⭐⭐⭐⭐My first time at this location, and I was impressed with the dining rooms atmosphere; its one of the nicer-looking BCDs. We were seated promptly, and the soon tofu soup I ordered was delicious, although a bit on the pricey side, which seems to be a trend at similar restaurants in recent years. The assortment of side dishes was quite tasty.The staff was friendly and attentive, which enhanced the overall experience. Parking was a breeze on the day of my visit, although Ive experienced it get busy at times. Worth a try if youre in the mood for some good Korean cuisine!

BCD Tofu House is the best, in my opinion! Tried many tofu houses, and this is our favorite spot. Free hot tea and all the side dashes with fish! Always come back when we are around the area.

First time visiting this BCD Tofu location and was surprised to find the restaurant not that busy during weekend lunch time. We ordered the galbi Combination and a separate tofu soup. The stone pot rice that came with the meal was very disappointing as it was hard and not as good as other locations. The Galbi was good and recommended. The tofu soups were lacking flavor and the medium spice level tasted more like mild. Service was very good but the food was not as good as other BCD Tofu locations. Will not be coming back to this location.

Clean environment. Efficient and attentive staff. Ordered galbi combo with seafood tofu soup and seafood pancake. Plenty of food for 2 people. It would be perfect if the pancake was crunchier and a little less doughy - but it is still good as it! Food was hot and fresh. Perfect for a cold California winter night :)

Their service was very bad. One thing that stood out was when we entered the old lady rushed us to order and was very impatient. She had obvious racial bias towards us. The young man came later was fine and rather observant. The food was mediocre at best. Overall it was a rather unpleasant trip. Most staff speaks bad English and could not communicate effectively. At this time I do not recommend this location.

Always a pleasurable experience no matter which location. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and is always very busy. The tofu soup is what we come for, and they never disappoint. Be aware they are on the spicier side of spicy, so if you dont like a lot of spice get the mild or medium if you want a kick. Sides are always fresh, and the grilled meats are always tasty, and of good quality.

I may have been a little harsh here with the four stars but it’s only because I go to a lot of different types of tofu houses.BCD is a chain at the end of the day, but this is a cleaner version of all of the other ones I’ve ever been to. Most likely because this is one of the newest ones and locations so I would say that the meals are still higher quality than the others.The staff checks on you from time to time, but I feel like they can be a little bit more accommodating with asking if I wanted more sides or refilling my drinks.I’m big on service and just want people to have the common sense of asking some thing that we may need if there is empty plates or cups.The staff is nice though, so they still get four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Obviously at BCD, it is not only Vegan, but there are vegan options.In any case, come check it out !

The service is good and they refill kimchi and side dishes with a push cart which reminds me of dim sum carts. The sofa seats are a bit tight so the standalone tables are a better choice for more space. Prices are a bit higher than at similar style of restaurant. Fried tofu at 8.99 is a bit steep. Comparable dishes at other restaurants are almost 40% less. Overall, it’s good food but a bit less value for money.

All the free appetizer sides are delicious. The entree meat and the soups have always been so consistent and so tasty. This is honestly my go-to (I feel like a regular here) restaurant. Service is usually great except at the busiest of times, but that’s an exception. I recommend the bulgogi, galbi, or spicy pork bulgogi for entrees. My favorite tofu soup is the ham, cheese, and sausage. The seafood pancake (rarely order as it’s too much food) is also darn good if you’re extra hungry.

This is my goto korean tofu place. However, quality of tofu soup is not the same everytime I go. But overall with the appetizers (ayce) is all good. Parking may quite be a challenge. Service is just a-ok, most servers speak very little english.

This spot was in a very quiet and dimly lit shopping center. We did find plenty of parking spots open, most shops were closed except this one. On this particular night many people walked in and had take out orders. I dined in and was greeted by this very kind young woman. She spoke Korean and Spanish very well. Kudos to her. She told us to pick a seat and order at the counter when ready. We had the Stone Bibimbap, this makes the rice crunchy as opposed to the regular Bibimbap. To put it in my cultural terms it’s a “Molcajete Caliente.” Along with the bowl you get a miso soup and unlimited sides. You get up and get them yourself, buffet style. They do ask not to overfill your plate, keeping waste in mind. Solid 7/10 for the bowl. 8/10 overall experience.

If youre looking for a late night place thats open then this is it. Theyre open until 12 midnight with warm hot tofu soup and other Korean food. Their original beef tofu soup and seafood pancake are my favorite dishes here. My husband prefers the beef bibimbap. The side dishes are great too! I think this is the only place where they serve you a whole tiny yellow corvina fish as a side dish. I took my family who visited from the Philippines here and they ended up coming back twice haha. They loved the galbi and the kids love the kids set with dumplings and beef. Check them out, youll keep coming back.:)

My first time taking my young kids to a Korean place. I had never been here either. The kids meals were perfect for them. They love Korean food now :) I loved the sides of kimchi, vegetables and that potato was so fluffy and yummy. They also come around to give seconds, a pleasant surprise. Very courteous servers though it was busy. Customers also seemed patient and happy with the food, even to strike up a conversation with some. I LOVED the soon tofu soup! Wow, so good. It is a bit pricey but we were full and left with leftovers. Will go again.

For the last month I notice they only have two waitresses, this is too much for them, they used to have four waitresses, now the service is sloppy, the food does not taste the same, the waitress messed up my bill, it took her awhile to fix it, looks like they have new manager or something had changed, it used to be one of my favorite restaurants, I don’t think I’ll becoming here any time soon, also they did not have our favorite the fry fish, am sorry that am not gonna be coming here any time soon, I hope management fixes what ever needs to be fix

Super yummy place ! It was my first time at this chain and I wasn’t disappointed! Everything was so warm and delicious. The portions are plentiful, definitely enough to eat and take some home for the next day! The service wasn’t bad either, and they’re now doing indoor and outdoor dining. I ENJOYED EATING AT THIS PLACE, BUT I HAVE TO CLARIFY THE 5 STARS.So I came here to eat after my workout Sunday afternoon and saw that it was already full. Waited less than 10 min for a seat which was good. I know Korean from my time working in South Korea, so I was familiar with the food and menu, as well as proper etiquette. Sat next table to a guy who was incredibly rude, a typical negative stereotype of an ugly American, fat, no manners and just plain awful. I did not hear him say please or thank you once. My server was his as well. I saw other servers interact with customers as well and noticed very few pleases and thank yous from the customers, just give me more of this or that... It seems people dont want to be civil anymore. She was attentive, on the move and professional. As someone who works in retail, customer service for me is at the top, so I clearly had empathy for the server. I deal with difficult situations sometimes and it can get hectic when it is very busy. I ordered the seafood tofu soup with some rice wine and a beer. Everything tasted great. However, I had to go to the bathroom at one point and once I got back to my table, they had cleared my table, including the last beer I ordered more than half full. It seems they just wanted to seat more people, so I understand. I then stood to the side on the register waiting to pay along with other guests waiting to be seated or paying. I hope I get a promotion deal or a freebie for that beer because throwing away an alcoholic drink for a customer that wanted to finish it is a MORTAL SIN. The manager apologized and I said OK, just that I wont be tipping for the meal. I will be back here though, because although there was that grave mistake in the end, I enjoy the food and service here.Just would recommend to go at a time that is not so busy.

Came here recently.The food is good.. you get a nice array of sides.I ordered the Son Seafood tofu. My brother ordered the Beef Tofu.Both looked good and tasted good.I think you can have a balanced meal hear... it doesnt feel super heavy.Id recommend going here when its not too crowded.

Ive been going to this BCD for nearly 9 years. The service has improved post pandemic. I normal share the bulgogi combo with my life partner and sometimes we get a seafood pancake or japchae or dumplings or all of them! We used to get individual combos but thats a lot of food! Sharing and eating slowly and less has improved our overall experience. We used to fail at finishing the tofu soup until we realized that the ham and sausage (and cheese) soup is the most flavor packed, get this one! We sometimes get galbi but we finish it too quickly. For galbi, I recommend all you can eat at some other place (Gen). The hot tea here is also really good and dont forget to put hot water into the empty stone pot for dessert porridge. TIL the strips of brown gluteny matter are fish cake strips.

We had the Galbi, Bulgogi, and Chicken Teriyaki, along with the Tofu and Japchae. Everything was piping hot, and the portions were great for sharing. I love Korean food and been to so many different tofu houses in OC and LA. So far, this location is 3.5/5. If youre craving korean tofu soup and there isnt one near your area then BCD might be a good option. But their quality has been going down and portions are much more smaller than before. The meals dont taste good as how it looks... Its very deceiving... 😢 I prefer a different location then this place. Its too crowded. The tables has no space for the entrees and not enough space to move around. This restaurant seems fancy and big in the front but when your seated its way too small. Its just not a good place to go if you want a romantic dinner! The service isnt great. I would not recommend this for anyone to try. I recalled that they only had one restroom for female. 🤔😕

Noise level low to medium as people started to come in.The food was fresh and came at appropriate time. We had soondubu, one with and one without kimchi, one mild (seafood), one very spicy (beef); they came boiling. The vegetables were fresh but kimchi was on the sweet side and not spicy at all. The fish were crisp. The to-go beef ribs were ok, too much fat and tendons for me. My husband loved it.The waitresses were friendly and smiling.Worth going back

Great place for soondubu. Theyre generally quick to serve you and get your order. At its worst, Ive had a hard time getting water, so I just try to avoid busier hours. I come here a lot and havent had any issues. They got my order wrong one and they quickly addressed the issue. Also liking the new store location/look, even though the plazas parking is a nightmare.

The website recommended the chicken teriyaki combo and I found it tasted very stale. I asked for some soy sauce to try to add more flavor, but all I tasted after was just meat that didn’t taste like anything with soy sauce and some rice. Not to mention it is very pricey. For example, the soda is $2 without refill’s, and the entree’s go up to $22 without tax. Also, not that much flavor to say once again. Wouldn’t recommend.

After a movie at the LB Town Center, I was craving some food from the homeland and I knew there was a BCD in Cerritos. Id never been to this one before but if theres one thing you can count on with BCD, its consistency--I got exactly what I wanted and expected and it was great. I was super-hungry so I got their naengmyun (cold noodles)/galbi combo. I almost always get the seafood soft tofu, but when I saw that they were offering the summer seasonal favorite naengmyun I had to get it. It wasnt the best, by any means, but it really hit the spot. Their fried fish was especially good that night, better than the ones Id recently had at their LA and Garden Grove locations, and the ajummas were super-nice. Even my vegetarian companion was able to get a bibimbap with tofu and we noticed that they actually had a surprising number of veggie dishes. The galbi was also good (not too fatty) and I left a happy camper. It might not be the best and/or cheapest soft tofu around, but you gotta love the convenience and consistency.

If you like spicy Korean tofu soup, then this place will fill your stomach nicely. Logistics getting to this location are pretty easy, its in a large shopping center and there is plenty of parking. If youre lucky youll get one of the few dedicated spots right in front of the restaurant. Theres no way to tell just how policed the spaces are, lets just hope that the patrons of the nearby stores are honest.Those not familiar with Korean food might feel a little overwhelmed. Its best to take somebody whos eaten here before to walk you through it (also it helps if you have a Korean speaker with you, most of the staff I came in contact with didnt speak the greatest English, but to me thats a GOOD thing, I have a weird thing about authenticity [although Id venture a guess that the only language spoken behind the door to the kitchen is Spanish {Im not being racist, Ive seen it many times before}]).First youll be presented with an array of appetizers which are included with the price of your meal. Probably the most unsettling for the uninitiated is the whole fried fish. And I mean a whole fish, guts and all. But the meat is easy enough to pick off the bone, and the skin is unnoticeable beneath the fried breading. Theyre all pretty good, just pick around and try new things.The tofu soup (soon-tubu), will come BOILING HOT in a stone pot. You are given lots of different meat choices and combination possibilities, as well as spiciness level (Medium is pretty spicy, but not terrible... If its adventure and danger you seek, order DANGER!). They also have a list of dinner entrees. We didnt try any of them for a couple of reasons. 1) We were there for the soup, and 2) They seemed over priced. Im reluctant to pay $18 for a dish at a moderately fancy restaurant with an extensive wine list, let alone a soup joint. I imagine they dont sell a lot of the entrees.My only criticism of my bowl of kimchee and pork soon-tubu is that it seemed really low on the kimchee and pork and had TONS of tofu chunks. So for $10, I got a bowl of tofu ...... aaaaand somekimcheeandpork. Id rather pay $12 for a bowl and have a measurable amount of the ingredients I opted for. Regardless, the soup is tasty and thats fine. Before you get your meal, your rice is brought in stone pots, and scooped out into metal bowls. At the bottom of the pot is the rice that is burnt to the pot, and hot water is poured into the stone pots to loosen the burnt rice as an after-dinner treat. If you like rice youll like it. If you dont care much then hey, its just the burnt rice at the bottom.Lastly, they have free tubs of ice cream for you to serve yourself. While I enjoyed my free scoop if vanilla ice cream, I do wish that instead they provided their restaurants with soft serve machines instead of a scooper thats just left out in the open with strangers getting their grubby just-licked-soon-tubu-off-of-their-fingers hands.

The BCD in Cerritos is newer than the Garden Grove location. We went to BCD as an alternative to Gerrys Grill, which was packed. Dont be mistaken that the absence of a wait at BCD equates to lackluster food. BCD delivered once again with their kimchee soup with pork and tofu, medium spicy. It was so tasty, I could have eaten that by itself. I had the Kalbi ribs combo, which comes with rice in a hot pot, and an assortment of small plated sides. We left very satisfied and will be back.

(DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUN!!!!)Kudos to you, BCD, for using only organic tofu.How convenient! The menu is also the placemat. Glancing over all the options, I decided upon Seafood Soondubu, heat level:Spicy, $10Piping hot & delicious! The absolute prerequisite before diving into soondubu is to crack an egg in it, followed by a thorough mix. The heat level had me sweating, Ill tell ya. Big chunks of tofu, along with seafood delights, made this small bowl a hearty meal. Caution-the shrimp is head/skin-on. Im fine eating it that way, but others may be put off by it.Of course, Korean meals arent complete w/o being accompanied by banchanI hated it! I hated it so much that I had 2 refills of everything ;p J/K, I loved it! The waitresses were kinda taken aback by me asking for yet another refill.
