We had a wonderful birthday dinner for our granddaughter. The food was excellent, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was efficient and quick. My granddaughter gave a thumbs up and we definitely will go back soon.
Weve been going to Bari Bari since our kids were little..we have 5 kids and it was the only place we could go where we our kids would be entertained and eat fabulous food. Hope knew all of us by name and would always treat us like family. Proms graduations birthdays dances soccer games...always a reason to go to bari bari...now our children take their children. We will miss Hopes beautiful smile and kindness he truly was a yorba linda icon. We pray for this wonderful family and we hope you know how much hope was thought of and loved.
First time coming here.. Awesome experience. Food was delicious and nice amount of portion size.. I definitely recommend. Will for sure return to eat here again 😋
The food and everything was really good. Prices reasonable for this type of thing. But they are really fast to get you out of there. I get it, its a small place but from sit down to leaving it was less than an hour for our group of 9. We felt very very rushed.
We have been coming here for many years. The food doesnt disappoint and the service is efficient- the folks there are so nice and accommodating. Only drawback is you leave smelling like you spent an hour in a smokehouse. Good times!

I love this teppanyaki house. The chefs are excellent. So is the attentive wait staff. The show is fun & the food is heaven for any palate. Good prices for the quality too.
The food here was absolutely delicious and the experience was fun. I like the menu layout it was easy to understand.Its not cheap but the quality is very good and its enough food for 2 meals.I would recommend making a reservation.Every combination comes with three shrimp already so my recommendation is good the filet mignon and either scallops or Lobster.
As advertised. Good food. Quick service. Place is small, so it’s “cozy” and you’ll smell like hibachi. Not a bad thing. A great option. We’ll be back.
I have been coming here for about 20 years w a lil lapse here and there. Started going when my kiddos were elementary aged and now they’re adults. You know how they say a hole in the wall place has the best food, we’ll that applies to Bari, Bari. You would never know of this place if walking by.Yes this place is small, it gets very crowded and if you’re gonna have a party more than 4 I recommend making a reservation.The food here is stellar, the filet mignon is amazing. I find myself craving it quite often.It’s a fun atmosphere, younger kids would really enjoy watching the chef make a smoking volcano w onions.I personally would eat here before I’d eat at Benihana’s, for me the food is better.Even though this place isn’t as nicely decorated as Benihana’s that’s fine w me, I d rather be satisfied with eating a fulfilling meal than critiquing the decor.The amount of food you get is like claim jumper, huge portions, you’ll definitely be taking leftovers home to eat later.So I went there last year after not eating there for over 10+ years and they still remembered me... even asking me how my kiddos were.... That just made me feel fantastic because I know they have A LOT of repeat customers.As for me, it is pricey but it’s worth it, the food is worth it as well as being greeted like an old friend.I live close by, I make it a point to support my local business.Try it, I don’t think you will be disappointed..

We have been going here for years. Very disappointed in our last visit. We made reservations for 10 for 5PM on Sunday the 23rd of February 2019. A couple of our members were running behind. Now I understand that this can be annoying for a place like Bari Bari. So we apologized for the delay but told them we could be seated and they could start cooking as we knew our friends were on their way and would arrive shortly. This was not good enough. The staff were very short with us. Not pleasant at all.The rest of the group arrived and the meal went as expected. They did bring Beer for our birthday folks which was nice. But heres the rub. When they brought our bills they added a charge on without listing it explicitly. My bill showed my meal and my wifes. Then it showed drinks and tax. The total was more than that. THEY LITERALLY HID THE GROUP SURCHARGE. CMON MAN. I HAD ALREADY PAID AND ADDED A TIP. WTF?Normally we go as a group of 4 to 5 couples. We are used to restaurants adding the tip on to the bill. We get it and not the least bit bothered by it. But it is not necessary to hide it. I think that was rude and unprofessional.
Kudos to the chefs but the owners need to change their philosophy. I have visited many restaurants around the world and never in my life have I felt so rushed to be pushed out of restaurant. I even tried to politely state to the owners that it would be nice if they didnt try rushing through everything, but to tell me that we should be happy that they even served us threw me over the edge. The fact that they started asking us to put things in to go containers before we even had time to finish our food is just plain rude. The food was still smoking when they gave us the bill. Really???? All I can do is hopefully save some other group from making the same mistake. Please note that I understand that service cannot always be perfect but if you force bad service on someone then it is going to stress them out and make it hard not to enjoy the experience. This is the first time that I have ever had to raise my voice when voicing a concern because at the end of the day the owner would not accept feedback on service.
The food here is phenomenal! The service is even better. Make sure to make a reservation prior to showing up because it gets busy!

I used to love this place, but over the years they have lost their customer service. Last time there with a full table of people, they tried to rush us out. Forcing us to order when not ready, but bringing drinks, and dropping off to go containers when the chef was still cooking. Very disappointing after all these years. Will be going to hibachi or another in the area before ever going here again.
The service was great at this restaurant. I wish I could say as much for the food my scallops were sandy and the shrimp were not cleaned. Weve eaten there before and compared it to Hibachi Steakhouse but last night was a real eye-opener the quality of food has really gone down. The only thing me and my husband agreed on is that the cabbage was good.

Weve been going here for over ten years, and the place is always top-notch. Owner Hope (cant pronounce his Japanese name) and his crew have decorated the place over the years with wonderfully kitschy items and drawings (my son has at least three up there at last count). The show is always entertaining, the food is top quality and always delicious, and you leave with a full tummy and a glad heart (and usually a container of leftovers, because the portions are very generous). I can recommend the filet and scallop combo, while the wife opts for the teriyaki beef. Make reservations, and I guarantee you wont be disappointed. Enjoy!
Tasty tepanyaki for a fair price. Decor is simple and feels like a low key neighborhood spot that has been around for a long time. High quality tender New York and scallop combo was $31.50 with the typical mixed vegetables and fried rice, miso soup, and small simple iceberg salad. Hubby had teriyaki steak which was around $26 and was very pleased with taste and quality. Unfortunately they rush you in and out to make way for the next group. Not a place to linger over dinner with friends. 4 stars for quality of food but 3 stars for the decor and experience.
Always good times when you come to Bari Bari! No matter who get as a cook, they are always funny and cook everything perfect. We went for a birthday and they give you a free beer instead of a dessert! It doesnt get better than that! Filet and Lobster is by far the best plate. Oh and double rice!

One of the best teppan grills Ive ever been to. I love teppan food and I was surprised by how good this hole in the wall place is. The restaraunt is very unassuming located in a strip mall with 6 grills. Ive never had issues getting reservations here.The food is great, the filet mignon is the most tender steak Ive ever had. You get a giant pile of fried rice, and can even ask to substitute the veggies for double fried rice. The soup and salad are both delicious. Theres far less show then at a benihanas but I dont mind that one bit. The service is quick and efficient. The owner is extremely nice and very funny. Great bang for your buck here. Id highly reccomend!

The appetizers include miso soup, salad, fried onions and zucchini, egg fried rice, and fried shrimps. They all taste good. It is a local delicacy, but the fried shrimps are too salty. I will remind the chef to use less salt next time.The lobster and scallop of the main course were very fresh. The only drawback was that they were too salty, and the flavor of the fried rice was easily overwhelmed by comparison.The whole set was very filling and very filling. I would recommend it to friends who live nearby. However, there is no need to drive here specially to eat. The staff are very nice. In addition, the scrambled egg tossing activity in the middle is so exciting.

The food is always great and what made this place so popular was the atmosphere, quality of food, and especially the huge portions. I understand inflation and restaurants need to raise prices to stay afloat. However the portion of the food has decreased dramatically and the prices have skyrocketed. My beef teriyaki meal was $37. Just a couple of years ago it was $25. They give you about half the amount of food now and they also stopped adding mushrooms to their mixed vegetables. I don’t know if I could continue supporting this place.

If you like garlic, be sure to ask for extra grilled garlic. They grill garlic cloves that add to the flavor of your food! Groups of 6 or more, 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. I didnt mind it because Pedro (Chef) deserved it! I wish there was a spot where you could have added extra gratuity for a bigger tip, but there wasnt. It was all added in and totaled up. If you carry cash, you could always just leave an additional tip in cash. DEFINITELY will be returning!!!!

Entertainment value is great too but mainly come for the fresh quality grilled food and beer. Have tried pretty much everything on the menu and everything is great. A little on the pricey side so anticipate a heavier bill at the end but worth every penny. Until next time thanks bari bari!

2023-04-26 05:04:14We tried Bari Bari Japanese Steak House for the first time tonight for my husband’s birthday! It’s close to Corona which we like and is somewhere different! The restaurant was small and quaint and very busy… this must be a popular place!! The staff was super friendly, and provided excellent service the entire time! The chefs were entertaining and cooked the best food!! We got the filet mignon and shrimp, filet mignon and chicken, kids beef teriyaki and kids chicken! Of course got the works with their mushroom soup, salad, fried rice, and veggies!! It was my hubbys birthday and they brought him a large bottle of Sapporo beer with two candles attached… so sweet! We definitely enjoyed ourselves tonight and will be dining at Bari Bari again!!
