2023-06-06 07:55:27Came here later afternoon, which makes the meal sort of late lunch or early dinner. Wasnt crowded when I arrived but definitely saw lots of customers come for to go orders.Promptly given a table to sit at, and ordering is through an electronic device which is nice since it gives us more time to decide what to order. I was mostly intrigued by being able to order some staple dim sum dishes at a non- dim sum hour. They offer the staple steamed dim sum and fried dim sum dishes. My husband and I werent super hungry so we picked only a couple dim sum items and additional dishes. We did have a hard time deciding what to order since everything seemed so good!We ultimately ordered the shrimp har gow, pea sprout shrimp dumplings, fried milk, fried meat glutinous dumpling (ham sui kok). We originally wanted to try the dry roasted stir fry noodles but they were out. We switched to the coffee pork chop. The steamed har gow and pea sprout shrimp dumplings were fantastic. It came out piping hot. The wrapper to filling ratio was great. The wrapper layer was thin. The dumpling pieces were large and the shrimp was cooked just right. The fried milk was yummy. Not many dim sum places even offer this dish so was very surprised this was available. Think of it as custard pudding, deep fried. The sweetness was just perfect, not too sweet not too bland. The glutinous meat dumplings were a bit disappointing in that I wish the layer of dough was less thick, and more meat. But other than that, the glutinous dough texture was greatThe coffee pork chop was super surprising. I had coffee spare ribs from a Malaysian/Singaporean restaurant before so was interested in trying here. Turns out the coffee flavor here is pretty strong. So if youre a huge fan of coffee maybe you should try this. If youre not, maybe get the Peking pork ribs/chops instead.Overall the food is fantastic! I think they pride themselves in serving food that is made with fresh ingredients, no msg, etc. I cant guarantee the no msg part but I must say the food is overall well seasoned without being overly salty, which is a problem I commonly find at other places. The pricing and portion sizes were reasonable. They didnt charge us for the tea like some restaurants do. They also gave us a few complimentary pieces of orange at the end. For a Chinese hole in the wall sorta place, I would say the overall service is pretty good and friendly. I didnt feel I was rushed by anyone or being yelled at by grumpy servers. The atmosphere is nothing to rave about. Definitely not a place you would treat someone to a date. You would go here for a casual dinner where you want to treat your wallet well.Highly recommend this place and I would definitely come back again. The menu is pretty big so I will def want to try many other items here in the future!

2023-03-21 18:29:24Best Asian Bistro is a great restaurant to get your Cantonese food fix. The food is tasty, comes in generous portions, and is just really good Cantonese cuisine. My mom noted that the food here reminds her of Hong Kong because it was so authentic. Ive tried the restaurant both as take out and when dining in, and the food is consistently good. If you happen to dine in, its definitely a no frills Chinese restaurant experience, but I will note that the service is much friendlier and the restaurant is much cleaner than the holes-in-the-wall restaurants that serves insanely good food. I have yet to try the dim sum here, but will when the cravings kick in. Fremont lost a lot of really good Cantonese restaurants and it was such a joy to find a restaurant that serves good food at reasonable prices. This is our go-to restaurant when we want some good Cantonese food and one that is definitely worth trying out.

This place has become my favorite dim sum place! We came in on a Saturday early afternoon, it wasnt super packed but still ok busy. All dim sum dishes were freshly made to order! You can hear the crunchiness when you bite into it. We will definitely come back again.

2023-05-21 19:33:05We came here for dim sum at noon and the place isn’t too busy. We were able to get a table right away. They have a cool new ordering system by using an iPad and gotten new table sheets. We got the typical items such as Haw Gao, Siu Mai, Phoenix Feet, Pork Ribs, and some other items. Overall, the ingredients are fresh and you can taste it but the skin of the dim sum items were not well done - they’d fall apart and too wet.The XLB didn’t have any soup in it but the pork flavor was fresh. Most of the dumplings are under flavored for my taste. However I do have to mention that the service and attentiveness of the staff is much better than most dim sum places.I’ll probably be back to try their dinner options and see if those are good. They have Lamb Clay Pot which I haven’t found at other places.

2022-10-23 05:59:10One of the best dim sum we’ve had in South Bay. You could actually taste the freshness of the dim sum and know they were handmade unlike those from food factory. The daikon cake was especially delicious! We will definitely come back again.

2022-08-19 07:29:51Newly opened Cantonese dim sum bistro. The price is very reasonable. And they serve dim sum from 11am to 5:30pm.Most of the dim sum is above average, but the beef balls have too many connective tissues, so I wont recommend it.

2023-10-01 20:44:53People there are nice, and dim sum tastes good. Itll be nice if the kitchen can make a few more choices. Inside is quiet and I like it as its not noisy or loud. Will come back for lunch and try the dinner if I have a chance.
