Super slow for no reason no matter you push or not, and no matter the cashier and the server. Feel bad this time. The business was not busy at all when I got there tonight. When I was first time to this store two weeks ago in the evening, the boss was there, and they were busy, but their service was normal and nice. Won’t be back.

Food is good I have to admit but it feels a bit like overpriced panda express. The food is better than Panda but not by much. Theres a limited selection but they are descent. The prices are definitely high for what you are buying. I come occasionally but it goes get redundant.

I was recommended Bentolicious by a coworker of mine. This is an amazing spot to eat - I come around once a week. You get a choice of meat, three sides, and rice. One time I got a chicken leg, and the woman working behind the counter said that the legs were a little small today, so they would supplement me with basil chicken. It was a pretty big leg too. You cant really go wrong with any of their dishes, theyre all good and remind me of a homecooked meal. The price is a little higher than I would like, but I think its understandable considering this is the Bay Area. Around $15-17 for a plate, but guaranteed to leave you stuffed and then some.

Truly home cooking style, the sort of comfort food that does not need to be high in calories. No. 3 chicken is especially amazing and I don’t think I ate it anywhere else in Bay Area. All the side dishes are perfectly cooked as well with just right amount of flavors and saltiness, and nothing greasy.

I am thoroughly impressed with this place. I didn’t feel like having panda express or Greek or my usual lean cuisine. I searched on Yelp to see what was available and this place was one of the recommendation. I had the railroad bento lunch with sides. Earlier before I came here, I called to see what was available as the sides because it did not show on their website or anywhere else. I called and the gentleman on the phone said I need to come in because I am new. I didn’t know what it meant until I arrived. I am definitely impressed with how they care about the customers during the pandemic. They keep their customers in line… Literally… From each other and keep a distance where the hot plate and where the customers are standing. It appears that the sides change each day. One or two items are different each day I’m guessing. I guess I will have to return next time to try the other dishes. The price is decent, the quality is definitely A+.Highly recommended: get the Thai iced tea before it sells out. I got there around 12:20pm and three customer ahead of me bought the last the last drop of the Thai iced tea. If you are too late for the Thai iced tea, try the sarsaparilla soda. It’s not a typical sarsaparilla I’m used to but it does change things up with your lunch in a good way.Price: A +Service: A +Quality: A +It’s pretty moot at this point if I’m commenting about returning because I’m definitely coming back to try the other items on their menu.

The best authentic Taiwanese bento in SF Bay Area. As a Taiwanese, the food here made me feel like home. They cooked the rice, meat and side dishes so well. Not too oily and salty cuz everything was just perfect! Highly recommended!! You should def try it!

This is Asian fast food and its made up of bento boxes a kind of a modern version. They have about 5 different on trays and you pick one and you pick 3 sides deal with it. And theyre all Bryce did 9 knowledge and :50 cents each. They also have some special ones for the day which are little more at 10:50. Seating is very limited but they have a few tables set up outside. Its very very good bargain.

If you like Taiwanese food, you have to try this place. I ordered the #1 Ichiban Fried Chicken Breast Bento and the chicken was perfect. The flavor was authentic and it was fried just right so it was crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy on the inside. The portions are pretty generous and the sides are just as tasty. Plus everyone was friendly. Its too bad I dont live here, otherwise I would come here often!

Great place for Taiwanese style bentos! You get a choice of main plus 3 sides, for about $10. I got the ichiban chicken with eggplant, tofu and egg. I really liked all of them and the flavors were very tasty. Would definitely return!

Good quality, authentic Taiwanese food. I had the #1 ichiban chicken for $10.38 after tax. This is a good price point (same as Sweet Tomatoes next door and a couple bucks more than 2 items from Panda Express). The fried chicken was surprisingly good (not dry or overly salty). The mapo tofu (without meat) and the eggplant tofu were excellent. The steamed rice is much better than what youd get from Panda Express. The egg was nothing special (a tea egg, otoh, would be special).What Id like to see: a cheaper 滷肉飯 option. Itd also be nice if they could include a small hot soup (doesnt have to be fancy).Overall, much fresher tasting and higher quality than Id normally expect from a bento. Portion size was also generous, but prices shouldnt increase any more - there are too many options in the area.

A nice mom + family run establishment. Had the fried chicken bento (#1) and it was crunchy and juicy on the inside still. Good flavor balance. The sides were also pretty good and a decent variety. They werent overly salted (like some bento places could be) so I liked that part. The only small adjustment I would recommend to elevate the side dishes would be making sure the vegetables are chopped a little better -had a bit chunk of cabbage in my bento! Overall, a great eating experience.

I didn’t know Taiwanese food could be so different from other Chinese food, but this is healthy, nutritious, low carb (if you pass on eating all the rice) and delicious. I’m pre-diabetic and doing all I can to avoid it and this really hits the spot. Lots of good veggies like Napa cabbage and the meats are so good, like stewed chicken or beef in a Chinese style sauce or soup. The best one I had is the Railroad pork, a pork chop with spices and herbs in a delicious sauce over rice…probably the best and healthiest Chinese food in America, and maybe in China. No msg, not too salty or sweet or sour. Perfectly balanced, in my view. Owners are very nice, genuine people who work hard at their family-owned business. When I eat there, it’s usually $10-18, sometimes I grab two dishes. Give them a shot. Reliably consistent.

This is our first visit. I positivity feel they have really bad attitude and confused ordering process. I order the fried chicken bento and still they let you choose one of the main dishes. After I correct them and one of the staffs is willing to replace it to chicken, but another staff starts complaining we are wasting their food. So I go ahead to pay for the order which they say they are going to throw away. This makes me feeling insulted. Highly not recommended to this place. Honestly the food is good, I just dont like the customer service. Definitely not going back.

I come here a lot since my parents are from Taiwan and the food is always so good. The owners actually know our family since we come here like every week or so.They have a group chat with 300+ people on the texting app LINE which my mom uses to see if there are any specials. All of them speak Chinese which is great for my parents.You get to choose a choice of meat and three sides, which some change and some don’t.I would recommend their Salt and Pepper fried pumpkin and their fried chicken. They also occasionally sell other Taiwanese dishes, which most of them I do not eat because it’s not really my taste, but my parents like a lot of them.I hope this helps!

We come here all the time. Its the Taiwanese fast food.. you select your main dish and side dishes with rice. The dishes occassionally rotate. The food has a homemade cooking kind of feel and its definitely more healthy/less greasy than the typical Chinese food take out. Price is reasonable. Place is clean with quick turnover but it does get busy. Owner and staff are super friendly. I definitely recommend this place if youre too tired to cook at home.

All the food is the good! I absolutely love the eggplant tofu. All the meat is tender. The owners and servers are super generous! EVERYTHING is made new and in moderate servings, so everything stays fresh and hot. This is my favorite quick lunch place in Pleasanton. The staff is friendly, and the food is on point. The fried pumpkin is always perfect as is the garlic spicy eggplant. The rotating main courses have yet to let me down. The stewed cutlet is great, as is the roast pork and fried chicken. Lastly, dont forget to snag a marinated egg. They round it any meal combination!

It’s the best, most healthy, clean and fulfilling Asian foods you can find in Bay Area offered in decent price. Their Taiwanese hearty food is really authentic! I would say it’s even better than the one you could get in taiwan, especially the chicken rice. They give out generous portion as well. Probably one bento can feed two persons together. Love it!!!

You get to choose one main and then 3 sides at the large counter up front. The most difficult thing is choosing! The 3 veggie options were good too. You can see the food behind the counter like Panda Express. The service there is nice and everyone wears a plastic mask for sanitary purpose (a spit guard 😁) like what you see in Taiwan. Everyone who serves food should do this. I cant say I stopped by because I came here because of its reputation! 😂The taste is exactly the same as in Taiwan. The people who live here are so happy because they have bought from our Taiwanese restaurant in Reno and I was shocked the first time I bought it😑This restaurant has been put on my must-eat list every time I visit my husband’s brother👍Taiwanese!
