2023-10-21 20:12:56Baos Hog in Garden Grove was recommended to me by a friend. I dont really even like baos necessarily, but honestly, this place has elevated their boa game to make me a believer! I tried 2 different styles of baos, the Hot Chick Bao and the Char Siu Bao, both were unbelievably delicious, and the buns are so light and fresh! The me u sounds so interesting, I am going back on the weekend to try other items.

2023-05-28 01:12:51Wow..dios mio... Amazing.. talk about affordable, great tasting food. I had the duck, bolsa and hot chick hog and it was a life changing experience. I spent as much as a popular fast food meal and I got an amazing experience for my taste buds.. as a taco lover I would literally exchange this in my meal experience more than once.. definitely somewhere I would come back again and again

2023-10-24 14:54:46My go to place for a Friday night dinner to go! Very affordable and delicious. They have pretty much all the Hongkonese BBQ style meats served with ham bow or rice. They now do banh mi too. The place is small. I dont recommend eating inside.

2023-04-24 18:54:31Loved the Cali style burrito with the beef bulgogi! The size of the burrito was pretty big so I only ate half for lunch. The sauce was decent but not my favorite. Overall I loved all the different flavors in the burrito. Can’t wait to try the baos next!

2023-04-27 00:50:07Extremely disappointed, i ordered the duck it looked awesome but it was pretty bad. They serve it cold which was really off putting and it had very little flavor. The rice was way overcooked and mushy, the sauce was weak. The highlight was the sambal lol. I wont be back.

2023-11-26 00:27:57I cant believe how long it took me to finally try this spot. If you dont know about this spot, they specialize in a variety of baos and rice plates. Theyve been in business for awhile and because of its location (tucked in a corner of the plaza), I tend to forget about it until after Ive left the plaza. I was really craving for some chinese bbq one day and then I suddenly remembered about this spot. After trying them out, I can see why theyre still in business despite so many new food establishments popping up. Portions are generous and the pricing is very reasonable. Ill definitely be back for more!|| L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G ||-Cross Streets are Brookhurst St. and Westminster Ave.-Located in the same plaza as Boiling Point, Banh Mi Che Cali, Sunmerry Bakery, Sunright Tea Studio and more. Theyre tucked in the corner of the plaza closely facing Brookhurst St.-Parking is a hit or miss depending on the time you come. Theyre located in a super popular plaza that houses a Vietnamese supermarket as well as many other popular tea/food establishments.|| F O O D ||Duck Bao ($5.50) - This has got to my favorite bao of all time. Im not kidding you when I said their baos are super loaded. They gave me a thick piece of duck in my bao and honestly, I could just eat one of these and be done with my meal. The duck was flavorful and very tenderBolsa Bao ($5.50) - My second favorite bao! Its crispy pork and again, you get a thick slice of it too! I liked the pickled onions on top which helps to counter the oiliness from the crispy pork skin. So much flavor in this oneCharsiu Bao ($5.00) - A close second favorite but Ive always loved my crispy pork over charsiu so it did not surprise me that this was my 3rd favorite. Again, they load up the bao with thick pieces of charsiu. It seems like the charsiu is healthier too because there werent any fatty pieces which I appreciated.Hainan Chicken Rice with dark meat ($12.50) - You have the selection of white meat or dark meat for this dish and I opted for the dark meat which cost me an additional $1.00 which I didnt mind. This was recommended to me by the worker as one of their most popular rice dishes. I do love a good hainan chicken rice so I decided to try one for myself. It was pretty good although I have to say its on the sweeter side which I personally didnt mind. It might be from the sauce itself? Nonetheless, it was still good, and they provided a generous portion of chicken.

2021-03-21 18:38:19Really great little hole in the wall in Garden Grove off of Brookhurst, really close to the 22 Freeway for easy access. The parking lot is a little crazy and people drive up right next to the shop, so be careful when you step off the curb! The food is really fantastic. Freshly made, very large, fluffy bao and huge portions on the fillings. We went two days in a row because we were so impressed the first day. The girl who helped us the first visit was amazingly friendly. The boy the next day not so much, he also got our order wrong, but you really cant get anything bad here, so we werent that bothered, although they did forget the one item I was craving the most. Our favorites: Duck Bao which is $4.50, but huge pieces of duck, so worth the money; Boss Hog Fries (choose between pork or beef, comes with sauces, cilantro, and onions), cauli fries (you should get 12 orders of these so no one fights or dreams about them); Fish Bao.Definitely going to keep eating here!
