Basils Deli and cafe in Canoga Park

Excellent customer service. My family enjoyed all the sandwiches ordered. Sicily and Pastrami were my favorites. The meat was freshly cut, and the bread was super fresh.

There are the larger chains and there are the smaller mom and pops. This smaller sandwich shop, while it may be couple bucks more than others, is well worth the money. Huge selection of sandwiches and more. They only had 2 workers, Roshai and Herman, which were very respectful (yes sir yes maam) and very professional. I had the Spicy Scott which was awesome. Plenty of meat and cheese and the bread was very tasty.To the manager please give these guys a raise. They are hard and dedicated workers that take pride in their jobs. As a former CEO I would work hard to keep them.

The best Italian subs in the valley. I always get the Sicily and it never disappoints me. No matter what sandwich you get, it’s always loaded and gets messy all the time. I don’t mind it at all.

I have to admit . Takes me back to my childhood when sandwiches were not commercialized and made with passion and authenticity in mind. The owners are the most friendly couple Ive ever met. Im hooked for life. Very generous with their meats. I love their special sauce. Thank you for an amazing experience

Went in for some breakfast sandwiches today and was helped by Herman. He was very welcoming and helpful! They have lots of options for breakfast and even more for lunch. I got the breakfast #3 with my dad and we both enjoyed it SOOO MUCH!! The sandwiches on display on the tv looked really good too! Definitely my new go to spot for sandwiches. I believe the other guy was Nick, he was also friendly! 10/10!!!!!!Friendly staff ✅Quality food ✅Lots of options ✅

Absolutely THE best. Every sandwich is flavor-packed, made fresh and delicious! The staff were wonderful (Herman and Ricardo made us feel like part of the family!) Truly should be everyone’s go-to stop!

A small place, that may require a keen eye to see it over on the east side of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, somewhat across from Lowes. Its right next to the nail shop and Korean BBQ.Basils Deli and Cafe is worth finding! The sandwiches are fantastic, with excellent meat, delicious fresh bread, generous portions and construction by Basil, who is cheerful, fun and loves what he does.The menus are extensive, and they have a separate breakfast menu with excellent bagel and egg sandwiches. The lunch menus include hot sandwiches with hilarious names and fantastic recipes, and of course the cold sandwiches we would come to expect from an Italian deli, but also with great combinations and names. Basil likes what he builds for you, and you can tell when you get the sandwich! Good stuff!

I was in the neighborhood and wanted to get a deli sandwich after 4pm so the original place I wanted to go to was closed. This place popped up and Im so glad that the previous place was close. The bread was soft, there was an abundance of ingredients on it, lots of topping and wonderfully flavor sauce where it didnt soak through the bread. Service was great too. If you expect your sandwich to be made asap like subways, dont go here. If you want quality and can sit and relax, this is your place.Oh and the lemon coco can drink was refreshing!

WOW!!! This is my first time at Basils Deli. I purchased the Italian Tuna sandwich. It is DELICIOUS 😋. EVERYONE IS VERY KIND. Best Italian deli in the SFV.

There’s a lot more to Basil’s Deli than just sandwiches. They also have a delicious selection of dessert pastries, Italian pasta and sauces, and other Italian goodies. I loved the turkey sub I got. It was huge but I ate it all during lunch and got some pasta and sauce for dinner. Definitely recommend this place!
