* 100 stars; They play Mamamoo! IYKYK. *First time here, just walked in and the server was Thaomi (says the receipt, lol). She was very helpful with suggestions.We got the Spicy Galbi, Cheesling Fries, and Rosé Ddeok-Bokki.Really tasty, good flavor. I would definitely come back again. Ill have to rate the soy-garlic.Price is similar to like BonChon but the portions are fairly big. Made to order so about 20-25 min.Had a good experience.

Got their small spicy kalbi boneless chicken wings, and it was enough for two people. Really big wings. Unfortunately, you can only pick one flavor. It took about 25 minutes to prepare. Overall, its decent. One of our orders got mixed up, and instead of boneless, we got boned in (no big deal).

Crispy chicken with a clean eating experience. There are options if you like either a saucy chicken or dry rub chicken. The pictures on the menu are a great reference.I ordered the Red Chak Chak wings which is a dry-rub with mild spice. The wings came out in ~20 minutes. It was warm, crispy, and had just the right kick. I wasnt able to order half-half for wings and could only get it in 1 flavor per order. If you want to sample flavors, Id recommend ordering in the small size.I really liked how they offered disposable thin gloves in-case you dont want your hands to be saucy. Only tricky part to this place is that the plaza was packed during a weekend lunch. Otherwise, Ill definitely swing by again. Id want to try their Black Pepper chicken next.

First time trying this place. We ordered the soy garlic wings, honey garlic wings, rosé ddeok-bokki with cheese. Everything tasted great. This place is pretty casual, you set your own table and get your own food when name is called. It’s packaged up to-go style even if you’re eating there.I went at 5:00pm on a Saturday and service was a bit slow. Took about 40 minutes for our order and other patrons were also getting restless waiting for their orders before we even got there. This was the only downside.We found out about this place from a Bay Area Foodies video, however, they went to the Sunnyvale location so maybe we will try that one next time.

Heard about this new Korean Chicken spot and thought Id try it out. Although the food is a little pricey, the chicken was well seasoned, had a good crunch, tasted moist, and came in medium sized pieces.What I ordered was the 10 piece Boneless Chicken in the Secret Spicy Sauce.What I liked about this chicken was that it stayed pretty crunchy despite being covered in sauce and was only slightly spicy. The sauce was also sweet. You taste the sweetness first then the spicy. The spiciness kind of stays with you but its less than a mild spice so you can still eat comfortably. Overall, the chicken was good and I want to try something different next time!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. It wasnt crowded because it was 2 PM. Ive heard of this brand before in Vegas, so I was glad they have a location in Norcal.Cleanliness was okay. The service is very friendly. The employees seemed like they were all friends from school. They also had other friends come in to hang out with them.We got an order of original flavor wings and also a hot spicy wings. for the price, I think it leans on the higher side. Its not as big as Bonchon or other chicken places. I was surprised at how spicy the hot spicy was! For a spice lover like me, it was perfect. The radishes were refreshing to accompany the spicy wings. However, if youre a mild spice eater, it might be too spicy for you. It makes me wonder how spicy the spiciest wings on their menu is!Id love to come back to try the other flavors, but I wish we were able to do combos with other flavors besides the original and hot spicy. Its like 10 pieces of wings for a medium, so you cant mix and match or order a lot. I also wish the prices were displayed for the drinks.

Good selection of Korean fried chicken. I went with a group of 5 to this location and we enjoyed being able to sample more of the flavors. I liked the soy garlic and original, but thought the secret spicy could have been spicier. The sauces overall felt like they skewed a little on the sweeter side if you like that.Went in on a Friday around dinner time and it was a 60 minute wait for food if after you order so I suggest ordering ahead for pick up. No table service, but after you pick up your food, you could sit at some of the open tables indoors or outside to eat.In addition to the chicken we also ordered the kimchi fried rice and rose tteokbokki. I really liked the rose treokbokki which was a nice change from the traditional tteokbokki flavor (has cream in it).

Was looking for a quick lunch that wasnt pizza and this was surprisingly good. Tried the Hot Spicy and loved it. I think the 3 of 4 spicy rating was pretty accurate. I enjoy some spice and had just the start of a little eye watering. Tried the Secret Sauce too. It was good but not as good as the other. Maybe too much sauce? At least compared to the Hot Spicy. Would absolutely go again. Chicken itself was delicious too (if not just really hot inside).

Youve probably seen this chicken shop in many Korean Dramas like Crash Landing on You and Goblin... or maybe you saw BTS eating it! For whatever reason, Im glad they came to the Bay Area. I have tried BBQ Chicken locations in Southern California and they were mediocre, but this Apple Park location exceeded my expectations!The chicken is incredibly juicy here!Very tender and crunchy on the outside.I ordered the Half & Half Whole Chicken for my boyfriend and I to share. It came with about 20 pieces for $32.99. A bit pricey. 10 secret spicy, and 10 golden original crispy. The secret spicy was very saucy, packed with garlic flavor, and had a nice sweetness to it. Not too spicy! The golden original was SO GOOD. A nice crunch and a light oil flavor. Very satisfying and tender. They also provide gloves for eating the chicken, which is very helpful.Im docking off a star from my rating though because I did find two small black hairs on our chicken pieces.

The chicken wings were delicious! Everyone really enjoyed their choices.We ordered 3 different flavors. Spicy Galbi, Secret Spicy and Hot & Spicy. Our favorite was the Galbi and the S Spicy. The latter was too hot for me.The service was fairly quick, considering all the chicken was freshly battered and fried.Thaomi, the person who took our order was friendly and upbeat.Were definitely be back!😋

The food quality is excellent here, there is no doubt about that but the service here is lacking. Friday nights are the worst time to come here because it’ll take about 40+ minutes or so for your order to be done. The first time I came here there wasn’t a long wait, it was a Saturday night and it took 20 minutes only and our order was correct so it was good. Second time we came here was a Friday night and our order took almost 50 minutes and they gave us an estimated time of 30minutes. My friend asked for 2 ranches and said we’ll pay for them and the lady said they already come with them but I’ll give you extra. But once we got home we seen that she gave us 4 containers of pickled daikon 🤦🏻‍♀️ the third time we went was last Friday night and the wait was 30 minutes but we did order 30 min before closing. We got our ranches this time but she got my order wrong. I ordered spicy crispy original but I received just the original crispy. And my pieces of chicken were a lot smaller than my friends who ordered the soy garlic.I would say that this place should workOn their timing, communication and consistency in food quality. I would still come here and recommend this place but with a warning ⚠️.At first I didn’t get why this place had a low rating but now I can see why.

Absolutely love this place!!! I first heard of bb.q chcken in a Korean drama and I was sooooo excited to hear that they had locations near me. Ive been to other locations and the quality is 10/10 regardless of where you go. The chicken always comes out nice and hot and super crispy. When they say spicy, it can be spicy! They have a good number of sauce options and they are all so good so you cant go wrong with any of them. They all come with pickled daikon which is a great palate cleanser.The staff here are super nice and willing to give recommendations. There is plenty of parking in the plaza but it can get pretty busy since theres so many good food and boba shops around. Because all of the chicken is freshly made, be prepared to wait or order ahead to try their delicious chicken!

Best Korean fried chicken Ive ever had! I got the boneless secret spicy chicken. I always love the sweet and spicy flavor option at KFC places, and the secret spicy sauce definitely met my expectations. The chicken was probably the most tender of any KFC place that Ive had. If I had to describe this place compared to other KFC places, Id say it combines the thin coating, crispiness, and large chicken pieces of Bonchon KFC with the moist chicken and slightly more wet sauce of Left Wing KFC. I also tried the rose tteokbokki with cheese added, which was delicious as well. The sauce was really unique and not too creamy and also not too spicy. My only complaint about the tteokbokki was the lack of fish cakes. The rice cakes were plentiful but it definitely could have used some more fish cakes. However both the rice cakes and fish cakes were cooked to a perfect texture.

Best fried chicken in the area!!! I used to go to bbq in LA (in Westwood) all the time when I lived in LA. When I moved to the bay 3 years ago, I was so sad that there wasnt bbq in the bay. Yesterday I was on Instagram and their ad popped up. So I went ahead and ordered a take out from them today.I ordered boneless secret spicy, honey garlic wings and rose ddeokboki. The chicken is crispy outside and moist inside (겉바속촉). The sauces taste perfect. Exactly what I expected/wanted. The rose ddeokboki is so delicious. Ive always wanted to try it as it’s been a new thing in Korea. Though I dont know what its supposed to taste like, bbqs rose is super delicious. I immediately fell in love with it!!! From now on, Im only going to order korean fried chicken from bbq. Thank you for opening one in the bay!!! 🙏🏼

Great food, friendly service, and good seating. We had some drumsticks and boneless wings and they were delicious. I see that most of the negative reviews here are in regards to the long wait. They seem to have addressed this by having a wait time display at the order kiosk, which was very accurate for us. It can also help you know that you will actually have to wait sometimes if the traffic is busy. I like their receptiveness to people’s feedback here.

This place has a lot of potential but a serious quality control issue. I ordered take out and waited an extra 10 minutes than promised for the order for 2 flavors of small wings. The first flavor was not consistently placed on the wings - some wings had a lot of the spice powder while other wings had very little or none. The second flavor was completely wrong - I ordered something spicy and saucy and I got crispy wings with no flavor.I have gotten take out from restaurants before where the order was wrong but those orders were complex. I really didn’t think a chicken order with 2 flavors could have a mistake so I didn’t even think to check. After all, how can a 25 min order go wrong?The only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because I was promised a refund for the mistake.

Today, we came in good moods and wanted to sit down for a chicken and beers. After ordering and paying incl. a quite good tip, we sat down and waited. ...and waited....and waited. After 35min I was inquiring about the status, of course it was still in the making. After 50min they called us to the counter and handed us over the chicken, all wrapped in a plastic bag, as if I ordered it for take-out. I picked up the chicken: Half and Half(Original & Secret sauce), honey garlic, and original wings. My family loves the honey garlic wings and the original wings, but the whole original chicken was a bit dry. The secret sauce was good, too. We would come back for their wings next time. One thing I was disappointed with was that I ordered 5 pickled radishes for the family of 5, but there were only 4 picked radishes. I hope they would check the right order next time.

At the current moment, this is the best Korean style fried chicken I could get at any moment. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone to try. The only problem that occurs here that made me not give them a 5 star review is that their timing for the order is all over the place. This is my recommendation, but if you’re ordering for a pick up; do what I’m about to tell you to the letter for the best fried chicken takeout. If you’re ordering for a pickup on DoorDash, make sure to get there 15-20 minutes early than what is suggested for the recommended time given out by the application. I’ve had too many orders that was cold by the time, when the food was picked up. Normally I’d recommend also to eat at the restaurant, but seating is very minimal and occasionally very unsanitary. Parking at this particular area could also trip you up as well. But overall their Golden Original boneless chicken is absolutely gorgeous and I’d highly recommend GangJung sauce on the side to dip. Just pure ecstasy if you don’t mind few hiccups.

I would give 0 star if I can. My family ordered a whole chicken + half chicken + rose ddukbboki online. I drove about 20 min to pick up the order. An employee checked my name and gave me a bag. When I came back, we realized that there was no rose ddukbboki in the bag. I called the store right away and explained it. Five stars for the rose tteokbokki alone! It’s a flavor bomb that I highly recommend with cheese. The rice cakes have a very unique texture—chewy yet soft. Portions were pretty small for that dish, especially with added cheese and given the price and the fact that nothing in the dish is particularly expensive. However, it’s pretty rare to find solid tteokbokki in the bay—especially rose flavored.The plain friend chicken was sadly pretty oily for my order (I had my order delivered). It was pretty soggy with oil and the oil had reached the chicken itself as well.I may give the chicken another shot but will mainly just go back for the tteokboki and to try other dishes.

I ate it 1 hour and 10 minutes after ordering... the sauce wasnt evenly spread and some parts had bones... The store had a market-like atmosphere... the staff wasnt properly trained.
