I was walking into the restaurant about 2 days in hopes of getting some back home nostalgia, instead I walk into a hostile situation in which I saw a guy behind the counter telling a customer that she must not want her money. It seems shes written a review about it as well. The more I thought about it the more upset I became and I thought if anything I could write about it being that my reaction wouldnt have been as calm as hers so I left shortly after hearing him start to berate her calling her out of her name when she simply stated she didnt be disrespected when it was their error. From the short interaction I gathered: the cashier for some reason way over charged her for a single burrito. Due to the amount, they refused to return the money until they saw ID. My personal opinion is honestly the least important being as I only witnessed a glimpse, the woman was righteously upset but not belligerent. She still her ground, it was simple, they overcharged and should have refunded the money. The truth, he verbally assaulted her which is not only unprofessional but humiliating as a customer and especially as a reputation of business. As a black female myself, I truly wanted to pick up my sword but instead I vow to never return and encourage my friends that live in the area to not buy from there and spread the word until this man no longer works there. He called her a b word, a black $#&$# in the 30-45 secs i stood in the doorway.
This was the NASTIEST burrito Ive ever had.I ordered the grilled chicken burrito.The chicken was extremely HARD!I dont know if it was overcooked or undercooked....smhI will NEVER go there again
Ordered a large Vegee burrito. I was disappointed to find they dont add any grilled veggies. It is basically a rice and bean burrito. Also, no guacamole!! Youd think a large burrito at $11 in the bay area would get you some guac. I think the owner needs to visit some other taquerias and discover what a Super Burrito is.
I really love this place. Very sweet family atmosphere, and truly great burritos. Not a lot of indoor seating— I especially recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick lunch!
The burritos here arent the best like they claim they are. But they are much better than chipotle which gave my wife bloody diarrhea. A complaint is that they dont scrape the gum of the tables. Also, the floors looked like they had never been cleaned when i ate there.

Came here with my friend the other day and ordered the large spicy chicken burrito.Spicy Chicken - DRY (all caps necessary)Terrible Burrito and their soda pricing doesnt make sense.They have cans (12oz) for $1 and bottles (20oz) for $2.25. Maybe they do this on purpose so that I would feel like im getting a great deal by buying 2 cans of soda instead of a bottle = more soda for less $. NICE (probably unintentional) MIND GAME.
Very tasty burritos. Vegan and vegetarian options. Usually a short wait. Parking easy- in lot or on the street. Also serve teriyaki bowls. Havent had them do cant comment on them
This place is awesome I went there yesterday, and my uncle wanted to try this place we have seen this place all the time and have heart great reviews. If I tell you the 2 guys who waited on my uncle and I made our food with love mi familia was so happy the meat and the sauce was so good and the rice was just right. I give it 10 thumbs up🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍

This place is formatted much akin to Subway sandwiches. You go to the far right of the counter, order your food, pay at the register on the far left. I ordered two hard shell tacos. At first I was taking aback buy the $7.50 price tag for the two tacos. However, I later found that the tacos wereloaded with a lot of goodies. Rice, beans, pico de gallo, cheese. Quite interesting. Never seen this before. Quite delicious.
Ingredients so low par, salsa/hot sauce lasted like rotting tomatos. Guys are nice so i gave one not two stars. If you want a burrito go somewhere else or get something else to eat. 🤢
Love their burritos. Ask for carne asada and the meat is freshly.cooked amd juicy. They have bowls, teriyaki bowls ( get sauce on the side), enchiladas. Yea Ive had almost all types. Only tried shrimp, grilled chicken,.grilled steak, carne asada, shrimp, and ground beef. Ill try to have a picture next time but its so good I never get to the phone in time 😄
I ordered 2 combo Burritos1: was teriyaki beef with shrimp with, everything,teriyaki sauc rice beans chesse pico de gallo guacamole teriyaki sauce plus hot sauce. There was nothing in it that I asked for.The 2nd one was 4 my boyfriend stk and shrimp combo Burrito.With no beans. With rice sour cream guacamole chesse pico de Gallo. lettuce hot sauceNothing we ordered was on these burritos. There was something green looking like spinach or kale not lettuce at all, pickled jalapenos which we did not as for. According to the bill total it was like $26.00 & change.according to there menu pricess on there website10.75 + 10.75= $21.05We picked up it was 26$$And we got nothing we ordered inside of our burritos

So far Ive been here twice and tried 2 the bacon breakfast burrito and the chorizo breakfast burrito. Both were great but the chorizo one is better in my opinion. On top of the delicious burritos the people working there are very nice
I went into this place this morning hoping to get a breakfast burrito, the sign on the door stated open and its sign read best burritos so I walked on in. I said hello and the man behind the counter said something to me, I couldnt hear him so I asked him to please repeat what he said, he said very loudly, WE ARE NOT OPEN!! its 5 minutes to 9:00 am. I asked what time he opened he said 9am, I again looked at his clock and there was 5 min to spare I asked if he could take my order and he said WE ARE NOT OPEN ok, I can take a hint so I left. Lousy customer service, will never ever go back here or recommended. The guy behind the counter should be FIRED!!!!
I was craving a burrito with ground beef as the meat, and the burrito I got was literally tasteless. Absolutely no seasoning despite all the other ingredients. The tortilla tasted like raw flour, the rice and beans had no seasonings,the ground beef either. With the addition of cheese and sour cream this concoction was still tasteless. Go somewhere else.

Korean owned with a couple of employees that were friendly and generous with its portions.Its a hole in the wall sort of place but it manages to hit the spot for a quick place to pick up some Mexican / Korean fused burritos.
This place has hella good burritos, and at a good price. Parking can be a little tight so pack your patience but its worth it. Lots of choices, all of them good. Definitely recommend.
Best Burritos has **four** different options for vegetarian/vegan burritos, including tofu, three-mushroom, primavera (zucchini, bell peppers, onions and yellow squash) and vegee. All are excellent.I dont think theres another tacqueria in the bay that comes close for vegetarian options.

Definitely not the best burrito but I like that they make it how you want it. I found the meat options interesting as well as some of the Asian fusion stuff. It is a little pricey for the quality.

2023-12-08 23:00:34Heaping portions, competitive pricing, very generous cook/prepper, what more could you ask for. Very interesting blend of Asian flavors presented in a cali-mex way. Food is comparable to your average mexican spot but I gota say- I do like the kind of product that an establishment like this has to offer! Yes masa is across the street but this place definitely has earned its place among other el cerrito food options. Will definitely come back!

This is quite regrettable because this was one of our go to places for over two decades.During my most recent visit, communication was very poor. Had to repeat everything at least three times and even then, they didnt understand enough and messed it up.What really got me was that the prices are now at sit down restaurant level, even though Best Burrito is basically a hole in the wall take out place.I might try them again in a few months just to see if they have improved in anyway. But with the prices at this level and quality so average, I really see no reason. Adios.

Everything tastes fresh and freshly made. Reasonably priced, friendly folks behind the counter, and free, easy parking. An El Cerrito gem!

2022-05-11 14:44:45Well they aren’t lying. That really was the best one I’ve had here. I had the spicy pork regular. The regular size is pretty big so I would imagine the large is for sharing. They have it to me with a few chips at the bottom of the bag and that was really good since there is always stuff falling out. I know they seem expensive but honestly they are packed with food and a full meal on their own so $13 is no different then if I had a plate with the same stuff spread out. I do recommend trying it at least. I’ll be back since I’m staying in the area for the next few months. It’ll be my go to for something quick that isn’t typical fast food which I abhor

2021-09-13 00:57:13Imo..This is bar-none, the all around best burrito Ive ever had. Im a self professed burrito aficionado. I eat burritos 5-7 days a week from all over the bay area. Im vegan, so I normally get beans, rice, salsa, and sometimes add either sauteed onions and peppers, or avocado.At Best Coast I get one of 2 burritos. Either a burrito with refried beans, rice, lettuce, salsa verde, and avocado, or, I get the Beyond Burrito. Either of these burritos qualify as my favorite burritos, but the Beyond Burrito is levels above. It is so satiating and satisfying. I havent had a carne asada in over 20 years, but this completely fulfills that craving. It has the perfect balance of beans, rice, meat and salsa. Each one of their ingredients is delicious, and so clean. Btw, their refried beans and rice are both vegan. If youre vegan (really, even if youre a meat eater), I highly recommend Best Coasts Beyond Burrito. (Only downside is that it costs $15 or $16. However, a super burrito from the majority of bay area taquerias will cost you $10-13).

2019-05-17 18:29:33I chose this place originally because my last name is Best lol 😂 and thought of how ironic it is because I love burritos. I can honestly say that I have a new favorite place! Seriously it was the best burrito I’ve had in the Bay Area. The price was really great and I normally skip the guacamole because I prefer sliced avocado more, but their guacamole was fresh and unprocessed. I’m extremely happy with my experience!

2019-10-30 07:37:48Dont be fooled by the location. Food is fantastic despite being in a small strip mall. Friendly service and great for take out food. Not to mention it is fresh and they cook in in front of you. Would recommend the shrimp enchiladas. Never had a bad meal
