To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much. I was looking for a quick bite of sushi and this spot just came up as the closest. I was so pleasantly surprised. I had yellowtail nigiri, salmon belly nigiri, shima aji nigiri, and otoro nigiri - each bite was fresher and more delicious than the next. The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and they even have a 10% special for lunch. What a great find - will be back.
Comfortable and spacious dining room and tables with polite, efficient service. The food is the only downside. I had the bento lunch with 2 items: tempura and sashimi. Tempura mix was not that good with a small shrimp, very large onion, squash/pumpkin, potato, broccoli. Too much starch, heavy batter and fry. Sashimi was 2 pieces of white fish and 2 pieces of salmon. Both types of fish seemed to be heavy with water, maybe re-frozen?
So delicious. Such a great service, very humble, very attentive and caring. The food was amazing. Bashamichi roll is with every penny. Will come back!!!

Huge fan of their sashimi!!! A perfect choice for a fam dinner or just a to-go picnic;) I’m in love with the Bashamichi roll, especially the favor is AMAZING!!! Literally you can get this party combo in a good price with great service and quality.Definitely a good place if you’re craving 4sushi during this pandemic. Keep it in mind they do have delivery service for some locations, make sure you call them to confirm whether ur address are under their delivery service.

Ate the other food before It remembered to take s photo. It was wonderful. Server offered plenty res and modified my wifes order to her liking. Attention to detail. The wasabi shaped as a leaf. Miso was extremely well made. Coming back for sure.

Looking online I find that this place is more takeout and online orders than a dining place. It is located in a La Quinta motel and is very hard to find.The food was adequate. The sushi good, tempura very good but the sake had a strange taste.I rated the atmosphere only 2 because the place is really just a couple of motel rooms.
I went there yesterday evening. We like the the place very clean restaurant, the food is good.i had the 3 item bento chicken teriyaki, mixed tempura and spicy tuna roll all delicious. I give it four stars because it takes too long for the server to take your order and they dont check to see how you are doing. I should give 3 stars, but Ill give 4 for effort.

Food was delicious and the workers were very friendly. It was a nice and clean restaurant. Ate there for my birthday lunch with a few former co-workers. The only thing is that the restaurant is a little bit hidden if you’re driving by. You might not notice the restaurant with all the trees in front of the place.
Best Japanese food I had in bay area so far. Freshness of their salmon is obvious. Flavor of soy bean source is perfect. Waitress thoughtfully refills water and recommends sushi combination. Every crew in this place is so kind and joyful. They put all hearts into this restaurant and make it a truly enjoyable experience.
Sushi was fresh and reasonably priced. I ordered the Chirashi Don and really liked it.

I wasnt a fan of this one. Parking was a chore. The restaurant is either right next to or part of a hotel and it wasnt clear whether the two establishments shared underground parking, so we didnt go in. There were four of us, but they only gave us three menus. Not a huge deal, I shared with the wife. The thing that really bothered me was that someone back in the kitchen was smoking cigarettes. The smell was nauseating and after it passed, they lit up a second one. This also probably means there were people working in the kitchen around the food without masks. Maybe that bothers you at this point or maybe it doesnt, but the servers wear masks, so it kind of felt like they were just trying to placate us. The food didnt come out together... we all kind of took turns eating. The food was fine, but not fantastic or anything. The price was average, but still not worth the price for the experience, especially with so many other sushi/Japanese food places so nearby.
Nice staff, food is overpriced though and quite average. It is a plus that theyre open from 3-5PM though as many sushi spots are not.Definitely one of my last choices though. Very small portions, bento boxes are more expensive than all other sushi places near by.
Wait there for lunch delivery. Hi Don’t go there unless you OK to wait for 40 min to get your rolls!The food is good but the wait time is ridiculous especially with the competition around. Really upset. Communication is bad too.
We were seated in a far corner and they kept on forgetting we were there. They forgot multiple parts of our order. The food was ok/good and they did replace the item they got wrong, but there was plenty of hand waving involved in getting their attention.
I highly recommend bashamichi sushi. Great food, friendly service, not pricey. I deliver food 80% of my orders that I pick up for my clients is bashamichi sushi. Weve taken out the Lovers combo a couple of times, and well continue to go back for their excellent food. The sashimi slices were generous, and they do both traditional (nigiri) and non-traditional (rainbow & spider rolls) sushi well. The Lovers combo also comes with miso soup, which is good. The portion size is large, and the price is reasonable.

If youre brave enough to eat hotel Sushi, you probably have a stomach built for pain. Took a gamble on this place bc of the ratings and my order for 3 people took 45 mins longer to be ready- after I had arrived for the initial 40 mins they said it would take. Ok fine Im here Ill just wait. When we finally brought the food back, it was missing a side order! The food was very average considering the price but by then the whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth and I was left hungry and very unsatisfied. Much better Japanese restaurants nearby.

I’ve ordered delivery and takeout from here. I’ve only ever ordered their rolls. Theyre fresh and packaged neatly in their containers. If the restaurant wasn’t so far away, I’d order more often.
We ordered the dragon roll, bashamichi sushi plate, hamachi kama and amaebi and everything tasted great. The sushi was fresh and didnt have too much rice. The hamachi kama was soft and seasoned well. I will come back again.

They were out of hamachi kama, which has happened to me at many sushi places, so I would say its pretty common. I got the sake kama instead. It was not dry or over-cooked, which I would say is not very common at sushi places. Kudos.The kama, a sushi roll, and a mango nigori was the perfect dinner.I still cant stop thinking about that nigori. I think I had a dream about it. 🥭

What a great place! Lots of unique Japanese cuisine items you wont find elsewhere. Staff are friendly and helpful. You can park for free in the La Quinta garage if you eat there.

2022-11-15 22:45:42This place is the bomb! My husband and son found it by accident and it has become the go to place on the way to the airport. Fish was fresh and done perfectly. Rolls were beautifully presented and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. I had the unagi bowl and it was great but could have been a little warmer. Service was perfect and we will be back! Very reasonably priced. You will enjoy it.

The idea of dining in a sushi restaurant literally located underneath the room floors of La Quinta inns sounds a little shady, but the best places Ive eaten at are exactly located in a humble setting. I was heading to the airport and wanted dinner before my flight. This location was only 10 minutes away from the terminals so it was very convenient, and for some reason my gut was telling me to go here and I am so glad I did!My beau and I started off our meal with a bowl of miso soup, and Hamachi blossom which is an appetizer Crudo. There is a ponzo sauce on top of it with a slight creme. Then we have our entourage of nigiri. I have noticed with this place that their sushi pieces are served dressed up. There is additional toppings on some, sauces on some, or the scallops are seared with a blowtorch, and the fattier fish has wasabi in it to cut the fattiness. I appreciate the attention to detail, and it reminds me of the time Ive had omakase. How each piece is different, has a story to speak for themselves.Also, last thing to note, free parking! Just on the left of the hotel check in entrance and you can turn into the car garage that leads down.Gochisosama! :)

2022-10-25 05:07:56Its safe to have high expectations of this place because everything will meet those standards. From the professional, friendly waiter (hes so nice!) And the quality of their fish and especially the uni. You have to try the uni and walu. This place had the midnight diner feel to it and their sake variety was well chosen. Great quality sushi isnt meant to be eaten in huge amount nor in buffets. To add one more thing, the prices are so reasonable especially during hard times where ingredients are expensive.

2023-11-25 04:57:53Went for lunch with a small group. I got a bento box with sashimi, we also ordered some katsu curry and some of their specialty rolls. Everything was delicious, service was good. If your hankering for some good sushi I would definitely recommend this place.

2021-06-08 05:59:33Quality food with excellent service and reasonable price. At first we were skeptical about the location because it was literally in the hotel, but this place turned out to be good. The waitress was super helpful and suggested a couple good dishes. I could tell the food was going to be good because the waitress was very enthusiastic and proud of the food they were serving. She told us that their wasabi is the actual grated wasabi (山葵), not chemical combined ones that people usually get in the store. The omakase sashimi came with aojiso (青紫蘇）that tasted like high quality toothpaste (aojiso is often used in high quality Japanese restaurants). We also liked the fatty tuna nigiri (chu-toro, the middle part that has both otoros oil and akamis meat). The breading of their fried tempura mix is very well balanced. Chicken and pork katsu could use a little hint of salt for people who dont like tonkatsu sauce.
