Cute little restaurant with friendly staff and good food.I felt like I was at my Tias house, the ladies that helped us were so nice and made me feel comfortable and welcomed.When I went, it was very busy but all the staff remained calm and just worked through it perfectly.I had the chicken fried steak breakfast, it was tasty, it was a real cube steak, not the fake ones. The gravy could use a little more homemade flavor to take it to the next level.Dont be scared by the eggs in the picture, I ordered them over hard on purpose lol.

I loved the atmosphere! Especially since this is a family owned business with the owners on the floor working! And even better, the food was fantastic! There is a huge selection for both breakfast and lunch! I had the Chicken Fried Steak, made with a New York steak, and delicious country gravy, great hash browns and fantastic pancakes! The other dish, The Southern Breakfast, had 2 over easy eggs, bacon, biscuit and gravy. We also ordered a hamburger pattie to split! Our server, Rachel, was excellent and very professional! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and rate it a 5 out of 5!

Overcooked, brown, scrambled eggs. Sausage tasted freezer burned and was cold inside. The waiting system is none existent. You put your name down on a list that isnt even referenced. They just say hey table for 2?. Why am I even signing in? If we werent standing right there we would have not been seated. The use boxed gravy. Will not return.

Betsys is attached to a bowling alley. When the gods align and both Betsys and the alley are open, you can order food while sitting around the ball return thingy.Food is homemade kind of great. Ive only had breakfast there, but everything is tasty and the omelets fluffy.The service is friendly and efficient - this is probably the best thing about Betsys. The staff seems to know all the customers and still like them.Their take out service is big and easy.

Betsys is a local, family owned staple in Morgan Hill. Old school diner vibe. They have the BEST chili Verde!I get it with half beans, half hash browns and tortillas of choice (flour or corn). The flavor is to die for. Little kick to it so of you dont like spice, get something else.Service is always on point, reliable and delicious. They alwsys keep the coffee full and hot. Whats not to love?!

This may be the best breakfast place in the South Bay. Betsys is located in a shopping plaza off Tennant Ave in Morgan Hill. They have plenty of parking and are open for breakfast and lunch. Betsys can get packed during breakfast even on weekdays so plan accordingly. They do offer take out if youre like me and dont like to wait.They have a great selection of breakfast and lunch items. I would highly recommend trying the best chile verde in the entire Bay Area! The pork in the chile verde is always cooked to perfection and falls apart. The sauce itself has a nice kick to it and always packed full of flavor. I usually cover everything in the sauce! Like most breakfast places they will cook your eggs however you ask even over medium. I have tried other breakfast options at Betsys and everything is always cooked to perfection. You cant go wrong with either the country potatoes or hash browns.The food comes out quick once they take your order but service can get slow in between paying and actually ordering the food. If youre in the South County area and looking for an awesome breakfast place this is the place.

I ordered the chile verde with 1/2 potatoes & 1/2 beans and flour tortillas and homemade salsa. Everything was delicious. The Chile verde was perfect. The service was outstanding. Our order was served minutes after ordering. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I are visiting MH from England, we keep coming to this restaurant more than once every time we are in town.The food is excellent and the menu gives you wide variety, staff are very friendly owners are so courteous .Prices are reasonable and the place is very busy, one may have to queue on weekends.We will be back every time we are in town.Well done Betsy !

The food and service are amazing. A friend and I met for brunch, and we thoroughly enjoyed every morsel of our meal. I had an omelet with country potatoes and a side of bacon. My friend had a reuben sandwich with onion rings. The service was superb!

Whenever I have morning jobs Morgan Hill, I always come here to have breakfast. It’s more than just good food, and I am particular about my breakfast. When I sit down at the counter here, I see a family working together as a team. You’ll hear great banter between the servers and the townies. I love their attitude. I’m not much of a talker so my order is taken quickly, I get my fill of coffee, I get my delicious food quickly, once I’m done eating I pay right there and I’m out the door. I almost wish I lived in Morgan Hill just to come to Betsy’s regularly.

Don’t order the chicken fried steak, it’s flat as cardboard. The hashbrowns were crispy on to mush all down below, our server took our order and then we had to have others help us out because she was more focused on her side work then helping us…. We found this place e a week ago and couldnt wait to come back. The food is down home and hearty. Its small and seems to have a wait usually. With good reason. Its popular! Today I had the chile Verde and eggs and WOW! So good. My husband had the meat lovers skillet and ate every bite. We can wait to try lunch! They are only open for breakfast and lunch. 6:30 a.m to 2:00 pm. They could do better with service. There are plenty of employees but they dont seem to have a rhythm. But its not enough to stop us from going back. Im excited to try lunch, the potato salad looked scrumptious!

What a great restuarant! My coffee was promptly filled, the servers were so nice even though they were busy. I had the waffle combo and the eggs over easy were perfect. My husband had the meat lovers and it was very well prepared as well. Hard working working folks that keep things moving, but dont make you feel hurried.

First time eating here, got a recommendation from family, that this was a great spot, and they were completely right. Service was excellent, very punctual. I had ordered a deluxe cheeseburger, and it was a really good burger, it was big, and was really juicy and flavorful. The fries though, were amazing, they werent too salty, and maintained their crunch for a while. I would gladly pay more for the food here.

I have never felt like writing a review about anything- but not only is the food here phenomenal, the people here are so kind!! This restaurant was recommended by my cousin as the best breakfast ever and it was very delicious! Not only that- but as we asked about a few items on the menu including their menudo and chile verde, the waiter brought us some to try which was also soooo good! (Surprisingly because a lot of places don’t know how to make menudo) 10/10 recommend. I preferred the hash browns over the potatoes. Everything is very reasonably priced.

I really hate to give a bad review because the service was excellent, and the staff so sweet. But honestly, this was the worst breakfast I can remember having. 😔 Chicken sausage and hash browns were so greasy and had a terrible oil flavor. Waffles were bad and chalky. I’m so sorry, Betsy. I feel I need to let people know. Can’t understand all the great reviews.

EXCELLENT food! Everything was delicious and we enjoyed our waitress. My husband and I had Randas omelette - so delicious! And my kids had toast, bacon, and chocolate chip pancakes. They ate almost everything which is unusual for them, so I think they really liked the food as well.

The food is absolutely AMAZING!!!The service was pretty good too.There were quite a few people waiting for a table, so I sat quickly at an open seat at the counter...You can see most of the kitchen from the counter, and with that, the cooks.Not once did I see anyone wearing gloves OR wash their hands.They went from raw steak to pancakes with bare hands the entire time i was there.I ate the food, and was impressed, but I cant get the image of their dirty hands touching my French ToastEat with caution, cross contamination is a REAL thing.

While the food was pretty good the service was not. This used to be our favorite place to go before quarantine happened and we never had complaints. However our last visit our server who took our order kindly brought over crayons and a notebook four our child to draw on and I graciously thanked her. What happened next rubbed me the wrong way.She reprimanded my 18 MONTH OLD for dropping the crayons on the floor. She then looked at my child in the high chair and said “you only get one now. So sit there and BEHAVE!” I couldn’t believe my eyes! My husband said “maybe you should take the rest of the crayons” and she snapped back with an attitude saying “I am! But I want the one she [mother-in-law] has!”First off we don’t speak down to anyone in our family especially children. We respect them so that they understand how we should treat everyone even the smallest person. Secondly, he’s 18 MONTHS OLD! He’s still learning what it’s like to be in a restaurant and what his boundaries are! And lastly, she should not be trying to discipline or reprimand ANYONE.If this woman talks to her kids that way then fine, but I’m no way should she have said anything to my child.Betsy’s: you’re food is decent but we will never dine here again with the attitude your employees have towards small children. Def not a family restaurant.

Great Mom & Pop, down home cooking. The day we went it was super busy, we had to wait 45 minutes to get a table, people waiting outside to dine. Service was outstanding, as well as the food. Everything was prepared fresh and served hot, nice clean dining room, but alitte on the small side. It had very good reviews and thats why we choose to dine there. Very pleased with everything. I eat here every time I am in Morgan Hill, the owners run the place. They are extremely friendly and such hackles when they see you regularly. My absolute recommendation is the Chile Verde plate that comes with country potatoes and eggs. It is perhaps the best sauce ever, don’t tell my grandma.

Good food, efficient staff.Lines may make it a while before you get a seat, but thats because many would endure the wait.If Betsys were to move to a venue (in town) where they could seat more people, I believe most would follow & continue to patronize them. At least speaking for myself, I dont go to Betsys for the venue - next to the bowling alley. So if they were to have a larger, seating restaurant in town - I would enjoy it more.

You don’t know what you got until it’s gone. Betsey’s has always been a staples for me. It became such a normal brunch date with friends that I started taking it for granted. Now that I’m sheltering in place, I’m starting to realize how fortunate I was to be able to eat at Betsey’s. This quarantine has made me appreciate Betsey’s so much more. After this is all over, I’ll never take brunch dates at Betsey’s for granted ever again.

Has gone down hill in the couple of years or so since Ive been coming here. My most recent trip will probably be my last. The waffle was a frozen waffle and the waitress was rude and unhelpful. Other people I know who have been coming here much longer than I have have shared similar anecdotes. The lack of a bathroom on site is the straw that breaks this camels back.
