Been to the place three times. 1st was to try, 2nd to validate, and 3rd was because I couldnt resist. Hell yeah! The banh xeo is fantastic!!! The nuc mam is awesome. The fact that they can have the banh xeo light and crunchy is a feat. Ive tried to replicate but failed to duplicate. Its a place you can expect to fill your belly and walk out jolly. Next must try is their special of roast duck porridge (congee).

Not a huge menu but when you go to a place named Banh Xeo Quan, you get the Banh Xeo. Banh Xeo is a savory crispy crepe dish with the pancake infused with shrimp and pork belly pieces with cooked bean sprouts and onions stuffed inside. It is served with fresh lettuce and herbs for creating delicious wraps to dip in fish sauce. Would order again. Parking lot behind building.
Super DELICIOUS Banh xeo! Drove by after a 4hr road trip and ended up exiting the fwy for some food. Found this place through maps because of my previous visits to other Vietnamese restaurants. Definitely worth the 15 min detour. Im rarely on this side of town but will definitely be making more stops just for this place.
Best banh xeo that weve found, so far, in the Los Angeles area. Recommended by the late Jonathan Gold. Crispy edges are great. The lettuce and herbs are excellent. Tasty sauce pulls everything together. Limited menu, but what they have is great. They can customize the ingredients for those with dietary restrictions.

The banh xeo here is on point. Its hard to find any restaurant where they make the vietnamese crepes crunchy. You will hear the crunch vibrate in your skull! First time here and they did not disappoint.The setting is your typical ma and pop shop. They werent stingy with the A/C, though. The place didnt smell of cleaning chemicals typical of most Asian mom and pop shops.I cant comment on any other food. I was looking for a quick bite and stopped in. Looked at the older lady eating banh xeo sitting 2 tables over. If you grew up in an Asian environment, you would get it when I say the Asian women makes any food look delectable. Had to try it!
Love the crispy Banh Xeo--so tasty. And I love that their watermelon juice has no added sugar, just the natural juice...so refreshing Ill be back tomorrow for some more Banh Xeo! Yummy!
Gotta, say the menu is under 10 items in all pretty much, yet its all pretty, pretty good.This spot if small yet I dont ever feel uncomfortable or social anxiety. The food is good, comes out fast for a restaurant.I come here every day, and have tried everything here within a week of coming here. Gotta say, its all good.
We order 2 banh xeo fish but came short one, we asked where is the other order and he said he doesnt know you said you order one. We both clearly point out the picture menu and put 2 fingers up and spoke in vietnamese and english. I dont know where hes from but where I come from that means 2 orders of the same or this guy has a short attention span as rock.

Its been a long time since Ive been back. Currently, the restaurant feels small with just over 10 tables. The menu is smaller with only a few dishes, but the taste is not bland, perhaps there are fewer dishes so the kitchen will take more care.If you look at the name of the restaurant, youll know. The main dish sold is banh xeo, with steamed duck noodles also ok.As for the special drink, green beans with pandan leaves, I like it but its a bit expensive at 3us. In my opinion, about 2.50 us is fine. In general its OK. You should stop by and try it out sometime.

2023-09-06 19:07:26I was in New noodle city and fresh from HCMC when I realized I never had a bahn Xeo when I was in Viet Nam . Then I found out its pretty hard to find on Valley Boulevard. So I did some research and found this place. I begged The Worm to take me and we chatted our way over there. The look of the place from the outside was not promising -- I thought it was closed -- but inside in was super cool, an old shotgun donut diner. Half the tables were filled and the owner, James, seated us and gave us the simple menu. I was going to get the vegan one because gout but he sensibly intervened and suggested we get the fish. We did. It arrived huge and with a big plastic bag of greens -- he told us to wrap it and drip it in fish sauce, and further suggested that if I liked spicy I could put siracha or Chile sauce IN THE FISH SAUCE. I cannot believe I got this far without knowing about, much less thinking of, this genius step. It tastes so, so good, god knows how James got all that flavor in there. So very satisfying in ways I was not expecting. The Worm was well impressed that Thai Tea was only $2.50, and it was very good. The iced sue da was full of flavor too. New addition to my top five. When I stepped in I was greeted by one of the owners, a woman, who asked me if Id been there before. I told her that it was my first time. She informed me that they are famous for the Banh Xeo, which are the fried crepes. I ordered the first one on the menu, which comes with shrimp, pork, mushrooms, beansprouts, eggs and onion all sautéed into what looks like an omelette; the crunchy crust is colored by the turmeric. She told me the proper way to eat them: you eat them with your hands. Start with a leaf of lettuce, add some mint leaves, then some of the banh xeo, then some vinegar sauce. If you like it spicy, add some chili sauce too. It was fantastic. It was like comfort food but not too heavy. I ate all of it, every bite, and left feeling great! Comfort food you can overeat! They offer tea, boba, and vietnamese coffee.I loved the ambiance. There was quite a few happy customers in but still the service was attentive and fast! I felt very welcome here and I enjoyed the conversation with the friendly owners. They do take credit cards. FYI the owners are taking a month off for a late New Year celebration and the place will be closed Feb 19, 2023 to March 19, 2023. Mark your calendar for March 20 and try the Banh Xeo!

So satisfying, tasty and refreshing. I love their ice,I feel like it compliments the drinks. Must go to in SGV . Hidden Gem .

2021-03-22 04:15:34Run don’t walk! Got the pork and shrimp banh xeo and the owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. The crepe was crispy, and we ate it in the to go box in our car. Wow! I’ve had this dish at a lot of places in OC and SGV and this one is great, and not one to miss.Also, this business is totally the type you wanna support. Good people deserve our support!!! Plus incredible food, so cmon!A few years ago they shot a Steve Carrell film here, and the owner told us some great stories about him. If they aren’t busy, maybe she’ll share the stories with you too?;)

2018-12-23 11:28:22Menu here is not as big as other Vietnamese restaurants but what they serve is quite good. Crispy pancakes are very good and also the hotpot set served on a gel burner is a good deal. A portion of herbs and vegetables for making wraps are provided for each dish. Owner is very friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes.

2022-01-08 21:53:29Brought Mom here for lunch and it was a lot of fun. The food is so different from everything else in Los Angeles. I had the dry noodle plate and she had the crepe. I will definitely come back again! I hope this place never closes or moves. To the restaurant, thank you and we wish you a HAPPY 2022!!

The gentleman who served the food and the lady who greeted were so friendly and kind. Small place with limited dining but the whole vibe felt like we were transported to Asia :)Want to try their new item, duck porridge, next time!
