Ive been coming here to get the Buy 2 Get 1 Free sandwiches since theyre so cheap ($2.50 - $2.75 per) to take on our hiking trips. Bonus points for opening so early too (6 AM!) This is a much much much bigger location than the one in Garden Grove.You can request that they put the veggies on the side so it doesnt get soggy if you plan to eat them the next day. Im bummed they dont provide cilantro or cucumber though!We enjoy the #1 Special Combination, the BBQ Pork and the BBQ Beef. Their huge steamed buns are also delicious too!Im not too phased by the customer service here since theyre efficient on the to go side. Came in to this location today to order a banh mi dac biet baguette ($3.75) and a cafe sua da ($2.75) the total was $6.81 with tax. Banh Mi Cali used to be more competitive considering the so-so taste and quality of their products. Due to their recent increases in prices throughout their So. Cal Location, I was not suprised about the high prices. I was surprised about the ice coffee taste changes and their from bad to worse services. Their coffee used to taste average and now it taste nothing like Vietnamese ice coffee. Its now tastes like the instant coffee without the caffeine jolts. G7 instant coffee from Trung Nguyen tastes much better in comparison. And as for the service it sucks. Waited in one line to order and when I was called to pickup my order from another location, I thought that I was going to get both the sandwich and the coffee at the same time, I was wrong. I told the cashier that took my order that I have not received the ice coffee yet and instead of getting it for me or asking someone else she said that I had to go to the dessert location to get. Im not surprised about the above average rating that Banh Mi Cali is getting since most of the reviewers are not Vietnamese. I cant pretend to know how delicious food from other cultures taste if I were not born or traveled or having experienced it throughout my life. BTW, if you have not figured it out yet, Im Vietnamese.

A very good place to grab quick Vietnamese foods. They have prepared spring rolls, grilled chicken, vegetarian foods and many others. The Vietnamese sandwiches have to be made, however, but they are made very quickly. They also have Vietnamese noodle soups like pho and bun bo. Highly recommended for a quick, inexpensive Vietnamese bite.

Generally a great place to eat at (minus the increasing prices)...and the short manager trying to kill me.I informed the waiter of my food allergy. I ordered no shrimp in a dish that normally comes with shrimp. I end up getting shrimp in my food. I tried complaining to the waiter to remake my dish, so they get the manager. The manager tries every way possible to convince me to take the food as-is. It comes with shrimp. I tell her, I ordered it without shrimp because I can die. No extra charge. I have a food allergy and cannot eat it. Good thing Im the master at scherades. After motioning 3-4 times that eating it and vomiting = lawsuit, she gave up very furiously and ordered her staff to remake it right. It took longer than necessary. An American restaurant would immediately correct it because they know a lawsuit would cost them the business. Im not going to scherades choking and falling on the dirty floor lol.Keep your orders simple and straight forward from the menu, the staff dont want her being angry for the duration of their shift.Also, the cups say eco-friendly but they arent even made of #7 PLA plastic lolol. Such blatant false advertising. I see nothing eco-friendly about it. Edit: The drink cups have changed, and are smaller :(They charge for water by packaging the water in boba cups, such a waste of nonrenewable natural resources and the planet. I brought my own thermos, they refused to fill it because management wants them to sell packaged water.
