Serenity, peacefulness, quiet, relaxing. Have a seat along the Back Bay pier of Morro Bay, watch the tide roll in or out. Or the fog creep in. Bring binoculars to spot the many kinds of birds doing the same.Great place to put in for easy kayaking, but make sure you check the tide. Grab a coffee, or tea and goodies at the quaint Back Bay Cafe.Walk or drive around to Sweet Springs park for more beautiful nature, and short trails. Enjoy.

Very cool area, most Morro Bay visitors miss out on this area. If you drive down South Bay Blvd. toward Los Osos dont miss this area. There is a cool painted bear here, I posted a photo and more of the area from the street. Looks like a good restaurant nearby but I didnt eat there

Picture is VERY misleading. The bay is only this full on very rare occasions. My kids and dog didnt complain though, as they had a little beach to play on. Just be careful of the muddy spots. We saw a boy lose a shoe out there!

Beautifully quaint little pier right at shoreline of Morro Bay with quiet shallow wetlands and its small boats off the beaten path of tourism. This is just the perfect spot to breath in the calm of the bay and hear the silence of nature. I like to stop here to recharge and meditate.

Great sunset watching, nice area for walking & photographs. I had an A+ vegetarian- vegan dinner on 2/5/2022 at Nois 2ND STREET CAFE - TOFU STIR FRY VEGETABLES! (I am not vegetarian just like to eat plant based often).

Quiet little beach front, with beautiful views and local restaurants to dine at. Great place to walk the dog or take your small children. Georgeous sunsets and great bird watching. Excellent spot to launch a kayak or canoe, the water is usually glassy when its not windy.

Great little strip of sand for playing. At mid tide levels you have a nice bit of sand and a little water. Reasonably sheltered from the wind, these last few months have been beautiful and warm.Excellent launch point for kayaks, canoes or SUP.At low tide, the mud can be terribly deep and stinky if your dog strays too far out from the sand.My dog would give it 5 stars as well. Enough clean sand to run and play. Mid level tides have enough water to go for a swim or at least wade in and dip your belly to cool off.Coffee shop a balls throw away for a little snack or warm up.

Are you overfull from eating at that great Thai place down the street? Is your toddler losing his F-ing mind because s/he had to behave in a cafe for half an hour? Go here. Its got a great little beach and boardwalk thing. You can walk off your lunch and run your kid until s/hes tired.

Such a nice serene spot in a quiet area with only a few tourist type venues. Great for a sunset moment off the beaten path.The highlight for locals, is the nearby Monday Farmers Market. There is a quite reasonable Inn right on site as well.

I went up to baywood park with my grand daughter and found our visit to be a wonderful experience. The people were very happy and it was a great time had by all, even for a 5 year old. I would recommend it to families of all ages. Keep up the good job!! Deb
