Barracuda Japanese Restaurant in Burlingame

Sushi is very good. Loved the Happy Hour Menu. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star on service is although our waitness was awesome, in fact she was actually a Hostess helping out, the kitchen was slow and our dessert took about 30 minutes to get to us. Which makes me believe that if it hadnt been an early weekday meal that we would have been waiting a lot longer for food. The only reason we waited was because of the Hostess/fill in Waitress. She was super nice.

Very good service. They come and help you at all times. The food was okay. The best thing was the Saba shioyaki for the bento box lunch. The Arnold Palmer I got was a unique flavor. The California roll didn’t have any taste so I added soy sauce and ginger. Overall, a relaxing place off the main strip of downtown Burlingame.I used to live in Japan so my standards are higher as well.

Pros: Good prices, delicious food, lots of parking nearby, fast serviceCons: not enough outdoor seating :)Love sushi and miso soup? This is the place. They are conveniently located right by Burlingame Ave so you can stop by real quick and then carry on exploring what Burlingame Ave has to offer. My favorite is the veggie Gyoza (something I havent seen at other Japanese restaurants yet). Maybe I have to keep exploring and Ill find it. My wife had the chicken katsu bento box and she loved it. The salad has a dressing Ive never had before but it was not overpowering or plain. Just simple and tasty. The California roll has a lot of crab meat which I thought most people would like, I prefer a little less but it was still good. Service was excellent both times I visited in the past three weeks so I will come here again!

Pretty decent Japanese restaurant. I liked the sushis and gyoza there. The baked sushi was really good. The staff was not as active and the ambiance is also a bit too dark. Overall an okayish place but good enough Japanese food so 5 stars for the food for sure

We tried this Sushi spot in Burlingame. We had the 49er roll, Power of love, and Best of the Best, Spicy Country. A good spot spot for Sushi.

My family and I had a great time!! Their lunch options are great, and Shiso Fresh Sushi is so so so delicious!!!

Fantastic, every time I’ve come here I’ve had great service. The California rolls from here are a 10/10 so it the miso soup and the shrimp/assorted tempura. I’ve never had anything bad there.

Very good for a quick bite but not what we expected, food is very americanized and we where looking for something more traditional.
