Today was my first time dining at this restaurant. The servers were great, very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is very nice. I had the traditional dish I always try my first time at a Thai restaurant which was pad thai and it was very salty. Theres another restaurant in the same Plaza called Thai bites which I prefer. There Pad Thai is a bit sweeter and more traditional I think but the food wasnt bad just way too much salt. My friend who is vegan had a vegan dish which was also very salty he said. I think it would be a small adjustment for them to back off on the salt as this could be a really cute little gold mine in the heart of Aliso Viejo. I will go there again but probably try something different or ask for low sodium option if they offer that. Otherwise it was a very pleasant experience.

I would advise against dining at this restaurant. The manager lacks politeness and proper training, failing to value their customers patronage. Moreover, the food here falls short in comparison to the superior options available in the vicinity.

2nd time here, I was so happy with my first Togo order, the green curry, chicken that I can back for dine in. Ordered the red curry chicken as you see in the picture. Good portion, great taste, plenty of chickens and vegetable included, great and friendly service.Ill be coming back. Try it you doing be disappointed. Bon appetit

How can your staff served a child with a bottle of juice that’s un opened without the opener? Your 20% service charged added to the bill without asking the customers is a big turn off, for the kind of service and food quality 20% is a lot to be added in the bill. You should at least suggest it first not add it right away.

Thai food is our favorite and this ranks high up there. We ordered vegetarian food. The dishes were bursting in flavor. It wasn’t as salty or oily as compared to many other Thai places we’ve been to.We love spicy food and have a great tolerance for spice. They ask you to pick a spice level of 1-5 and they do warn that their dishes can be quite spicy. We ordered level 3 and found it just a little bit spicier than medium spice level everywhere else. So I’d recommend going 1 or 2 levels below what you normally order.The sticky rice was more creamier and flavorful than many places I’ve had it at.I’m a fan!

This used to be my go to Thai restaurant in Aliso Viejo and I used to come often with colleagues from work for lunch and with my family for dinners. I was shocked when yesterday I showed up for lunch and ordered 2 lunch specials from of the lunch menu + 3 kids meals with no drinks and the bill came up to over $80. When I took a deeper look I realised that I was automatically charged 20% gratitude (of course there was room for extra tip). Now - don’t get me wrong - I don’t mind paying for a good service, however I hate when service fees are being forced on me. When we asked the manager about it, she just said that people should pay for the good service they get in her restaurant and that she arbitrarily decided on 20% charge. When we said it wasn’t written in the lunch menu, she said that it was written somewhere in the larger menu that was on in the center of the table and she wasn’t willing to do anything about it. I thought of sharing my experience so you don’t get surprised like I did. We think that there are other great restaurants around here that we would love support that offer just as good service without forcing their customers to some arbitrary charges.

All their food has good quality and is super delicious. Highly recommend trying soups spicy noodles and rolls. I usually have some to-go food and warm it up the next day and taste fresh as you make them now. They close early so make your plan ahead of time. FYI, Their yelp hours are not updated.

If you are looking a place to have some good food that you are not able to cook in your home...go to this place.So... I lived in Thailand for about a month only, I discovered that they had the best gastronomy I ever tasted. Its very difficult to find a place that haves the real flavor of the country when living outside. I had a red curry seafood and it was outstanding.I really recommend this place. My goodness it was so delicious and they are really Thai.This is by far the best restaurant Ive been in my year and a half of living in Orange County.

Weve been a few times and always order the black pepper steak and crazy cashew chicken. We really enjoy both dishes, my personal favorite is the cashew chicken the sauce is so delicious. My only complaint is the portion size compared to the price. $34 for two dishes with nothing else is a bit steep.

I have had very good Thai food in a number of different countries. This is definitely some of the better places in greater Los Angeles. The BBQ Pork was very good, the shrimp dumplings were good and the deep fried banana desert was fantastic! The soup was extremely spicy. Very enjoyable. Thank you.

Good stars for service, appetizer, and drink. I ordered Thai Tea, Papaya Salad, Panang Curry, and Pad Thai.Thai tea is delicious. Papaya is great, fresh shrimp and fresh papaya, the sauce is tasty. Entrees are not. Those seem to be americanized, too sweet and creamy. I bet some will enjoy that though.One thing I noticed but not going to deduct a star here. There were two sections, the beautiful and cozy front section while the gloomy and chilly section on the side of the restaurant. We, looking mediocre, were put on the side with another asian mediocre couple even though the tables in front were clear, only 1 rich-looking white couple there. Time passes by, the tables were filled one by one with rich-looking people. Maybe that was just a coincidence, but I say what I see. The service was great nonetheless.

Great Thai place! When they changed ownership and the name (use to be Urban Thai) I was worried they wouldnt be as good. Well, no need to worry as the food is good and they have a lot of items to pick from. My favorite is the chicken curry. I often sit at the bar top with my boyfriend. We get to watch TV and also get to know the staff. If you havent tried this place give it a go. I dont think youll be disappointed. We also often just get it to go. The to go service is fast. usually only 10 minutes or so.

Used to love this place food was impeccable, service used to be kind and courteous by the old owners. New owners we went in there was only one table there occupied and we mentioned we had a meeting to go to and were ready to order, the server was more concerned about wetting her rags then to take our order, then when we tried to order she kept telling us this is spicy that takes a long time. Satay chicken as an appetizer does not take 20 minutes to make on top of it we are both sick now and are having stomach issues. Three tables that arrived after us got their food first and then the manager came to our table to tell us we were told that satay chicken takes a long time and so does fried tofu and lectured us. I am heading to the emergency room. 🤒😓

I love this place! My favorite is Pad Gra Pow because I couldnt seem to find it anywhere else with the ground meat, which is the authentic way. I also like this blank Pepper Stay, Yellow Curry and a couple of Fish entre. The kids menu is also pretty good with the variety of options. Staff are friendly and the facility is clean.

The curry noodle soup was spicy and hearty. The spicy thai fried rice had layers and layers of flavor, and it was VERY spicy. Although both husband and sister didnt think the food was that great here, I thought the food was pretty good. But I guess everyone has different taste profile.

Good food but not spicy.I ordered extremely spicy and the extra peppers on the side were wet and had a gross smell other than the peppers all was good.Siamese Express in Aliso Viejo is the place I like to get Thai food. The food is 100 times spicier and the peppers are the best around which makes a big difference!

This place was amazing! I ordered the chicken curry and my girlfriend ordered the chicken and shrimp pad thai. With the chicken curry, you can taste every spice they put in there, I couldnt get enough. The chicken pad thai was excellent and both came in big proportions. The food came out pretty quickly. Our server was great, very suggest-full and was on top of drink refills. Looking forward to going back.

I will never go here again. The food is not bad but the manager has very poor customer service skills. There is one very good waitress and if you are lucky enough to get her you may not be completely dissatisfied, but anyone else forget it. Just get up and leave if youre a person who expects to be treated courteously. If you dare ask for something thats not exactly like the menu (adding extra scallops for example) the manager will all but ask you to leave after basically calling you a liar if you happen to have done this here in the past. Further if you happen to ask for the owners contact information he will refuse saying you can only talk to me, period. Very very disappointed!By the way, we went straight to ThaiBite 2 min away and they were Happy to add scallops for 3$ extra (I would have gladly paid $20).I feel very sorry for the owner as he/she probably doesnt know how bad the manager is.

We missed our movie because our food took about 30 minutes and there were not many people in the restaurant. After waiting 15 minutes we told our waitress we need to catch a movie then we got our appetizer immediately. I suspect our order did not even go in until we mentioned the movie. The waitress told us that we should have told her that we were in a hurry implying that it was our fault that we waited 30 minutes for our food.

Arrived at the restaurant around 715,. After about half an hour we were finally seated. We ordered right away as we knew exactly what we wanted. After another half an hour we only had drinks!! The best Thai food in south Orange County! This is the only place around that you can find authentic Thai ingredients and legitimate recipes. The flavors will bring you back to that food cart in Bangkok, or that food stall in Chiang Mai. The food portions are big and can be washed down with ice cold Singha beer. The staff is very friendly and always helpful with recommendations. I have great service there every time I dine in. Restaurant is upscale and is always very clean, especially the restrooms. Beyond Thai Cuisine is definitely my go-to Thai restaurant in south Orange County. I miss Thailand every time I eat there!

This dish had 2 pieces of Tofu, sprinkling of cilantro and a few slivers of carrots. Also ordered Pad Thai with Chicken, got a pile of noodles w/ a few slivers of Chicken. This the worst quality of food at higher than average price. If your craving Thai food in Aliso Viejo, your better off visiting the frozen food aisle of your local super market than Beyond Thai. This place is a huge waste of money.

Have been to this restaurant multiple times and have not had a problem until recent take out experience. Discovered an inedible crystal or plastic particulate in the chicken green curry that was sharp and painful to bite. Multiple small fragments were found by several different people. Took them along with the remaining curry and rice back to the restaurant. Showed it to the owner who had the audacity to ask for more proof of the food contamination, i.e. a picture of some sort. Ultimately got my money back but was very unhappy with the response from management who seemed to be accusing a frequent customer of falsifying a complaint instead of being concerned about potential choking and dental hazards in the food. Read another review where someone found hair in their food and was asked to pay anyway. Seems to be a trend and would highly recommend people AVOID THIS PLACE for your own health and safety.

Far and away the best and most authentic thai in the area. Ive visited Thailand on more than one occasion and eaten a lot of Thai food, and this is one of the better Thai restaurants that Ive ever eaten at. The name is atrocious, but the food is great. Be sure to try their Kao Soi.

We have been there a few times and food varies: if restaurant is busy, food is awful, small portions are served, so it is not worth your money. The waiters are very rude, and it is not family friendly. They dont allow strollers. If you have kids, go to any other restaurant which is family friendly.
