Beach Hut Deli in Santa Cruz

I loved the atmosphere and the concept. I give 5 stars on food and because they have options to accommodate to special needs. The atmosphere is cool. The plates are frisbees, the tables are surfboards, the food station does look like a hut, the chairs have palmtrees, everything is both cool and cute. (They just need to powerwash the floors, dont look down)

OMG the best happy accident ever. This place blows all sandwiche shops out of the water. If I were a local Id be a regular. Absolutely delicious!! Sis got Santa Cruz I got La Jolla.

Friendly and helpful service with many array of sandwiches to choose from. Mine was loaded with ingredients a bit too much couldnt close it lol. Chill vibe definitely beachy here and I love that! Recommend if you want a decent sandwich 🥪 😋

It was none other than Trooper Slaggmore that caused me to come down to Santa Cruz. He has a gilded Scallywagger that my old pal Anaconda John has been trying to get for years, and Trooper is giving me first wack at it. So, in the name of friendship, Ill get it for Anaconda, after all I dont need a a gilded Scallywagger....but I do need a bigass sandwich from the Beach Hut Deli!Man-O-Man was it great☆☆☆☆☆!

This place was amazing!!!! Super friendly staff willing to point out places to check out in town.Place is clean and well maintained. Places to sit and enjoy the grub inside or out.With that you are more interested in the food as one should be. They have 3 sizes; regular is 6 large is 9 long and xlarge is 14 that only tells you the length however the width is almost 4 stuffed with veggies and meat. Was a 10 out of 10 will come here again.

Good sandwiches (pro tip: substitute the cream cheese for an alternate cheese). Consistently fantastic, friendly service. Casual, beach-y vibe. Sports and ocean lifestyle shows on the TVs. Fun little beer/wine bar.

I am not a sandwich person but this is super one for me!Soft and warm bread make me happy.We ordered regular size Pig Kahuna, Sunburn and Clam chowder. All are delicious! Even regular size is pretty big and after we have it, we full until dinner.Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Beach Hut Deli.

This place is SO GOOD! And fast!They have a great beer and wine selection in addition to bomb sandwiches.My husband got The Woody. The addition of cream cheese to a sandwich is a game changer. We loved it. I got the Righteous Reuben, and let me tell you... That pastrami is incredible. The sour kraut was a perfect match. Food is on point. I cant wait to try everything else!The restaurant its self got a very nice upgrade with beachy themed booth seating and outdoor seating as well as a bar. Super comfy place to sit and have lunch.The staff are a bunch of very sweet people who were friendly and helpful.Big recommend for Beach Hut Deli!!

I went to Beach Hut yesterdayon 10/07/2023. I wanted to like this place because my friends said that the Sandwiches were amazing...but my very first order was TERRIBLE. I live across town from this place so it takes 10-15 to get there...... so 3 of us placed our orders at the same time 5:58pm. Got a text acknowledgement from toast and then on the Web site the order tracker said it would be ready at 6:18pm. 1st person, a salad and a sandwich, 2nd person two sandwiches and a nacho, 3rd person 2 sandwich. When we got there a few min. Before the estimated ready time, nothing was done yet, so we went next door to the liquor store bought a lot of cold drinks and headed back over. 1st person was done when we got back so us other 2, we waited. At 6:35pm number 2 was ready.(He had Nachos) At 6:45 I asked about my order and the Sandwich maker said they were busy. At 6:53 they called my name and I got a text from toast right after and for the inconvenience he said I could have a bag of chips. I was upset but willing to let it ride. We get back to the house....person number 1 was done correctly, Person number 2..Nachos were soggy due to the long wait and his Daughters Ham sandwich which was supposed to be ham, lettuce and Avo had ONLY Ham and mayo. Person number 3 (me) I ordered the sandwich with jalapeno as well as with the veggies that were described in the app. I got no Jalapenos or the Italian peppers. 2nd Sandwich had no pickles. Seem like small problems but...If we have to wait almost a full hour for Sandwiches, we should have got our order correctly. We have many sandwich places to go to, but we chose the Beach Hut. I understand that sometimes things happen but It was just very frustrating and very time consuming. Maybe the when it will be ready needs to be adjusted or an extra person helping or ??? I saw other people in the back but none made it to the front end except one girl.The Sandwich I had was really good, I just didnt have what I asked for AND I waited a little shy of 1 hour. Not sure I will return.

Omg with this place. The sandwich was absolutely the best I have ever had. Everything about was just perfect. The bread tasted so fresh and cooked perfectly. The turkey was perfect and not to salty. The bacon was cooked to perfection. The added cream cheese made the sandwich spectacular. I can’t believe I have never had that. No other sandwich will measure up. I just wish they would put one in my town.
