2023-10-09 06:40:37A casual dinner date took us to Bon Mot and it definitely left us with a lot of good food memories.Getting in there the parking can be a bit challenging though if you go around the loop and be a bit patient there would be a spot that awaits you with arms wide open.Cozy intimate atmosphere, dimmed lighting, comfortable seating, and carefully curated decor set the stage for a memorable evening. I would call it perfect ambience and amazing vibes right from get go.Greeted with a cheerful smile by the staff we were seated and the service at is definitely exemplary. The staff is not only attentive but also passionate about the food they serve. They took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and cater to our dietary preferences (they did let us know the changes that they had made to the menu in accommodating the request that we had made).Food at Bon Mot is a journey. You get to see the presentation, then you taste and eventually enjoy it all as you eat through the options in the menu. The dishes are not only visually stunning but also burst with unique flavors. The chefs dedication to pushing the boundaries of flavor is commendable. We ordered the tasting menu and were definitely left amazed with the creativity that was infused into each dish that was brought to the table. The bass and the monkfish turned out to be our favorites along with the cabbage potage and the buckwheat focaccia. The 3 deserts at the end of the tasting menu definitely added gold to glory. From the ambiance and service to the innovative food, its a restaurant that leaves a lasting impression.Absolute recommendation!!!

2023-09-29 04:38:53My husband and I decided to have a spontaneous Friday night date to celebrate our anniversary, and we chose this place which had been on my wishlist for a while. I was thrilled to finally check it off!Upon arrival, the bartender graciously offered to create a custom mocktail based on my preferences. The resulting concoction of strawberry, melon, and mint was incredibly fruity and refreshing. For dinner, we sampled a variety of dishes:Fluffy Kabocha (4/5): The Japanese pumpkin purée had an unexpectedly silky texture, and the marinated salmon roe added a perfect touch of saltiness.Grilled Sourdough Focaccia (5/5): As a carb lover, I was delighted by the heavenly taste of the house 1-year aged green plum butter on the perfectly grilled sourdough focaccia.Crispy Brussels Sprouts (5/5): Undoubtedly the star of the evening, these Brussels sprouts were flawlessly crispy. The gochujang and candied anchovy added a delightful kick of flavor.Deep Fried Chicken Wings (5/5): The chicken wings were exceptionally crispy, and the subtle oil taste indicated the use of fresh oil. The accompanying garlic chili sauce was a perfect complement.Striped Bass (3/5): This dish was the only slight disappointment of the night. The fish was a bit dry, and the flavors didnt stand out.Kabocha Chiffon Cake (5/5): Even though my husband isnt a big fan of sweets, he thoroughly enjoyed this cake. The balanced sweetness (not too sweet!) and the contrasting texture of the crispy sweet potato skin made it a standout dessert.Overall, the ambiance was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. Im already looking forward to our next visit!

2022-12-30 01:51:23We came to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Seeing the reviews, I had much higher expectations in terms of food and ambiance.Drinks were great. Some dishes were delicious (sweet potatoes and sashimi). Others were decent. The portion sizes were too small (mostly Tapas) and didn’t have many options. The most disappointing was the vanilla ice cream. It seems very old and cheap quality. I am rating 3 stars because of drinks and their service. I didn’t find any dishes to be extraordinary.I’d not go to the restaurant again. For the money you spend, I’d go somewhere else with better options.

2022-07-07 18:42:59Bar Bonmot is a high end restaurant and bar that serves some pretty Korean modern fusion food.First of all, you have a handful of cocktails to choice from, they all great in terms of taste and presentation. You could definitely pick spirits or wines, if you want to.Second for the food, the presentation is beautiful. The portion is on the mini side, you will need minimum 2-3 dishes per person, as you could finish each dish in 2-3 bits. The group of 4 from use pretty much try out everything from the menu and feel we need something more 😂.The service is not too bad, but not the best.Considering the portion, I will say it is on the pricey side, as the 4 of us total around $400, given each of us only order 1 cocktails.

2022-10-24 04:13:14First of all its expensive. We opted for the family style tasting menu, $98 per person. We have a taste of everything on the menu except the caviar, which is not included in the tasting set, but you can order it for $35 as extra. We also swapped one pork with beef steak, for $44 more.Appetizers are great. I like the scallops the best, the extra order of sea urchin is also yummy 😋For the second round of tapas, the bread and butter is the best.Pork belly is ok, I can still taste the pork... So I am glad that we swapped out one pork with beef steak. The fish is good, but not impressed. The great thing of having the tasting menu is: you got three dessert 🍪 all of them are great 👍

2022-03-29 04:14:11I cant forget that night at here. The foods were absolutely great and I was so impressive for their creativity. In every single dishes, I could feel how much they put their efforts and care. I knew their chefs have lots of experience in fine dining fields. Above all things, I highly recommend their drinks. Cocktail was really good. Such a nice place with gorgeous atmosphere and I should go back soon.

2023-04-11 11:12:13My friends treated me out for my dinner here. I was excited to hear about a new nice-ish restaurant that was opening up so close by. it is located at Main Street Cupertino, so parking is pretty terrible. you have to park in the parking garage because it gets so busy.I got the the lychee de leche cocktail to start and enjoyed it. it came out pink and was super cute.as for the food --fluffy sweet potato: I was actually pretty hesitant about this one, but this was by far my favorite ones. if you get anything, get this one! the marinated salmon roe was a delicious contrast to the subtle sweet fluffy potatokaluga caviar: this was also a favorite. the creme fraiche and caviar was a great pairing, refreshing and a bit savory and creamy. the brioche was a perfect way to deliver boththe rest were only okay in my opinion, and I was not really wowed by their flavors like the other twobeef cold cut salad: this one sounded yummy but I felt like there was not a lot of beef, but a lot of bean sprouts. The chojang took over most of the taste here.day boat scallops: the scallops barely had any taste, and was overall pretty cold when we ate it. the house-xo was good but did not amp up any flavors in the dish.poached aori ika & shrimp: super excited about this one, the shrimp had a nice bite, which I enjoyed, but wish the kimchi broth was more executed into the shrimp and squid. Was coldtomato and nectarine: my friend couldnt eat this one because it was too spicy for her. thats all I remember about this dish!crispy chicken: This was the only thing that really filled us up! The pieces were pretty big, but very saucy! tbh, I am not a big fan of saucy chicken/wings, but if you like that, this could be good one for you.We debated on doing the tasting menu since we ended up almost trying the entire menu. This was for 3 people and we left feeling like we werent super full, but content.I felt like it wasnt really worth it since the menu was kinda pricey for what you get, and the flavors and quality werent up to par for me.this would be a good place to go for a small bite and a drink before heading on to the rest of your night.

2022-12-05 05:40:37Truly surprised and delighted by the cocktails and food. Was not expecting such a high caliber of food given the location and more casual atmosphere, and honestly I was freaking out with how perfect everything tasted. The chef was able to accommodate my gluten, dairy, and egg allergies, which is no easy feat. Kudos to Bar Bonmot!!

2022-12-07 18:55:112nd time here but 1st time reviewing. Both experiences have been pleasant and met with exquisite bites. Let’s break this place down! The restaurant consist of a small space connected to the Marriott. It’s really well laid out with a modern yet intimate ambiance. Making reservation ahead of time is recommended.Parking is manageable. There are parking in the plaza and in the parking garage. The drinks… just wow. I really dig the Asian influence on the drinks. Props to whoever came up with the selections and recipes! I tried the Korean Eggnog (8/10), Lychee de Leche (10/10), and Far East Fashioned (10/10). Presentation and flavors are both on point. You can definitely taste the pandan in the Far East Fashioned. The food.. also wow! Bar Bonmot serves tapa style so expect the food to be smaller than yo usual entrees. They also have a tasting menu available for those who can’t make up their mind. We ordered a la carte and have no ragrets. My recommendations are the kanpachi crudo with the uni add-on and the steamed pork belly bo-ssam. If you don’t care about budget then kaluga caviar is the way. The crème fraiche is simply amazing. I could eat it without the bread. Highly recommend.Side note: the server mentioned their prime New York steak that goes through a dry aging process. I didn’t see it on their physical menu but it is an option. I have full confidence it’d be as delectable as it sounds. Service overall is excellent. There is a 5% surcharge mentioned on the menu. It goes to the staff and their benefits. Really hope this doesn’t become the norm for all restaurants.
