2023-12-05 13:47:26Can with a friend for lunch and wasnt disappointed. Ive been here before and wanted to try something other than Ramen. Ended up getting one of the bowls, pork chashu. It was delicious!

2023-07-04 17:46:02Came in with a buddy and was assisted quickly and effectively. Friendly and courteous staff. Got a table with instant service. Took a minute to check out the large menu selections. Asked for the special and got a shop favorite. Good advice I would have to say. Quick delivery and delicious meal. I did not have to wait long for any situation. Check out the amazing food and grand quality of their service.

2023-09-11 00:11:23First of all, very cute little place the bar area is very nice. Very good selection of Sake! Bathrooms were very clean and well stocked. The service was very good all staff were very nice and seemed happy in other words the vibe was good. I had the beef rib Ramen, the beef rob was tasty. WAY too fatty, but thats beef ribs for ya. The broth was unfortunately very bland they didnt have traditional condiments, and the Sriracha is not REAL Sriracha! The noodles reminded me of spaghetti, and they dont give you enough. I had to add salt, sesame oil,red pepper flakes, ramen pepper, etc. To get my broth to taste better. The pork Gyoza was tasty. The fried chicken thighs were not hard fried like they should be, but the flavor was good. All in all, it was just ok. Ive personally had way better, but it was a nice spot to drink and have fun with friends

2023-08-14 05:35:30Beshock Ramen in Carlsbad is a hidden gem for ramen lovers. The tonkotsu black ramen is absolutely delicious. The broth is so rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of flavors. The noodles are cooked to perfection, the seared pork chashu with runny, jammy yolk are so fresh and tasty, making it perfect together. Spicy miso is much recommend too. The portion sizes definitely will fill you up with a reasonable prices. They’re also offers a variety of drinks to complement your meal! They have a selection of refreshing Japanese teas, as well as classic soft drinks. If youre looking for something with a kick, they also have a few sake options available as well. The staff is so friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming, modern atmosphere. Overall, Beshock Ramen is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts in Carlsbad! 😊👍

2023-10-19 18:52:15Came out on a Thursday night, not very busy. Waitress was nice and recommended their staff favorite the Black Ramen. It was very tasty just lacked the spicyness. I asked for the chilli oil but that still didnt kick it up a notch. They serve local beer, which was plus.

2023-09-19 01:48:28Beshock is excellent in every way! I dine there whenever Im in the neighborhood. Yesterday our server, Jazz, took great care of us (always great service)! Had their Black Tiger Rainbow Roll (pictured), which was delicious - skillfully prepared, using high quality, fresh ingredients. Im a happy customer, and you will be, too!

2023-03-29 19:47:33One of my favorite spots! I’ve been here 4 times so far and it’s usually always great. They have vegan options which is nice since my partner is vegetarian. The space is small, so when it’s busy there is a long wait time, but I have yet to experience it. The brussel sprouts are one of my favorites, the first time we came I ordered two. The salmon skin roll was okay, Teri cafe has a better one though. The ramen is so yummy! I’ve had the vegan tan tan, the regular tan tan, and the black ramen. I prefer the vegan and regular tan tan cause I like spicy. The black ramen was yummy, but needed heat. Which was an easy fix, they have a ‘spice rack’ which has like chili oil and stuff so you can add as much heat as you like. We try a new sake every time we come, which is obviously hit or miss depending on what you like. The cocktails are yummy, but no actual alcohol. I’ve only had poor service here once. I brought my brother and his fiancé when they visited and we almost walked out. We were sat down quickly, but a server didn’t come to us until 20-30 minutes after. And it was pretty much like we didn’t exist the entire time we ate. We were seated outside and there two other tables, both occupied, and they were checking on them regularly. We had to stop one of the servers to ask for limes, she never brought them, but continued to wait on the other tables. It was very weird, but the food was still good. And I still recommend the place since every time I’ve been back that hasn’t happened.

2023-02-08 02:47:21Happy hour review:Drinks are actually a great detail with 4 dollar pints and 7 dollar cocktails. Our pork bun was alright with the bun being pretty fluffy and moist but the pork was uninspiring. Black (garlic) ramen was flavorful and the pork nice and tender. Umami ramen was a lot more bland with a more Mido soup tasting broth (a lot less umami than the black ramen surprisingly). Noods were fine and as usualTldr: Good happy hour drinks but food is so so. Might come back just to drink next timeFood: 5/10Service: 7/10Vibes: 6/10Value: 5/10

2022-10-15 16:24:17Had my last evening meal here before heading back to OZ.. Chose this place based on reviews in Google.. didn’t disappoint.Ramen was excellent, great depth of flavor and generous portions. I also indulged in a flight of Sake.. so good. Value for money is great and staff are knowledgeable and attentive. Only downside is they need a better wine selection. 4 ( average) wines on a list, when the food they offer is so good, was a disappointment .

2023-01-14 20:07:17The appetizers were yummy. We had the pork gyoza and the brussel sprouts (spicy). My Ramen broth wasnt tasty for my preference. The noodles and the egg were pretty good though. My fiances bowl was very good the seasonal special Birria Ramen. The service was awesome and the atmosphere is modern with a large bar inside and patio seating as well.
