Overpriced!2 sandwiches & cheese fries was almost $40 & the cheese was cold.I can find better restaurants in Vallejo that are not vegan but carry vegan options for a way better price than this.Viashnu Express is an Indian vegan restaurant on Sonoma & for the price I paid here... I could have fed 4 people & been way more satisfied.Ill be surprised if this place makes it long-term.

We have been anticipating the opening of this restaurant ever since trying the product. I was late to the grand opening party and they were still kind and gracious enough to serve me after their long day. The food was AMAZING! We had the 4pc chicken with Mac n chew and greens, everything so crispy and delicious. We will be loyal customers forever. Thank you so much for your delicious food! Absolutely phenomenal food. The fried chicken was light, crunchy and juicy. Impossible to tell it was vegan. The brussel sprouts were off the hook. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Amazing food! You know a vegan dish is good when even non-vegans love it! This place has plenty of those! Creatively crafted vegan meat that goes amazingly with vegan gooey cheese that melts in your mouth! Can’t ask for anything better! Hands down the best spicy fried chicken sandwich Ive ever had! Seasoned to perfection and the texture is amazing. Run...dont walk to partake of this food. And you dont have to be vegan to enjoy!

Stopped into this place today to see what the hype was about.I’ll give two stars only because it tasted just ok.I felt ripped off, as I kept wishing it was real meat instead of veggie meat at the price we paid 40$ for two sandwiches and cheese fries. No drinks.The cheese fries were cold and cheese tasted not quite right.I ended up giving half of my sandwich away and stopped at church’s chicken after because I needed me some real meat.I did give it a try but it’s not for me. I support a local business and think everyone should try it atleast once.
This is my second visit within a week! I tried the fried chicken, the Mac n cheese, the steak Philly, and chicken sandwich. Let me tell ya.. evething was amazing and Im not even vegetarian. The front of house is always warm and welcoming. Just remember fast food isnt good, and good food isnt fast. Evething is made to order and fresh tasting. Being locally owned is great but how good the food is just makes this a slam dunk.
You can tell Management and Owner care about the location by how nice it looks now! The Philly Cheese Steak was really good with the toasted bread. Yummy :)
I AM NOT VEGAN but Im going here for fried chicken from now on.For folks that have a bias against vegan food, their fried chicken tastes JUST like fried chicken if not better. Ill tell you why...I tried it with Crystal, Tapatío, ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce, teriyaki sauce, kewpie mayo, and sriracha. The sriracha and kewpie individually were really good and by far the best. Then I put the two together and it took it to the next level! Try it, Vallejo.I also had the greens and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were good but the greens were an experience on their own. At first, I didnt taste like traditional greens but it was definitely a pleasant surprise!Vallejo, show your support so we can see Better Chew products in Costco and Safeway. Came by after work and ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of mac. Really enjoyed the chew chicken sandwich and the mac n cheese was good as well. Great service and business this afternoon was steady. Very good selection of beverages to choose from. Continued success to Better Chew Kitchen!

2023-06-16 02:15:57Went for the opening.Its great for a vegan restaurant to open in Vallejo!!From the limited opening day menu we tried the fried chicken, chicken nuggets, Philly cheese steak, mac and cheese, ribs and greens. All was great. The fried chicken was excellent, according to my partner, the mac and cheese was better than at vegan mob and thats say a lot. The ribs were very good. Prefer the spicy bbq sauce...not very spicy.We will be back as regulars.See you soonAnd thanks for embracing vallejo!!

2023-07-19 23:48:49Made my way here finally. I tried the spicy chicken sandwich w/extra spicy mayo and fries. The sandwich was delicious! 10/10 would recommend. The fries I wish were thicker and had a tad less seasoning. I would love it if they made their fries from fresh cut potatoes or just chose a different cut all together because the fries were crunchy with no soft middle. Who doesn’t love fries w/a sandwich. Definitely want to try the greens and mac next time. I will be back.

2023-07-06 19:44:56Very healthy and great tasting food. Downtown has great shops and places to eat. You can find just about every type of food downtown. This place has healthy food at great prices. There are a variety of good tasting food that you can order. Great prices. The place is very clean and very great service. There are also a spot for out door eating. I only wish that it was opened on Saturday. Lots of people at Farmers Market and this will be a good place for lunch on Saturday.

Mac and cheese is the best size still.For take away orders skip the fries, they dont hold up well in the to go container. Eat them sitting down at the restaurant. As far as sides go, Mac and cheese is a must. Id skip the brussel sprouts next time. For mains, we love the chicken breasts over the tenders. For sandwiches, we liked the ribeye over the Philly cheese steak.Finally double check your bag before leaving. They forgot 2 of the 3 sides. Theyll fix it but still a bummer to get home and have it missing.If you havent been. Go. Its great and welcome addition to the downtown.
