I highly recommend you try the Lemongrass Beef Bahn Mi! Tender, flavorful beef, crisp veggies, wrapped up in a perfectly fresh baguette. Great value! Way more sandwich than I can eat by myself. I usually split one with my wife. You should definitely try their egg rolls, too. Man, those egg rolls are good!!! Yummy! Just tried Banh-Mi grill for lunch. I received friendly service from Hahn and my sandwich was amazing. Flavors on point very fresh. The place is strictly take out but, thats ok. Ill be back to try the Pho and other noodle dishes. Oh and Im picky.I loved this place.
My box was overwhelmingly stuffed with the BEST lunch & dinner in town! I was halfway through devouring the contents of the box when Google asked for a review. Great food. If youre looking for a good place to get Banh Mis then I highly recommend this place. I normally get their Viet Nam Banh Mi and Pork Banh Mi. They include shrimp chips with your order which are also a nice little snack. Pro Tip: if you order an extra sandwich to eat the next day ask to get vegetables on the side so the bread doesnt get soggy
My husband had never tried vietnamese sandwiches and today was the day he fell in love with them. Thank you guys for opening your location out here. It was delicious. The soup oh my gosh. Will be back for more.
I’m sitting here eating the lemongrass tofu with rice noodles that I ordered and thinking what an incredibly lucky person I am to know of this place and to have their food. Salty sweet tangy fresh deliciousness. Marvelous crispy but not fried tofu. Clean flavors and so filling. Thank you Banh Mi Grill!!!! Also love the convenient online ordering
Love this place! It smells wonderful inside. The service was world class level, with kindness and heart. Sue was very helpful and took the time to learn our names and make us feel extra special. The Banh-Mi was so delicious and you can tell they know what they’re doing here. I am a big fan of Banh-Mi and this was the best one I’ve had. I got the pork belly Banh Mi & the Lemongrass Beef Banh Mi and both were outstanding. Loaded with fresh ingredients and so much flavor. The bread was perfect as well. Crunchy and soft. I will definitely be coming back! & it’s family owned which is also a bonus! The staff was very nice.

Their grilled tofu sandwich is huge for $10 and its SUPER tasty. Love the jalapenos in there too. Guy at the counter is a little shy. Pretty fast service. Great for a go to vegan sandwich. Little bags of snacks and drinks in there as well.
Best bahn mi in town! It was my last prenatal pregnancy class with my wife and we uncharacteristically arrived early. I was so psyched to see that this bahn mi place was walking distance, and even more excited as I had probably one of the best bahn mi of my life! I got the Vietnamese bahn mi and my wife got the tofu, both were definitely enough sandwich to fill you up. Finished it off with a banana smoothie. Amazing.
Possible food poisoningWe had a large order, my pho wasn’t cooked. The meat was cold which may be okay since it was takeout. I got food poisoning the next day.Now i have to eventually go to the doctor and get checked out since my stomach has some issues now. I have to ensure i didn’t get some kind of parasite.The only reason i tried the place was because of all the good reviews.Please be careful. They dont seem to have much food safety. Kids are taking the order and adults seem to be in the back hanging out doing other things.I think they rushed the order since they had multiple orders and we had a large order. There was a sign outside asking for help (help wanted).

Awesome! Got the TNT beef banh mi sandwhich, a nice medium-ish spicy flavor. I got a chicken one as well thinking my room-mate would eat it, but they didnt and it was so good I had to eat it to.I regret nothing. Eat here, be happy.
The food here is amazing! Authentic Vietnamese! There is something for everyone. This time I tried the Tom Yum. It had a very rich thick broth with lots of seafood and fresh flavors . I definitely would recommend trying it. The prices are reasonable and the owners are so friendly. I cant wait to go again and try something else. It was also reasonably priced. A total thumbs 👍👍👍👍👍 from me!

Honestly, some of the best Vietnamese food for the Central Coast. Their Vegetable Pho is the best Ive had in California, and their sandwiches are really filling and made with great ingredients. The owner is very friendly and hospitable, and Im excited if they ever do change to a sit-down restaurant.

THIS PLACE is fantastic!We ordered the House Pho and the Chicken Bahn Mi. And honestly the best Bahn Mi Ive ever had- the Pho was good too! But definitely order the Bahn Mi . The bread was perfect. Fresh veggies! Cannot wait to to back. Everything looked great. Friendly quick service. No indoor seating and only 1 table outside. So, TO GO only right now. But they have their TO GO equipment on point- no spills for the Pho. Nicely packaged and sandwhich in a paper back so the bread stays crunchy! Loved the food. Will be back!
We ordered bugogi beef bahn mi and it was a wow! It was so tasty and full of fresh ingredients. The place seemed like a family restaurant and the service was very friendly. Note that they provide take-out only now. Give this lovely little restaurant a try if you are around!
Take out only right now but the pho is so well packaged. Got the house pho and the broth is phenomenal. Got the vietnam bahn mi as well and its so flavorful on first bite, packed with toppings and really great crisp on the roll.
I was so impressed by this place! my first order here was the cold cut bahn mi. It was a generous sandwich, the roll was huge leaving me to think it would be more bread than anything. Definitely not the case, the fresh and pickled veggies were packed in and a nice big slice of pork. The butter really came through which is one of my favorite parts to tie the sandwich together. Service was friendly and helpful, they really care about their business. Will definitely come back to try probably every other banh mi and their pho especially!

The Banh-mi like any other sandwich has to have good bread and to that end I was not disappointed. The loaf was soft, chewy and not so hard on top that it would cut the roof of your mouth. The ingredients all worked in unison to create a delicious blend of spicy, savory and sweet.
By far one of the BEST Bahn Mi I’ve ever had in Oxnard/Ventura area! I tried the beef, pork & chicken and the Bahn Mi was stuffed with meat and vege’s more than any other place I have tried here in Oxnard/Ventura AND each meat choice was all delicious - great flavors! And the bread from my opinion the best bread for Bahn Mi again not like the other places I have tried in Oxnard/Ventura area.I appreciate your here in Ventura and we will be back to try other dishes.Only success, happiness, health and good fortune be with your family and business.
Just ate an outstanding beef banh mi: crisp baguette, well flavored meat, lots of vegetables, and no too much sauce. Plenty for two meals but it was so good I ate it all, plus the shrimp chips.Less happy about the iced Vietnamese coffee. Tastes like it had been sitting in the refrigerator a couple of days before they added the ice today.But definitely will go back to try other things on the menut
*UPDATE 8-2021* Restaurant bought out by an LA investor. Was local owner before. Food recipes not quite the same. Still good food but not as amazing as it was before.Seriously amazing food, never had a single thing that wasnt phenomenal. Since they do get very busy, for quicker pickup, I recommend calling your order in.

I was so excited to see a banh mi place in Ventura and Banh-Mi grill does not disappoint. The staff are friendly and efficient and there is a good selection of delicious options to choose from. There is even a lemongrass tofu banh mi for a vegetarian option. The restaurant also serves pho and vermicelli if youre not in the mood for banh mi. Prices are reasonable too. This is a perfect place for a high quality grab and go lunch. I was impressed by my first visit and looking forward to going back for more soon!

Hungs Banh Mi is the best you can get! Hes very friendly and the grilled pork sandwich was amazing: a tasty toasted baguette and the perfect mix of toppings, not too sour or sweet. Will definitely be back and glad to have a Banh Mi shop closer than Van Nuys and even better tasting.

Banh-Mi Yes Please! So happy to have this place near my house. They keep the menu simple, order a Banh-Mi on a crispy French baguette, and select your protein of choice. Tried the Banh Bo (steamed pork buns) for a side dish and they were good too. Today is the Tet Holiday (Lunar New Year) and the owner Hung left me a nice gift “Li Xi” in my ToGo bag. That was a first for me and how thoughtful. Thanks for being here and providing excellent food.

These banh-mi are a whole meal! Got the fried fish cakes sando, shrimp spring rolls and an iced coffee. Everything was super tasty and the service was excellent. Will definetly hit them up next time Im looking to grab a picknick for the beach.
Both the veggie bahn mi and the spring rolls were delicious. I would suggest eating the veggie bahn mi ASAP so the tofu stays nice and crispy, however, im sure its still delicious if you wait to eat it. The man who helped us, Hung (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly), was super nice and helpful. Overall an enjoyable experience 😊

Nice that there is a Banh-Mi restaurant in Ventura! The food is good. Youll probably need to take your food to go because the restaurant is very small. Compared to Orange County the prices are quite high for a sandwich but the ingredients are probably harder to get in this area.

2023-07-20 03:20:54Well do you like Banh-Mi? If you do, you need to stop here sometime.Ive eaten Banh-mi everywhere from Mira Mesa and LA County, to NYC. They all vary (kinda like a homemade sandwich), so some are good, and others not so much.Anyway, I hit this place during lunch, and wow, it was a long wait. I suppose the fact its busy, and cheap, and soooo darn good make that a natural outcome.Place. Small strip mall location, kinda hard to find with difficult parking. Inside, the restaurant is order only, with really no place to sit. So plan to take out.Service. OK I guess. Like I said, crazy busy, one guy in fron taking orders. Very little room to sit while waiting on orders, almost left. But due to time constraints, I decided waiting was shorter than starting over.Food. Hell yea. That was an incredible Bahn-mi. Many a Bahn-mi sandwich looses it at the bread. This sandwich was nice and crispy on the outside, soft and light on the inside--nice French style bread. I choose the grilled pork, damn, so tender and flavorful its hard to describe. Good crispy fresh vegetables on the inside, Vietnamese style. It was a good size, and I was in the pleasure/flavor zone driving back to LA.Bottom-line, would I eat there again? Hell yeah. Please can you ship me a few??

Delicious food and kind folkOur food was packaged neatly and all condiments and utensils were included, the food portions were satisfactory. If you are someone who enjoys a variety of vegetables along with your meat,poultry or seafood this is a place you want to try. Were definitely ordering again. There is a good Parking area as well

The menu listed on google doesn’t match their menu up front so that was a bit frustrating.I ordered a grilled tofu sandwich for my partner and a grilled pork sandwich for myself. Both were super tasty but also had a lot of liquid dripping out so be prepared for that.Highly recommend this place for the quality and relatively inexpensive dishes. There isn’t much seating in our outside so take-out is the better option.They are conveniently located near the 101 also!

2021-07-09 05:03:04Banh-Mi Grill is fairly new restaurant in Ventura County. I think they will be a great Asian restaurant in the future. We ordered two of the same Banh-Mi sandwiches and they were different. Mine was missing cilantro and less ingredients. The service is fast and very friendly. There is no indoor dining or outside seating. I asked them why, and they said they only given a permit for takeout food by the City. They seemed and I felt like it was a Family owned business. Which I really like in a local owned. I suggest trying this restaurant to help them fine tune their great Vietnamese foods. Please try.

2022-11-11 01:00:43The staff are a bit disorganized, don’t know which order goes to which customer and it shouldn’t be that way if a customer orders through GrubHub.The lemongrass tofu part of the dish was good and flavorful, but the rest wasn’t. The vermicelli noodles were hot not cold and there was no fish sauce nor traditional sides like cucumber and peanuts. Was pretty disappointed overall for the price.

Got the fried fish cake and vegetarian banh-mi sandwiches and they were both huge and delicious. The vegetarian version is possibly the best weve ever had with nice and crunchy tofu. The bread is a little chewy rather than light, but still good. Very friendly staff, little packets of sriracha available to go and if you want to eat there, theres a little bench that turns into a half picnic table outside.
