Food is good and fresh. Had the chow mein pint for $7. Could have a few more vegetables in it. All noodles.

I was reluctant to even order from this place due to the unusal low score but I decided to give it a shot anyway and boy, was I proved right. The person taking my order over the phone was polite, courteous and fast. When I went to pick up the food at around 10pm on a Sunday night, the place was clean, tidy and well-lit. The food was nicely packaged in a large bag and upon arriving home and taking out the takeout (no pun intended) I noticed the portions were generous and filling. The food is fresh, delicious and is above-average when it comes to fast food Chinese. I ordered the House Chow Mein (highly recommended) the Orange Chicken (one of the best Ive tried) and the Honey Walnut Shrimp (truly worth the extra money). Highly recommended price for reasonably-priced but very delicious Chinese takeout!

First of all the hours are wrong. Even though Google maps shows it’s closed they’re wrong. The restaurant should change it on Google Maps if they care about getting more customers. The people who are writing bad reviews are probably high or something or maybe just Karens. I first tried Big Chopsticks by my house in Placenta and they are always good. Today I got the steamed rice and Orange Chicken. Both were very good. The girl behind the counter wasn’t too enthusiastic but as long as the food is good WHO cares. Service was fast, within 10 minutes. Food was nice and hot. The food is made when you order. It’s not like a typical Chinese Fast Food where the food is kept hot under glass.

Don’t waste your time or money. Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had plus terrible customer service.Decided to try Big Chopsticks for lunch after receiving a flyer in the mail. So disappointed. Orange chicken is soggy, rice is dry, and the Thai tea that was supposed to have Boba has jelly and a tiny straw that you can’t drink it through. They don’t allow any substitutions for the lunch special, so your only option is hot and sour soup which is only so-so. Definitely will not return.Their only saving grace was a decent egg roll.

We just ordered and when we received our order there was no flatware or napkins included. We called and they said we need to ask for it in advance. I guess they expect us to eat it with our hands. No resolution. Screw the customer. Never have received an order without any flatware. This restaurant SUCKS!!!!!

I recently dined at Big Chopsticks Chinese Restaurant and I have to say that my experience was just okay. I ordered the Mongolian beef, and while the beef itself was tender and flavorful, I was disappointed with the sauce. It lacked the depth of flavor that I was hoping for and left much to be desired.On a positive note, I also tried the chow mein and found it to be quite tasty. The noodles were cooked just right and the overall seasoning was good.Overall, I would say that Big Chopsticks Chinese Restaurant is a decent choice for a quick meal, but I wouldnt say its the best Chinese food Ive ever had. If youre in the mood for something simple and satisfying, then give it a try.Also note, do not order through door dash as they have a significant upcharge and the restaurant has its own delivery, so your choice.

Food was mediocre for the price. Orange chicken was bland and fried rice was super dry. I found a dead fruit fly in my fried rice, but shouldve known the place wasnt super hygienic when walking in as the whole kitchen is hidden and the place felt super dirty.

I bought the orange chicken in a large size with a side of fried rice for $22. The guy had it ready in 2 minutes, it fed me for 3 meals, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Ordered delivery through their website (Tip: don’t use door dash or grub hub if a place manages their own delivery.)Food was nice quality, arrived hot, and the delivery was good. They couldn’t find our place at first so they called and we were able to talk through it, so no problems.Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Two flimsy plastic forks, no fortune cookies, dont accept cash, no napkins on a $40 order.Delivery ogre left food on front porch and RAN away, gee, I wonder why?House chow mein was ok, orange chicken was mediocre at best. Nice gut ache after eating. No pride of craft anymore, your grandparents are ashamed.Used to be great, not now.

Possibly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in all honesty. The orange chicken was a very strange texture and the rice was under cooked. My meal also came with some sort of “soup” if you can call it that, frankly it looked like brown lard with pieces of meat inside, it even jiggled when I moved it. The staff also wasn’t particularly nice in anyway to boot. Wouldn’t recommend coming here, there’s a much better Chinese food place down the street that’s even cheaper too. That’s where I’d head for my money.

I came here in a Sunday night, no one was at the counter. I rang the Bell the first time no one came, second time someone in the back said your food is in the table. I told him I’m placing a new order, he never came out. Once he did he asked if there was a new order I said yes and the man behind me said no and the guy in the back just walked off and never took my order so I just walked off. It isn’t worth spending 30 dollars just to be ignored.

Got a flyer in the mail. Thought Id try them out. I ordered online via Grubhub at 5:55PM tonight. It is now 8:00PM. No delivery yet. I called restaurant 5 times and not once was the phone answered.Finally at 8:05 the doorbell rings. I left special instructions not to ring bell or knock. Dogs went nuts.I ask the guy why 2 hours to get the order delivered. The guy couldnt even understand what I was saying or speak English. He was Chinese. Welcome to America. Go learn the effing language.The food itself was hot and does taste good thank God. This is first and last time this place gets my business.I will stuck with my go to which never disappoints.

Orange Chicken was prepared improperly with flour, soggy. tasted like the birds were literally raised in a sewer. Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Overpriced, no vegtables at all flavorless except for rotten taste. I hope I survive this.Followup:About an hour after containing my vomit, and I didnt close to finish, Im getting the tell tale sign of an allergic reaction.

Food taste good. not blowing my socks off though. I paid 11.50 for broccoli and beef for what I believe is a small plate and NO rice or wonton. I can go to pick up sticks and pay 9.29 get more food and rice included without the over the top soy sauce taste. so much potential. less soy sauce and include a side with 11.50 purchase.

This place is good! I don’t understand all the bad reviews. The lady in the front was really nice and the food is yummy. Kung pao sauce is 👌🏽👌🏽. Broccoli beef is also yummy, meat tender and broccoli soaks up the sauce but with crunch. Portions are nice, they’re definitely not too small. I do not understand that review. Yesterday I went to buy a cajun sea food combo, first they told me it would be in 20min.I went to pick it up at this time and when I was there they made me wait almost an hour more, when I got home I checked the food and it was cold and the taste of it was not Cajun, but had a different flavor, I bought Cajun sea food since started this business in Costa Mesa and yesterday what they gave me was not what I ordered, I spoke by phone with the person in charge to claim, I communicated this to her and what she did was hang up on me.
