Bill’s café offers the best breakfast in town. Located in the heart of Pleasanton California. This restaurant is on Hopyard Avenue and it’s very easy to find.I had the banana pancakes with soft, scrambled eggs and a side of bacon and the food was awesome. They have an extremely friendly staff and you get a lot of value for the money that you pay.I have been here on several occasions and it’s always a festive atmosphere. The next time I am in town I will be back here for another fabulous breakfast.

Visited on memorial day. This small chain had the atmospere of a family owned business Atmosphere was wonderfully welcoming and their waiting area was comfortable with appropriate seating. They had professional and courtious staff. The waitlist used a hassle free text system so you could go for a walk at the nearby park while you waited. And the veggie skillet was delicious.

My son wanted to take me here as he has been to the one in the Fremont area. Am I so glad he did! The staff was wonderful, friendly and very attentive. I ordered the Belgian waffle with the strawberries and whip cream. Oh my goodness it was the best waffle ever!! I didn’t even use the syrup or butter as the fruit and whip cream gave it just the right flavor and didn’t take away the amazing taste of the waffle. My son had the egg skillet (not sure what it was called) but it was a mixture of bacon, tomato, green onions and hash browns and eggs your way. It looked so yummy and it was his favorite. I’ll definitely be going back more often !! So yummy!!!! 😋

This is an outstanding breakfast spot. You just really cant go wrong with any Im you choose. Big meals, quality food and fast friendly service. Lunch items are really good as well. Have really enjoyed the french dip on past visits. Excellent flavor and nice thinly sliced beef. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

Very nice place for breakfast. We tried french toast and hash brown skillet. Both were fresh. Hash brown skillet was awesome. Fresh toast not so tasteful by itself but there were syrup, a delicious butter and whipped cream which makes it better.

Omg its like 45 minutes away but worth the drive we live in south San Francisco my sister took me for my b day for breakfast, and I loved it I think its my favorite place for breakfast or brunch 😋 definitely recommend it the food is delicious and the price great 👍 love the waiters and all the staff they make you feel welcomed and coffe and service is top notch

Seated promptly upon arrival. Extensive menu with weekly specials. I got the chicken, strawberry and pecan salad. It was delicious and had a generous portion size. Friends split a French dip. The wait and kitchen staff were very accommodating. Will definitely go back. Great value.

I usually never wait to eat at any restaurant, but I was visiting from out of town and my host likes this place, so I agreed to come here. The wait took a long time, but what sucked were the two hostesses working that Sunday morning. They were so unpleasant and unwelcoming.Once seated, we were greeted by a friendly server and things started to improve. The mexicali eggs benedict I ordered was cooked perfectly, and the extra side of crispy hash browns made the breakfast even better.I am a fan of the food here, but waiting for a table isnt my thing, so maybe Ill come back sparingly.

Always good food. Service can be better and more attentive (Im still waiting for my water) but I dont blame them, its always busy. The best thing is you can get breakfast items at any hour of the day. Prices are ok for the Bay Area and the menu is extensive and easy to understand. Somebody wanted calories listed for each dish, if thats your thing you probably should not come here.

We were spending the weekend in Pleasanton. Found this place on Yelp with great reviews. We went Saturday and Sunday for breakfast/brunch. Saturday we shared the Canadian bacon eggs Benedict with country potatoes. It was so delicious. Sunday I had the tri tip Benedict 1/2 order the bf had Crab Benedict. We both ordered a Michelada. Food and drinks were very tasty. This place has a very nice outdoor dining area that is well shaded. Doggy friendly. Dont be intimidated by a line of people waiting to be seated. This place does an awesome job of getting their clients seated. You may get a drink at the bar while waiting. The service is as good as their food. A little pricy but so worth it. Will definitely be back when in area.

Make sure making reservations before heading the restaurant.The food is fantastic, yummy and fresh. They have separate parking lot but it is usually packed, you can enjoy your free coffee while waiting for your seat.They have indoor and outdoor seating area. About the food, if you are planning to get pancakes as a side dish(what we did) keep in mind they are HUGE. Two to four people can share 1 pancake if it is not your main dish. We got the blubbery pancake which was so good.I got my veggie dish and really liked the mushroom🍄🍄, but I believe it could be better with avocados, next time I will definitely add avocados 🥑🥑🥑🥑

Overall it was pretty good here. We got a Hawaiian pancake which was tasty, a California omlette which was ok (not much flavor), and an over easy egg with bacon and hashbrowns which was decent. Hashbrowns were a bit too crispy for our liking. Their seasons potatoes were ok as well, not great. Staff was friendly but everyone was in such a rush that they were more robotic then sincere and personable. It was their rush hour though. They do have a good selection on their menu which is nice. We do plan to come back.

Best new spot in the Tri Valley for breakfast and lunch!Super excited to finally have something fill in this old tired Zorns location and even better to see a Bills Cafe out this way.Its been a very long time since Pleasanton has had anything new and exciting to call a breakfast spot. Sure weve had many but nothing at all as good as Bills. Im obviously super excited to have this new location but I dont really want to share it with too many people. Its a wonderful location but the parking goes fast in this shopping center and with the sports park on weekends itll be a nightmare.Right off the bat I can say the service is absolutely fabulous and the food is just as good as the South Bay locations. The Crab Cake Benedict and the Banana Pudding French Toast are of course the favorites at this location just like the rest.Im so glad I live so close but this place is going to put a huge damper on my figure but its so worth it. Oh and Bills has a Monte Cristo sandwich so Im in huge trouble. That darn sandwich has been my weakness ever since I was little. STOKED!!

This is a very busy restaurant. Nice location, enough parking. Wait time can be 20 minutes to 40 minutes. Open during most of the holidays. Food and service is great. Food portion is pretty big. I ordered a benedict which was great, but the goat cheese omelet was horrible. Couldnt eat at all. Another thing I didnt like is that their mushrooms in the benedict was huge and ugly. Couldnt eat.

Bills in Pleasanton is simply awesome! Get there early or you will be waiting as this place fills up early and fast. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Portions are generous and delicious. I would highly recommend Bills if you are hungry and want a great meal to start the day. We began with a Manhattan iced coffee which was yummy. Moved onto Bloody Marys and then our meals. A great breakfast and nice atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and stop in if you have never been. If you have, you know what I am talking about!

I can’t believe the crab cake benedicts were imitation crab meat ($16). I never thought I would have to be cautious about fake crab for an crab cake eggs benedict. And if I were to assume, I believe they were from frozen.Service was ok. Everyone was nice, but we never got a refill on our coffees. Pancakes were good. It’s nice that they have heaters for outside seating because it was chilly. Also free coffee for the waiting guest is really nice.

This was my 1st experience at Bills. I have to say it was a very good experience. Although was super packed the wait time for a seat was not very long at all. I think we waited about 10 minutes. When people seated or server was really sweet he gave us coffee immediately. I enjoy it the drink I ordered which was a strawberry peach mimosa. I ordered the chilaquiles with chorizo and it was spicy but delicious. While we were eating, I thought it was cool that the servers came out with a little drum and were singing, Happy Birthday to a patron at the restaurant. It was cool, I really enjoyed myself, Ill be back for sure.

My husband surprised me on a brunch date as a late birthday treat. One of his co workers recommended this Cafe to him. I can see why. This place was awesome! Although it was packed we only waited about 15 minutes. We ordered some mimosas and that were pretty good! We especially enjoyed the one that had grapefruit and pineapple I believe? Definitely tastey. The portion we received on our good was big so we had some left over but that definitely isnt a bad thing at all. Im sure all the mimosas I had caused getting full quicker. Since it was a birthday brunch, they came out singing and with some instruments. Pretty cool. After they sang, they gave me some sort of mixed alchohol drink. What a bonus. Didnt expect to have to have such a good time at a cafe. Will most certainly be returning when we get the chance

This was the first time I have ever been to this place and I went on Easter Sunday with some friends.Our server was initially very friendly and took our order promptly and efficiently.The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean so that was indeed a nice touch.Our starter of soup came out and the soup was very good.Problems started though once our entrees came out.I had ordered a California Club with no ham extra turkey and the order came out with ham. I informed the server and he apologized and took the plate back to the kitchen.Then one of my other friends bit into his Bistro Club and noticed that the chicken was undercooked.Again our server took the plate back to the kitchen.My third friend ordered the El Paso Benedict and this thankfully came out to order but by the time our meals came back out he had already finished his meal.To the restaurants credit they did redo both meals and once the meals were fixed the meal was tasty.However, after these two back to back incidents our waiter went from friendly and nice to very serious and non-interactive.After we ate we were given the bill and I noticed that I was still paying full price for the two entrees that were messed up.This did not leave a good taste in my mouth nor did it for my other friends and we left on a sour note after paying for an experience that was not justified by the price.I understand that it is difficult to work in the restaurant business these days but still I expected the staff and my waiter to do more to rectify the issues that we experienced.I will likely not return to this location. A damn shame...

Visited this establishment today for the 1st time, 1st impressions are important. Arrived to a busy location, entered out information on the iPad and expected a 30 minute wait with all the customer traffic they had. To my surprise it was no more than 10 minutes. We were seated and ordered drinks. Our waiter, an older gentleman, was very kind and I could tell he pours his heart, sweat, and tears to this restaurant everyday. We were asked plenty of times if we needed anything while eating. Food was 11/10, hot and homemade. Service since walking into the door was also 11/10. Overall I enjoyed this experience and would definitely drive the 2 hour round trip to eat breakfast here. Thank you

Bills Cafe was good. There was a 30 minute wait, so I figured the food would would be amazing. I was somewhat disappointed with my food. There was very little chicken sausage in my eggs, and what was there was cut so tiny you couldnt taste it. It was a very small portion, and I was still hungry when I left the restaurant, and I even ordered a side of biscuits and gravy. Which was not conventional sausage gravy, which was disappointing, but was ok. The biscuits are tiny and the gravy lacking. My wifes veggie scramble plate was huge on the other hand, with lots of fresh veggies. Our granddaughters pancakes were very good. The price was fair.

Great place for brunch. Large portions. Quality food. Even though there is usually a ton of people waiting to get in for weekend brunch, the staff is a well oiled machine. They now have an online waitlist via Yelp which minimized our actual wait time. We got seated relatively quickly and the staff was attentive while not making us feel rushed. The top and bottom of the hash browns were perfect but not the center. Toast was good and very good customer service. Very helpful. I would definitely try them again with a different dish. We went here for a birthday. Since it was a Sunday as well as St Patricks day, there was a huge crowd and the waiting time was about 45 minutes. It was easy to see that folks were not unhappy with the wait.We got a table after the wait and the waiter was very courteous. We ordered the food and got it fairly quickly. The portion sizes are pretty big. We all liked the food - waffles, banana pancakes, oat meal, fruit bowl, omelette, toast - everything. The roasted country potatoes were very tasty.The restaurant is clean and the ambience is great. The food caters to a large range of palettes - including vegetarians.Probably we should have made a reservation to avoid the long wait. But it was totally worth it. Will come back for sure.

I loved this restaurant for brunch. The food was delicious, well priced (especially for the amount of food you get) and served in a decent amount of time. Also, I enjoyed the selection of mimosas and adult iced coffees. The host was also great. It was just my friend and I and initially the host said it would be a 40 minute wait, which wasn’t that bad considering how many people were in line ahead of us and it was Sunday but we only ended up waiting about 20 minutes. We used to frequent this restaurant pre-Covid. Today, food was just ok for me. Ordered a simple breakfast. I like crispy hash browns but the hash browns were way over cooked.But let’s talk about the service. We were seated at the counter but had a hard time getting a glass of water. Even when I placed my order and asked for water, the waitress said ok but never got it for me. She took the order of the person sitting next to us and then didn’t think of my water. It was right in front of her. We left and immediately commented that all the staff paid no attention.

This is my third time eating at Bills and by far the best time. I ordered the steak and eggs and it was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, to a medium as requested, and the hash browns were just as good. The portion of the steak was perfect. I still dont like the taste of their gravy, but thats just me. My wife happens to like their gravy, but understands where Im coming from on the gravy. The location was nice, and the servers handle our party of twelve with ease.Hopefully, this review helps you. Free coffee while waiting for a table, love that. 3 stars for a couple minor service things but mainly just for not pushing the envelope at all; Bill’s knows how to cook breakfast properly (and deliciously) and keeps the seats full by serving it in big portions, but personally when it comes to brunch I’m a “bananas foster peanut butter French toast with huckleberry syrup, side of brisket hash with Thai chiles and a craft whiskey cocktail” type of guy... they’ve got competition for my business!

Ive been to Bills Cafe several times and have enjoyed it every time. Our food has always been brought out very quickly when we dine in. When we order out, its always been ready when promised. There is definitely a long line/wait at times, because they are popular and I believe dont take reservations. Went there for mothers day today. The wait was one hour. The food was below average in my opinion, not sure if it was because they were busy but they screwed up our orders.. gave us waffles instead of pancakes that we ordered. Their omelette was over cooked and dryed, bacon was burned and greasy, hashbrowns was under cooked with no flavors. Food was over priced in general. Service was acceptable. Fantastic food and service. My wife and I go here every chance we get. We always sit in the covered patio area for the outside air; heaters overhead make it comfortable rain or shine. Ive been to a few different Bills locations and always leave satisfied. My experience at this location however was the worst experience Ive had in any restaurant. Our waiter was impatient as hell to take our order (like as soon as my gf and I sat down). I somehow didnt get coffee despite asking for some, & he asked us repeatedly if we were ready all within 3-4 minutes. Our food came out in a timely manner considering how busy they were but my omelet was incorrect (American cheese instead of cheddar), and my gfs pancakes were burnt, also her sourdough toast never appeared. After that our waiter was nowhere to be seen. Didnt check on us at all even after he brought out food to the adjacent table. I picked at my omelet slightly and I brought it up to him after he came up to see if we needed coffee, not even ask why our plates were mostly intact. He brought the check and took half off of MY food but not hers, and then didnt even come back to get our payment for quite some time so we had to go up front to try talking with a manager but that just didnt happen. We wanted to leave so we just paid and left but well probably never go back to this location again.

Worth the wait. Weekend morni gs are busy so be prepared to wait (45 mins+). That didnt stop us. We ate here Saturday and then Sunday ordered for pick up/to go.Complimentary coffee while you wait, everything is made fresh. Best mimosas in town and they have seasonal mimosas. Good sized portions from healthy options to great breakfast standards. Service is on point.

I like these homey and neighborhood places. They serve great food that are about 1000 calories per plate. Theur breakfast was good and all orders came out as requested.. the waiters were attentive and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thats pretty much all you can ask for from a casual diner..

The service is amazing the food is even better. The decor makes me feel like Im in an art gallery but serves food. It feels like it was furnished by Abe Lincoln fathers boss. If I could I would eat all my meals here but due to budget constraints 5/7 days isnt bad. Ask for Victor he knows whats up.

I came here on a recommendation on my way back home from San Francisco. Glad I went out of my way. The service was too notch, the breakfast was delicious, and the drinks were well executed. Honestly one of the better breakfast spots I’ve been to.

This place is fairly predictable to supply good food every time. I always love to get the Bills breakfast steak. The country potatoes are sauteed nicely and have great flavor on their own, although I prefer to put a little of the Pepper Plant hot sauce on it.Kids meals are also pretty good, and they usually will split a single kids entree if asked.Only gripe is this. Clean the lids and screw threads on the hot sauces and other condiments. The dried up and sloppy chunks are just gross.

On weekends, come early or be prepared to wait. At about 8am, tables are full. As a party of 2, you won’t have to wait long but anything more than 4 gets sticky. My go-to order is the 2-egg breakfast - corned beef hash extra crispy, country potatoes, fruit instead of eggs, and Hawaiian pancake instead of toast. It only costs $1 extra to have a pancake instead of toast! This breakfast usually is enough for breakfast and lunch for me.

Ordered burger medium well and no bacon, they brought the burger with bacon. The server was nice sent it back to the kitchen and returned after 10 minutes with well done burger and cold fried and dry bread obviously they don’t care about the customers. Never again

Bacon good but spent 17 for breakfast. Very slow and I got to Bills early. They took forever to serve. Then wanted to rush me out. A single person is not given a booth. When I left 30 min wait. Not worth it. I guess people like to throw money and wait for 45 mins. Not me.

This restaurant is not a typical American breakfast, eg bacon & eggs and hash browns it provides a wide range of very interesting options with a wide selection of beverages from mimosas to Irish coffee. Well be back!

The staff if nice and accommodating but other than the black coffee, fruit, oatmeal(no cream) and the potatoes(probably prepared on the same griddle as everything else) they have absolutely no vegan options.

The Tri-Valley has no shortage of solid breakfast options, but Bills Cafe is on the top of the list. They just do things right here. If youre going for a weekend brunch, be sure to be ready to wait, because the secret is out! People know about this spot and regularly return, but rightfully so.I personally go for the breakfast burrito but I ask for the hash browns on the inside. My daughter enjoys the blueberry pancakes, and although Im not much of a sweets guy, I thoroughly enjoy them, too. I have yet to sample Bills Cafes plethora of alcoholic options for breakfast, but I LOVE that these are available. I get the funny feeling that Bills is the spot to nurse a hangover with some greasy food and a little hair o the dog.Overall, this spot is great! My only complaint is that too many people agree with me.

Been multiple times and each time we are hopeful that it would get better. Poached eggs over done. My husband breakfast arrived at 2 separate times. Food tasted like it had been waiting to be picked up awhile. Just not worth the 50$ u pay for simple breakfast.

Arrived at 10:10 am on a Sunday. We were told 20 -25 minute wait. We had 5 adults and one car seat. 40 minutes later they told us they had a seat. Walked us back only to say the table was taken. Waited another 20 minutes and finally got a table. Fire the girls that work the front desk or just except they dont know what theyre doing!

This food is AMAZING! From Chilaquiles, omelettes, scrambles, and French toasts... just awesome. The server was soooo informative as well as attentive. Such a wonderful place to eat. Were so coming back when we come back in May!
