Best Taste is owned by a very gracious couple. When we stopped by today, Cindy made substitution suggestions and we got Salt & Pepper Pork exactly to our liking. She also tossed in a couple egg rolls as a thank you. We also had Beef Chow Fun which was delicious.

This place has been here forever, seriously for good reason. Food is consistently delicious, service is beyond amazing for both dining in and pick up. I recommend Best Taste to everyone I know! Try the orange chicken or any of the veggie dishes, youll definitely want to come back for more.

Cozy home town style restaurant with a laid back comfortable style but quick efficient staff. Great food for a reasonable price. Will definitely go back!

Wish we could give zero stars. The food left us feeling very sick to the stomach🤢. Wont be surprised if we were given leftovers or spoiled food. Save your money for a place that’s worthy.

Great Chinese food! We ordered take out and it was very fresh and full of flavor when we got home. The service was great, too! The owner is very friendly and hospitable. Will be going again soon!

The environment is cozy and being at home and their lemonade it’s just amazing. Best taste and best service, worth the price. The owners really appreciate their costumers and I highly recommend coming here.

Ok Exterior looks outdated..but this place is a neighborhood favorite for decades! We had seafood fried rice! Crab shrimp a huge amount! Walnut honey prawns also a huge plate..orange chicken all delicious well presented and quick..the server was pleasant and very friendly..the booth was comfortable and clean..the decor was reminiscent of Chinatown with Chinese Craft art.

I ordered a to-go for Gen Tso, and it was one of the worst I’ve had. I’ve had my fair share of chinese take outs over the years so I know I shouldn’t expect anything to be crispy or anything like that, but this was just bad. The coating was all soggy and the meat tasted old. It was soggy to the point where it tasted as if this was a frozen food heated up in the microwave. And they charged nearly $20! Thought it was pretty ridiculous. When I try a new chinese restaurant, Gen Tso is usually considered the “safety” menu. Boy I was wrong here. Got duped by the stars.

I enjoy and appreciate good food and am always on the lookout to drop some paper to try different restaurants. Only my opinion and my brood’s feedback ….that’s it. The rating is just on flavor and overall taste. The cost you can get from their website.

This place is great! The food is AMAZING and is always hot and fresh. The staff is super friendly, and you cant go wrong in this quiet environment! My husband and I eat here at least 2xs per month.Absolutely cant go wrong if you come here to eat~

People who ran the restaurant were very friendly, but I did not care for the food. Its the first time I can ever recall getting lukewarm to cold hot tea. The wor won ton soup was dark like it had a lot of soy sauce based sauce poured in it. There were three very thin slices of BBQ pork that tasted really old and had no other flavor. It had 2 jumbo shrimp and 3 small lumps if something (mushy chicken maybe?). Thats it for protein! No bok choy (there were only a few pieces of Napa type cabbage) no pea pods, just 3 zigzags of carrot and some green onion. Inside the won tons, the filling very dark (more mystery meat).There was also an aftertaste, the kind you get when a restaurant uses a lot of msg. I ordered a combo fried rice to go and it doesnt smell right Im not sure it will be edible.. There wasnt one single piece of protein showing in the rice and I suspect there will be precious few beef, chicken, pork, or shrimp pieces within the rice if I take a chance and eat it later. Not too good for $15 rice. Even mediocre restaurants are capable of making delicious fried rice (Panda Express even makes fried rice with a better aroma).

I have been a loyal customer of Best Taste Chinese and Sushi for many years. During Covid, It was a hard time for this restaurant. Gone is the beautiful Sushi Boat Bar and other fancy items. However, this restaurant has continued to operate serving the Best Taste food I have had. The menu is amazing! Where else can you get Egg Fu Yung on a lunch special? Their selection of desert items, such as deep fried banana (my favorite) is outstanding. All the dishes are fresh made with quality ingredients. It has great food with a wonderful owner staff. The restaurant could use some minor remodeling, but it is kept clean.

It’s a small family owned place. It’s quiet, but let me tell you the food speaks volumes. Definitely a place to check out if you looking for a “under the radar” place with amazing food.

(Revisit)I ate a course meal. Best value for money in San Jose!! There are 5 dishes, the price of 2-3 dishes from other restaurants. The Chinese Jjajangmyeon was especially spicy and delicious. The cashew nut shrimp were a little salty. Overall, its delicious and cheap, friendly, and the food comes out quickly. Most of the older people come to the store, and they seem to have been regulars for a long time. Restaurant recommendations!--------------------------------Seafood fried rice - the seasoning is delicious. It looks like a lot of rice, but there is quite a bit of crab meat(?) in the rice grains.Orange Chicken - Taste on the outside and inside. It contains pepper, so it may be a bit spicy for young children. It tastes good if you season it or remove a little of the fried skin.Planning to visit again.
