A nice place to go with a known and well running concept, overall good food. (But pricey)We have been here a number of times now (special occasions) and the wait time (after your reserved time) varies between 40-60 minutes constantly.This time was one of the worst and with the rush to get through the serving slot at the table, it meant that at the end we waited as long as the dinner itself...

The experience at this location was amazing! Lizz, our server was extremely friendly and on top of it! She made lots of conversation which made us feel welcome and comfortable! Mariano was our chef and he was the best chef we have ever experienced! He did tricks we have never seen before and everything he made was delicious! Steak and Lobster melted in our mouth and the vegetables were to die for! These two made our experience a 10/10. Would definitely return thanks to their service!

The issues I encountered during my visit were highly unsatisfactory and left me feeling frustrated and misled.I would like to address the issue of inaccurate portion sizes. According to the recommended serving sizes provided by the company, each soup order should contain 6.7 ounces. However, my first soup order contained only 4.6 ounces, the second order had 5.1 ounces, and the last order had 4.9 ounces. This inconsistency is unacceptable, especially considering the price I paid for the soups. I paid $21.30 for a total of 14.6 ounces of soup, which is significantly less than the advertised serving size.Similarly, the side order of vegetables I ordered was only 3.7 ounces instead of the recommended 4 ounces. The amount of ginger sauce provided that was paid for was less than a tablespoon, which is inadequate, based again on their 1 ounce standard. Additionally, the hibachi vegetable rice order for two totaled 12.4 ounces instead of the recommended 9.03 ounces per serving for a total of 18.06 ounces to be provided. These discrepancies in portion sizes are misleading and can be seen as a form of fraud.I feel that this is a form of fraud on the resturants behalf and targeting the general public. I have urged Benihanas Restaurant to take immediate action to rectify the situation and hope to receive a response from them at some point, but it is my hope that appropriate measures will be implemented to ensure that other customers do not have to endure such substandard experiences and price gauging.

Reservation is recommended. I had a reservation for 08:15 pm was informed by hostess that they are running behind on reservations. It happens so I tried my best to be patient. I was finally seated around 09:30 pm.Irritated and hungry with my family the waiters service was kind of slow and he was forgetful.CHEF MICHAEL however was absolutely amazing! He was very professional and entertaining. He absolutely has a passion for cooking and loves his career choice and it shows. He was delightful and although the service wasn’t a great experience Michael turned the night around.Thank you Chef Michael!

We had an awesome experience celebrating our son‘s birthday. Benihana chef Michael was outstanding. Not only did he cook our meals perfectly, the dishes were beautifully plated, The beef and vegetables were precisely cut, cooked and arranged in an appetizing manner. While cooking our food, he was an excellent entertainer as well. He came up with several of his own creative cooking skills which really “wowed” us diners. We enjoyed our dining experience and had fun at the same time. Big shout out to Michael for being a superstar Benihana chef!

We have eaten at this Benihana location a number of times, but tonight’s meal really stood out due to our chef Michael. He was extremely personable as well as being a great cook. He didn’t just perform the same old “tricks” that all Benihana chefs do — he definitely entertained us in unique ways. On top of that, the food seemed even more tasty than usual & Michael was very accommodating with special requests.

Although we have reservations, still wait for 15 mins to be seated. And wait for 3o mins to order, total spend 3.5 hours to finish this dinner. Definitely not for kids place. Food portion is quiet small compare to that price. NOT RECOMMENDED!

My favorite is the filet minion steak and the fried chicken rice.Awesome experience with chef on your table. Definitely recommend the experience. The food quality is not the best, but the experience and restaurant vibe are amazing. You will have your special chef, it is fun. It is better to go there in a big group. So you can experience the chef on your table. Onions on fire were amazing.

If you book a table at 9.00pm get prepared to have soup served at 10.00pm 🥲🙃 There were tables available even then we were asked to wait for 35 minutes to be seated and 20mins for the waiter to take your order ! We ordered 5course meal and it took longer than expected for the entrees and side order to be prepared! Food was tasty and drinks were really good. 5 course meal for three and 2 cocktails costed 160$$

My family made this a birthday tradition for my kids, nieces, and nephews. So we go here at least 8 or 9 times a year. It’s still the same, we like the food, but now we just bring home leftovers instead of getting over stuffed.There typically tepanyaki, fried rice, and onion soup are classics… their sushi is just OK IMO and that’s not what we came for anyway.It’s all about the cook, talking too loud, and laughing as a big family!So totally worth checking out if you haven’t. If you’re on a date and want privacy and quiet this is not the place IMO… but if you have a group and want to have a little fun with your meal… 👍

We have been celebrating birthdays and date nights at Benihana for years! The food is always delicious. The Benihana Trio is my favorite dish and the chicken fried rice is the best! My husband loves the sushi rolls - Las Vegas and Spicy Tuna are his favorite. His favorite entree is the chicken Yakisoba with a side of Diablo sauce. We both love the ginger sauce too. We always have great service from staff and our chefs are always friendly, entertaining and accommodating. I am bummed that they dont offer regular dining in the bar/lounge area like they used to pre-covid. Also, the bathrooms could use some upkeep and updating.

I usually loved places like this but sincerely highly disappointed about this place. Made a reservation for a big party, we all get there at the reservation time. Had to wait for our tables like 1 hour and a half. After we are seated, we waited at least another 30 minutes for then just to give us the entries. It took so long and for the price, it is not worth it. Service was good, we loved our chef. The portions we small, they just filled you with a lot of rice 5 eggs for 9 people and like 5 ounces of chicken and that is $7. Plus the main plate which mine was $40. Ended up spending like $60 (including $10 tip) on the photo of this review. Really cant remember this place!

Benihana is a good place to go grab dinner, occasionally. I like how they divide it into sections, where there is a hibachi area and a sushi area.Parking: Busy parking lot, but thankfully there were a few open spots.Customer Service: The staff and the chefs are really friendly.Best Part: All of the dishes were great. It is always a fun and satisfying sight to see the chefs cook your food in front of you. This is also a great way to make new friends because they group parties together.Worst Part: It was hard to understand the waiter. I ordered raspberry lemonade; he thought I said ramune and said We dont have raspberry, but we have original, strawberry, melon, (and so on.) so I had to correct him. Luckily I still got the right drink. We had a reservation for a birthday at 7:30 and were checked in and waiting by 7:30. We were told there would be a 20 minute wait, so we were fine waiting (it was incredibly busy). At 8:05 a large party that was over 30 minutes late was still seated, they had a 7:30 reservation as well, so the reservation system here means nothing because theyll still seat you. Everyone coming in for 7:45, 8:00, 8:15, and even 8:30 reservations were all told it was a 20 minute wait which was an absolute lie. At 8:20 I asked how long it would be to wait (we were again there for a birthday dinner), and theres no seating near the hostess stand or lobby, so at 8.5 months pregnant I had been shifting between standing and sitting on the edge of a window for nearly an hour.. The hostess kept saying we were next. The deciding factor in us leaving was when another party came back up to the hostess stand and said they had been seated over 30 minutes ago and their server had not even been to the table once yet. So we decided we wouldnt wait any longer (already an hour at that point) just to wait even longer to even get a glass of water or be served. What an awful customer service experience, and ruined a planned and reserved birthday dinner.*Lesson learned, read the reviews. This experience is not outside of the norm for this restaurant. Many other diners had the same review. Waiting 2-2.5 hours after their reservation to finally eat.

We read the reviews before going and the people all said that this location was understaffed and slow (3 hr total time). I told my GF to call ahead of time and ask the management about the wait times because we had reservations for 7pm. The reviewers also had reservations and waited for hours. The management told my GF that it wasnt too busy and to come in. We showed up by 7 and had to wait for about 30 min before we were seated, in which time we headed to the bar for drinks to pass the time. It was another 30 min before the chef came out. Chef Michael was great though and made our meal memorable. Overall we spent about 2 1/2 hours there, but since we ordered drinks at the bar while waiting to be seated, the wait was bearable. Overall, it was a great meal but the wait times could be improved. I think the management needs more employees, or to be scheduling reservations in longer increments(not every 15 min).

Great food. The Hibachi Supreme was a great choice, the Chateaubriand was outstanding and perfectly cooked medium rare, the lobster tail was good. Their scallops are excellent. Chocolate icecream and the rainbow sherbet were very good. I will ask for more dressing on the salad next time.The Shrimp Tempura was superb, not oily at all.Very entertaining cooking show. Staff were very attentive.Some wines were out of stock as was a tequila.We plan to return soon. I see they have a happy hour, need to try it next time.

We came here for dinner on a Wednesday night because my sister had a birthday coupon. She called because we were a large party of 8. She was told they were reservation only and the earliest reservation was 8pm. When we arrived it wasnt easy to locate. We had to drive around to find the entrance. The parking lot is very narrow and there were only 4 handicap parking spots which were full. So we had to drop my mom off in front then parked in the middle of the lot. When we checked in we were told there was a short wait and we had to wait at the bar. We ended up waiting 32 minutes past our reservation. When we were seated and our waiter was very friendly and took our orders. He even brought out the soup and salads right away. Everyone got the salmon and scallop dinner but I got the teriyaki chicken dinner. The cook came out and was very friendly and very entertaining. When the plates were complete we realized they didnt give us any of the side sauces or the avocado tartar sauce for the fish. We had to ask the waiter and he brought them out for us. It was nice that ice cream also came with the meal. We spent a lot of money even with the coupon. Sad to say but due to the drive and the small issues I prefer the house of gengi.

Even after making the reservation we were asked to wait for around 20 minutes for our seating. Being the vegetarian the options seemed to be less, so we ordered Cucumber sushi roll,las Vegas roll without salmon,fried rice,yakisoba noodles and Benihana salad. This place has gone down hill. While our chef Ivan was amazing and really made our experience positive, the main issues were the front of house staff and overall upkeep of the restaurant. I get no one wants to work in service but the host & hostess were literally arguing with each other and were rude to customers as they approach to ask questions. Several staff members stormed out of the restaurant cursing at other staff members frustrated with their job. I felt horrible and even contemplated leaving. Nevertheless we pushed on. The bathrooms are in poor working order and not maintained. It took over an hour to be seated after check-in (what was the point of having a reservation?). Once finally seated Ivan put on a good show and was very friendly with my group and did his best to make sure everyone was entertained and engaged. I felt bad that his range hood fans weren’t working and smoke filled the room and into nearby customers faces. One woman was coughing and choking on the smoke. My overall issue is with the restaurants upkeep and management. Please make sure equipment and restrooms are addressed and be kinder to staff. It seems they didn’t have the support they needed to get their job done.

Im outraged by the blatant disregard for customer service at this restaurant. After making a reservation for a group at 7pm, we showed up on time. They told us we had to wait a little bit. However, we had to wait an entire hour to be seated. Its clear that the restaurant overbooked their reservations, which is completely unacceptable. It’s really good food, though watch out cause the wait is long. Sometimes you have to wait up to 45 minutes after being seated, even with reservations . I dont know this place because its popular, the food is really normal, the same one you can get for 20 dollars at any Chinese food restaurant, the person who attended us was very nice but it was really fast and the show didnt last more than 10 minutes and the most impressive thing was the volcano... the waiters came every 20 minutes. I wanted to have more drinks and I just couldnt because I didnt even have the opportunity to order another drink, by the way I give the bar 0 stars, what poorly prepared and poorly presented drinks. Online order are now through the middle hallway of the entire building. Pretty weird.Took 45 mins to get my order because they lost the orders. A bunch of people (6+ people) waiting for their orders as well.Manager Jocelyn, asked for my name and walked away. Theyre priced way higher with less food compared to other restaurants and they no longer had the yum yum sauce which is crazy. They nickel and dime you for everything. The food was not as good as it used to be. I had whats called ocean treasure. The chef overcooked the lobster 🦞 and the shrimp 🦐. HUUUUUUGE KUDOS to Faye (waitress) and Michael (our chef) for an OUTSTANDING birthday dinner for myself, my niece and my sister who were all celebrating our August bday as well as my niece and nephews 1 year wedding anniversary. They were amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better team to take care of our party of 9 last weekend. We even got to meet David who was the manager and expressed how great everything was from the food, service and just everything! This was actually our second time having Michael as our chef and was thrilled that he just happened to come in for his shift during our visit and Faye made it happen to where he was our chef and she even stayed later to take care of us. Our whole experience took us 3 hours! Our reservation was at 7:45 we didnt get seated until after 8. Then we waited just for water for almost 45 min because our waitress said they were out of clean cups. Our chef didnt get to our table until almost 9:30. We would have left earlier, but it was already so late everywhere else was closing already. We left there at almost 11. We were so tired we didnt even have my sons birthday cake.. it was also very disappointing when they sang happy birthday to my son. The girls put in so little effort to make it joyful.

Whats the point of reserving a table if you get seated 45 minutes after the reservation time, and you actually start eating after 2 hours?The food is supposed to be Japanese, but both ingredients and the way they are cooked are barely so.The servers are more busy singing happy birthday to different tables than actually serving hungry customers wondering when food will come.When the chef finally arrived at the table, he had to double check the order with the kitchen, as the list he got was apparently incorrect.He then starts to play games with his tools to show his ability. The tools are not what used in Japanese teppanyaki restaurants, which are not used to play games, but to actually cook.The soup was nothing Japanese, same for the salad.The fried rice had an amount of butter that was ridiculous.Overall, pretty terrible experience. Will make sure to avoid this next time.

We have been waiting at our table for over an hour with no service. They only have 4 Cooks for the whole restaurant. And every table is full waiting for service. No help in sight. Need more help. But they keep packing it in. Didnt get all our food that we ordered. And no restaurant Manager to help out or correct anything that was wrong. This benihana needs to go on restaurant rescue show. Paided way too much money for the service and only got half our meal that we ordered. that turned out to take four hours to make. This place is in dire need of an upgrade. Tables are sticky, menus were dirty. Food was good, but the server input the dishes incorrectly, and so the chef had a very hard time getting everyones dish located correctly. They are very busy, I guess for the show. Awesome and really surprising place. Great food and interesting steak concept. A bit of Japanese tiny notes make steak taste new but still steakish and delicious. By far the worst Benihana I have ever been to! Sorely understaffed and no training on To-Go orders.I placed a to-go order and half, I kid you not, HALF of the food was missing from my order. No salad, edamame, fried rice, only 6 out of the 15 wings made it. I ended up cooking because we didnt have enough. This restaurant is expensive so of course I wanted to be reimbursed. Dont expect someone to answer the phone though. I couldnt reach anyone that Saturday night, but figured they had a rush. However I had to call for 20 minutes straight mid-day Sunday before I finally got someone to pick up. They told me a manager would call me back. Never happened.So today I had to use my lunch break to drive back to talk to a live human being. I live 25 minutes away, so now Im at 1hr 40min total in my car to and from this place over this dumb order. The manager is like, oh I think I already refunded you. He did not. Oh we were completely out of salad that day thats why you got soup. I had received no salad OR soup. Finally realizing he will have to refund me, the manager refunds me down to the penny only what was missing from my order. Dude maybe that would have worked day-of if you had answered your phone. But I had to drag myself back here on my lunch just to settle this. I asked him to refund the entire order, he says no. Such a bad taste in my mouth.Wont ever come back to this Benihana, and thinking about reaching out to HQ because this location is so bad for their brand.

Initially my engagement with the restaurant was not as welcoming as I was expecting. However the manager on duty this past Friday evening corrected the issue after a few trials. Our wait staff Kunal was amazing. Kunal was highly tentative and went over and beyond to make our celebration at Benihana everything we expected. I hope to visit again and I will be requesting Kunal. We sat in the bar area, which has been partially converted to an order pick-up staging area. Someone came by and let us know their shift ended two hours ago, so she was going to let us wait for the next person to show up to help us. Im assuming someone called in sick or something, so not a big deal. About 15 minutes later, the next person showed up and was very kind and helpful. The filet mignon was a little more gristly than normal, but still good. And the nagiri was great. But the soda was not very carbonated.

Like today, it takes an hour from sitting down to actually getting any food (!) and you get a bored, forgetful chef that needed constant reminders of who ordered what. Thankfully, the food is still great (and it better be, for the price!)

We called ahead and we were that our table for four would be ready at 8:45pm. I was initially worried that my seafood would be overcooked on the hibachi grill but everything was cooked perfectly. She decided to take over as his hiring manager after he had already been given a job, tried to insist on him sending his Social Security and Birth Certificate over text, and as soon as she saw him in person with his paperwork tried to tell him they werent hiring all of a sudden. Awful experience. We had a reservation for party of 2 but when we arrived we were asked to wait for another 40 mins. The staff at the front desk told us that there was a backup, and people are simply “taking their time to eat”, causing the wait. What was the point of a reservation when the time cannot be respected? We did not like the rude attitude from staff when the restaurant should make better effort accounting for reasonable meal time. Based on other reviews, it seemed that this is a regular pattern. I suggest the restaurant should estimate the reservation slot better, and not blame on people’s eating time. An apology from the the staff and losing the rude attitude would also help.

I have no words to describe how horrible was our experience at this restaurant.First of all, my boyfriend and I made a reservation, and when we arrived, they said we needed to wait about 40~50 min to have a seat. Of course we did not wait.Even after this first experience, we still decided to give them a shot (you’ve no idea how much I regret it) made another reservation for another weekend, and again, seating was horribly delayed but I already expected it. It took at least 90 min probably longer, just to place drink orders, that took 15 minutes to arrive, IF it arrives because the waiter constantly forgot what we asked for (please if you’re that kind of ppl, just write it down, so much easier).The chef and food was just normal, but not worth the price and our time.

Visited last week with friends as group of 4. Got seated after 15 mins of waiting. The staff who came to take orders for drinks was rushing us to place order without explaining properly (may be because it was a busy Friday).Chef was friendly and was having amazing skills( especially the onion trick). We took sake as drink, didn’t like it much. Hibachi chicken fried rice was insanely delicious and also the prawns and scallops. Price is a bit higher side and portions are not very large ( normal for an adult).It costed us 250$ for 4 people, for having 4 sake, two 5 course meal and two 6 course meal.We visited there for the first time and had a great experience.

We were seated 20min past our 7pm reservation and it took over an hour for a chef to come to our table and start cooking. It was difficult to flag down our server and we kept being told that we were next. As a person who religiously ate at the Benihana in Atlanta, GA (takeout and in person), I don’t think that I will be coming back to this location. You can tell that my meal was carelessly just put together with scraped up leftovers. My takeout orders used to come with garlic butter and yum yum sauce, but it wasn’t there, even though it is advertised that we get a variety of sauces. They only gave me the sauces that are the least popular. Probably because they are slammed and don’t want to make extra. When I came to pick up my food, the place looked so crammed and uncomfortable, so I do believe the other one star reviews.The only highlight: the host was welcoming and kind, as well as the person that I picked up my order from. Wish I would have gotten their names, but they did make it a pleasant experience despite the poor quality of food that I got. Definitely not worth $60+, and I’m not sure if I’ll be visiting again.

They had 3chefs on for the full restaurant and seated people to clear the lobby. However, there we sat … for at least 1/2 hour maybe longer, just to place drink orders, that took 15 minutes to arrive. The chef was ok, but when he was done, we had to ask another server to chase down ours. We hate doing that, so it was s looong time before we gave in. Of the other hibachi places in the area this is my lowest rated one based on food, service, and overall experience.Before I say anything, the place is always clean, including the bathroom. It was just not a good time.We were on an extended lunch meaning what we thought would take 2 hours took 3 hours and 15 min by the time we paid.The staff is always nice enough but Ill probably negotiate to go to House of Genji or Kyoto Palace before agreeing to go back to Benihana. The prices are higher than other places for not as quality food the food and they never have enough staff to accommodate the number of customers they have. Also, whats the point of a reservation if youre still going to make people wait and hour to be helped?

Had an exceptional experience this evening at this Benihana location. The manager Jerry got my family of 6 in an hour and a half earlier than our reso time. I had a pick up order but I felt bad for the groups waiting in front of me that had been waiting to be seated. I noticed many of them complaining about the wait time to the host. The inside door was filthy, the rugs looked very dirty, the floor was sticky, a urinal was overflowing and they had a pencil was stuck in one of the toilets. Now I know things overflow and maybe a kid might put stuff in the toilet but the rest of the room has been neglected over time. This place has been here for ages. Always busy it seems. My wife and I went there for lunch, thought we could use a bday coupon, found out it was not valid on Fridays, such a bummer. We stayed anyway. Food is consistent, the cook was fairly entertaining, and service was ok. Benihana has a scheduling problem! I have reserved a 6:45 slot 30 days ahead - just to make sure I can celebrate my kid’s 18th birthday. The 7 of us showed right on time at 6:45. We were told it’s a 45 minute wait, regardless of the reservation. We were ultimately seated at 8:15, an hour and a half later. This shouldn’t have happened at Benihana, not in the 21st century with all the sophisticated scheduling software.It doesn’t matter that the food is still great, or that the cooks are still fun and entertaining - no guest with a reservation should wait for 90 minutes. There were lots of other groups waiting around this long, so we weren’t the only ones being treated this way.Please do yourself a favor and go to the many other great restaurants nearby that won’t be treating you this way. 10 Butchers, Gyukaku, Gaku, Jang Mo Jip, etc. These other options are more tasty, punctual and reliable, and will actually be more affordable.
